Default Figured it out...

I have at least 60 pounds of "baby weight" to get off, this is mostly in my belly area, kinda like still being pregnant. Only problem is my baby is 10 yoa. In the time since her birth I have lost, and gained many pounds. I can't seem to break this vicious cycle, and then it hit me. While I have always been a little overweight (5-10 lbs) I have never been fat like this, I usually gain all over, not just my belly. I don't feel fat when I look at my body seperately. So off came the clothes and the scary 360 began.

So today it begins, no diet plan just smaller (normal) portions, healthy food and lots of veggies, fruits and water. Also a trip to the gym to become reacquainted with some of the equipment.

I am planning a Christmas trip to Marathon Key...here's hoping I am fit and look good in a bathing suit!!

Good job. It always seems to take a revelation to get back on track.

As for the gym, try learning how best to use free weights. You'll work your core much better than machines (burn more fat too). Compound movements like squats and deadlifts worked wonders for me. There is nothing like the exhilaration of really lifting 135 pounds off the ground a few times.

Good luck! You can beat it!

Congrats on getting started! I'm with you on the baby weight. I lost 50 pounds and had about 25-30 left to lose, then I got pregnant and *gulp* gained ALL of it back, plus a few extra for good measure. So now they're coming back off, this time for good.

Your "diet" plan sounds just like mine. Nothing really formal yet, just much healthier choices and portions. And we are in the same area, sounds like we have a lot in common!

Good luck and keep us updated!
