Geri: Congrats on the loss! 3.25 is awesome!

Hello Everyone

Dee Glad the tests were without complications! Now keeping good thoughts for Monday's report!

I stayed OP this week but did not lose at all! Stayed the same! I did start exercise and I am wondering if I did get enough water to I am working on that this week. I do know that I do this slow, slow then big drop so I hope I am just dealing with patterns. One day at a time....

G'day

Gerri and Lily well done with your losses, hope I can report the same tomorrow after my weigh in :)
A question, is anyone familiar or knows of someone with the ww 123 programme on CD-ROM??
It is a little pricy and if I were to buy it I would like to know how helpful others have found it.
Have a great day all.
Cheers

Josie When they first leave it is very hard. But, this too will pass. Sometimes it is hard to remember that motherhood is the only job there is where the job description says that your job is to put yourself out of a job in 18 years. You never quite worrying. My oldest will be 40 this year and I still worry about him. I am sorry I didn't know you were online last night. I could have joined you. After supper I went to bed. I was tired.

Margot, don't worry about not losing. If anybody on this thread knows that staying OP pays off, it is you. I have never known anybody before who lost 95# in a single year. I remember when you joined us last year. I am so happy that I have had the opportunity to watch you lose. I hope you have the same opportunity with me this year. I will root for you on the exercise end and you can root for me on the food end. I wish staying OP was as easy for me as keeping the exercise commitment is.

We took the boys home this afternoon. Have had them for 2 full weeks. I enjoy them, but I am tired. Kelly started selling Girl Scout cookies this year. She is only 6 and so afraid. But, she is doing it. She looks so precious in her little Brownie uniform.

Maria: I think maybe Josie has that program, if I remeber right. Does it do recipes?
Great site by the way. Some really nice pictures there!

Margot: I would not worry about not losing either. It is probably the exercise. Bet you will lose big next week!

Geri: Oh how cute Kelly sounds. I bet she is adorable in the Brownie outfit. I bet she is scared selling them. I know if it was me at 6 I sure would be!

Hi Everybody
:) Way to go LILY , I see you are down another pound.~~~~~~Lily we are staying at the same condo on Kaanapali Beach that we always stay at. I can hardly wait until it's time to go.
Had my family over for appetizers and left-overs. My DIL is on crutches and tired from hobbling around.
Had a nice dinner and evening at our friends last night. We got home just after 11:00 so not too late.
Tomorrow I will try to get my summer things out and see what has to be washed, ironed etc.
Hi MOME, looking forward to you posting with us. :)
TRUDY what have you been up to? ;)

MOME, YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE :)
How are you doing today? LILY here on our board is our computer expert, so if you need a bit of help with your posts I know she will help you. I'm busy trying to get my house in order and I want to make "hotdog" buns with my bread machine. I'll let you all know how that turns out. I did not hear from Dee and I don't know what time her doctor's appointment is today. We are all hoping for good news. :)
I'll come back later and "see" you.

Just dropped by to let you know how I am doing.
Went to the Dr. today for my results. He said I was border line. Whatever that means. He said it wasn't important for me to know. All I needed to know is that I don't need surgery. He also said that I must have something else going on because of my low blood pressure. I guess that I will have to live with this chest pain until they decide to do something about it.
My dh has been phoning every day. He missed his plane by 2 days. When he got to the desk they said that his ticket was for jan 4 not jan 6. He couldn't beleive that his travel agent messed up. He managed to get on the flight. When he arrived in Prague guess what...no luggage. Deja vous...like last week in mexico no luggage.
My dd has had a migraine headache for three days now. She is not doing to well. She isn't sleeping much either.
Well I hope that you all have better news than I have.

G'day.

Dee boy you are not having a good time of it are you. I guess it is good to know that you are 'borderline' but I would HAVE to know what that meant. I guess we are all different, I am just a real pain (no pun intended :D)when it comes to my health and I am sure at times my specialist must just sigh when he knows I am in for my regular check up (had breast cancer some 5 years ago :().
Glorious day here today. Rode my bike to the ww meeting and I was amazed that I had lost 7 pounds, eventhough I had been very strict OP I thought a loss like that could not be right, sure enough before the end of the meeting the weighing person said there had been something wrong with the scales :( and anyone who wanted to could weigh in again.
My true weight loss was 2 lbs , a little more realistic.
Have a good day all.
Cheers

Dee, it is great that you don't need surgery. Does your doctor think that you are supposed to keep chest pain indefinetly and be happy about it And you do need to know what borderline means. It is your body and your heart and you have every right to be aware of the meaning of your diagnosis. I have a big problem with doctors who act that way. If you were his wife or mother, he would expect the doctor to take the time to inform them. I hope your DD's migraine goes away. Now that she knows you don't have to have surgery, it might get better.

I had the most fun experience today. I rode the bike at the gym all the time reading posts on 3FC and Dotti's. I got to read threads that I normally wouldn't take the time for. There some interesting stuff out there. And the hour on the bike went by much faster than usual.

The kids went home yesterday and i went into my state of collapse. Then I woke up at 3 a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep. So now I feel like a zombie.

Is Donna still gone or had she deserted us?

Make sure you feed the squirrel well, Slavika. How did the hot dog buns turn out?

I ordered some Baker's breakfast cookies. They are great. Not near as dry as the Silk's cookies that I can get here. The Baker's cookies are pricey, but they are a nice nutritious filling and low-point snack. They are worth every dime. I used to spend more than that a day on cigarettes.

Hi Everybody That is great news DEE that you will not need heart surgery. :) :)
So how is everybody coming along with their weight loss programs. I guess I just have to eat at the lower end of my points because I am managing to maintain but I wanted to lose a couple of pounds before holidays. I remember I could hardly wait to get to goal weight. When you get to goal weight you get to have a couple of points more per day but basically you are on the same program you were on when you were losing. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//dizzy.gif Of course there ARE benefits to getting to your goal weight but forgetting about Weight Watchers is sure NOT one of them LOL. :D
Well gang I wanted to let you know I made dough in my bread machine and made the hot dog buns and they were excellent.
MOME how is your weight loss coming along? I think you said you were on Weight Watchers too didn't you? Do you go to WW meetings or are you doing it at home?
One of the gals on one of the other boards posted this simple little recipe for a dessert, which I have made couple of times and thought you all might like to try it.
Jello/Yogurt Dessert
1 package of Sugar Free Jello (any flavour)
1 cup boiling water
1 cup low fat yogurt (I used plain)
Mix the jello with the 1 cup of boiling water until dissolved. Add the 1 cup of yogurt and mix well. Allow to set in the refrigerator. You may add fresh fruit or canned fruit to it like you would to plain jello if you wish. Serve with a bit of coolwhip. It's very nice and low in points.
Well tomorrow is WW day and Tea Time with my friends. I already weighed in for January so I don't have to weigh in tomorrow. YIPEE
I'll say good night, "see" you all tomorrow.
TRUDY I am using the green cosmetic bag you gave me~~~~thank you. :)

Hi gals..
Dee..I am so glad you don't need surgery. :) I think that it is important to know what border line means, and what to do about the low blood pressure though. Of course, you know what I think about that Doctor of yours. :( I hope we see you tomorrow.
Josie..I too had the blues with Empty Nest Syndrome. My little dog died Feb 97 and my Daughter got married June 97 and boy was the house empty. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//sick.gif I felt so bad, but then my DD and her DH sold the house they bought and were having another built, so they moved back in..with their dog for 4 months. :D That was just great. So it doesn't necessarily mean once they move out they are gone, they come back sometimes http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif
Slavika..It is a good thing I weighed in last week, because I am not going near any scales tomorrow. I am going to the meeting though, so I will see you there.
I had a rough week, WW-wize...don't even ask. That is one advantage of being a Lifetime Member and being within 2 lbs from goal, you only have to weigh in once a month.
That recipe looks yummy, I am going to try it.

Well, it is bed time for me.. Good Night http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//sleep.gif

Dee: Its great that you dont need surgery. I agree with the others tho. You need to know what Borderline means. Are they going to do something about the pain you are having? Hope your DD headache goes away soon.

Maria: 2 pounds is great! Your doing a super job!

Geri: I agree about the cookies. My sisters Husband needs to start eating high fiber stuff, so I told her about the cookies. He refuses to pay that much for them. But yet he use to smoke 2-3 packs aday. So $1.25 a cookie is nothing. Oh well his loss!

Slavika: The hot dog buns sound yummy. Maybe I need to invest in a bread machine. Recipe looks good to!

Trudy: Lucky you not having to weigh in! Have fun at tea time!

Dee - Let me tell you about me. I had ovarian cancer 6 years ago, a recurrence 2 years ago. My local doctor gave me 6 months. I went to MD Anderson in Houston where they looked at me and said that chemo and a surgery with a special laser and I would have a nice long remission. If I had listened to my local doctor, I would not be here. I have had to make an adjustment in my thinking--patients are customers. If you aren't satisfied, you can fire your doctor. But one that informs you of everything and answers all your questions should be the one we are seeking. Enough of my soapbox.

Geri, Maria, Lily - Did I miss anybody? Good for you on your losses. I have a whole bunch to lose after Christmas, but am diligently trying. Remember when we used to think, WW for awhile and then I can forget about it. Yeah, right!

Does anybody else out there HATE January? What a downer of a month! And it is looong! Must just feel like whining today. Have a megacold and just feel bad.

HI EVERYBODY Went to WW today and the topic in our class was to list the reasons why we wanted to lose weight and the advantages to losing it. It was a good class. I bought the new "Food Companion" it is much better then the old one. I like that the foods are listed alphabetically in the first section of the book and then by brand name in the second section. The "original" food companion listed the foods alphabetically too but did not have a section for Brand name foods.
MARIA Way to go with the 2# loss, that can make a gal happy. :)
GERI That's great that you can exercise and read all the posts on 3FC and Dotties at the same time. I registered the other day on Dotties but I don't get over there that often, but it's a really nice site too. Trust me, Sammy the Squirrel is eating ver well and I have made arrangements for a friend to come and feed him when I am away. LOL. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif I can't believe I even did that.
LILY You know you would love a bread machine. They are inexpensive to buy and the bread and the "dough" you make with them are really wonderful. I don't eat any more bread then I did before I got the machine it's just that now I eat really nice bread and buns.
GLENDA I don't mind January because it's close to February and then I get to get away from this cold weather for a little while.
Well DH just got home, and its 7:20PM and we still have not had dinner so I'll go now and stop by later and see what you all have to say.

Evening, everyone.

I just got back from my WW meeting and I lost 6 pounds! Of course, as I told my leader, I had to be absolutely perfect all week to do it, and I don't expect to be able to keep it up, but it sure does feel good to start out the first week of January with a bang! January is one of my favorite months, GLENDA, because it's a new start, the old year is behind us, and there is so much to look forward to. The days are getting longer and spring is just around the corner.

DEE, good news about not having to have surgery. I have to agree with the other ladies about finding out what borderline means. It's important for your and your DH to know all the facts so you can make your own decisions about your medical needs. Sorry to hear about your daughter's headache, several members of my family suffer from migraines and they are really debilitating. Resting in a dark, quiet room seems to be all that helps.

GERI, I wish our gym had internet access. That would be great. We only have TV, and I don't usually bother to watch. I find the time goes faster when I take a book and use the book holder on the treadmill. Where do you find the Baker's cookies? They sound good even if expensive. My favorite treat now is also a bit extravegant. Do you know about Skinny Cows? They're big ice cream sandwiches that don't taste "light". Each one is 2 points, and they cost $4.00 for six. They're not available in too many stores, though. Market Basket is the only one I know of that has them.

SLAVIKA, your jello recipe sounds really good. I'm going to make some this evening. I'm also going to try a new soup recipe I got at the meeting, and if it is as good as it sounds I'll post it.

Glenda..It is a good thing you didn't take your local Doc's word and went for another opinion. A good lesson for all of us. Sorry about the "Megacold".. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//sick.gif that would make anyone grouchy.
Lily..You give your sis's hubby the recipe for the Chocolate High Fiber Cookies, they are cheap to make. Isn't it funny what we choose to spend our money on? WTG on the l lb down.
Mome.. Hi, welcome to the board, looking forward to hearing more from you :D.
Geri..I need the Internet access at my gym too.. think I will make a suggestion Right now I am using Slavika's audio book, The Partner while I work out. Anything so I don't focus on the "time". WTG on the 3.25 down.
Maria..2 lbs down, that is a good start for your 1st week. Too bad the scale wasn't true for the -7 lbs.
Dee..we missed you today ~ how are you doing?
Marsha.. WOW -6lbs. WTG. :D. I feel the same way about January, the days are getting longer, and even the sky looks different. Spring is coming! However, in our case it is a few months away .
Slavika..the Jello Dessert is very tasty. Thanks :D.

Good Night gals, I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow :D

Hi girls,

Marsha, 6#!!!. Aren't you the showoff? Here is your happy dance. *** :) :)*** :) :)*** The only time I ever lost 6# in one week I had a baby to show for it. Keep up the good work.

Welcome Mome. You are in the right place. We will support you on your weight loss journey. We will laugh with you and cry with you. We don't judge or criticize. We have all been there.

Slavika, I am going to try that recipe tomorrow. The only yogurt I have in the house is Dannon fruit on the bottom---not exactly low fat. I want to wait till I get some plain yogurt. I think I would like that better so that it didn't interfere with the jello.

I am trying real hard to get back to my exercise commitment. It sure is hard to get back once you have gone off track.

Did anybody watch the Mole tonight? I think I am going to like that show.

Geri I saw there was a new show starting tonight but since I got the computer I don't watch as much TV and tonight NYPD started up again (my very favorite). Good Morning everyone. I've been reading every day but have very little time to post. I have dropped the water weight from Christmas in a week and as of Monday morning it seems that I gained 3 pounds since Thansgiving. Considering that I gained at least 15 during the same time period last year I am very happy. I am staying on plan, but I'm really fighting the munchies in the evenings. I have given in to air popped popcorn but nothing else so I am hanging on. I should come here and post when I have an 'attack' :)

Hi all,
Just stopped in to read what is going on in your worlds. Mine is nuts.

:)** :)** :) Happy dance for all you LOSERS. WW is the only place that loser is a complement.

Dee I sure hope you can get your doctor to give you the low down on your condition. You need to know so you can decide what to do next.

Slavika I know what you mean some time those pounds just don't want to leave once we get to a weight that we've been at for so long. I'm going to check out the new book we have on plateaus(?) Read it once but need to study it more and see if it will help. You can ask your leader for it.

Well Ive got to get going have to leave the house in 1 1/2 hours for the day . We have a 4 hour break between meetings on wednesday so am taking my walking shoes and plan on at least 1 hour of walking in the mall. Then Shopping.

Here is a greay quote I found yesterday

Marsha: Great loss! I havent tried the Skinny Cows yet but eveybody seems to rave about them. I will have to look for them.

Trudy: I did give Sis the High Fiber cookie recipe. She said she was gonna try it. She said she was gonna go ahead and buy some of the cookies to just to try.

Geri: LOL on the only time you lost 6 pounds http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//lol.gif . Great that you can read all the posts will exercising. Must make the time go by fast!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGOT sure hope you have a really super day. :)
PHILL Good for you getting some of that weight off. I read somewhere that you can put 1/4 cup popcorn kernels into a paper bag fold the bag closed and pop it in the microwave. Oh you know where I think I read it in the WW Leader Salle's letter.
KAREN great quote. :)
I am waiting for my friend to come and pick me up for our weekly day of lunch and shopping~~~~~I love http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//love.gif Wednesdays. Tomorrow I have to go to the dentist. On Sunday I "MIGHT" have taken a shortbread cookie out of the freezer. Anyway this "alleged frozen cookie" might have damaged my tooth, when I bit into it. :( YIKES. I hate going to the dentist but I am scared that if I don't get it looked at I might have trouble with it when I am away.
Ok, I'll be back later. Bye now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGOT..I hope you have a wonderful day :D
Phill.. I get the munchines in the afternoon, that is why I am on line right now. I am trying to stay out of the kitchen until my "planned snack"..Oy Vey! Will it ever get any easier? http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//insane.gif You did much bette this year.
Geri.. I forgot all about The Mole, I was going to watch it. I wonder if there is a web address for it?
Karen.. That is a good idea, I will ask my leader for the book on plateaus, I am stuck too. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//dizzy.gif
Lily.. I bought the new Food Companion yesterday, and I think it is better too. Also, at the back there are several blank pages for jotting down things.
I have been reading about the Skinny Cows on other boards, I wonder if we can get them here in Canada?
Slavika..I sure hope you didn't damage the tooth with the frozen shortbread. I can't lecture on the hazzards of eating frozen cookies, because I have done that too. I am sure enjoying that audio tape you borrowed me. I think I am hooked. I am 1/2 way through The Partner. I walked for an hour today and couldn't believe how fast the time went. http://www.3fatchicks.com/ubb//spinning.gif

It is a beautiful day here. The cold snap has gone away (never to return ~I hope), nothing but blue sky and sunshine. :D Hope you all are having a great day.
