wanttofeel, that is a huge reason I come to 3FC...to find my support here...I am still uncomfortable discussing weight in real life as a general rule..I also do not want to hear the comment, "you have lost enough"...ONLY I WILL decide that..and right now, I am just not there yet...I have come this far and want to finish what I started to my satisfaction..

welcome! glad you are here!

I had one of my sisters telling me I am "too thin" at her birthday dinner a few weeks ago...she was sitting across from me at the table and could see my face, which is a pretty thin face, but she could not see my abdomen or hips. At 143 pounds, I am definitely NOT "too thin." Only you know what is right for you.

Thighs Be Gone-- That's exactly how I feel. I hate to discuss it in real life. Only my Mom and sister know that I'm trying to lose weight. I think my friends realize how uncomfortable it makes me feel and haven't mentioned my weight loss even though they must be able to tell.

I love reading about everyone's progress and really think that this forum has contributed a lot to my weight loss.

I have had so many people telling me recently I don't need to lose any more, or that I shouldn't lose any more. Alright, I could stay where I am - I'm perfectly healthy, but I have a goal weight and I want to hit it!!

I'm new here and trying to find my category! I would love to finally lose 30 lbs. I have lost previously with WW (twice), tried TOPS years ago, and a few other programs in between. I have IBS and can't eat all the fruits and veggies usualy recommended. I am currently trying to eat smaller amounts, lower fat,and if I snack at night, eat almonds,or yogurt. I do like a small capucinno in the am and occasionally a glass of wine in the evening. Hate to give those up but I may have to. No encouragement will be refused.:)

:welcome:

If I were you, I'd work out your calories for an average day - including those almonds, cappuccino and wine - you may be surprised.

want2feelgreat - Welcome! It's hard to get your head around the size you've become, no matter what the weight, when you've lost some pounds, no matter how much! Part of it is getting used to the new you, but if support is what you need, you've come to the right place.

Welcome!

I'm new to this neck of the woods too but I've been lurking for quite some time and it seems like the perfect support and motivation I need. Sometimes it really is too embarassing to talk to friends or even family about it. Hope to see you around (:
