Bombshell here!

MEENAMOM - I forbid you to quit! ABSOLUTELY forbid you to quit. We all have those weeks. Success is not just in scale numbers. Stay determined, stay on task, and stay with us~ its a brand new week!

I just finished a not so yummy snack, but its OP so whatever. BF on the job hunt is really becoming stressful for both of us. Not $ wise, emotionally though. He doesn't sit still well. Pray something comes through soon. We are going on month #4. YIKES!

Hope you all are doing well! BBL!

Meenamom - 1200 calories of what? Post some of your food journal, and let's see if there's something that looks like it might be causing the problem. If you're exercising a lot 1200 calories may not be enough, your body might hang on to any extra weight as a cautionary measure.

I am thrilled with my weigh-in this week. But it's been a long time coming for me. I maintained at 152-155 for the past 4-1/2 months. That's a long plateau, but I knew I was still making fitness gains even if the scale didn't show it. Now that the scale is moving again, it really jumped. It's not the first time the scale has played this game with me either. I was stuck at 172 for about the same amount of time. So every 20 pounds or so, I get stuck... I hope it sticks for good at 132. ;)

Nixmon: Sorry that your BF still hasn't been able to find anything. Sending all my good vibes your way!

Meenamom: Don't be so harsh on yourself, we all have good weeks and bad weeks, but I will second what Dix said. Let us know what you're eating and how much you're exercising and maybe we can figure something out together.

Dix: Yay!!! You are finally out of that plateau! Congratulations!!
You have done really well with all your exercise, but I bet it's good to see the scale finally cooperating with you.

I just finished my official workout for today, I think I will add some walking when the sun goes down a little bit just to keep my minutes up.

Hi Bombshells!
I am so sorry to not have posted sooner. I misunderstood, thinking this challenge started today. Well I'm on it now and hope to be a faithful contributer to our weight-loss efforts. Gotta go for now, hope to chat more later.

Jacque9999 - I live in Perry County. So we are very close to each other.

Well this weekend went pretty good. Yesterday was my birthday so I didn't watch what I ate. I guess that's why I only lost .2 lbs this week. I am going to try and go for a walk tonight with my hubby and DS. I need to start getting up again at 4:30 to workout. I took some time off and I shouldn't have. So anyway...have a good rest of the day.

Hi everyone - My weight loss last week was fabulous do to some crazy walking the last 2 weeks. I'm probably going to do one more week of this type of walking and then scale back some as I add back in my swimming and biking. I think I found a Tri to sign up for in September. (I have bigger plans for next year!)

Looks like everyone did really well! Woot Blue!

Hey Dora- I'm with you...thought it was today so I haven't been on this site much.

Anyway- glad to be joining everyone again. I've had a self-induced plateau/gain this past month and am happy for the challenge to help me get back on track. I've been up walking early with friends as well now that the weather is so nice. Now to get better with my food intake!! Ah, one day at time I guess and mostly good choices will do it :)

Hello!

How are you all doing today? I'm good. Been running errands for 3 hours this morning. :faint: Doesn't that count for anything? Drive 4 mins, shop for an hour, bk in car, stand in line at post office for 20 mins at least, bk in car, etc etc. All on my cup of coffee. Haven't eaten one bite all day and it's after 3pm. NOT GOOD. :nono:

So boiling eggs to make a tuna fish salad the kids and I like on hot days with crackers. (12 cals each, mind u). I use low fat mayo, boiled eggs cut small, but only half the eggs do I leave the yolk, I do use some swt pickle relish but I add up cals of whole bowl then fourth it and eat that much then I know what cals are for just me. You learn the art of improvising and substituting things that don't change the taste anyway and it all adds up. AND you add lots of numbers as you lose but it's worth it. Since the first of the month of May, I'm down 11 lbs. (I show another .5 lb down since yesterday.)

I was really staying too low some days but now that I make sure I eat at least 1200 a day I seem to really be losing more quickly. So it really is true everyone that if you try to starve, it won't work. (I know I know, those ppl on Survivor lost 30 lbs in 30 days but they were starving, it wasn't good for them and they had to do lots of physical challenges. I don't think I could do what they did anyway, so I'm not about to try.) :woops:

I feel good. Finally feeling like eating this way is my regular habit. That's good news. After you eat smaller portions of whole foods plus a few bites of other stuff for 30 days it becomes your 'normal'. I had my doubts, even tho I'd done this before and thought I had the habit there. But I really do think it can be done forever. Look at all the maintainers here. I want to be one!!! :dancer:

Ok, gotta go help the kids,

Bye for now! Selina

Today I had to make up my fitness test for sit-ups. Last sit-up test I took was in January and I did 33 in one minute. Today I did 50 in one minute! I was so happy! I usually get winded by 25, but I just kept going and didn't feel any pain until I stood up!
Sorry to brag... I had to share. I'm so happy!

Wow I checked out the weigh-in thread and we had some awesome losers!! Congrats to all who lost weight. I lost the weight I had gained over Memorial Day weekend this week. I am still 2 lbs from my lowest weight in the last challenge. I have been stuck in this area (173-177) for about 2 full months. I lose weight all week and then gain it all back on the weekend. Need to come up with a good plan like wiring my jaws shut on Friday morning! lol!!! I was actually surprised this morning that the scale was still at 175.4 I was sure I had gained weight thru this weekend too. I am open for any suggestions anyone has.

Aww you people are Lovely..Thanks not giving up, I did do only three miles today I usually aim for 6 on the ellipitcal and Jillian's 30 day shred...Sometimes on my ambitious days I add three to 5 miles of an outdoor power walk to that..So by my calculations I should be losing....BUT I am getting my time of the month tomorrow so once I found that out I was kinder to myself and I just might have a glass of wine tonight..
Last week I did slack on the exercise..
Thanks for the love :)
Must go post my 3 lb weight gain LOL
As for eating I always don't make the 1200 calories and the only bread I have is Eziekial and I track everything on the daily plate I have been wondering if I have gone into starvation mode, since I was anorexic/bulimic as a teen and my body doesn't like to starve...
Could be TOM and not enough water..I don't think I drink enough..

Well only 15 mins of exercise today added to all the running around I did all day taking care of everyone and running errands and cooking and doing laundry and dishes. Does it ever end? Nah!!! LOL. :yikes:

Anyhoo, gotta go dress the babies for bed and settle them down. Running late on that but it's ok sometimes to run late.

:::trying not to be a perfectionist::: :yoga:

Hugs to each of you, more errands in the morning then back here for more of the same!!!

Meena's Mom, if it makes you feel any better, I'm a gainer too this week. I ate well, worked out 300 minutes (and I'm no wussie exerciser either- I PUSH it) and I had a gain.

I'm sure we'll both have good losses next week. Just have to keep powering through it. My hubs put out a half-arsed effort and lost 4.2 pounds. Men! It reminds me of that commercial with the cartoon people where the guy makes tiny changes and loses and the woman hardly drops at all.

I made many cookies and squares today--too many to count. I made 8 different kinds so I think I have enough cookies for the bridal shower. The downside to making 8 different kinds of cookies or any cookie at all is that I eat them when I'm making them...sigh... So I ate many cookies, but not as many as I made. They are all in the freezer now out of reach and sight.

Later on tonight I did get in some exercise though. I didn't think I'd get any done but I pulled out my resistance bands and put in the tape and did half the workout. I haven't done it since December and I was really done in after half way through. I'll finish it on Wednesday when I do the circuit again. I also rode 15 minutes on my bike. To my credit I ate very light of "real" food because of my cookie binge but I don't think that actually cancelled out the cookies.

Anyway tomorrow is new and no cookies for me tomorrow. I'm making a potato and vegetable fritata with baked beans and probably some kind of green salad so no junk for me tomorrow.

I too was looking at the weigh in thread and was amazed at some of the weight loss some of you have had. Wouldn't it be great if we could all lose like that every week.

Emily,
We could be twins - I too had a "self-induced gain" this past - well 3 months. I'm also happy for the challenge for accountability. I'm going to hang on your last words - one day at a time - as I didn't do too well today. Hoping the extreme heavy working in the yard will help some. Congrats to all who lost, hang in there for those who didn't (me). Gotta get back to my genealogy project - big gathering coming up end of June.

Meena - looking at the amount of exercise you do, I would wager that 1200cal is almost certainly NOT enough for you! Don't give up, and if you struggled with disordered eating in the past, you should be especially gentle with yourself when things don't go the way you expect on the scales.

Selina - Look at you go!!! You are kicking butt already :)

Kate - I'm getting married 10/10/08 and I'm near your height and weight. I think you and I should be buddies! :P

I've had a rough week, but my WW "week" starts over tomorrow, so this next week is going to be better. We tried to go to the gym tonight and ran into a parking snafu, but instead of skipping it, we went up to the high school near our house and played basketball instead.

I'm going to Toronto in July to see some friends and family, and I would LOVE to be under 185 by then, so that's my goal right now... I've got to focus on the little goals, because if I look at the overall goal, I get too overwhelmed.

That's been a big slack area for me so far! My membership came with 3 free sessions with a trainer that I haven't used yet -- I keep meaning to set something up so she can help me get a weight routine going. I should make setting up a session with her one of my goals for the week.

melwolfe- I doing the C5K, which I actually got the suggestion from one of dixied posts, it's on itunes, Robert Ulltery, he has this 12week program, that is for the beginner, who have never tried a running program before, there is also other programs available, some are free, this one is free. So far so good, I think I might even stick with week one for a second week. Good Luck on your Breast Walk/Run this weekend, my daughter is doing a 3day 60mile Breast Walk in October.

URGHHHH!!!

I just got back from spending a few days down at my mom's. We get there Friday early afternoon and left Monday morning. It is amazing how much damage a person can do in such a short time. I did get one run in on Friday but other than some gardening with my mom Sunday morning I have done nothing else.

I WILL run today. I WILL eat OP today. And I am going to rabbit proof my garden before the bunnies get interested in all my fresh new plants.

Good morning everyone! :coffee:

I am about to go exercise. Will be easy when I start walking with my son to swim team practice at 7am 5 days a wk! Not sure how many minutes it will be. Gonna check it. And I'll get a little more sun than usual. Got some the other day. Looks better than WHITE. LOL.

Thx to all of you who have offered me encouragement. It's frustrating for me right now because all of the weight I've lost several times before. Once I'm under 197 or so, then I'm in territory I've rarely ever seen. So I feel mad at myself for letting all this come back on. Uggh!!!! :tantrum:

Keep on swimming, keep on swimming... love Dory. Doesn't someone has that as their quote? So cute.

Well have a great day everyone!!! Going today to get my nails done. Been forever and I need a break. Dh is coming home to take the kids to swim practice, etc. so I can be free to go. Then Emily's last game is Sat along with her trophy party then Sunday is San Antonio, and Sea World, will walk tons there! Yay! :yay:

Oh and I'm down a whole pound since Sunday when I posted for Monday. So I'm glad about that. 228.0. So that's 11.5 lbs since May 1! :goodscale:

Don't feel bad... you're not the only one. I got down to 186/190 this past summer. I'm a bit annoyed at having to relose it but I try and look at it this way. If you were in maintenance you'd have to be careful about what you eat anyway right? So you have to do it regardless. Its never a straight clean path. Plus look how far you are away from your starting weight! There are so many people who gain it all back, You've done good job of keeping off quite a bit of that weight and caught yourself before the slip-up was overwhelming.

Well, I guess congratulations are in order for the Red Team. What a close race week one turned out to be. I was a runner up. I've never been one before and it felt good to see the percentage of body weight lost. I don't suppose we'll see such high numbers next week but I'm going to try for at least one pound.

I've got sore shoulders today from using the resistance bands in my circuit workout. Haven't done that since Christmas and I'm so out of shape it's pathetic. Must get with the program and burn that fat.

Today wasn't completely OP, but it was just a small carton of chocolate milk. Nothing too killer. My friend who usually trades my milk for her juice wasn't at school today, so I ended up drinking it.
Usually stuff like that ruins my focus and such, but I'm still workin on it and not letting it distract me.

This week isn't going so well for me. Food is fine, but getting my exercise is becoming more and more difficult. We have a surprise visit by the in laws so I have to get everything ready for that, plus I am just feeling lousy in general. The scale is still moving in the right direction at about -.2 lbs a day, but I just feel blah. We finally set up the total gym and I used that yesterday for way too long because today it hurts to move, but I still managed to do cardio and a little yoga, just at a much lower degree than normal. I just hope I snap out of this soon.

Hi Bombshells!!!

I was OP yesterday. Friday morning is when my son and I start walking to swim team n the mornings. Will be hard getting up an hour earlier than even school but may be good for my weightloss to walk there 5 days a wk! :running:

Got my nails done yesterday, glad to have them back. We have lots of stuff coming up and I had been letting them breathe but wanted them to look nice. So that was a nice break for 1.5 hrs. Except where she cut me once. Ouch. :stress:

Well, I better get off here and get moving. Sitting in this chair won't do a thing for me! :nono:

Oh and one more lb and I get to change my chick to 50lbs lost. Still mad at myself because I remember when it was 75 lost.

Have a great OP day!!! Progress, not Perfection!!! :coach:

Mornin' everyone!

Yesterday I received my Kettlenetics kit so I gave it a try last night. OMG, I was sweating bullets before the 20-minute introductory DVD (KB Elements) was over. Then I did the second one (Flowmotion Basics) for another 20 minutes and was sweating cannonballs. :faint: My biggest problem is trying to coordinate opposite movements and limbs, like when your right arm has to do one thing at the same time your left leg is doing something else, and switching back and forth.

BTW, dixied, that's a great spreadsheet for the weight loss figures! Thank you for the work you're doing. :) (sorry about your lost post!) :(

Small personal victory- I just finished 50 minutes of Turbo Jam. I was COMPLETELY unmotivated to workout today. I almost quit 3 times during the workout and I'm rarely that way- I'll finish once I start. The last week has been a bit of an emotional struggle from the weight loss perspective (all effort, no reward) so kicking it in the butt today when I really didn't want to makes me proud.

Soon2befitchick- You'll lose the pound and be able to change your chick and your making great progress keep up the great work.

I didn't get my workout in on Monday cause I was so tried from Sunday night cause I didn't get home til like 2 am. I just took that day off. My eating has been really good the past 2 days not POP but I haven't been all up in the junk food thx goodness.:carrot: I did my 35 min ab bootcamp yesterday man I was sweating bullets. Today I have a 55 min basic bootcamp workout after lunch. I hope to see the scale go down this Saturday unless I end up having water retention or muscle gain possibly. I hope everybody else is doing good.

I have spent the morning (when not trying to post here :p) on www.dailyburn.com. It's the site that used to be gyminee, if any of you have heard of that site. It's a weight tracking/workout log/food log kind of site. But, it has a nice feature that I haven't found on any of the other such sites: "Create a Recipe". Finally a way to easily figure out how much calories/fat/protein/carbs in my favorite recipes. I could do the same thing with fitday.com, but it wasn't nearly as easy. I'm a happy camper. :D

If any of you decide to join (the basic program is free), let me know. You can "friend" people, who are then called your "Motivators". My user name is the same as on 3FC.

I'm considering paying for a 3 month Pro upgrade ($15 for 3 month) to check out their meal planner and grocery list maker. Then again, excel is free to use. :D

What area in the burg do you live? Funny how you find people in your own backyard!! Maybe you want to join the boot camp I do 3 mornings a week. PM if you want the gory details.

This sucks. I just lost a huge post with personals to everyone who's posted since Monday. Grrr! I hope no one else had this problem. I'll be back once I've calmed down. :(

I HATE when that happens.

I am also very ready for the heat to arrive in Northern Michigan. The stupid neighbors have still been using their wood stoves daily and the smoke is driving my lungs insane. We haven't used our furnace in 6 weeks...

Just coming to check in with everyone.

Exercise has been good since the beginning of the challenge. Now I only have to remember that THAT is what I have to do if I want to lose any weight.
Eating has been good as well. Hopefully the weekend won't derail my efforts once again. I now have some strategies in order to help me through though.

Keep up the good work everyone!

Hi all!

Silly me...I hadn't realized that a new thread started for this week....duh! LOL

So I just got done reading through the posts for the week, glad everyone is doing well!
I'm stepping up my exercise because I think my body has figured out what I was doing and I've been stagnant on the weight loss for the past five days...grrr
The last time I gave losing weight a good try, was before my wedding (in 1990!) and the only way I accomplished that was to limit my eating to basically rice cakes and 1 small meal a day. (Not good I know...but that was what was working at the time.)
But now that I'm keeping track of calories in and calories out, it's working too...slowly but surely. :)

I hope everyone is having a great week!

I just got Jillian's 30 Day Shred...WOW is all I have to say after the first workout!

Hi Everybody,Just wanted to say Hi, before I go to bed, I had a really tough day. My back has been giving me trouble since I did day2 of my new running program, I think I need to rest for a day or so, and take it easier on my old self. I hope to be able to at least do some yoga tomorrow, today was totally out of the question.

Well, I need to go rest, have a great Thursday everyone.

Hi Bombshells,
I entered my weight today as we will be out of town from today, Thursday thru Monday attending my daughter's Special Olympics meet in Grants Pass, then spending some time at the Rogue Valley River Campground. I've almost lost 2 pounds this week, better than last when I didn't even know we were "on".:p
We've had quite the thunderstorms here, but my garden loved it. Got a lot more in this year, including 3 kinds of corn - yum. Well, on the road again for me.

Morning girls.

Looks like everyone has been busy! I just caught up on the thread. Thunderstorms here knocked out power for 8hours yesterday and I dang near went nuts! Couldn't walk outside (rain, lightening), couldn't treadmill (electricity needed). BF was stir crazy from silence and nothing to do, dog was anxious due to no exercise. Ugh..... We're back up now, but it looks bleek outside again today.

Been fairly OP the last 3 days... yet the scale moves upward. Dang TOM. Looking forward to walking at some point today to scare off some of its effects.

Dixied ~ my BF is the cook... I am going to give him that site address. I would love to know the real calories in some of his yummy recipes!

I would love to do personals. But gotta go catch up on another thread and get to work. Have a great day all! BBL

Dee - YAHOO!!! :woohoo: Way to go!

I've been struggling the last few days. This was my first gain on WW, and it's sent me for a bit of a spin. Staying one plan, but only just barely. Think I've figured out that things will improve if I start planning my lunches better - I do plan for breakfast, snacks, and dinner, but I've been eating lunch at work. It's just using too many points, and keeping me interested in not-so-great foods. So this weekend I'll be buying more groceries and planning my lunches for next week. Hopefully that will help me refocus.

It's also STINKING hot here lately - very unseasonably hot. It's 18C (65F) already, and it's only 7:20am! Yesterday it was up over 28C (82F), and very humid. Vancouver doesn't usually get this hot til late July/August.

I've undone almost all the damage from my excursion to my moms house. I might actually be able to post a loss this week. Now why can't I get my brain to comprehend that eating well actually works????

The plan today is to put the kids training wheels back on their bikes. We took them off a few weeks ago and the kids haven't touched their bikes since. I guess they just weren't ready. I would rather have them outside riding than so afraid they won't get on them at all. Maybe I can get the whole family to ride while I wog. One can hope.

Dix - Congrats on the 6's. That is SO awesome. I can only imagine how excited you are. I know I was ecstatic to be able to fit into a regular XL. It has been probably 12-15 years.

Congrats to all of you who are able to find hours a day to exercise. I'm envious! And also congrats to all of you who are sticking to your new healthy way of eating, even when u aren't losing. It's the habit that will be most important in the long run.

Hi All!!

Drove to Pittsburg yesterday (about a 6 hour drive one way) and back. We went to see our newest nephew. He is adorable but the drive was a killer. Ate really well though and the scale was down to 174.8 this morning. which is 1.4 lbs away from my lowest weight. Looking forward to getting back there so I can feel a sense of accomplishment again.

I had a nsv today: dh is being really mean today I know it is part of his treatment. The medications give him mood swings. Well I came in determined to eat some potato chips I knew where in the pantry but I talked myself down and had a bag of 100 cal pop corn. I know I still ate because of emotions but I at least chose wisely.

Dee-:bravo: on the size 6's

Selena-Just do what you can fit into your day. You are doing great. Please don't compare yourself to anyone else it's like comparing apples to oranges. You are at one place in your life where all you can carve out is 20 mins which is fine for now.

Have a great day!!!

Wow, size 6, dixied! I've never been that low, ever. I went straight from kids sizes to a 14! Congratulations!!

Hi everyone, just checking in to say I'm doing pretty well. I bloated up to 70.5 kg but I'm back down to my lowest, 69.5. I'd love to hit 69 before weigh-in this week, a new low for me since starting weight loss. In June 2007, I went to Puerto Rico weighing 150 and came back 5 days later weighing 158... and never lost it! So I guess sometime 2 years ago I was 69 kg (152 lbs) for a day or an hour in Puerto Rico!

I've been doing really well exercising thanks to My Fitness Coach for Wii. This morning they did the 10 day re-assessment. I had lost inches in the places they measured, arms, chest, waist, hips and thighs. I actually got a new low measurement for waist (30.5 in - started at 34 in) and thighs (25.5 in - started at 27.75 in). I've always had thunder thighs and thought less than 25 inches would be ideal... if I keep this up, I could be there this month!

Hope you're all kickin it!

I'm going to keep pushing myself and see if I can cough up a good loss for Monday. I'm almost back to where I was BEFORE I started the weight training. Then again, I've got a weight training workout today so I guess we'll see if it stays down or goes back up. I'm 'lifting heavy' so I'm pretty sore after.

I was the same way. I distinctly remember being in 5th grade and wearing a pair of my aunts size 1's. I thought I was so cool because all the other girls were wearing 12-14's, in little kid sizes.

When I started buying school clothes for 6th grade they were a size 12 juniors! I started my period the very first day of 6th grade so my body was going through a lot of changes that summer.

Thanks Mary, and all you guys. I hope I can just focus on what I can do, not what everyone else is doing.

My left heel hurts. I notice it hurts more when I have had to sit for long periods. It's like a nerve is getting messed with. Anyone know if that could be it? The doc thought plantarfasciatis (sp?) But I got a shot in my foot and it's not at all better and wore the inserts etc. It doesn't hurt in normal things until I've sat working or driving a long time. It sucks. By the time at nite lately when I have a few mins to exercise I hurt there and wonder if I should force myself to use the foot. Makes it worse usually. I've been doing leg lifts etc while sitting to get in my few mins so I have at least THAT. Uggh. I guess I'm just falling apart. :stress:

Makes me want to lower my cals more bc can't do much else to lose. I think adding more water will help tho. Will try that. At least I can control that. :swim:

Ok, I'm so proud of all of u signing up for things to help you move forward! I used the site America On the Move a few yrs ago for about a year's time and walked over 1 million steps in 3 months and had lost over 50 lbs and was featured on their site. They asked me to do a commercial in NY but by the time they asked I had gained 10 lbs. (because I was exhausted, had my newborn daughter and she was preemie, eating every other hour at nite, and my husband was ill plus I had my son and was taking care of other children too!) LOL. And so I didn't want to do it-felt like a hypocrite. But also there were things about that site that wasn't so cool. Like the way your daily info goes away after you switch trails, and also it got boring after you did the trails that let you walk across the US but it didn't go by real miles, etc. So didn't want to mess with all that.

Anyhoo, it helped while I was using it! I just needed to stay focused and it's my fault I didn't. Uggh!! Haven't seen it around much after all that anyway.. Weird.

Well, you all take care and I will try to write tmrw too! Hugs!!

Thanks Meena. I've never done one before but I think it'll be a blast. I'm doing it with my daughter and cousin-in-law! I just dread the getting up early. Not really worried about my time and all that I know I won't be able to run the whole way and my cousin has Crone's so there's no way she can run the whole thing either, so we'll start out running and then walk.

Also, yes, tomorrow will be better either way. I did get some walking in today but just had zero energy all day. I think maybe my body needed the extra calories today for whatever reason...(maybe it overheard about the 5K??:D)...... At any rate I will stick to plan tomorrow and it's all good.

Thanks again and I better get to bed 5:00 am comes early especially when I normally don't have to get up until 6:45 or so......

Night all!

I am a Massage Therapist and I used to work for a podiatrist..Ice your foot and the best ice pack is a can of fruit juice..I know it sounds odd but bear with me ...Get the fruit juice ice pack put it on the floor and roll your foot on it...Ice no matter how much it bothers always helps ...
If you wake up with pain in the bottoms of your feet and it hurts to walk probably Plantar Fascitis (not a DR so dont take my word)
Ice Ice Ice...Than when it gets better start with toe curling excercising and I am sure there are more feet exercises online..
I have similar problems so I know
Hope you are better soon

Just got back from prom! Had a great time! I wasn't exactly OP... (I ate my friend's date's salad as and they ate my pasta. All good, but then they served the ice cream sundaes. I danced a lot, so that should have burned most of it.)

Morning everyone,

Sigh...TOM came a few days earlier than expected so I went ahead and weighed in (1.2 gain) before the bloat got worse. I wish my biological clock had a control on it that would have realized a long time ago hey, this chick isn't planning on having kids, let's shut this thing off. :p Anyway, I was down earlier in the week so, hopefully, I'll have a nice drop next week. :^:

Aw, you look great, Silly! Glad you had a blast! :carrot:

Good morning ladies!

Just had some breakfast, and I'm about to get changed so we can go to the gym. It's only supposed to go up to 22C today! Since it's finally tolerable outside, I might go for a walk this afternoon too.

Some idiot in a dump truck hauling a flatbed trailer felt the need to go about 50mph while I was trying to wog.

What a jerk! Congrats on getting out for a wog. :)

I won't be as fast as last summer, but that's okay the important bit is to get out there and do it. Yeay!.

Best attitude ever! I think it's awesome that you're doing a second tri - I remember your posts about it last year.

Makes me want to lower my cals more bc can't do much else to lose. I think adding more water will help tho. Will try that. At least I can control that. :swim:

Selina, why would you lower your calories when you say you've been losing already? You're doing GREAT with your first few weeks back OP - just keep doing what you're doing and let your body do it's thing.

with me ...Get the fruit juice ice pack put it on the floor and roll your foot on it...Ice no matter how much it bothers always helps ...

Great suggestion - one of my coworkers has plantar fasciitis and we always catch her doing this under her desk. :P

Hey Sillygirl! You and your date look great! So glad you had a great time!

I'm out of town for the weekend and trying to be good about food :^:, but the good news is, I just scoped out the fitness center they have here at the hotel and I'm excited! I'll be able to try out an elliptical for the first time in a little bit! (Only workout machine I've ever had a chance to touch is a treadmill. :))

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

SillyGirl, yay for fitting in your dress! A big motivation for me is to fit into smaller (and cuter) clothes. That's great you were able to drop down a size in just four weeks! Such inspiration!

Two birthday weekends in a row (not mine!), lots of drinking and unhealthy snacking. But I have dialed up my exercise levels and I'm holding steady at a 1 lb loss for the week. I am slow moving today but hopefully I can get some exercise in and keep my calories in check for my last weigh-in of the week tomorrow. Come on 69 kg!! I've been waiting so long to see you!

Dropping in to say Hi! Doing fairly well. Was so busy this week didn't get a lot of work outs in. But did some. Scale is moving downward so that is good.

Silly- You looked great! Congrats on fitting into your dress!

Suzie-How did you like the elliptical. It is not one of my favorite machines. I have tried it at least 30 times but it just feels like hard work to me not enjoyable like the treadmill.

Mavis- here's hoping all your stress just disappears. Remember exercise is a great stress reducer!

Nixmom-I have a sensewear which I love to wear. It's motivating to wear and I am always checking to make sure I am hitting my cal, step targets for the day. It's kind of hard to wear now because of short sleeves. At work everyone always once to know what it is. I am looking forward to summer off ( I work at an elementary school) so I can wear it consistently again. I am not thrilled about the subscription website. Since I write down all my food in a food journal I don't really need all the reports it generates. I bought a six month subscription for the website but once that runs out I will not renew it.

Have a relaxing Sunday!

Carrie and Institiches = thanks!! I'm pretty excited to start teaching there. I'm currently working for a company that brings yoga classes into the workplace so my most consistent company is now on their second 8 week session. I learned this past weekend that I'll pick up a law firm in late August - they want lunch time classes, so I'm psyched for that.

Carrie, what's the difference between a massage therapist and a masseuse? i'd love to have regular massages...so would my feet!

Silly, you look great!!!

Bejeweled & Selena, hope you both have a speedy recovery.

me4life, i hear ya on tough weekends - i have/had a number of social weekends and it's apparent on the scale.

mary, i have a Go Wear Fit and i haven't been wearing it as much now that i'm mostly wearing sleeveless and short sleeves. i hate all the questions.

well, we leave for a 10 day trip - and i think i will strap on the GWF to try to keep up with burning calories and getting my steps in (at a minimum). i'm looking forward to the trip!

no workout today. went to zumba class yesterday.

I love my Bodybugg, however, my daughter has a Go Wear Fit and it's the exact same thing but I like the software better and it's just a hair cheaper so I highly recommend getting one. It definitely keeps me on track better. I hate it when I don't meet my deficit so I work harder if I see I need more exercise for the day.

Hi Losers!
Back from the Special Olympics, daughter got a sixth, a bronze and a silver in track. Lots of fun, plus hubby and I kicked around a bunch of thrift shops and bought a bunch of useless stuff that will probably be in our goodwill bags in a few years, but hey, we had fun.
Eating is casually OP with no major blow-its. I'm just happy to be getting eating under control again after several months of bingeing.:dizzy:
Thanks In Stiches for your encouragement. You are so sweet to do so many personals.
Gotta get ready for a work day tomorrow. Drink your water and keep on keepin' on bombshells!

Hi everyone!

Well, I didn't lose another lb this morning... I WAS really good yesterday.. but I finally plugged in my calories from the Saturday... yikes! Like 2600! I'm lucky I haven't gained.

So I'm down just 1.1 lbs this week... 1.1 lbs total. I'd love to lose 1.5 kg this week.. that would put me below 150. I'm really going to work hard to reach this goal this week. I have a real penchant for dessert, particularly ice cream.. probably a reason I lose so slowly. So I'm going to try to go a week without it.

So everyone: What's your plan for weight loss this week?

Angeline..
Its kind of the tomato /tomaato thing LOL
Most states require licenses for practising Massage Therapy and schooling and testing and continuing education classes.
Most Massage Therapists I know like the term Massage Therapist because Massuese can sometimes mean Happy endings and Licensed people don't do the Happy endings LOL

I did not have the best weekend but not the worst....

I hope everyone has a beautiful night

Dora - Congrats to your daughter on her track achievements! :carrot: Congrats to you on getting back OP and moving fowards. It's great to have you back :)

We just got home from the grocery store, and I have a plan for breakfast and dinner every day for the next week and my lunches for work are planned out, too! We've got plans to hit the gym Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights, and I'm hoping we'll get out at least one other night to shoot hoops or go for a walk or something.

Well, I must say I was sweating up a storm! And I was breathing really heavy, but I kept going, no problem, unlike the treadmill or walking, which I like to quit when my left foot and calves start killing me. I think it's less impact and more sweat. :)

Too bad the option won't be around to do it again.

I got home last night. It was 550 miles each way in 2 days, so all of that driving and no activity was not good for me. I hope to make up for it this week.

Stay Cool Blue this week!

Clean eating and as many wogs as the weather will allow. It is cold and rainy now. :(

I totally slept in. We went to bed at 11pm. I woke up at 7:30 to pee and take my pills. I crawled back into bed to get warm for a few minutes and next thing I knew it was 9am! I stumbled out to the living room to find out both kids were still sleeping. It is going to be a long bedtime tonight.

Hope everyone is doing well and hopefully will have a good number for next week! I plan to do Yoga Booty and Gazelle today as well as my lunch walk. Hit my deficit+ yesterday!

You looked beautiful!!! I want to go to prom again! I love getting all dressed up and my hair done...those where the days when I didn't have a family and much responsibility.

Well this past Friday I started my first day of C25K and I made it through. There were a couple of times I was tired but I just kept telling myself I can do it and it's only 60sec at a time. I haven't had a chance to do it since, but I am planning today after I get home from work. I haven't ate the best this weekend and it showed on the scales this morning. I'm sorry to report a 2lb gain  I will work my butt off this week and try to lose it and more. Have a great day!
