Good morning ladies,

Can't believe we're in a new month already. Sorry I haven't been much on the personals, life's been just really busy lately - not much computer time. This HomeOwners thing sure is taking alot of my precious time. Have 2 meetings alone this week. 2 last week and one next week. BAH.

DH is doing ok. No word on the job front but he is happy and very, very busy at home. I am jealous because he is easily losing weight too.

Gotta run - have a good one.

Happy Monday - Happy June!

We ended up not going fishing. DMIL said it was too chilly for her....so we went for a drive in the beautiful Wisconsin countryside, saw horses and cows (of course) and also woodchucks, deer and wild turkeys (not the bottled kind - though that kind would've been fun as well!).

I'm afraid I'm not doing as good as Annie or Mel on the exercise challenge, and certainly not as good Jolly. I got to the gym on Thursday, and did some walking around this weekend. I'm hoping to get to the gym tonight, but the puppies wanted to go out a lot during the night, so I'm a bit sleep deprived. I am good about doing my PT stretches and strengthening exercises, but I know that won't burn calories as fast as cardio does.

I'm thinking positively that my back will get better in the next few days! I've got plans the next two weekends that involve A LOT of walking. Next weekend DH and I are going to the drag races in Illinois on Friday, and the following weekend DH, DMIL and I are going to the zoo in Chicago - we're deciding whether to go to the Lincoln Park Zoo or the Brookfield Zoo...Brookfield is much bigger and more animals.

Okay....now I'm catching up on all your posts from Friday and the weekend...so I apologize if I'm commenting on "old news".

Happy - Hope you and DH were able to figure out the pension stuff. I totally agree with what you said on Friday about naps at work. When I had pneumonia and had barely enough energy to keep my eyes open, I said (jokingly) to my boss that I'd like to go into a conference room so I could take a nap on my lunch hour (as it was too cold to go out to my car to nap). He said (jokingly) that I didn't need to do that...he saw me frequently take naps at my desk! That guy was such a comedian! So nice that you take such good care of the birds and other critters in your yard.

Mel - I hope you're feeling better than yesterday. Good idea to cancel your work with the election. Your health is more important. I got a big smile when I read your post that I'll be giving you and Annie a run for your money any day now in the exercise challenge. I sure hope so. You two are doing so great though! Congrats on all the pedaling and the stretching!

Shad - I'm glad to hear the new job is going along okay, despite computer worms, blown up USBs and poor contract wording. Too funny about the 81 year old man whose only Internet interest is porn! Guess that's what keeps him young at heart! So nice that you were able to meet up with a friend from the Jakarta days! As for June, like Mel, I will be jiggling and joyfully pedaling...but not so sure about the jumping.

Patty - Glad you had such a nice weekend! Congrats on being a Godmother. And congrats on the weight loss! :woohoo:

Jolly - Such a nice day you had to take the "kids" to the dog park! You are a good mom. Glad you had fun furniture shopping with your sister.

Annie - I hope you had a great weekend! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Love and hugs,

Happy Monday and Happy June...

Didn't get to go on my Harley ride yesterday, poor Tony is so sick. It is the polyps in his sinuses. He had surgery about 11 years ago, but is needing it again. He is calling the ENT this morning to make an appointment to see about getting it done. When the polyps flare up it cause him to get strep throat and upper respitory infection. He sounded awful and coughs just about every breath. Bless his heart.

A good friend called me on the way to work this morning just crying and crying. She had to put her 14 yr old doggie, Rudy, down yesterday. I just didn't really know what to say other than time heals. It has made me kind of sad today.

MEL...love the doc is in cartoon, however it could be for real in your case.. Great job on the exercising. Take it easy, we don't want you getting all the way down with that throat.

Shad...glad the job is going halfway well. Sounds better than the last. Thanks for the June thread, what would we do without you. The 81 yr old man you taught computer class to, at that age, h*ll let him look at porn what harm could it do? lol

Patty...this year I have planted 3 types of tomatos, 3 types of peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, spinach (ready for harvest), zuchinni, then flowers petunias and cannas and one tree. Congrats on the 1 lb down. That is great and better than gaining.

Happy...sounds like the birds keep you entertained. How sweet is that.

Jolly...Those closings on houses can go any which way. You just never know what is going to happen.

Ceejay...enjoy the sunshine.

Ms. Chelle....Water aerobics are the best. I have done them in the past. It is so refreshing (water) and feels great while doing it. It is so easy on all the joints, muscles, well body really. You should try it.

Hello to everyone I may have missed.

Have a fabulous day All...

Much Love and Many Hugs...

Oh and I forgot...I got weighed and measured at Curves on Saturday. Since joining at the end of March, so about 9 weeks, I have lost 1.5 lbs and a total of 14 inches. It will get harder and slow down from this point forward however the cool thing is if I flex my arm I definitely have a slight muscle showing instead of just flab and fat. Now I do have the flab and fat around but it is just a toner flab and fat. hahahahhaha

Annie - Congrats on the weight and inches LOST! And the toning!! You rock, sista! :woohoo: Sounds like Curves is doing the trick, and you are SO dedicated! :bravo: Sorry to hear that Tony is so sick. I hope the ENT can fix him up soon. Sorry to hear about your friend having to put her dog down. It's so sad to lose a beloved furry family member. When I get home today, I'll try and squeeze myself into my bathing suit - I don't think I've been in a pool or worn my suit since Jolly and I used to go to the gym together all those years ago. If I can get into the suit, I'll try the water aerobics class. I'm a bit concerned because it doesn't say it's a beginner class...Oh well, I'll do what I can. :)

Annie - for your friend

The Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Rudy will be patiently waiting for your friend one day.

Well, I went for a 10 minute walk at lunch. I know it's not much. I started having pain after about 5 minutes, but then had to turn around and walk back. After sitting at my desk for 5 minutes, I was good as new, so no harm done. If I just do that every day (or maybe twice a day), I'll eventually be able to increase my time/distance per outing. But don't worry (and Mel, no rolling pin please), I won't do anything to further injure myself, but it is pretty bad when my 78 year old DMIL can out-walk me. But I keep telling myself I will get better and slow and steady wins the race. :) I'm hoping to do water aerobics tonight....if not, then I'll go to the gym and work out. Either way....I won't overdo....I promise.

Ceejay - Did you hear about the two soldiers shot in the recruiting office in Little Rock (one was killed and the other wounded)? One of them is my co-worker's nephew - he's still not sure if his nephew was the one killed or wounded, but he believes he was probably the one killed. Such an awful, senseless tragedy! I feel so badly for my co-worker and his family.

Happy....thank you for the rainbow bridge. I emailed to my house to forward to my friend. I don't have her home email here at work. She will appreciate it.

Ms Chelle....I hope you get to do the water aerobics, they are so much fun. Just do what you can do.

MEL...the recipe sound quite yummy, what day are you making those, I will be over.

Tomorrow my dear worldlies.

Shad
thanks for getting us started for June.

Annie
Good loss with the inches and pounds. Maybe next week end you can go for a ride on the Harley. Hope Tony feels better soon.

Mel
The recipe looks delicious.

Michelle
What a tragedy! I must be slipping I didn't hear that on the news. But then again I may have been busy doing other things.

Happy
We understand about the time. I haven't been able to post as much as I'd like too.

Wow. It is hard keeping up with all of you. Thanks for sharing Rainbow Bridge. I have read it before too, but it is so nice to share. Michelle - take it slow and steady. Mel, that recipe looks incredible!

WEll, no more waiting on one thing. I got my grades yesterday. I passed. Didn't do as well as I would have liked, but about what I expected. The main thing is that I passed, and don't have to repeat. Yeah :cheer:

Also, little sis got her keys last night, so I hear you Michelle on the sleep deprivation. Was over there late changing locks. Should have been a 5 minute job, but forgot about old houses with old doors  What should have taken one person 5 minutes, ended up needing the whole family and the whole evening. Ah well.

Have a great day all

Hello my wonderful worldly friends!

My co-worker found out that it was, in fact, his 23-year old nephew who was shot and killed at the recruiting office in Little Rock, AR. He and another soldier (who was wounded) were just out of Basic Training and not even deployed yet. They weren't recruiting officers...they were just asked to help out with recruiting efforts. It's so awful. So senseless! I feel so sad for my co-worker and his family.

I couldn't find my bathing suit yesterday and didn't want to rush to the store to get a new one so I went to the gym last night and did 1/2 hour on the recumbent stepper. I still can't figure out why my back and hip lets me do 1/2 hour on the recumbent stepper with no pain, but I can't walk for 10 minutes. Oh well, at least I'm moving...and enjoying it!

Annie - I hope Tony is feeling better. Will he be able to get in to see the ENT soon?

Jolly - Congrats on passing the classes! :woohoo: So nice of you and the family helping your little sister change the locks!

A big  and  to Shad, Mel, Happy, Ceejay, Patty, Ruth, Painter, Madcat and everyone!

Love and hugs,

Good Morning....ahhhhhh, relaxing day at work....all of management is out. Not really, this means I have to buckle down and get things done that I cannot normally get done when management is here. Well maybe....right now it is Java time. Thanks for the well wishes for Tony, however he cannot get into the doc until today so he is not much better yet. Baby boy came home last night, we went to my mom and dad's for a visit. My mom said, well you haven't been over here in a long time Annie. What do you call all day a week ago? I am telling you she is losing it.

MEL...What a way to spend a day off, with dry eye. Dang it anyways. Hope the eye gets better and you can enjoy the remainder of the day.

Ms Chelle...I am with you on the exercise...who cares what it is we do as long as we are moving...glad you made it to the gym. Sorry to hear of your co-workers nephew. So very sad and so young.

Jolly...A BIG CONGRATS on passing the class....WTG. Glad your sis got her keys, then change the locks. Sounds kind of redundant. lol

Ceejay...Hidee Ho...let's get something happening at your end. Something fun too!

Shad...hope the job is going well and you are not crashing the system today.

Hey to everyone and have a super marvelous day.

Much love and many hugs,

Shad

Morning all,
My body, hair and brain have decided they do not like Sydney and I am having motivation trouble here. All I want to do is sleep and sneeze. And I'm not doing either of those very well. I think I needed some more down days between assignments.

Mel - I like the sound of that recipe and may try it out over the weekend. Experiment on the family. I can't wait to go home. I may need to book the psychiatrists time over the weekend - if you are not doing anything.

I can't get my e-mail in here for some reason. It's probably the firewall thanks to my worm of last week, so I need to get to the internet cafe to check that out. May do that tonight. If any of you have sent me an e-mail, thats why there has been no reply!!!!

Jolly - congrats on the grades. In today's mediocre world it doesn't seem to matter how good they are as long as you passed. I know I was horrified when I did a diploma course in training and was only judged as J (Passed) or M (failed) J for joy, m for misery!!! The online tutor said he wished he could give me better scores but that was the way life went on campus these days. Bah humbug.

Michelle - my condolences to the co-worker. What a world this is turning into.
Hope that back comes right very soon. You must have had enough of it by now. I've been down in the gym at the apartment block. I might even try out the pool tonight. It's heated, it'd need to be.

That's all the time I have right now. Apologies to those not mentioned. Gotta go.

jollygirl

Hey all. Thanks for the congrats. Just glad I don't have to repeat anything. But need to be better prepared for other professors who have a teaching style that doesn't work with my learning style, so I can teach myself.

Michelle, so sorry to hear about your coworker. Makes you wonder what this world is coming to.

Annie, yeah, it does seem redundant, doesn't it? We offered to take care of the problem and replace the locks when she couldn't GET the keys, but she decided to do things legal like

Ah well, time to get ready for work. No weights this morning. I managed to trip last night on my run, and my knee is bugging me again. I think I need to look into one of those knee strap thingies.

Have a great day all

Good morning/evening ladies -

I had a great PT session yesterday, and got some new stretches to do at home. My PT told me to avoid any additional "unnecessary" walking (so no more trying to walk...even for 5 or 10 minutes...at lunch time). But she's encouraging me to continue to use the recumbent stepper (NuStep) as long as it doesn't cause me pain. So I went to the gym last night and did 1/2 hour on the NuStep and then came home, ate dinner and did my PT exercises/stretches. I have signed on to Red's 21 day challenge to track the following for the next 3 weeks: Eat at least 3 servings of veggies daily, drink at least 60 ounces of water daily, and do my PT exercises daily. I'm continuing my 90 minutes of exercise/week with Annie and Mel.

Today after work is acupuncture...and I'm supposed to take it easy afterward...so no gym tonight. Tomorrow night, I'm getting together for Happy Hour with former co-workers. And Friday, it's off to the races...drag races that is. DH and I are going to the drag races in IL, which is always a lot of fun...but a lot of walking around too (I'll make sure to take frequent rest breaks). So far, the weekend weather forecast is pretty rainy, but in my few years of living here in Wisconsin...I've learned never to trust weather forecasts more than a day in advance.

Mel - I hope your eye is doing better today.

Annie - I hope you are feeling better, and I hope Tony feels better soon too. So nice that your DS is back home. Like your mom, my DMIL's memory ain't what it used to be either.

Shad - Sorry to hear you're having a rough time adapting to the Sydney climate. Hopefully you'll get to rest this weekend at home. Are you going to be going home every weekend? Yes, I have had enough of the back pain...but I know it will get better very soon. I just keep doing what I'm told (which is hard since I can be a bit rebellious at times) and listening to my body and thinking positively about how wonderful it will be to go on long walks and hikes again! :)

Jolly - Sorry to hear about your knee. Remember - R.I.C.E. (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation).

Happy - I know you're super busy....I hope you're taking time out to enjoy your kitties (indoors and outdoors) and your birdies in the yard.

Ceejay - Same goes for you...I hope you're taking some time out for you.

Love and big hugs,

annie175

Hump day....and miserable.....

Had God awful pains in the tummy on the way to work. Low and behold, I crapped my pants walking in. That took about 20 minutes to take care of, now waiting on the mall to open to go find some cheap panties. Not to mention I am still having after affects from the surgery and have to wear a mattress pad. Throat is killing me, thank you very much Mr. Tony. I am sure I got it from him. He was diagnosed with sinus and eye infection and bronchitis. He is a mess. Three types of drugs. Whine Whine Whine, I want my mommie. Boo hoo hoo, I feel like poo, literally.

Jolly...Go easy on the knee, you have to use it for a long time to come. Running is just not healthly for any of us. lol.

SHAD...better call ahead for that psychiatrist appt with MEL, I am sure she is pretty booked up. Let me check her appt book, one moment, ah yes, she said to put you through immediately. Feel better.

Hello to everyone reading, even you lurkers.

Love and Hugs,

Hi ladies,

Annie - sorry about your lousy start to the day. Maybe you should keep a small "emergency kit" at work. We used to do that - being in the I.T. field you never knew when you had to pull and all nighter. Just a few things to freshen up if you need it. Hope your day gets better.

Michelle - was wondering if the recumbant stepper (like the bike) used different muscles so it didn't stress the hips as much as walking? The drag races sound like lots of fun. Hope you have a great time!

Jolly - congrats on passing the classes - take care of that knee.

Mel - are your eyes doing better today? I'm starting to get dry eye too - it's really annoying, I feel for you. Let's just take a warm cloth, soak our eyes and relax! That chicken recipe looks DELICIOUS - I'm going to make that - if I ever get to stay home one night...

Shad - take care of yourself - you do seem to be on the run alot. All the stress is no good for you.

Ceejay - did you get your new furniture?

 Patty.

That's it for me. Off to work. Did I mention I'd love to have a month off?

MEL...if you hadn't of checked the bldg, it would have been left open all night. I usually have a spare pair of undies with me, but didn't replace them after the last emergency.

Happy...carrying spare undies makes me feel old somehow...lol

06-03-2009, 02:11 PM
Annie - Sorry to hear you had such a yucky start to the day! I hope you were able to get some undies. And I hope you feel better very soon, same goes for Tony. The acupuncture is going okay. I'm noticing a bit of sloooooow improvement...not sure if it's the acupuncture or the PT. My doc (and the acupuncturist) said that I might not see relief until after 5 or 6 visits. I hope to one day soon be able to go for walks/hikes. For now, I'm following doctor's and PT's orders.

Mel - I'm glad you're resting today. Enjoy Trader Joe's tomorrow!

Happy - The recumbent stepper works the hip flexors and might've caused the bout of bursitis I had...from trying to push myself too hard. But at least the seat of the stepper supports the back. And it's not weight bearing exercise, so maybe that helps too.

Patty - Hope you're doing well.

Hugs to all,

annie175

Morning all,
It's foggy, grey and cold here in Sydney. I'm really longing for home tomorrow. Can't come quick enough.

Annie - sorry to hear that you are feeling sick and that the body is not functioning to specification today! Get better soon. Same to Tony.

Mel - glad to hear that you are feeling better about things. Hopefully the swollen glad will return to normal soon. Glad to hear that someone did something right for a change and the building was locked up properly.

Michelle - Hope the acupuncture went okay and you get some relief from it. My friend Chris who used to live in Japan had that several times for different ailments. She thought it was great (but expensive). Keep going on the stretches and whatever exercise you can do without pain. It can only help.

Ceejay - glad you didn't get to step on the bird. Hope mama bird starts taking better care of the chicks now. You'll be looking forward to the furniture coming. Did you decide on appliances.

Happy - you and me both - a month off. I'd like to retire but can't see it happening yet. Even working only part of the year would be great, but not great for the superannuation or the bank balance.

I've been on the verge of feeling like I am getting the flu for weeks now, but it just doesn't go any further or get any better. I hate taking vitamin pills, but may just have to if I don't get into sunlight shortly. The hammock came back from the shed last time I was home, but unfortunately the frame is history. I'll have to try to see if I can get another one soon.

Hi to everyone else. I've just been in a meeting whereby I was supposed to learn alot. Well I did learn some, but they went so fast, I missed some of it. Seems I don't actually have a huge course to do at all. Well that makes a change, but I have a feeling that todays status quo will be tomorrows decision change.

Better go and write things down while they are fresh in the mind.

Good morning all.

Michelle - is that what R.I.C.E. stands for? I always thought it was Rum on Ice, Chocolate, and Ease up!

Annie, hope you are feeling better. As far as yesterday's start to the day, just remember what they say "@#$% happens!"

Everyone else, have fun, feel better. Enjoy the sun.

I need to refind my motivation still, that is for sure. Crazy days. Late nights. Tired. Not wanting to work out. This is not the way to success. I missed last night's run, and now am skipping this mornings. I bought a knee strap to try, but don't really want to try it. I am bad.

Have a good day all

Good morning ladies -

I had a good acupuncture treatment yesterday, and I'm beginning to feel a little better and hoping it continues and improves. I've got PT this afternoon. My hamstrings and glutes are still REALLY tight, and I know that can tweak the back muscles...so I'll be trying to stretch at my desk from time to time during the day. Tonight, after work, I'm getting together with former co-workers for a Happy Hour, which should be fun. And tomorrow is the drag races. Yay! It looks like it's gonna be a rainy weekend, but I'm still holding out hope that the forecast is wrong. But if it does rain, I may be able to get to the gym on Saturday and/or Sunday, which would be a good thing.

Ceejay - Glad you didn't step on the baby bird. I hope it got back to the nest okay. Have a fun trip to Jonesboro tomorrow and a good time at the uncle's get together on Saturday. Are you still at odds with your aunt?

Shad - I can only imagine how homesick you must be since you had no time off between assignments and with the foggy dreary Sydney weather. The combination of acupuncture and PT seems to be helping, slower than I'd like, but it is helping. Here in Wisconsin for a 1 hour acupuncture visit, the price ranges from $45 to $100, depending on the practitioner. As for vitamins...there's been a lot of talk in the news about Vitamin D and how it can help the immune system, and how most people (especially those of us in the Northern US and Canada) are deficient in Vitamin D. I've been taking it daily since February and it seems to be helping me avoid sickess (knock on wood). Ahhhh, a hammock sounds so nice. I've been debating between getting a hammock and a porch glider, I think I may just treat myself to one of those for the summer. :)

Jolly - I like your version of R.I.C.E. better than mine! Here's your :buttkick: I can understand with your busy schedule and your knee pain why you don't want to exercise, but just do it anyway. You'll feel better for it.

Annie - I hope you're feeling better and that today isn't "crappy" like yesterday. Sorry for the bad pun, but I couldn't resist! ;)

Mel - I hope you're enjoying a nice trip to TJ's.

Happy, Patty and everyone - Have a Terrific Thursday!

Lots of love and hugs to all,

Mornin'

No personals today...I feel really like crap, altho I did not do that in my pants this morning. Thanks for all the sh*tty puns, that made me laugh. All of this has settled in my lungs and I feel like poo. Not the poo in my lungs, the cold part.

Anyway, have a bright sunshiney day!

Howdy chicks,

Thanks for the laugh of the day on the R.I.C.E. definition Jolly  I'm not motivated either, just keep plodding through telling yourself - get one or two things done so you don't completely backslide.

Annie - I think feeling sick in the warm weather is way worse than in the winter. I recommend some warm apple cider with a cinnamon stick and a shot of Southern Comfort. Tho I hate the taste of whiskey, the apple and cinnamon cover it up. 2 cups and you'll have a nice warm glow about you :D 3 cups and you won't care that your sick. 4 cups and you'll sleep until the cold is over and done with. :coffee:

Shad - every picture I've ever seen of Sydney is bright, sunny and brilliant blue skies. Grey weather in the big crowded city is not your style at all. I think you were happier in the mines of Toowumba or where ever that was. Are you going home for the weekend? We have to form a commune and pool our resources together, maybe then we can semi retire.

Ceejay - oops on the baby bird. Did it fall out of it's nest? When DH was trying to help the last baby straggler keep up with the rest of the others, the baby was squeeking and the parents came and were dive bombing DH.

Michelle - geez you really did yourself in this time. Seems like things are tighter than a drum in you. I know the hip bursitis was really frustrating for me. I think it's a double whammy for you with the hip and the back. Just keep plugging away. I think you need a bout in the hot tub with a nice cool umbrella drink to relax you :hat:

Speaking of umbrella drinks, Mel wants to know where hers is. Coming up Missy. Do you want a cherry and orange slice with that? I think Mel can run our commune - she has enough prior experience. Just remember to bring Willy and the bus.

Ok, I've used more time than I should have here. On with the day. See yah chicks.

Annie - That sucks that your cold has settled in your lungs. I HATE it when that happens. I hope you feel better very, very soon. I do like Happy's advice about the "get-well" drink.

Happy - I like your advice about the hot tub and umbrella drink. Though I don't think the Y serves umbrella drinks poolside...so I may have to enjoy them separately. I'm getting better slowly but surely. But I will get back to being good as new. I just have to be good and listen to my body (oh yeah, and the docs and PT).

Mel - Sorry you didn't make it to TJ's. Enjoy a nice and relaxing day with the grandson!

Hope Tony didn't give you his germs. Feel better soon. (((hugs))))

Could you count those PT sessions as exercise minutes? Seem like you are getting some good work out's. Have you tried Yoga for stretching?

Happy
Did you get this slow moving rain?

Jolly
I think you and I are in the same boat. We need to kick our attitude to the curb.

Mel
Good for you in taking care of yourself. I'm beginning to know my limitations.

My furinture arrived this afternoon. I'm enjoying my new desk. My pillow top matress and box spring are so high I may need a step ladder to get on them, but once there they are very comfortable. I'm really going to enjoy having some extra space to put things away in drawers.

I woke up this morning with a lot of sinus drainage in my throat. This afternoon my throat feels like it's getting sore. I'll take another Benedryl tonight and see if that helps.

I may forego my trip to Jonesboro tomorrow and do some major house cleaning.

Hi Ceejay - For right now, the PT sessions are mostly very deep tissue massage, ultrasound and electrical stimulation to loosen the tight muscles and relieve the pain. But I count the PT exercise that I do at home as stretching/strengthing minutes. I have tried Yoga for stretching, but my PT has requested that for now anyway I stick to the stretches that she gave me. Glad you're new furniture arrived and that you're enjoying it! What a wonderful gift to yourself!

Morning all,
Yeaaaaaaa it's Friday and time to go home for a few days. I will mess around here at work for a few hours and then catch the train to the airport. The service here from almost outside the office building to the domestic airport takes around 20 minutes and is somewhat expensive, but better than a cab. Believe it or not (every city in Aus has some strange and weird way of doing things) if I want to get a return ticket from the airport at the same time I will save $7.00. Pretty good hey, unfortunately the ticket states that you have to return on the same day! :yikes: :faint: WTF.

Today also dawned foggy and cool, but has cleared and warmed up somewhat. We may even get some blue sky today - wonders will never cease. Brisbane was apparently fogbound this morning too, but fog there always clears to a beautiful and sunny day.

Michelle - Glad to hear the PT and accupuncture is moving along and you are feeling better. You will be back to your old self soon now. Have fun at the drag racing.

Annie - get better soon. It's too bad of Tony to so generously share his bugs.

Ceejay - so glad the furniture arrived and you are enjoying it. You could count it as exercise if you took a running jump up onto the bed.

Happy - love the medical advice for the flu. My dad always used to say that you should take whisky and lemon in hot water (1 part lemon juice, one part water to how ever many parts of whisky you fit in the glass) for a cold or flu. Doesn't make the symptons go away but at least you feel happier about them.
How's the pensioner going?? Lucky man.
By the way, how was the Aussie yoghurt and what was it?

Mel - I am not getting the flu or anything. I do have bad sinus' but then I've always had those. Victoria is in the middle of a swine flu epidemic, but the rest of the States of Australia aren't doing too bad. There are flu shots for those who want them, and being an independent contractor, I suppose I should take every opportunity to avoid the plague. However I always go down with a dose of flu every time I have one. If I don't participate, I don't normally get anything all winter. Sometimes a layer of fat is very protective  :lol3:
Is the doctor in on Saturday afternoon around 3 - 4.00pm?

Jolly - take no notice of Mel, I am not the one to motivate right now. It's taking all my effort to get myself to the gym downstairs and to do the crunches in my challenge on Red's thread. I fully understand the not wanting to go out and put in the miles. You should hear the argument going on in my head all the time.

Okay - better go do some work - the day might just go a bit faster. See you in Brissie.

SHAD~ I BELIEVE THE FLU SHOT BEING OFFERED IS FOR THE HUMAN FLU AND NOT THE SWINE FLU. THEY ARE STILL WORKING ON A SWINE FLU SHOT. SO THINK ABOUT IT. YES THE DR WILL BE IN AND HAVE THE PHONE PLUGGED IN TOO  HANG IN THERE.

MICHELLE...NO HOT TUB FOR YOU JUST YET MISSY! :lol3: :lol3:

Good morning chicks,

I second the :yay: Friday! Just have to get through the workday first.

Enjoy your weekend at home Shad. Hope you have warmth and sun to recharge your batteries. Your ticket sounds like the one day bus pass we have in parts here in the States. Good for travelling around the city touring if you like but impractical for a round trip for the airport. The pensioner is doing fine thanks for asking. Very busy he is. He planted alot of flowers, the yard is looking very good. Not sure he will have any corporate related work soon but it's ok - much to do around the homestead. I forgot to mark down the brand of yogurt - it was good - thinner than the greek stuff. Will try and pick up another one this weekend.

Michelle - I can see the differences between yoga and PT exercises even tho both get you in some contorted positions! I wonder how they come up with these things in the first place :chin:

Ceejay - yes we got the rain - soaking in parts, downpours other times, plants are loving it. We have a high bed also. I got a small Rubbermaid brand stool to help guests "make the leap" Glad you're enjoying the new stuff.

Mel - hope your headache went away and you are ready to kick keester for the weekend - or just sit and wave to your subjects out the window :queen:  Be careful. I noticed last night it's a full moon so the crazies will be out in force.

Hope you woke up feeling better Annie.

That's about it for me, I have to get to an early morning meeting. to all the chicks.

Yeah Friday. still feel like crap. Have to drive to St. Louis tonight for a bridal shower tomorrow. Since DD and I are in the wedding and the bridesmades (DD) are hosting the shower we feel we HAVE to go.

I did go to the doc yesterday. Sinus infection and bronchitis (thank you Tony), she gave me a script for Augmentin.

Happy....would love the feel better beverage, could you make it for me and bring it, I just don't feel up to anything.

Shad....enjoy your time at home. Do you really know where home is these days? When are you going to get to see the new babe?

MEL...Take it easy on that eye, chickie. Rest.

Ms. Chelle....does the acupuncture hurt when they stick it in ya?

Ceejay...waddup girl?

Jolly...have a great day.

Hello to all I may have missed.

Going to St. Louie so may not post back til Monday. Have a great weekend.

I am going to like the furniture. Mine was so old that it was getting to be a hazzard, except fot the living room furniture. I dreaded buying the sectional sofa. It just didn't fit any where. The bed slept very good.

Yesterday I did some looking at one of the local home improvment stores. and walked back to the wood area. I shouldn't have done this. I had an allergy attack from the saw dust last night that went full blown by this morning. I ended up in the doctor's office. He said that my throat was swollen and red. They were cutting some wood. He gave me an injection with two rx's, amoxil and allegra d. He said if the allegra d didn't help that he would raise the dosage.
The scale also showed me weighing in at 198 pounds. My heart sank. I suppose that while eating healthy I maintained but since I haven't been eating healthy I've gained. Some of it may be fluid pounds. I keep forgetting to take the bp med which has a fluid pill in it. ugh. I'm going back to eating as healthy as possible but I'm going to have to cut back on calories. 1400 is my new limit and I will be writing everything down.
Exercise has been 15 minutes on the bike and I'll do another 15 minutes before bed time. I did read an article in a magazine while waitng for the doctor that if you take omega 3 fish oil and exercise 45 minutes per day that you would lose some weight. I take fish oil for heart health(it does wonders for my cholesterol levels) but it's like the bp med I don't take it every day.

Every one have a good week end. I'm suppose to go eat lunch with my uncles tomorrow. It's been a while since I've been to paragould. Don't tell my aunt but I kinda miss her.

Morning all,
Think I told you that I wasn't receiving e-mail through my ISP site. Well I had a few words, most of them were not very polite. I sent an email message stating that I was able to send, but not receive, that I had thought it was the fire wall at work but had tried an iternet cafe and the qantas site and I still couln't get my mail please ring and explain in simple terms preferably with an Aussie accent.
Last night at the Qantas Club I had trouble with their computers - in fact everyone was having troubles with them. So I hauled out the laptop and got a hotspot (Qantas wireless network which I can use on my on laptop because I have a wireless card) and holy moly the e-mail downloaded and downloaded and downloaed and downloaded. I'm wending my way through them. I came across a message from the ISP giving me a solution to my problem! WTF What part of can't download my mail don't they actually get. However they have given me a workaround if it happens some more - and it will as they are doing things to the site! It's a known problem! :faint: :faint: Well hello, did you think to tell anyone that the problem may happen???? IDIOTS. What part of IT COMMUNICATIONS (which is where they work) do they not understand. I may need a few more words - not many of those will be polite either.

Annie - glad to hear you are feeling better, but I hope you don't infect the rest of the wedding party. You might get the popularity contest for that.

Mel - Saturday, your time it is. Talk to you then

Happy - good to know the pensioner is keeping himself busy and occupied in beautifying the world. You should have a great garden this year.

Ceejay - missing the aunt. Wonders never cease.

Okay - I am off to get a haircut. Do a spot of shopping - new underwear is on the cards and then get into the sunshine.

Good morning chicks,

I set the alarm this morning so I wouldn't sleep too late. Was going to have coffee on the patio but Mr. Feral was snoozing on the porch. Phone rang and woke him up so I fed him and he sauntered off. DH and I had coffee and watched the birds.

Now I need to go plant my herbs. It's a gorgeous day out - sunny but not too hot. Great for working outside. And that's just what I intend to do.

Just wanted to wish you all a big howdy, hope you enjoy your weekend.

Happy Sunday ladies -

Had a great day at the drag races on Friday. Lots and lots of fun! Did way too much walking and standing, but sat when I needed a break. We left the house at 7 am Friday morning and got back after midnight. Yesterday, I slept in and just wanted to relax the rest of the day. Today will be a fairly lazy day as well since it's cloudy and cool, though we're going to go run errands later. I'm going to try and get some freelance website work done also. I've got a pot roast cooking in the crock pot for dinner, which will make for an easy, relaxing evening for me. I was planning on hitting the gym yesterday and today, but was too sore from all the walking yesterday. Still did my PT exercises though.

Shad - Little Savannah is a beauty! Thanks for posting the photo! So nice that you got to spend some time with the little one!

Annie - I hope the Augmentin has kicked in and that your sinuses and bronchitis are clearing up. Hope you had a nice trip to St. Louis. As for your question about does the acupuncture hurt? I hardly feel about 99% of the needles, but sometimes he gets one in just the "right" spot where it hurts but then it eases up right away. He puts electrical current through some of the needles and I can feel that but it doesn't really hurt.

Ceejay - I hope you had a nice weekend in Paragould and feel better after your saw dust allergy attack. Omega 3 fish oil and 45 minutes daily exercise those are good suggestions from the article! Thanks for sharing!

Patty - Please send some sunshine my way too. It's so chilly and dreary, my DMIL doesn't want to leave the house! She's demanding warmer weather (but not too hot) and PRONTO!

Happy - Sounds like you had a nice Saturday! Coffee, bird watching and working in the yard! Gotta love spring/summer!

Mel - Glad you got the kitchen cleaned out. Always nice to have stuff within reach. Don't work too hard in the office.

Good Evening My Friends.

This is one tired puppy, been draggin all day. Fast drive to St. Louie on Friday night, got in there 10 pm ish. Came back last night, got in 11:00 pm ish. Just wears me out, must be gett old. Went to a BD BBQ today, was quite nice, played corn hole for a bit and a bit of Euchre' (sp) with mom and dad.

I am feeling better but still hacking somewhat. The shower was really nice. It was at an Italian restaurant. Food was baked ravioli, masticholl(sp), italian meatballs, italian salad all of which was delish. and of course cake. It was a short but nice visit.

Shad... the great niece is such a darling. Back to the grindstone tomorrow. Yike.

MEL...I could go for a bowl of chili, kick back and watch you work. lol

Ms. Chelle...glad you had fun at the drag races. Sounds like exercise enough without hitting the gym.

Jolly..I hate it when this eats my posts.

Happy...enjoy your java.

Ceejay...just keep chugging away at the healthy eating it will pay off later.

Well, guess I'd better get off of here, and try and post some pix. Got a big ole fat zit on my chin I need to zap. How old do you have to be to quit this crap?

Much love and hugs,

Savannah is a little cutie.

Annie
Nice picture of your family.

Mel
Good that you have everything down to your level.

Michelle
Sounds like you had a good time at the races.

What kind of herbs are you planting?

I've had a good visit with the uncles yesterday. One of my aunt's was telling us that my cousin, her daughter, is having a bad time right now. Think she is going through the change of life. She's 47. She is undergoing a lot of medical test to find out the cause.

Ceejay...Glad to hear your visit with Uncles went well. Yeah 47 is the age of changes...probably nothing wrong with cousin, just normal woman stuff.

Happy Monday worldlies -

I had a great relaxing weekend! Ahhhhh. Nice! And it's a gloomy, rainy day today...so I might as well be at work, right? I have a lot to get done, so hopefully the computer systems work quickly and efficiently. I've got PT over the lunch hour and am hoping to get to the gym tonight since I didn't go on the weekend (although I did A LOT of walking on Friday). I am getting serious about my eating and exercising starting NOW. I had my photo taken with several of the race car drivers at the drag races on Friday and I got hit with the shocking reality of how I really look - very scary. But it's okay...it's a starting point, and I'm committed to not letting anything stand in my way.

Annie - Happy Early Birthday! Great photos of your family! Sounds like you have a fun time in St. Louis! So 47 is when everything changes. Yuck. I'm heading that way and fast. And I think I'm already getting hot flashes, especially yesterday, just during the day though...not at night yet.

Ceejay - Glad you had a nice visit with the uncles.

Shad - I hope your work week is starting off well.

A big wave to Mel, Patty, Happy, Ruth, Jolly and everyone!

Much love and hugs,

Hey Ms Annie - Don't feel bad about 49...I'm right behind ya' (turning 47 in September). Age is just a number. Most of the time I forget I'm in my mid to late-40s and feel like I'm in my late 20s to mid-30s. And I'm sure the same holds true for you - as youthful, energetic and full of life as you are.

Hey all. Not much to report here. Trying to get back in gear with the eating and the training.

Must have forgotten to post yesterday!!!

Well today has gone to **** in a handcart and I don't know how much longer I will have a job. I'm refusing to pass what I consider to be sensitive information about myself over the internet to a company I have no knowledge about. No doubt it is okay, but what if..........

So excuse me, while I sort out my arguments for round three!

I'll be back when sanity (mine and theirs) prevails.

Happy Tuesday ladies -

I'm feeling AWESOME! I LOVE endorphins!! I had a really good PT session yesterday, where I layed down on the floor on a thick, cushy exercise mat and the PT actually walked on the back of my leg and on my...well, glutes, to work out some of the deep knots. She held onto a chair, so she didn't put all her weight on me...but wow, it actually felt really good! Talk about a deep tissue massage! She said that my back may continue to give me pain while walking until I lose some weight and some belly fat. So she wants me to stick to a 1500 calorie a day diet, try to eliminate all refined sugar for at least a week, and do 30 minutes of cardio 3 or 4 days a week. Last night, I went to the gym and did 30 minutes on the recumbent stepper followed by 10 minutes of elliptical (just to see if I could do it without pain - which I did). I'll stick with this routine for the next week or so, and then maybe increase the elliptical time.

As for counting calories...I'd rather count WW points, so I'll start doing that tomorrow (going out to dinner and then to a baseball game tonight, and while I'll try to make healthy choices, I may not be able to figure the points values for everything). As for giving up refined sugar for a week....that's a toughie, not sure I'm ready to tackle that just yet - gotta psych myself up for it.

Mel - Hope you have a good food shopping trip! It sure is good they have you around to coordinate/schedule the bathtub project! Sounds like more chaos in Jen and Richie's lives. Glad to hear you are steering clear of the drama.

Jolly - Have a great time at the gym!! Online dating does work. Many friends of mine have met their S.O.'s through online dating. And my DH and I met because he placed a personal ad (before there was online dating - LOL). DH and I have been together nearly 20 years. BTW, don't ANYONE believe Jolly's Chris Farley comment. She's tall, statuesque (sp) and lovely, not to mention she's very intelligent and has a great sense of humor and is fun to be around.

Shad - I sure hope things go better for you. I agree with your concerns. They should have a better and more secure way to collect such information, if in fact, it is even necessary. If you do find some sanity and have any left to spare, could you send it my way please?

A big  to Annie, Happy, Patty, Ceejay and everyone else!

Love and hugs to all,

Good Morning All

...sorta rainy and gray at the moment however supposed to turn in to sunny and 81. Tony and I have a planned bike ride after work today so I am hoping the weather turns out as expected by the newscast...we all know they can be wrong..lol

Went to Curves last night, tanned, came home, fixed a margarita, went out and watered the garden. Harvested some spinach, enough to share with two co-workers. It is a mix spinach and really tasty.

Today is D-day at my prior place of employment, American Funds under the Capital Group umbrella (mutual funds), there is supposed to be a massive lay off. All my buds there tell me how blessed I am to be 8 months ahead of them. I AGREE. I prayed for strength for them today.

Jolly....good news about the on-ling dating...THAT IS WHERE I MET MY TONY.....yahoo personals. We had both just signed up, had been on there a week, met, and then deleted our profiles. It does work, just be picky. Email back and forth a bit, then talk on the phone for a bit. then when you meet them in person, drive your own car to a very public place like Starbucks or busy restaurant. AND BE SURE TO TELL SOMEONE, A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER, WHO YOU ARE MEETING AND WHERE YOU ARE MEETING THEM, CARRY YOUR CELL PHONE WITH YOU, DO NOT LEAVE IT IN YOUR CAR. Sorry to sound like your momma, however for now, I AM. LOL. Seriously, be careful.

Ms. Chelle...I do feel young, however my body tells me different sometimes. Like driving to St. Louie Friday night, back on Saturday night, I was completely listless on Sunday. Just wanted to lay around and couldn't due to the BBQ. Your PT sounds wonderful, I really don't need it, but would love for someone to walk on my legs, back and heiny. You sure have come a long way from a few months ago when all this started. Good for you for starting WW. It is such an excellent program. Day 1 tomorrow....Cheers!! Go gettem girl!! You can do this!!

MEL, MEL, MEL...what the H*LL, would that place do without your magnificent organizational skills? If you pronounce skills like skells with an 'e', that line could be a cheer. lol I am full of sh*t today. Well not really, was a few minutes late getting to work due to bathroom explosion, luckily no one was hurt, Bella just snorted, must of been the bomb oder. ba haha Oh kewl, new tubs, them them Jen would like a massaging garden tub installed. They are wonderful, if you can ever find time to tub it. Mostly showers for me.

Shad....sanity...I didn't know there was anyone out there with any left. I feel the same about putting my personal info out there in cyberspace. You just never know what might happen. Altho I did have to submit my info on-line to Humana before I started on here. The difference was, I know this company. Try to have a great day, smack someone if necessary.

Hello to Happy, Ceejay, Patty, Ruth, Holly, and anyone else I may have missed.

Much love and loads of hugs,

diyana

Jolly - I totally agree with Annie about her cautions about meeting someone online (or through personal ads of any sort). DEFINITELY, take your own car, meet in a very public place, tell someone the details, do not go anywhere in his car, always have your phone. Now I sound like a momma. Seriously, I met this guy in a public place, had a nice dinner and then stupidly agreed to going for a drive with him...luckily nothing happened, but I realized while we were driving how in danger I could be. I kept insisting he drive me back to the restaurant, which he eventually did. But when I met my DH, we had SEVERAL phone conversations and four or five dates where we took separate cars before I even let him know where I lived. You can meet Mr. Right online, but you have to be very picky and very careful.

Annie - You need to not be so hard on yourself. Of course you felt listless and low energy on Sunday, you were sick and you went on a very busy/very short weekend trip. Heck, I'm not sick and I still felt exhausted Saturday and part of Sunday after a long day at the races on Friday. Our bodies don't bounce back as they used to...But I wouldn't go back to my 20s for anything (unless I could know what I know now, and have the body I had then). I got a great laugh out of "try to have a great day, smack someone if necessary"! :lol3: You crack me up, Annie!

Hi all,

Talk about meeting. The night I met DH we were at a dance club. He was over 21 and had a few drinks in him. He wanted to take me home (so he'd know where I lived for our date the next night). I wouldn't let him take me home because I thought maybe he was a horny drunk and I'd rather take him on sober  Now you can't get in a car with someone because you have to worry about them abducting you. How times have changed. Scary Mary. :yikes:

I agree with the group not to rule out all possibilities Jolly. Just remember the old "gotta kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince" which I think we all can attest to.

Annie - nice family pic. Mom's got a hint of a Mona Lisa smile there - very subtle. Do you know they are recommending you don't smile on your driver's license photo because it makes it harder to counterfit if you've got a serious face? Don't fret about the age - we're rounding the bend now where we can't waste time fretting over stuff - instead we have to embrace aging. Besides, how would you like to have to work another 50 years like DS and DD? No way baby   Is Tony feeling well enough to take you out this weekend and celebrate in style?

Michelle - so funny that you mention the pictures of yourself. Our activities committee distributed some pictures from our last event and OMG :yikes: Talk about a wake up call! I also agree with you about giving the up sugar tantamount to I WANT MY MOMMY! It seems like a daunting challenge but I will support you if you will do the same  Glad you are getting some relief from the PT. I'll take your word for it that deep tissue massage feels good.

Shad - I agree with you getting ticked about relinquishing the sensitive info. Especially with all the rampant identity theft. And they don't have a good answer as to why they need it other than "we've always done it that way". Good luck. Oh and I was disappointed to find that the yogurt is Wallaby "Australian style" yoghurt - actually made by a company in California. :( It was good but not authentic I suppose. Savannah is adorable. Such beautiful eyes ready to check out the world around her. There was a lady walking the halls today that sort of sounded like you accent and pitch wise, for a wistful moment I thought you were coming over to talk to me, then I realized I was AT WORK and was just daydreaming.

Mel - :yay: for Jen getting a new tub. I can imagine how long it takes to get repairs, much less upgrades. Hope they do a good job. Are they doing the walls too or just the tub? As for the herbs - they are meant to be snipped - a bit at a time. I planted curly parsley (for the butterflies to lay eggs), flat parsley for us, dill, Italian sweet basil and cilanto. I'm thinking I might want to do a rosemary tree also. No veggies this year, I think it will be easier just to get them at the farmers market.

We have pots of flowers all over the back yard. Just touches of color, nothing excessive but I'm loving it. Looks so pretty. DH did a good job. Pool opens today so now I can sit on the deck on the swing and enjoy my flowers and the soothing sounds of the water gently circulating in the pool.

Ceejay - I'm glad you had a nice visit last weekend after the past drama. Is the new mattress comfy? I think the cousin gets confused because no one ever really explains to us all these subtle things that start happening from age 40 onward. Sometimes we just think we are going crazy, oftentimes the doc's just ignore us.

 Patty - how goes it your way?

I have a homeowners assn meeting again tonight. We're going to try (ha ha ha) to get some other neighbor's involved. Last weekend my sweet neighbor down the street decided on a project for her young children. They had a lemonade and cookie stand, the proceeds going to the church missionary couple who take care of 31 orphans in South Africa. The kids made the most adorable fliers (think pictures drawn by a 5 year old) and were all excited about this. We took a walk down the street and several neighbors came by. It was the first time we've met some of these people and we've lived her 4 years. It was really nice to talk under the shade of the tree with a cool glass of lemonade. Of course, people are more likely to come and support children or a worthy cause rather than just socialize. But it was a good idea.

And with that, lunch is over, back to work. Enjoy what's left of the day.

ALL DONATIONS WERE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED. I FINISHED THE BOXES OF MEDS FOR BOTH OF THEM AND FIRST AID FOR THE KIDS...BOTH BIG AND SMALL. RICHIE IS STILL NOT BACK TO WORK ON A 5 DAY BASIS SO MONEY REMAINS VERY TIGHT. HEy all. Did get to the gym, but did not get my run in tonight. Was having tummy issues anyway, but then stress kicked everything into high gear with some issues with my apartment complex :fr: They misposted my check (I assume, since I know I paid), and sent me an eviction notice!!!

As far as the online dating, I think I have decided against. I got hung up on how to describe myself. They have a 200 word minimum, and it doesn't take that long to say "Neurotic John Candy impersonator with obsessive compulsive tendencies." I would love to have frogs to kiss, but even they hop the other way.

Anyway, sorry for the vent - still stressed over the apartment crap :tantrum: You all have a wonderful night!

Happy Hump Day ladies -

DH, DMIL and I had a great time at the Brewers baseball game last night! The Brewers were leading most of the game but lost in the end. Before the game we had dinner at a bar/restaurant that offers free shuttle service to the stadium...much easier than trying to find a place to park. We had a great dinner (I was NOT counting points last night - cheeseburger, fries and a few beers). But I'm back on the straight and narrow today.

Happy - I didn't know that butterflies liked to lay eggs in curly parsley. I'll have to make sure I plant some. I wonder if it's too late for b'fly egg laying up here. I'd love to attract more to my yard. So when is the pool party! I'm so ready for warm weather and swimming. Such a great story about your neighbor's lemonade stand!

Mel - So nice of you to box up care packages for Jen and Richie. You're right, there are things more precious than the almighty dollar - spending time with loved ones for instance.

Jolly - Good for you for getting to the gym. I hope you're feeling better today. An eviction notice? Are they kidding? Do you have a copy of the cancelled check you can give them/fax them? If you do change your mind about the online dating, you should let us describe you. You're way too hard on yourself.

Shad - Good luck in trying to get the recruiter to understand. Speak slowly and in very short words.

Ceejay - I hope you're not working crazy hours again. Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

Annie - So happy to hear that you and Tony are feeling a bit better and that you had a fun ride on the Harley!

Big hugs and Love to all,

Good morning all,

Guess some of Mel's rain is lingering here too. Very overcast outside and humid. That means I'll arrive at work looking like a bag lady.

Michelle we found out about the butterflies quite by accident last year when we noticed a baby swallowtail that had just come out of the cocoon and was drying it's wings on a bush. I looked up the info on the internet. Butterflies like 2 kinds of plants - nectar ones they can feed from and plants like parsley that are food for their larvae. The season is just starting so it's not too late to get some parsley out there.

Had a talk with the president of the homeowners assn. We all agree - more work and grief than we need / deserve. May of next year, we are all done with this. They can go back to the haphazard, sloppiness way they seem to like it down here.

I have to go do a few things before I leave the house so stay dry and cool.

Hey Mel - We've had the damp overcast cloudy rainy drizzly days here too. Not ready for ARK time yet, thank goodness. Good luck with the cable guy. Don't twist his arm too hard....it might make your shoulder feel worse.

Happy - Thanks for the butterfly info. I'll stop at the nursery tonight to get some parsley and nectar plants. I was wondering if y'all were having humidity yet. From everything I've heard of homeowners assn, I'm glad we're not in one. Those who care about the neighborhood participate and follow the guidelines/rules nd those who don't care do not...not much different than if a association wasn't in place. Glad there is a light at the far end of the tunnel. Hang in there.

I just got out of a weight management class offered through the Wellness Center at my work. It's a 10 week course focusing on healthy lifestyle changes, and today was the first session. I did my initial weigh in....not good. But I'm not discouraged as it's only a number and a starting point. I can do this. I have the desire and the determination. If losing weight will allow me to walk more and do more fun activities, then that's what I'm going to do.

After work, I have a meeting with a website client, and then I'll probably go to the gym if it's not too late.

diyana
06-11-2009, 08:46 AM
I did not make it to the gym last night. After meeting with the website client and her new "business coach", I was frustrated and feeling like I needed to get the crap she wanted on the website done.

happy2bme
06-11-2009, 09:36 AM
Holy Cow Michelle - I don't think I've EVER heard you as frustrated as that last post of yours. Run for the hills! :yikes: That's the problem with dealing with people - they can be such zydzyks (a Mork from Ork word in case you don't want a blue cloud out of your mouth!) Sorry you missed the gym last night. I swear I'd be stick thin if I was rich and could focus only on me.

It's another grey day here with a threat of storms. It's jungle muggy too. My head is killing me this morning but I have to go to work as I have a meeting I cannot reschedule. My chest hurts too. In talking with a friend of mine, I think I might have a bit of asthma. I always related asthma to wheezing and coughing but there are different symptoms too. Sometimes you don't know what you don't know until someone who does know explains it to you and it all clicks in "oh yeahhhhhhhhh"

So I'm sorry - not really up to posting personals this morning, but I'm offering coffee to anyone who wants a cup :coffee: Later chicks...

and what's all this "coach" psycho-babble lately - business "coach", life "coach" bah! The only coach I ever truly enjoyed was Coach from the Cheers TV show

But then again, perhaps I can be a "fat coach" - there are still a few skinnies I can pull to the dark side :chin:

Happy - You are so perceptive! I was very frustrated and am still a little. You are correct...people can be such zydzyks. But I don't really want to go into it because there's no sense in perpetuating the negativity. I'm just going to switch my focus to more positive, upbeat thoughts....Like how much I really do like my full-time job, and how much I enjoy working on websites, and how nice it is to have the extra income...and how lucky I am to have such a wonderful family and friends...and of course, my furry "kids" too. Sorry you have such a headache. Does muggy weather bring it on? I know when we have a big humid storm front move through, I can be more susceptible to migraines. I also know that my asthma is sometimes worsened by humid, "heavy" air. Hope you feel better very soon and have a wonderful day, despite the grey weather. I've been wondering about all this coach stuff as well. Sometimes, I think I'd like a weight loss coach (but then again, I have one - my personal trainer/coach at the gym). You're right...as coaches go, they don't get much better than the Coach on Cheers! Thanks for making me smile!

Hey All..totally missed yesterday. It was the busiest day from H*LL. Didn't get home from work till 6:30. I am usually home by 5:00. Was dizzy all day with a bit of nausea, think it was because I ran out of my anti-depressant on Sunday while awaiting the mail in order to get here. I checked on line and sure enough dizzy and nausea are side effects of stopping cold turkey. So I went and whined to the pharmacist and he gave me a couple to hold me over. I am feeling better today. SHu weee. I am still busy at work tho, but needed a break so chat with my worldly girlies.

MEL...thank you for the BD wishes, however I am not celebrating this year. OMG 49. No other age as EVER bothered me, but 49 and 50 are freaking me out. I guess cause of all the wrinkles, skin, and gray hair. YIKES. I know it beats the h*ll out death, but it is still scary old.

Happy...sounds like you and I have the same kind of sinuses. Certain oders and whatnot cause me migraines and sinus issues. I cannot even wear perfume....thinking about it gives me a headache.

Ms. Chelle...work your frustrations out at the gym. Business coach, sheest, now I have heard it all.

Ceejay...the bike ride was fantabulous. I think I am happiest on the back of Tony's bike. It is so awesome.

Hi to Jolly, Shad, Ruth, and anyone else I may have missed.

Have a great Thursday.

Love and Hugs

Afternoon all

Happy
I'm beginning to think I have allergies to the weather! I've been having some symtoms of asthma but keep forgetting to tell the doctor. The scariest is the tightening of the air passages.

Mel
Enjoy your day tomorrow. You deserve it

Michelle
I'm proud of you for joining the wellness class.

Annie
I felt the same way when I turned 50. Hope the dizziness and nausea goes away soon.

Jolly and Shad  Hope your day is going well.

I've been off today but haven't accomplished much of anything.

Went out to refill the bird bath last night and decided to wash the accumulating fuzz out of the a. c. unit. I didn't see it at first but there was a green snake, about 24 inches, coming out of the a.c. Guess I'd hit it with the water hose. Luckily the ac came on and the impeller blade caught it. I hate snakes. We've had a lot of rain this year.

Hello Ladies,

This week has flown by. I have only gotten 1 workout. I had to travel two days this week, leaving the house at 6am and not returning until 5pm, is not my idea of fun. And to top it off, when i travel, i tend to munch in car...I tried to prepare for that, bring apple, popcorn, but when i made a pit stop, I bought chips..

Thanks all for now... i'm tired... I will post more this weekend...

Morning all,
New day, new attitude. Depression buzz off.
Actually I overslept this morning due to tossing and turning and having to get up several times to visit the little house. I've been sort of stressing over this assignment they gave me. I'm getting sort of there, but with all the other crap going on, it's taking time.
This weekend, I am working Saturday morning. Then in the afternoon, I'm going to see the Fire Water on the harbour. It is supposed a replication of the sinking of the 'Three Bees' and it should be interesting.
The blurb goes:
Take a journey back to 1814 as a ghostly convict ship emerges from the dark waters of Campbells Cove and explodes into flames.
It's a recreation of the fire that devastated the 19th century convict ship Three Bees sending it's cannon balls blazing across the harbour. There is also supposed to be a floating lantern festival. It should be fun.
Sunday will be grocery and farmers market shopping and tripping around the city to see what is photographable (is there such a word) and generally trying to keep warm and enjoy myself. It is freezing here at the moment. Even the natives are complaining about the winter cold!

No time for personals at the moment. I'll check back later and maybe find another couple of minutes to spare.

I apologize folks. I just came in to vent. I picked up a 3rd shift in one of my group homes tonight to help out. An awake 3rd shift. So, left work a little early so I could come home and get some sleep, since i have to go back into the office after the shift tomorrow, and have a 3 mile run and a 1 hour personal trainer session. Long day. So, go to bed, and an hour and a half into my sleep, my mother calls. I explained I was working tonight, and could I call her tomorrow, and she goes sure but . . . .I finally had to interupt and explain again, I was working tonight, could I call her tomorrrow. She says sure in a huff. But then I couldn't fall back asleep. So, I will have a very long day on a 1 1/2 hour nap. Great. :coffee:

Other than that, not much to report. Still not eating right. STill not working out as I should. Basically, feel like a :moo:

 to all. Shad, totally enjoy the festival. Sounds cool. Weird thing to celebrate, but still cool.

Happy Friday ladies -

I went to the gym last night and had a great cardio workout and did my PT exercises there. I've got a PT appt today over my lunch hour and then acupuncture after work. Hopefully, the treatments will do the trick so that I'll be able to walk around a very large zoo in Chicago tomorrow. And hopefully there will be lots of benches for when I need to sit. After the zoo, I'm hoping that we go to Lou Malnati's for dinner. We've been there once before and they have THE BEST Chicago style deep dish pizza. Of course, I looked up the points for deep dish pizza and it's 48 points! :yikes: Still and all, we don't get to Chicago very often and dang it, their pizza is a very special treat, and I'll have done A LOT of walking to work it off. (see how I can justify anything, ladies!) Weather permitting, we may be fishing on Sunday! :woohoo:

Shad - Wishing you a nice weekend after the week from h*ll that you've had. Sounds like an interesting festival. Enjoy!

Annie - Happy Birthday! So nice of your boss to buy you an outfit! Hope you have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

Ceejay - I actually don't mind non-poisonous snakes at all. I would even like to have one for a pet, but between our 3 dogs and a bearded dragon lizard, DH says we have enough. I hope you get your allergies/asthma under control.

Patty - It's so hard to eat right when you're on the road. Good for you for bringing along healthy snacks, next time bring a little bit more.

Jolly - It's hard when people call when you're sleeping and then don't get off the phone. Hang in there. I hope you get to relax a little this weekend. Try and eat right, especially today, when you're sleep deprived AND still working out, your body needs healthy fuel more than ever.

Happy - Enjoy your mental vacation! Do you have planned yet for your vacation days?

Mel - enjoy your relaxing weekend - starting right now! :)

Lots of love and hugs to all,

Morning all,
Sitting here at work just wondering why I am here. I think I did all I could do yesterday, but there is a possibility of me being able to get hold of some of the consultants today so maybe I will find something to do.

Still trying to work out whether or not I wish to continue doing the job I am doing. I really am at a crossroads here, and the only person who can answer the question is me. Life really is a b*tch.

Annie - Happy Birthday and many happy returns. Life is usually quite good after 50 or so I have found. No need to be worried about it. It happens. And the attitude you take into the nifty fifties is what makes or breaks you. Have a big party at the beginning and the end of it, nothing like a good party.

Mel - rest up. I've been wandering around the dvd stores lately. Might have some new stuff for you to work on. Mind you, I could probably put a stills video of my own stuff together and put music to it, you might enjoy that more. Imagine - we could have aerial views of NZ's Bay of Islands and put the Ride of the Valkyries to it. Yummo!
Or maybe, Sydney and/ or Wellington Harbour set to Handl's fire and water music. That would be fun. Might make millions out of it.

Happy - so sorry to hear that the homeowners assn is proving to be a pain in the ***. You try to do good for a range of people and you get jumped on.
Something special coming up for leave??

Jolly - what is it about shift work that causes people to ring up and just want to chat or to sell you something when you are trying to sleep. I really feel sorry for those on shifts.

Michelle - enjoy the pizza. It might be the last you have for a while if you are determined to shuck some weight. I personally love the thin base crispy wood fired pizza that we get in the trendy places, but I don't get them often.

Any way I'd better go do somework. Otherwise it will be time to go home and nothing has moved here.

Good Morning Ladies,

It's a beautiful morning here. We had lots of storms/tornadoes the last few nights. My area got lots of rain and wind. My sister who lives about 45 minutes away was out of power for about 36 hours... i told her to come to my house or moms but she was going to stick in our in her RV, luckily she has a generator and was able to have a/c in it. Going to clean house today and get somewhat ready for next weekend. I think we're going to have Father's Day Celebration at my house.

Shad - I hope you were able to contact some Consultants and get some work. Having nothing to do makes a day very long.

Jolly - Glad you survived. WTG for getting your 3mile run in.. YOU GO GIRL...

Annie - Happy Belated Birthday! Sounds like you had a wonderful day... Wow boss gave you a nice gift... I"m sure your looking forward to your weekend...Celebrate, Have Fun...

Mitchellez - Have fun in CHICAGO!.. Hope the weather is perfect for you all. Be safe..

Happy - I"m with you. I'm so ready for a vacation, but saving my days for something.. don't know what...but hopefully something will come up.

Happy belated birthday to you Annie. Hope you had fun.

Sorry I am late. Yesterday afternoon we got a bunch of severe storms. Got straightline (tornado like) winds of 80 miles per hour. Lots of tree branches down. A big tree fell right next to our newly landscaped front entrance (just missed it by bits) and another tree fell on a neighbor's house just down on the next street. We have some minor fence damage but could have been worse. Power went out at 5pm yesterday and first came back around 2pm today. It's still kind of sporatic so I shouldn't really have the computer on.

I will catch up later if things stabilize.

Shad, I am sorry to hear about your work situation. I completely understand. Just remember that sometimes we talk ourselves out of trying the things we most should. ;) Although there is something to be said for the droll putting a roof over our heads.

Hey all. Happy Birthday Annie. Sorry if I forgot to say that ON your birthday :(

To be fair, Shad, Mom didn't know I had picked up a shift. But she also didn't seem to comprehend and get off the phone when I asked. Ah well. Not the end of the world. I may not be a college girl any more, but I can still pull the occasional all nighter ;) Good luck with your job decisions. I know how hard it can be to be stuck on that fence.

Thanks Patty :D Needed that. I need something to get me back on track. I am a mess.

Happy, glad you didn't have serious damage.

I have to clean, get my 7 mile run in, and go help my sister with her new house. Should be a good day for it. I get to try out the new support strap I bought for my knee. Hopefully it will keep my kneecap attached through my marathon training. I don't want to lose them, and have to put their pictures on the milk cartons. . . "Have you seen this knee??"

Have a great day all

I hope the storms are gone for awhile. They were back agin this morning with full force.
I'm back at work this morning. I hate to work on Sunday's. I had a good three day week end though, mainly rest and relaxation. I've needed that for a long long time. I did go for groceries yesterday at the super Walmart in Blytheville just to get out of the house. I was hoping to find a replace part for the weed eater but no such luck. I bought a new one.
I made myself get up and vacuum the living room floor and clean up the kitchen last night before I went to bed. My house is looking a lot less cluttered.

Happy
I'm glad there was only minimal damage from the storms at your house. I thought about you yesterday and this morning.

Hey Gang...thanks for all the birthday wishes, some later or not. Tony took me out to eat to Webber Grill. Sadly, it was not that great. The salad was pretty good tho. Last night, a few girlfriends and I went to watch my bros band. I didn't even drink. Wasn't in the mood. But did dance quite a bit. Tony came over tonight for homemade vegetable soup, jalepeno corn bread muffins and salad made with spinacha and lettuce from my garden. Yum yum.

Afternoon all,
Struggling along here. If you find my motivation, please send it back. My brain appears to have gone walkabout as well.

Annie so glad you had a good birthday. The soup and muffins sound superb. I think I need a wife!!!! Someone who can cook up some muffins for me. No maybe not, I would just eat them as long as they were there.

Patty - I have work, I am just being whingy about it. And I think I am allergic to Sydney and work at the moment.

Happy - storms huh? Moving into the wet season I guess. We get them alot in the summer in Brisbane - or at least we did until climate change caught up with us.

Jolly - hope the knees hold up. I'll go out and check on them if you look for my mojo. Deal?

Mel - happy flag day to you as well. Didn't know you had a flag day??

ceejay - no doubt it will all come out eventually. I just wish it would stick in the brain. So much information, so little direction as to what to do with it. And they love to use big words - like concatenation - and I have to run a thesaurus to find SIMPLE words which mean the same. I mean, since they consider the worker bees too ignorant and dumb to do anything much so they have almost completely automated the system, why would they use such big words to describe the action?

The event on the harbour on Saturday night was quite good, but would have helped if I had researched the legend. It was somewhat abstract. Although I did enjoy watching the really hard work and imagination that went into making a ship rise from the ocean bed, blow up with a load of cannon balls, and sink back down to the bottom of the ocean.
And they did that 4 times a night for 3 nights. I have some pictures, but won't get them on line until the weekend. I'm thinking of trying to make a movie out of the changing colours and patterns on the Opera House sails, but then again some of my photos didn't quite come out too well. I should really get myself a tri-pod for those occasions, however it would not have done too much good on Saturday with the million or so people down on the waterfront.

Ah well, time to go and get on with it. I'll be back tomorrow.

Hi all,

Monday rolls around again. It was a rather disruptive weekend. Apparently we had 2 tornados zip by on Friday. Lived in "tornado alley" all my life and since we've moved down here there has been 1 tornado EACH YEAR zipping close to if not flying right over our house. :yikes: I'm just grateful we didn't have a big tree uprooted and falling on the house like some did.

Shad - DH has a uni-pod which folds up small like an umbrella. Gives you just the amount of steadiness that you need for sensitive pictures. I know what you mean about the job - one day it stops being fun - not just this assignment but over and over. I think you need to consider a change of some sort.

Annie - there was a Webber Grill restaurant in Illinois. Some things were good, some not in fact, I think we liked the appetizers a whole lot and the entrees were so so. Other than your meal, sounds like you had a fun weekend. Now you will pay for it by having to work all week!

Ceejay - sounds like you have a nice 3 day weekend yourself. Always good to recharge the batteries!

Mel, nice pic of flag day. I forgot all about that. Did you keep yourself out of trouble? No  then did you at least have fun

Jolly - I will look for your knee on a milk carton around here - good joke! Hope you can get your training in.

Patty - hope you got to enjoy that nice day. Glad your sister is ok.

Michelle - how was that pizza? You have me drooling. :hungry: Did you go to Brookfield Zoo? Do they still do the live butterfly exhibit?

Time for me to run off to work. Have a good one everybody.

Happy Monday everyone -

I am in a great mood today...though a little tired/sore from the zoo yesterday. Saturday was a very rainy day in Chicago, so we ended up staying home and running errands. It was a really nice relaxing day nonetheless. Yesterday, we went to the zoo and had a great time! The weather was gorgeous. We did lots of walking. DMIL thought she'd be able to walk the whole day, but her knees were giving her trouble, so we got her a wheelchair...which turned out to be quite a blessing for me as pushing the chair helped support my back so I was able to walk all day with very few breaks! What a relief! We ended the day with deep dish pizza that Chicago is famous for! Yummm! I don't feel too bad about the indulgence as I burned/earned a lot of activity points during the day. I slept well last night and am ready to have a great week! :)

Jolly - Glad to hear you survived the 3rd shift and still got your 3 mile run in! :woohoo: YGG!

Shad - Sorry to hear that work is causing you so much angst. Hang in there, my friend. I'm looking forward to seeing your photos...which are always lovely!

Patty - Glad to hear you weren't terribly affected by the storms. And I'm glad your sister is okay after riding out the storm in her RV! :yikes:

Happy - Wow! Sounds like the storms were really bad where you live. I saw some footage of the Memphis area on the Weather Channel and thought of you...hoping you were okay. I'm glad you had only minimal damage compared to some. Tornadoes scare me too...we had one a few years ago that went about 20 miles from our house...that's close enough for me, thank you very much. Yes, Brookfield Zoo still has the lovely butterfly exhibit! It's so nice to see so many different species of butterflies flying around. Just beautiful! It's one of my favorite parts of the zoo...along with the amazing gorilla/ape exhibit!

Ceejay - Bummer that you had to work on a Sunday...but nice that you had a 3 day weekend to rest up.

Annie - How fun to dance the night away for your birthday weekend! Your dinner of soup, corn bread muffins and homegrown salad sounds mmm mmmm good!

Mel - Sorry to hear your eyes are giving you fits again. Take care of yourself and your peepers.

I will keep my eyes out for any lost knees, missing motivation and wandering minds, and I'll return them to their rightful homes.

Here's wishing all of us a positive, happy, and productive week!

Love and big hugs,

Good Morning My Chick-a-dees.........

Great weekend, yes yes yes...now back at work..however kind of peaceful this morning.

Shad...the bright side of your jobs, they get over and you move on to something else.

MEL...the soup was delish. I didn't have any tomato juice so I used Mrs. Ts Bloody Mary mix, and by golly it was quite tasty, however a little spicey, but not hot. THe band will probably never be rich. THey only play for fun about once a month. Take care of your eyes, do we need to get you a braille keyboard?

Happy....head for cover...it is tornado season here too. We have been fortunate not to have any tornados as yet.

Ms. Chelle...oh the zoo, what fun, I go there to visit my relatives. Did you stop and say hi to my family?

A bit tired this morning...kind of dragging. Could lay down and take a nap. Doesn't help that this space heater under my desk is making me all toastie and comfy. Need to take a HONK SHU......

I'm heading to the doc after work today. I'm hoping he'll be willing to order an MRI of my lower back, as I'd like to have it done before I see the sports med doc in two weeks. Also, I'm going to ask him if he thinks a neurologist may be able to help me, as my PT thinks that based on my symptoms and the locations of the pain, there may be some pinching of nerves, including my sciatic nerve. The other reason is that I found out the Weight Watchers membership, if prescribed by a doctor for the treatment of some disease - high blood pressure, high cholesterol, pre-diabetes (all of which I have), can qualify for flex spending dollars.

Annie - I know how you feel, Annie. DH and I have lots of home improvements that need to be done, and they will be someday. A new wiper motor for your car is more of an immediate need. But $348 to fix it? Yikes! Is it the part that costs that much or parts and labor? Do you know someone who could replace it for you - to save you the labor costs? Hang in there, my friend, and don't jump.

Mel - I hope the peepers are doing better.

Shad - Nice that you are able to work with people you know. I hope they are good co-workers and easy to get along with.

Jolly - How's the knee doing? Is the knee strap helping?

Happy, Ceejay, Ruth, Patty and everyone - I hope you're all doing well and having a good week so far!

Love and hugs to all,

MICHELLE....THE PEEPERS ARE MUCH BETTER ONCE I LIMIT MY PC TIME. THANKS...ALSO WHILE YOU ARE AT DIFFERENT DOCTORS...I WAS WONDERING IF YOU COULD ASK ABOUT A "TENS" UNIT? IT'S A SMALL PALM SIZED UNIT AND ELECTRODES GO TO YOUR BACK OR WHEREVER THE PAIN IS LOCATED. SUPPOSED TO BLOCK THE PAIN SIGNAL TO THE BRAIN. OFTEN USED FOR PINCHED NERVES...ESPECIALLY THE SCIATICA REGION. IT WORKED OK FOR ME FOR AWHILE BUT NTHIS DISORDER GOT TOO BAD FOR ANYTHING TO WORK RIGHT. GOOD LUCK

Mel - Glad to hear the eyes are doing better. Actually, I have a TENS unit, and I like it. Sometimes it's difficult to get the patches in the correct place, but when I do it really helps. My husband has one for his knee and when we found them on sale, we got another one - in case we both needed it at the same time. I even used to wear it at work occasionally a couple years ago, but then a couple times I accidentally brushed the knobs and cranked the thing up! :yikes: That was a shocker (quite literally)! Thanks for reminding me of that option. I also have a hard lacrosse ball and stiff foam rolls that my PT gave me for self-massage, which also help. I've got the day to day pain down to a manageable level...but I still want to be able to walk for more than 10 minutes. That's my goal. 1/2 hour walking with no (or very little) pain. The funny thing is that shopping carts don't help my walking like pushing the wheelchair did. I guess the wheelchair handles are at a better height for me than shopping carts. But I will get better. I'm much better now than before...I just have to conquer the pain when walking or standing for long periods (like 15 minutes). Glad to hear you've passed all the office headaches on to the Boss Lady today! Wishing you a very relaxing day.

Ms Chelle. The part alone is 215.00, the rest labor. You have to take part of the dash area off from inside the hood to replace it. No one wants to touch it in my family.

I get a daily email from Prevention, and today's contained a link to a bunch of 400 calorie meal ideas. Most of them look very good, and some even include yummy indulgences! Here's the link:

Annie - I wish I could wave a magic wand and $400 would appear in your wallet for the motor. Plus some in your checkbook for your roof. I'm still looking for that wand, I must've misplaced it somewhere. Someday I will find it, maybe if I ever get the house cleaned and organized.

I was hesitant to say anything before because I know some of your are lovin' your Zicam when you have a cold, but this was just announced by the FDA.

When someone recommended it earlier in the year, I did a little research on the Internet and came up with several different websites with comments from Zicam users, all complaining about a reduced sense of smell over time. (I don't think this happens after 1 dose).

So, use at your own risk...

WASHINGTON – Consumers should stop using Zicam Cold Remedy nasal gel and related products because they can permanently damage the sense of smell, federal health regulators said Tuesday.

The over-the-counter products contain zinc, an ingredient scientists say may damage nerves in the nose needed for smell. The other products affected by the Food and Drug Administration's announcement are adult and kid-size Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs.

The FDA says about 130 consumers have reported a loss of smell after using Zicam products since 1999.

"Loss of the sense of smell is potentially life threatening and may be permanent," said Dr. Charles Lee. "People without the sense of smell may not be able to detect life dangerous situations, such as gas leaks or something burning in the house."

The FDA said Zicam Cold Remedy was never formally approved because it is part of a small group of remedies that are not required to undergo federal review before launching. Known as homeopathic products, the formulations often contain herbs, minerals and flowers.

ohhh Michelle - those recipes look wonderful. And I just ate lunch! I can recommend the yogurt and berries highly. I often eat that for breakfast LF vanilla yogurt, fresh berries, and I alternate between 2 tablespoons of Uncle Sam Flax Cereal (very crunchy) or some sliced almonds. Apple and peanut butter are great snacks too. Drop a couple of semi sweet mini chocolate chips in the peanut butter if you want a little chocolate in there. Thank you so much for sharing these! I love Prevention magazine.

Mel, I thought that I WAS the wicked witch of the south :witch2: "Glenda gone bad" I'm sorry that your peepers are flapping again. Wish we had an audio version of the thread. We'd probably be banned for colorful language tho

Shad - did not understand the comment about your past sins coming to haunt you. Thought that meant you'd get the 2 guys that drove you up the wall rather than helping. Wasn't there one 2 years ago, lazy as could be that made you get the :rollpin: out?

Annie - sorry about the money woes. We never have enough money. Sometimes I would get frustrated because I'd put some savings aside and always, ALWAYS some crisis would come and suck up all the money. I once told DH it was worthless to save anything and we got in the biggest fight of the decade over that comment. Hope something comes your way cash wise.

Most days I love my co-workers. Some days not. Especially like today when they ask a question, you answer it and then they forgot to listen / and or / care. Just talking to hear themselves talk I guess. Oy.

Hey ladies -

I'm going to the gym tonight after the doctor appt. And tomorrow, I'm going to the gym after work and then planning on joining WW after the gym. They have a good offer in my area where if you purchase a monthly pass (via their website), you get the second month free...so that's like 8 weeks for $40 - a great deal. And if I can get my doc to "prescribe" it, then I can get reimbursed with flex spending dollars - which I'm also using for acupuncture.

Happy - Thanks for the breakfast and snacking suggestions. Love your thoughts about an audio version of the thread.

Hello Ladies,

Not much going on... work, work, work. I did get up early this morning and worked out. Now i'm sore.

Annie - Ouch... i know how you feel. You should call back up to the shop and ask them if they have any specials going on? Sometimes when you ask they'll give you some little discount.. it's usually not much, but it all adds up.

Michellez - WTG for getting ahead of the game. Hope your books come in soon. I sometimes think i need to see someone different about my back. I've been going to the chiro for over 2 years. I do goo, but my hip shifts, or moves and my leg get short by, then the calves get sore.. I get an adjustment and i'm fine. The longest i've gone without an adjustment and felt good is 3 weeks. My chiro says it's the way i sit in chair, drive in car etc.

Happy - thanks for the update on Zicam. I hadn't heard the news lately.

Mel - the good news is the rain will wash away the smog.

Shad - Hope your day gets better.

what a fabulous deal you got on the WW Michelle. Hope you get a good leader. WW Online (the one you have to pay for) has alot of great recipes too and I love their online points tracker.

Yep, I found out too that if your doc give you a written letter that you are obese, you can write off your WW fees against your health care reimbursement. BUT you can't do the same with your gym fees. Now does that make any sense?   I didn't think so either.

I'm going to sleep now.

Well it couldn't get much worse really.

I was in early and working away when I get three phone calls in a row to check that I have everything I need to put my reference check.
I did put it in, but I sent it encrypted (by me) and to the checking place. I requested a return receipt, not that it is necessary - they'll have to ring me for the password to open the document anyway. They haven't done so yet, hopefully it hasn't gone astray.

Just when I was getting grotty about that, the system went down and I lost all the stuff I had been doing - it didn't recover my files either. Then it just went down about every 2 or three minutes so I got hacked with that and copied everything to my harddrive and have been working on that.

Then the recruiter rang about something I haven't done for this #$%^& reference. So sack me! I don't have the time or the patience for this anymore. And I hung up on him. I don't think I will get any work out of this one again.

So yes the day is getting better. It's getting closer to going home time.

Anyway, I'd better get back to it. No personals today. I'll be back tomorrow.

Shad, sounds like you're having a doozy day too. All this for a refererence for a future job? Hate it that you lost your files. I'll toast you with the hard stuff

Crazy Mr. Cardinal is jumping up and attacking the front window again. He jumps up from the ground and bangs the window. Does that to my neighbors also. In that case he swoops from a tree and hits the second floor bedroom window. At first we thought it was because he saw his reflection and thought he was protecting his nest from an "intruder" but now, we just think he's crazy.

We're adding my Mom to our cell phone plan so that she can be more secure as her voice over IP phone goes out alot. Picked up a new cell phone for her yesterday. They made a cheap model for an 82 year old woman. Big numbers (for a cell phone) on the key pad. You can enlarge the display to show larger numbers and set the key pad to announce the number when you press it to dial. Big green button that says CALL and big red button that says END. Nice to see that the cell phone companies considered people at the other end of the spectrum for once.

Did you know that since the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) regulates cell phones that they have mandated that ALL cell phones must be able to call the emergency 911 number even IF they don't have a current service plan. Yep, that means your old phones in a drawer can still be used to dial 911 as long as they are charged up. In fact many organizations collect old cell phones and give them to seniors and disabled folks for just this reason. They suggest you stash an old phone with a car power adapter cord under the seat in the car (not in the glove box where it can get stolen). If you're ever in an emergency you can plug the phone in and call 911. Of course this is for life threatening emergencies only, you can't use it to call 911 for a tow truck if you break down. The only thing with these kinds of phones is that since you have no active service, the operator won't know your phone number and if you get disconnected, you will have to call back and obviously with no phone number they can't trace you and you will have to give them your location. Oh and only digital phones work, not the old, old analog phones. So that's my tip for the day.

Gotta run. Hellos to the chicks

Happy Wednesday morning -

I went to the doc yesterday and got everything done that I wanted to. He agreed that I should have another MRI to see why I'm still having difficulty walking, etc. and since it has been 4 years since the last MRI. He also recommended I go see a neurosurgeon to see if there's something pinching on my sciatic nerve (or any other nerves), so he gave me the name of a very good one who will only "cut" as an absolute last resort! PHEW! I got a prescription for WW, and have decided that I'm going to join WW at work. It's a little more expensive than the monthly pass deal WW has going on in my area...but the meetings are held over the lunch hour so it doesn't cut into my precious evening time at the gym or with DH.

Patty - Thanks for sharing about your back struggles. I went to a chiro several years ago for neck adjustments to help treat migraines, but I found that the adjustment only lasted a couple days to a week at most. I'm looking for, and am determined to find, long term relief. I already have significant pain relief most of the time compared to months ago....but I'm determined to be able to walk, hike and be more active again (without pain) before the summer is done. Sitting at a desk, or in a car, can really mess up your back. I try and be conscious of my posture, but sometimes I slip up and slouch and my back yells at me big time for that.

Happy - I agree with you that it doesn't make any sense that the health care flex spending will reimburse for WW but not for a gym. :dunno: Good idea to add your mom to your cell phone plan. We added my DMIL to ours awhile back, and since everyone she talks to uses the same cell provider and gets free calls to/from them, she doesn't need many minutes. I did know about all cell phones being able to call 911. We donate our used phones to battered women's organizations so they can dial for help.

Mel - I hope you feel better very soon.

Annie - I hope you're doing better today. Did you get out your stress at Curves? Or relax it away at tanning?

Shad - I'm sorry you're having such a hassle with the reference checking place and the recruiter. I'm surprised you just can't fax the references in or give them the info over the phone. What a pain in the *#$%^&*! I really hope today and the rest of the week go better for you. I'm toasting you with the hard stuff as well. :toast:

Well, I'd better get to work.

Love and hugs to all,

I just got done with this week's meeting of a free (work-sponsored) weight management workshop/weigh in, and I've lost 2 pounds in the past week! This totally surprised me as I had some Chicago deep dish pizza on Sunday (with leftovers yesterday). I guess the trips to the gym and all the walking at the zoo on Sunday really burned off some calories. Plus, I've been working on eating more veggies and drinking lots of water, which are two of my 3 challenges on RedBalloon's 21 day challenge thread.

Anyway, I was already in a good mood today, now I feel like dancing! :dancer:

:yay: for you Michelle. 2 pounds is great, especially after deep dish pizza. Hope you like the WW at work. I was doing that for a bit this year too but $120 for 10 weeks got a bit pricy. The original group of people who started it do what they call lunch club. 5 of them got together and take turns. Every week 1 person makes lunch to come out to 5 servings and serves the group. This way you only have to make lunch once a week. And you get to try out other people's cooking. They agree ahead of time that lunch with be 5 points or whatever and that's what they stick to. They are very successful thusfar. They told us about it at the meeting but like many people here, will not let anyone else into their little click. And no one else in the group was interested in this so... once again, good idea gone kaput. One of the other reasons I dropped out was because they courted new people just to have enough to keep the WW at Work going (you needed a minimum number of people to join)but when it came to the meetings and discussions, the original clique ruled supreme. Even the WW leader favored them. I do hope you fare better at your place. Geez it sounds like you are really messed up in the back. Going to take alot of work to get your kinks out. I do hope they can find you some relief soon.

Annie I'm thinking you need one of these  and here's a cup of some tea too :coffee: Hope tomorrow morning sees more gold than blues for you.

Patty, I've been taking more notice of sitting in chairs too. Seems so easy to slouch. If you feel better with the chiro, then keep up with it. Some people swear by them for healing.

Shad, just tell them that you know me. ;) That should take care of the need for references.

Mel, hope the belly is doing better. Here's some cammomile tea for you :coffee:

Clinique stopped making the moisturizer I like for my face. Now I am back to experimenting and finding a new one and in the mean time, my face is like a pimply teenager because most moisturizers make me break out. Hate that. Also had a very disruptive week so far on the work front. Gotta slap on the headset, block out the noise and intrusions and put the pedal to the metal and knock some things out the rest of the week. I think I'm going to start by cleaning up the kitchen and getting to bed early tonight.

So goodnight ladies, hope Thursday is good for all of us.

Happy Thursday ladies -

I'm not too worried about my back. It's improving slowly. I just want to have the MRI and see the neurologist/neurosurgeon to make sure there's nothing else wrong. I am confident it will continue to improve with PT, losing weight and exercise. And hopefully, I'll be able to walk more by the time our County Fair rolls around at the end of next month and State Fair in early August. I think I'm going to stop acupuncture though. I don't feel like it's helping much, and laying for that long on my stomach actually aggravates it a bit. Plus, I can use the $$ for WW ($175 for 17 weeks of WW at Work). We need a minimum of 20 people to sign up. If we don't have that, then I'll just go to meetings outside of work and purchase the monthly passes.

I had a great workout last night. I've been doing 30-40 minutes of cardio, followed by 10 minutes of stretching on a Precor Stretch Trainer (back and leg stretching apparatus). The stretching after cardio leaves me with essentially no soreness after working out or even the next day. Tonight, I had an acupuncture appt scheduled, but I'm going to cancel and go to the gym instead.

Shad - I hope the situation in Sydney improves.

Annie - Thinking of you and sending you a big  I hope things are going better for you.

Mel - I hope you're feeling better.

Happy - There are SO many people at my work, and I suppose there are some cliques, but mostly everyone is nice and friendly. Hopefully I won't have the same experience in WW at work as you did. Sorry to hear about your moisturizer. Hope you find one that works for you soon.

Jolly - As busy as you are, it's no wonder you're tired. I hope you get the rest you need soon. Take care of yourself.

Well, I'd better get to work. Here's to a great day...or at least a better day...for all of us!

Much love and big hugs,

diyana

Here's a photo of the Precor Stretch Trainer I use at the gym after my cardio workout to stretch out my back, glutes and legs. I wish they weren't so expensive, I'd buy one for home. Then again, I prefer to work out at the gym anyway...fewer distractions...it's like my own dedicated "me" time.

Feeling a bit better today. Gray skies and one h*llava storm coming are way today. Really sticky and muggy out there. Yuck, gotta love Indiana weather. NOT.

Ms. Chelle...thank you for all your love, support and hugs, it does help. I am very proud of you with the exercising and joining WW. I know you can do this. WHen you get determined to do something, by golly, you do it.

Shad...sorry work is such a b*tch. It has to get better, or I think you may take that "one kill" a month my son talks about everyone should have.

MEL....wish you eyes would get better and stay that way. I miss you!

Jolly...you are always doing something....rest girl.

Happy...thanks for the hugs and the gold...hmmmmmm, if I only had some gold to sell...hehe

Patty...too much work and no play is not good for you.

Took the car in to have the windshield wiper motor replaced. God love Tony, he gave me a blank check to get them fixed. He said not to write the check for more than 3 grand. Like whatever...This is a huge thing for me to accept and I cried all evening TUesday about it.

Not much else going on. Hello to everyone.

I received low-carb recipe emails, and although I haven't tried the recipe below, I thought it looked pretty good and easy.

Veggie Pasta With Italian Chicken Sausage
Ingredients:
2 small zucchini
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 garlic clove, diced
1 cup diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 pound cooked Italian chicken sausage, sliced into small pieces
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, or to taste
Instructions:

Using a vegetable peeler and turning the zucchini as you go, slice the zucchini into ribbons.
In a skillet, over medium heat, sauté zucchini in 1 tablespoon of oil until it's soft and the edges are clear.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in another pan, over medium heat, and add garlic.
Sauté for a minute, then add the tomatoes and oregano.
Simmer for a few minutes, then stir in the sausage.
Spoon sauce over the zucchini. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
Makes 2 servings

Annie - We are also having humidity and severe t-storms for the next day or two. Hopefully nothing too severe as I've got plans tonight and tomorrow night. Thanks for your kind words! You are right about my determination. Sometimes it takes me awhile to really get my motivation/determination/drive going at 100%, but when it's there...I do succeed. Tony sounds like a truly great guy! He is definitely deserving of a wonderful, kind, loving chick like you! So nice of him to give you the money to get the windshild wiper motor fixed. Yeah Chelle...the wiper thing with Tony plus the fact he backed out of our long 4th of July weekend trip to St. Louis. I am going by myself. Tony's parents divorced before he was a year old. They gave custody of him to his grandparents (mother's side). Tony had little or no interaction with his real parents, only because they didn't come around much. In the past 10 years, Tony's mom and dad have been dating/relationship whatever you call it, with each other. Both remarried after their divorce and had additional children. SHe lives in North Carolina, his dad here. Tony has chosen to rekindle his relationship with no hard feelings to his parents and has been visiting, calling etc., for the past 10 or so years. He is such a great guy with a big heart. He holds no grudges. Anyway, his parents are taking Tony and two of his half sisters to Vegas for a week which includes the 4th weekend. I wasn't upset that he is going with them, I was upset cause he didn't tell me till Tuesday night, two weeks before our trip, when he has known for about 2 months. He said he didn't tell me because he had told them no, he couldn't go cause he had plans with me, up until last week and changed his mind because they had badgered and guilted him into it, and in Tony's defense, he didn't look real happy about going to Vegas either. I told him he should of told me from the beginning and not wait till all these plans were made, because more than likely I would of just told him to go with his parents anyway. That is how I roll. He learned a very big lesson about me (us), promising never to withhold info again. So far in the past, everything we discuss that I am unhappy with, which has been only one other thing...the not calling when expected...he has stopped doing that. I believe him when he says he will not do that again. All is better now, my tears have stopped, and he is most attentive and caring. I believe I may be in love. It has only been 9 mos, so give it lots of time. I have babbled enough and very sorry to bore all the chicklets with bs about my love life.

So appreciative of my worldlie chicks.

Much love and many hugs.

Sorry I have not been here in a couple of day's or has it been a week. We still do not have internet at work, and I have been to tired to get on my computer after work. All the storms this week have put a strain on my brain.

Shad
That is the way I feel at work every day.

Annie
I feel that way too. I'm not used to be on the receiving end.

Michelle
Good for you in getting the doctor to give you another mri. I've never had one Infact I'm 58 and never had a stress test nor an ekg. I'm thinking of switching doctor's. I like WW.

Hello to the rest. I'm trying to get 4 day's of work done to go to the uncles this afternoon.

I'm on my way to heaven, I shall be moved - out of Sydney and into Brisbane. I've just uploaded some photos to facebook. Tomorrow I will put them on Webshots and let you know the addy. I'm nearly ready to board my flight so can't start to upload just yet.

I'll be in tomorrow, in a better frame of mind and in another world. I will see you then.

Annie - if you get tired of Tony, send him my way. I'd sworn off men, but someone like that might just change my mind.

Happy, Happy Friday!

We had a dooozy of a thunderstorm last night - loud thunder and SO much lightning. DH and I woke up and had to hold, pet and generally calm our dogs until it passed. And more storms are on the way today - they're saying some may be severe (hail, tornados), but hopefully it won't be that bad. The weather this weekend is supposed to be gorgeous - so we're going fishing (hopefully both Saturday and Sunday)! Yay!!!

I didn't get to the gym last night as planned. My right leg (aka the good leg) was feeling sore after working out on Wednesday, and I didn't want to overtax the left side (bad side) by compensating for the right side. So I got some exercise playing with the dogs and did my stretches.

Annie - Sorry that Tony can't go to St. Louis with you. He sure is a great guy though, and well deserving of someone as wonderful as you. Do you have any fun plans for this weekend?

Ceejay - Did you get to the uncles? As for all the tests, my regular doc is really thorough. Plus he's got a great personality.

Shad - So is this assignment over? Do you no longer have to deal with the recruiter from h*ll? Or is this just a weekend reprieve from the stress and bs?

A big  and  to all my wonderful Worldly friends!

Love and hugs,

Good morning chicks,

We are in the throws of a southern summer. Came all of a sudden too. The rain went away and the heat came in with a blast. 98 today, upper 90's all weekend with heat indexes over 104 degrees. I told DH to get that pool ready cuz I'm jumping in this weekend!

Mel, glad you had a quiet week. I got your spot all set up for you outside. You can be on "frog watch"

Shad, glad to hear you are going home. Did they transfer you or are you done with this horrid assignment? You sound more relaxed already.

Michelle - rain, rain go AWAY! Between rain and snow you sure are getting the precipitation out there. Hope it dries up enough to get some good fishin' in.

Annie, don't get too mad at Tony - sounds like he tries to accomodate everyone, sometimes at his own expense. That's super sweet that he helped you out with the car.

Ceejay - what are you doing to keep cool?

 Jolly, Patty.

Gotta get the work day done with, see yahs later.

GOOD MORNING CHICKIES.....

ONE MAJOR HEADACHE TODAY. COLORED MY GFS HAIR LAST NIGHT AND DRANK TWO VODKA & TONICS. IT MUST BE THE REASON, ALONG WITH THE HUMIDITY BEING A BILLION.

MS. CHELLE....WE MUST BE IN THE SAME STORM ALLEY, AS WE HAVE HAD DOOZY STORMS WITH LIGHTENING HITTING HOUSES AND BURNING THEM OR JUST DESTROYING THE SIDING. JUNE IS ALWAY TURBULANT HERE. I KNOW THIS AS IT IS MY BIRTHDAY MONTH AND IT IS ALWAYS SOGGY. TAKE HER EASY WITH THE LEG, MY FRIEND. DON'T WANT YOU IN PERMANENT PAIN.

MEL...FATHER'S DAY. SAMANTHA GETS ME FATHER'S DAY CARDS ALSO. SHE SAID I AM THE BEST FATHER/MOTHER A KID COULD HAVE. SHE ALSO WANTS ME TO WALK HER DOWN THE AISLE SHOULD SHE EVER GET MARRIED. SHE IS KIND OF SOUR ON MARRIAGE WHEN THE LIVE IN THING IS WORK SO GRAND. THANKS TO MY EX-B*STARD HUB.

SHAD...YES! YES! YES! HOMEWARD BOUND. DO ENJOY YOUR TIME AT HOME, YOU NEED IT AND DERSVE IT. DO WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO BEST, THE H*LL WITH EVERYTHING ELSE.

HAPPY....DRINK SOME MARGARITAS FOR ME WHILE POOLSIDE. IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE HOT AND HUMID HERE TOO. 90 AND HUMID. MAKES A PERSON MELT UNLESS THEY ARE POOLSIDE. MAY HAVE TO COME JOIN YOU, MY DEAR.

CEEJAY...HAVE A GREAT TIME AT THE UNCLES. SAFE TRAVELS, MY FRIEND.

CAR DID NOT GET FIXED YESTERDAY. THEY HAD TO ORDER THE WS MOTOR. PRAY MY DRIVING TIME IS ALWAYS DRY! THANK GOD FOR RAINEX. SO FAR I HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY LUCKY. RAINS WHILE I AM AT WORK OR DURING THE NIGHT. THE TOTAL BILL MAY COME IN JUST UNDER 300 BUCKS RATHER THAN 350.00. DOES THAT MEAN I GET THE EXTRA 50 OR IT TONY BENEFITS FROM IT. LOL ITS A GAMBLE HE WILL HAVE TO TAKE. (VEGAS JOKE);)

THANK GOD I DON'T HAVE A LANDLINE ANYMORE, ALL THESE CREDITORS CAN NO LONGER CALL AND BOTHER ME. HAHA. I AM ONLY LIKE 15 DAYS LATE ON EVERYTHING-I KNOW IT DOES NOT DO MY CREDIT ANY GOOD, BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS, AND THE CREDITORS SHOULD BE GLAD THEY GET PAID AT ALL, CONSIDERING ALL THOSE YOU DON'T PAY AT ALL.

HOPE TO GET MY GRASS CUT THIS WEEKEND, AND IF THERE IS ANY SUN, SPEND SOME TIME OUT IN IT. NOT MUCH ON THE AGENDA THIS WEEKEND. BROTHER'S BAND DOESN'T PLAY AGAIN TILL JULY 11. PLAN TO GO BY MOM/DAD'S FOR PAPA DAY AND TAKE HIM A GIFT. ALSO MAKE HIM HIS FAVORITE PINEAPPLE UPSIDE CAKE TO TAKE HIM.

HAVE A MARVELOUS WEEKEND ALL, DON'T KNOW IF I WILL BE BACK HERE TIL MONDAY. DEPENDS HOW BORED I GET AT HOME AND PLAY ON THE INTERNET.

Today seems like Saturday to me.
My trip to my uncles was good. My sister from Missouri called and wants me to come for a visit in August. My nephew's wife is under study for Cathy Rigby in the Peter Pan production that is playing in Branson. Can't wait.

Happy
As long as the air condition doesn't konk out I'll be fine. But it has turned off HOT and HUMID.
I may have to work overtime to payfor the electric bill.

Annie
Don't be to hard on Tony. He might not be ready for family yet.
Be careful driving to ST Louis.

Shad
I'm confused too. Are you going home for the week end or is the job ending? Enjoy your time.

Mel
I't s great that Jen get's you something for Father's day.

Have I missed Jolly's post?

Patty
I'll be coming to Texas in a couple of weeks, July 8-July 13.

Morning all,
Just realised I didn't post yesterday, and figured y'all might be wondering if I did get home or not.
Yes I am here and going back late tonight. Short visit but well worth the bucks - I begin to feel human again. We're installing a new loo. It means that we had to take the old one out, lift the old tiles off the floor, and the row of tiles around the walls, then relay new tiles and the back wall of tiles to install the new one. Naturally enough everything takes longer than anticipated. DS2 worked on the clearing of old tiles last weekend and relaying the new. I'm not entirely excited about his choice of new tiles, but the floor is done. Nothing I can do about it now. He installed the pan of the new loo but we have to get the back wall done before we can install the cistern. So it's a bit like camping just now. No flush. Just a big bucket of water to move things along so to speak..... and speaking of that it is my turn today to fill the flushing bucket with water. Anyway. I should get some of the tiles on today. Not grout but at least tile. Then DS2 can put in the cistern. We will be legal and convenient again. You don't realise how much you need it until you don't have a working model!

Forgive me but I won't do personals at the moment, time to get on with the day. All that dust from lifting tiles - not to mention finding bits of tiles in some very unlikely places - like embedded in the wall. Today will be a full day. So my relaxation period of yesterday is over.

GLAD YOU ARE FEELING BETTER AND ALSO THAT THE TOILET WILL BE FLUSHING ANY MINUTE NOW!! Morning all,
Don't cry Mel. All else fails I can go to KFC, Macca's or the mall and get flushed there! It's inconvenient but not life threatening. Every house should have two!!!!

So I am back in Sydney. Very tired as I didn't get in till after 11pm and it took a while to get to sleep, but it will be fine. I can sleep through class today. Oh no I can't. My 'second' is a nice Sri Lankan bloke, unfortunately his language is a bit of a problem. It takes a while for the cogs to whir around. So I'd better not go back to sleep. It'll be an early night tonight.

Better get on with the day. Back later.

Hidee Ho Worldlies.........

Shad...speaking of the loo, had the dangest gut and tummy ache this morning and was in the loo here at work for about 20 minutes. It is a bit better now, but still feel it churning away. Let me know if you need me to come break in your new pot!

MEL...You can come to my house and make meatloaves...I am with you...I absolutely love, love, love meatloaf. You are one cookin' hot wench. lol

Had a great weekend with DD. Her boyfriend is in California on work assignment for 2 weeks, which means it is mommie and me time. lol. We laid out at the pool for 3 hours on Saturday, grilled out chicken and baked potatos, went to the movies and saw Night at the Museum, Smithsoniaum (sp), which was not that great, don't waste your $$. Was home and passed out in bed by 9:00 pm. Got up Sunday morning, DD took me to breakfast for Father's day, then went to my mom and dad's for a visit, came home, cut the grass, then Mr. Tony came over for dinner. For not having a planned out weekend, it sure was a busy one. Oh and baked a pineapple upside down cake to take to dad for father's day. It was still warm when I gave it to him, he just wanted a fork to eat it. For pity sake it was a 9x13 cake. Can you say OINK....

Back at it this morning, was a little concerned about driving to work without wipers as it was raining gangbusters when I got up this morning. It took a lull in action so I beelined it to work before the next pour. I win!!

Hey to everyone. Have a great start to the week.

Love and Hugs

Happy Monday ladies -

Had a great weekend with DMIL. We went and saw Hello Dolly on Friday night and had a wonderful time. I didn't know this before, but my next door neighbors' daughter had a role in the chorus, and my dance instructor at the Y's son had a rather large role. The entire cast gave a great performance!

We had gorgeous summer weather for the weekend. Saturday was a relaxing day, and yesterday we spent all morning and half the afternoon fishing. We didn't catch much - DH caught a nice sized bass and that was about it, but it was a lovely day to be out on the water...not too hot, birds singing. We saw ducks, geese and all kinds of other birds, a beaver and turtles. So cute! It doesn't matter if I catch fish...I just enjoy taking in the scenery. BTW, my back did pretty well all weekend. Yay! I'm still going for the MRI after work today though and seeing a neurosurgeon on Wednesday to see if he thinks there might be some reason why I can't walk for very long without pain.

Happy - Do you have room poolside for one more? That sounds so lovely! Of course, upper 90s and humid doesn't sound quite as nice...but so nice that you have the pool to cool off in. It was mid-80s and very humid on Saturday, which was a little warm for this chick. I tried to buy a bathing suit this weekend, but all I could find were two pieces, and I want a one piece so I can do water aerobics. Even though the 2 piece tankinis offer good coverage, I kept thinking, would it stay down while I was jumping up and down or would I be exposing my big belly (or other parts) as I did the water aerobics. No thanks...not until I'm 75 pounds thinner or so. I just checked Lane Bryant - $100 for a bathing suit? :yikes: You've got to be kidding me!

Annie - Sorry about your tummy ache. Glad you're having a great time with your DD, and a fun, busy weekend! Glad you made it to work okay. How long before the repair shop gets the motor?

Ceejay - Glad you had a good time with the uncles! So cool that you'll be going to Texas in a couple weeks...do you think you and Patty will get a chance to get together? How fun to go visiting your sister and her family in August. So need that your nephew's wife is understudying for Cathy Rigby. You definitely have a fun summer planned!

Mel - As for summer goals...here are mine: (1) get my back better; (2) catch lots of fish; (3) be in One-derland by my birthday (early September). Good for you for doing all that cooking. I don't like cooking much, but I like making make-ahead and freeze meals. I made a meatloaf for dinner last night, and it was YUMMY! Mmmmm. We had that, with a little bit of mashed potatoes, and lots of veggies. As for the fireman, doesn't it depend on what he looks like whether he'd cool you down or heat you up more?

Shad - You don't rest much do you? After a stressful week, you spend your off time remodeling your loo! I'm sure it will be great when it's done. I hope your week in Sydney goes much better than last week (or the weeks before that). Hang in there. I'd love to see the photos.

Happy/Mel - Could you please post the address to Shad's webshots? Thanks.

Jolly - I hope you had a good weekend and that things are going well.

Patty - Did you do anything fun this weekend? How is Blackie doing?

Well, I'd really better get to work!

Here's to a wonderful day for all us Worldlies!

Love and big hugs,

So I'm leaving work in an hour to go get an MRI. And then on Wednesday, I've got an appt with a neurosurgeon who will hopefully be able to tell me what I can do so I can walk for 15 minutes or more without pain. I'm looking forward to feeling better, getting fit and putting all this behind me. Yay! :)

annie175
06-22-2009, 03:19 PM
Ms. Chelle....Hope all goes well with the MRI and finding out what the heck is going on with the walking pain. It's crazy. The shop got my part in for car and took it over at lunch for the fix. It came to 290.18 instead of 358.00 or whatever that quote was. Saved about 68 bucks on the labor, I was crying the blues to them about the money and that I was on my lunch hour, so they needed to speed up the process. Instead of it taking 2 hours to replace it took .80 of an hour. Makes me wonder on their labor charges. Anyway, I HAVE WIPERS!!!

MEL...Enjoy the sunshine...even at 90 and humid, I am NOT complaining, as I so clearly remember the snowy days of winter past. YUCK!!

Can't get to the webshots here at work. They have it blocked out. Whatever...I will have to try tonight the see the pix.

Love and Hugs

Annie - I'm SOOOO glad that you have wipers now and that it didn't cost as much as the original quote. Yay! And you're right....90 and humid is MUCH better than shoveling snow and a 40 below windchill. BRRRRRRR. I'll quit my b***hing about the heat and humidity! Thanks for giving me a dose of reality check!

Hope the mri goes well.

Shad
I agree that all houses should have two loo's. Hope things are going better for you at work.

Mel
I love meatloaf also. I may just bake one this week end.

Our refrigerator at work is on the blink now. And yes the internet is still out of whack. I've brought my laptop again this week.

It's very hot today at 97 degree's. Please don't let the a.c. go down. We are on curtailment this afternoon. Some one told me the generators we being sold and that we would not be on curtailment any more. At least one generator is running now.

Guess I need to go get my last bit of things done before I go home.

Hello Ladies -

Had a wonderful weekend. Went over to Mom and Dad's for Father's Day. My brother and his family also came in, plus my 2 sisters and there families. It was more like a Father's Day Weekend. Ate way to much..

Ceejay - we'll definitely have to get together one day. Lunch, or whatever.. just something indoors.. The heat is terrible... suppose to hit 100 this week.

Annie - I'm glad you go the wipers fixed at a lower rate. We have to keep our vehicles maintained... safety first...

Mitchellez - I hope they find something (VERY Minor) when they do the MRI. I know the feeling, it's soo frustrating...

Mel & Shad - hope all is going well.

It's a Terrific Tuesday ladies -

The sun is shining, and it's WARM already. It's supposed to be in the 90s and humid today. Thank goodness for AC (at work, at home, at the gym and in the car). I had a great workout at the gym last night. Gosh, I just LOVE going to the gym and getting a good workout/sweat going and all those endorphins! Wheeeee! Then I come home and feel SOOOO relaxed and at the same time energized. I'm looking forward to hitting the gym tonight too. The MRI went well, and they gave me copies of the films...not that I can read them or anything. But I'll take them to my neurosurgeon appt tomorrow. And the neurosurgeon, physical therapist and my regular doctor are all going to get copies of the radiologist's report. Hopefully, we'll have answers by the end of the week! Yippee!!!

Shad - I can see the other albums...just not the Sydney one. I'll check out all your photos when I have a bit more time.

Annie - The days are flying by. Hard to believe June is almost over. I'm so looking forward to next week though. We have Friday the 3rd off, and I'm taking the 2nd to have an extra long weekend! Woooo Hoooo!

Patty - Sounds like you had a great Father's Day with the family! How fun! What a great reunion!!

A big  to Mel, Happy, Ruth, Jolly and everyone else!

Lots of love and hugs,

Guten Morgan (SP) German for good morning........

It is 95, hot and humid today, and yes, thank you Jesus for air conditioning. Of course, no rain in sight, why you ask.....BECAUSE MY FREAKIN WINDSHIELD WIPERS WORK!!!! ROFLMAO....at least I am laughing about it now.

Tony called me at 6 this morning and said the plant was on fire. There were about 10 fire trucks etc. He called back and said one of the hoppers with magnesium in it was on fire, however they got the hopper out of the plant and contained the fire to the hopper only. No one injured and everyone is at work, working today. That is scary. Magnesium fire can only be put out with chemicals, not water. So it could of been a bad one. Again, thank you Lord for looking out after all those workers, especially my Tony.

Hella Bella is spending some time with my DD this week. It is kind of weird being at the house completely by myself. No Hella...I keep looking for her when I walk into the house or drop food on the kitchen floor. I actually have to clean up the entire mess instead of just the licked up spot. lol.

Ms Chelle....Wow, I need some of your good mood, motivation vibes sent my way. You are on a roll and it sounds like you are getting better and better every day with the back issues.

Shad...I couldn't see Sydney either. But I did look at your other albums....you should go into photography professionally. Is there anything you cannot do. You totally amaze me girl.

Patty...sounds like you had a great father's day, more like a family reunion instead. What fun!!

Ceejay....too hot to be without air, hope all goes well and you don't have to experience that one.

MEL....wake up sista...time to rock and roll....

Not much else going on.

Hello to all, have a great Tuesday.

Good morning ladies,

Sorry I haven't been around. I was working last Friday to prepare for a meeting for the homeowners assn when I came across an email in our general assn email box. There has been some controversy over a proposed development adjacent to our subdivision. The vast majority of people don't care about it or if they spoke up, expressed concerns about traffic and such that we (the officers) have relayed to the development group or the town when our president addressed one commission. One homeowner is vigoursly opposed to the development and insists we must fight it. We said we have to represent the majority opinion and he's not happy with that. We have tried to assemble people to give everyone a chance to speak and I was working on setting up our 4th such meeting Friday. I did not realize that this whole subject was getting so out of hand but I had noticed a change in some people's demeanor recently. They weren't as friendly as before and I sensed something was off but I didn't know what. This email sort of confirmed my suspicions. Turns out people are wagging their tongues about us, saying things that aren't true and it appears that what we have said has been twisted to support certain people's positions. I was deeply hurt - not only have I put in an inordinate amount of time and effort into this stupid organization but I think I was more hurt that no one (even people I thought were friends) would come to me and talk about it. Instead they would talk to others about me. It was a very emotional and disruptive weekend for me. In the end, 3 of the 4 officers resigned immediately. I have enough garbage in my life, don't need this at all. I got a very important lesson in how people think down here and I now know what it means when people joke about being a Yankee over a Southerner. DH and I quit all activities and we will go back to minding our business and keeping to ourselves.

I haven't been on 3FC so I need to read and catch up. Will try and get back tonight. Hope you are all staying cool - it's going to be 100 degrees here again with a heat index of 110. The pool water is warm and wonderful. Been swimming in it the last 2 days. Take care

Annie - Sending good mood, motivation and :goodvibes: your way! I've got plenty to spare! How scary about the fire at Tony's plant! Glad to hear no one was hurt. I know what you mean about missing doggie powered cleaning system. I've got a triple "motor" Schnauzer vacuum cleaning system. Food doesn't stay on the floor very long in our house. Take care in the heat and stay cool. (of course, you're always a super cool chick!)

Happy - What a pain in the arse your homeowners assn has turned out to be, and what catty, back-stabbing people. Sheesh. I thought Southerners were supposed to be nice and respectful and polite. Good for you and DH for leaving that negativity and BS in the dust. Now you and DH have more time to enjoy your life. Stay cool and enjoy your beautiful yard and the pool! :swim:

Morning all,

Michelle - sorry did not get to the website last night. It would seem that I have left the album private. I usually do until I get it looking the way I want it and then turn it loose on the population. I do love taking photos, but you will notice there are very few people in them.

Annie - glad you enjoyed a trip with me. Hope you go back for some more later. I'll make an attempt to get to the website tonight, but I can't get to it from work. So I have to go to the internet cafe. That means I should ensure that I have enough things to do on it since I have to pay for it.

Happy - what can I say. I'm so sorry for all the bullsh*t you've had to go through. What a bunch of galahs. I understand your pain.

And I had better go and sort out my thoughts for today. The last couple days have been much better than previously and it is nearly the end of the contract. Wouldn't you know it!!!

I do???? :chin: Okay - I'll accept that I do have the tazer in the closet. Should have thought of that a couple of weeks back.

Oh and I started to think about a white Christmas. BUZZARDS. I can get to Nth America up to and including the 9th of December on a special for around $1000AUD. That's a return ticket, so I have to be back in Aus by 9th December. From 9th December till into Jan, the price rockets up to around $3800AUD. And that only gets me to LA, SF or Vancouver. It's dearer for Vancouver (nearly $4000). Christmas may be delayed if I can find something better for January or February.

Hello ladies,

Boss invited us to a cook out tonight. It's her softball team. DH and I went to the store to pick up some potato chips (crisps), beer and ice. DH was using his car key to poke a hole in the ice bag. Set his keys down and dumped the ice in cooler. He shut the trunk and I pushed the carriage to the bin. Came back and the door was locked. I said, can you unlock my side please? He said "can't - locked the keys in the trunk". We were 2 miles from home and it's 97 degrees outside and blazing hot. DH was about to start to walk home to get my car. I ALMOST didn't take my purse tonight. But I felt so naked without it, I grabbed it at the last minute. Good thing because otherwise we would have had to break into DH's car if I didn't have house keys in my purse. He was going to walk home and I said that's inviting heat stroke. I was trying to think whom I could call for a ride. Not my loving neighbors ;) not that I had any of their numbers anyway. My friend who lives a few miles away is travelling on business. We were finally able to get a taxi which cost $13 for a 2 mile trip. But we picked up my car, drove it back and picked up DH. We got to the picnic an hour and a half after it started. But by then the grill was hot and the bratwurst sausage and hot dogs were just about ready for us. Um Um Um. The winds picked up with a storm in Mississippi and it gave us the best breeze. Didn't get cool but kept us comfy. We had a nice time. Only regret was that I didn't get to swim today. Now if I could get myself up at 5am, I could have a nice morning swim as the water is warm enough to do so. Maybe if I get to bed shortly.

Thank you for your sympathy on my situation. After talking to some people at work, I now know that I totally did not understand that things are different down here culture-wise. I should have never gotten involved because it never would have worked out. But now I am wiser and got to enjoy beer and bratwurst tonight instead preparing for yet another meeting tomorrow. :D

Shad's got a taser? I thought she was just the queen of stern looks! Shad, I just don't understand. If you're putting on a jumper when it's 72 degrees F, HOW will you handle a white Christmas? I imagine Victoria is pretty at Christmastime. Michelle can tell you about SF - no snowy Christmas there. Certainly not south in LA either. Prices would be jacked up around our Thanksgiving holiday which is November 26 and 27. Lodging and travel will go up as Thanksgiving is the most heavily travelled holiday in the states. If you came in the spring, maybe DH and I could meet you up in Butchart. Not sure I want to go there in the winter tho. Not enough to see.

Thank you for defending my honor Mel. I'm sure you'd give them a good east coast earful. We'd have to call the firemen to put the flames out  What did you have for supper? Some of that meatloaf? Trade you for a smoothie. Froggies have been asking about you by the pool. I told them you said you'd come when you are good and ready and that I'd have to stock up on the DVD movies

Annie - I'm so glad to hear that Tony is all right. Sometimes we complain about our jobs but don't realize how scary it can be for some people. Isn't it funny how when the house is full you go to the bathroom to get a minute to yourself and when you do have the place to yourself, after 24 hours you are missing everyone  Had a good laugh about the lack of rain and fixed windshield wipers. Isn't that the case? But Rainex will work in a pinch, as long as it's not raining too hard. Glad you got wipers again. You miss them even if it's just to clean your windows.

Michelle - fingers and toes crossed and prayers and good karma or whatever it takes to get you feeling good again. :crossed: Hope you get good news from the doctor. You ALMOST have me convinced to try those endorphins ;) but I would feel that way only if I did a morning workout. Hooray for long weekends! Like Annie said - can't believe half the year is over already.

Patty - sounds like you had a very nice family get together. Good to see everyone. Hard to resist all that yummy homemade food!

Wow Ceejay - can't believe you are still without internet at work! I guess those storms were pretty devistating. I was thinking of you with it being so hot. Is it hot in the plant for you? I know you aren't in the office all day long.

I just went out to let the cat out. The tree frogs are singing "where's Mel? Where's MEL???" Also for some reason the spiders seem to like to weave very long webs at night. I try not to think too hard as I pass through them. Several times. All over the yard

I think I'm off to bed now. Nighty night and sweet dreams all. Even you Shad - day dreams of going home and finishing this stint

Well I have been in and changed it and yes I did lock it and make it private. Seem dementia is setting in!!!

Happy - I was talking to Carla and Ruth when I was there about 2 years ago (and yes it was two years back - almost to the day) that I have yet to have a white Christmas. Ruth informs me that they do not always have snow for Christmas, in fact her words were that it is not allowed to snow before Christmas. Yep, well she can have the words with Mother Nature, not me. Anyway, since it is almost time I travelled again, I looked into the possibility, however it isn't much of a possibility and I may very well think about Spring. I must consult with my travelling companion and see if she is up to travelling again, although she hasn't had much work coming her way so maybe she prefers to spend what she has on the mortgage.

Oh yes and the news of the day is that I have been extended for another two weeks. I told the woman with whom I am working to get the doco done. She's providing the information, it's my job to collate it. Anyway she collapsed on the floor laughing. :?: She reckons it will take two weeks just to get a couple of the interfaces working properly. Today, the dreaded bug got to the Inventory system and it was batching pallets instead of products. Aaaah well - they both start with P and who ever said an interface was clever???

I AM GLAD YOU HAD THE KEYS IN THE BAG...WHAT A PAIN OTHERWISE!! I AM GLAD YOU FEEL BETTER HAVING TALKED TO CO-WORKERS. YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT FOR IGNORANT PEOPLE THE YEAR 2009 HOLDS NO MEANING NO MATTER WHAT TOWN THEY LIVE IN

Mel - sending some sun (and hot sun at that) your way. :sunny: Just hope I'm not sending storm clouds from Mississippi too  Can't do the incense thing - makes me wheeze. Maybe I'll just go from room to room chanting bugaboo buggaboo. You posted several good chicken recipes - with it on sale, maybe you can make a few and freeze ahead.

Guess it's good they extended you Shad - never say no to extra money. I think if you want a white Christmas you need to head to Michelle's place. Last 2 years they really got dumped on with snow - that is of course, until you show up. Hard to believe Ruth doesn't have snow for sure in the great frozen north. You could always head to the ski resorts in Colorado - if they don't have it naturally, they make it. And Mt. Ranier in Washington state - a next door neighbor to Vancouver has snow starting in September. However they close the mountain pass about that time too so you can just look from afar.

Time to get my keester busy. See yah later. Love to the chicks! :grouphug:

Happy Wednesday ladies -

Shuuu-weeee, it is HOT and muggy. But I'm not gonna complain as I remember all too well that the long, cold snowy winter wasn't that long ago and will return all too quickly.

Had a great workout at the gym yesterday!! They had the AC on and fans, but it was still a bit warm once I got going...so I only did about 35 rather than 45 minutes of cardio, followed by stretching. I stopped at the store on the way home and picked up lots of fresh veggies and salad fixins. Tomatoes were on sale for 99 cents a lb, so I got a lot of those. Not as good as home grown, but with the late spring, it'll be awhile before I can harvest tomatoes. I put some of the store bought tomatoes in with FF cottage cheese for breakfast today and also some in a salad to go with a sandwich for lunch. I'm really doing well on getting my water in and at least 4 servings of veggies a day.

And I'm loving getting back into exercising. Don't know if I'll get to the gym tonight, it will depend on how I'm feeling after the appt with the neurosurgeon. Hopefully, between the MRI films and report from the radiologist he'll be able to figure out why I can't walk for more than 10 minutes without pain. DH and I looked again at the MRI films last night and noticed how clear the images were. Yay! Hopefully, the neurosurgeon will be able to determine what's going on. :)

Thanks so much to all of you wonderful women for your kind, caring thoughts and good wishes! I'm feeling very hopeful and upbeat that I will soon have the answers and a "cure"/fix for my back pain. :)

Shad - A tazer and a cattle prod in the closet, huh? Good to know. Hopefully, I won't need to borrow them, but just in case...good to know where they're stored and charged. Thanks for making the Sydney photos public. They are gorgeous! Really, you should become a professional photographer or submit your photos to travel magazines. You are very talented. I loved the photo of the sunlight streaming through the clouds, and the photo of the Opera House in the morning and how it was lit up at night! Awesome photos of the convict ship event too. Extending your contract for two weeks? Well, I'm glad the situation is improving. Although batching pallets instead of products sounds like quite a major bug. Hopefully, it will be smooth sailing through to the finish. As for SF at Christmas time...temps are in the 60s usually (sometimes down to the 40s or 50s early morning/late night)...sometimes rainy, sometimes sunny, sometimes foggy. We pretty much are assured of a white Christmas and sometimes even a white Thanksgiving, and a white New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, St. Patty's Day, and Easter....are you seeing a pattern here?!

Happy - What a hassle with the locked keys. At least you made it to the cookout in time for dinner. Are the brats (bratwurst) there as good as up here in Wisconsin? Mmmmm...I love me a good grilled brat that's soaked in a beer and onion "bath" and smothered with sauerkraut! I did not know that in terms of people and culture things would be so different down there. I always equate Southern with friendly, hospitality...but maybe it's more like "old boys club" and "clique-ish". Sorry you had to find out the hard way. You are so kind and giving and you care so much, you don't deserve the shoddy treatment you got by your so-called friends and neighbors. I can't totally see you going from room to room chanting bugaboo bugaboo and the odd looks your DH would give you!

Mel - you had a busy day yesterday! Sheesh! Don't overdo it in the office. Make sure you take time for Mel (and the grandson), okay?

A big  to Jolly, Annie, Patty, Ruth and everyone!

Lots of love and big hugs to all,

annie175

Good Morning..Hump Day is Here Again...see how fast it came around. I swear, blink the eyes and another week has gone by. Yikes...

I have one h*ll of a yeast infection, I think with the surgery discharge stuff, and the extreme sex fest Tony and I had last Friday night, all h*ll broke loose down there. My doc called in the one tablet med for it, I have to pick it up tonight. I can barely sit. Owie it's awful.

Meeting a friend from last job for lunch today. I have two free lunches/drinks at Paradise Cafe' so we are going there. Yum!!

Tony and I are going to Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 18, I hope like heck it isn't 95 degrees and smoltering. Don't really want to go on a Saturday, however we are both saving our vaca days for our two week California Bike trip in July 2010. That was Tony's idea...hmmmmm, that is a year out in the future. Look's like he sees us as long term. hehe.

Made homemade pizza dough in bread maker and assembled a pizza for dinner tonight. Tony and DD are coming over for dinner. The Za is loaded with pepperoni, italian sausage, maple sausage, onion, green pepper, red pepper, banana peppers, jalapenos, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses and mushrooms. I also harvested spinach and mixed lettuces from the garden for a salad. I am very excited about my masterpieces....lol Kroger has the most beautiful, tasty red, orange and yellow peppers for a buck a piece.

Happy....man, locking the keys in the trunk brings back a memory for me. The ex and I took separate cars to a softball tournament for DD about 3 hours away from home. ex was in my trunk getting stuff out and laid his keys in the trunk, forgot all about it, I shut my trunk and headed home. He stayed back with DS to have breakfast. Meanwhile I am driving home, cell is not getting signal, and get all the way home before the call comes through that his keys are in my trunk. He ended up just putting a new starter on the jeep to get home. See the ex was an idiot from way back. lol

Shad...probably won't get the chance to see the website til tomorrow night, but can't wait. You do good work. Hmmmm, extension on the contract, please leave tazer and cattle prod at home. Indiana has white Christmas every so often, mostly the week before or after it snows. You are more than welcome to come stay at my house. It is just me and Hella Bella, two empty bedrooms. It would be fun.

MEL...sheesh, talk about hot and humid. It is supposed to be 97 degrees and the same humidity. Of course, no rain in sight, my wipers are fixed. Maybe I should take my car to the car wash and run the wipers, and a clean car always gaurantees rain. Get out of your cloudy/foggy state of mind, as I have lived there for enough in the past couple of weeks for both of us. Now move it.

Ms. Chelle...can't wait to hear what the docs have to say. Hope it is an easy fix. I love home grown tomatos, I have lots and lots of blossoms on my vines but no little mators yet. I do have a few peppers coming on tho. Everything is growing nicely, just need the fruit to start up. I need to drink more water also, especially with this hot humid weather. Do I smell a challenge??

Guess I have babbled enough, hi to all the rest of the chicks too!

Much love and many hugs,

diyana

Annie - I hope your infection goes away soon. Those as so uncomfortable. Maybe a couple drinks at the Paradise Cafe will help you forget about it. Kings Bay looks like a fun place. Have you been to Sandusky, OH? I've heard they have great parks there too. Planning a vaca for next year? Sounds like Tony is thinking long term! Nice! The pizza sounds delish! Mmmmm. I keep forgetting to harvest my lettuce...hopefully it won't go to bolt too soon. Red peppers for a buck? What a great deal!

Sure Happy It's Thursday!!

I had such an awesome day yesterday! Not only did I learn that I lost 4 lbs during the week, I went to see the neurosurgeon after work and was very impressed with him. He's kind, caring and brilliant. Sorry, Mel, I don't know if he's single.

My neurosurgeon said there are a couple issues that showed up on my MRI (so glad I had it done finally). One is with my sacroilliac (SI) joint, and the other is with a disc in the sacrum (S1) and also the lumbar (L5) disc. He said there's a couple things they can try to get me pain free. First, he referred me to a specialist who can perform a procedure where they use radiofrequency (electrical current) to deaden the nerves in my SI joint. This typically relieves pain for at least a year, is minimally invasive and is no more risky than getting an injection. I remember my Sports Med doc saying something about the radiofrequency procedure, but he never followed through with it.

The neurosurgeon also said if that does not relieve the pain, he can perform an equally minimally invasive and minimal risk procedure in the area of the discs. I was so very happy to learn that there is something that can be done for my pain and that I will likely be able to walk, hike, etc. again in the very near future!! Yay!!! It's amazing how a bit of hope can make a good day sooo much better!!

I hope everyone is doing well! I so very much appreciate your friendship, caring and support!

Wowser Chelle...there is light at the end of the tunnel. Soon your back will be marvelous and there will be no holding you back. Great news about the 4 lbs lost, I think I found them, holy crap I was up to 159 this morning and feel like a cow. Also fell back into old habits...ate to make me feel better...not....I ate a cinnamon roll and now my tummy hurts and I feel like crap. I could literally puke.

I think I am going to go sit on the commode for a spell. Will check in later ladies.....

Mornin' chicks!

:yay: :congrat: Michelle on losing the 4 pounds! Great job. I can hear the enthusiam is back in your spirit again. And that's such good news about the doctor. Never heard of that kind of procedure but I sure do hope it will help you along. FINALLY some answers! Just hold off on the cartwheels for a minute, ok?

Annie - your comment made me think of us all in a circle playing dodgeball with "weights" whomever gets "hit" picks up the extra pounds. Funny image. :D I guess we will always be tempted by food no matter what. And cinnamon buns not only look good but they SMELL so good. Then they sit like cement in the tummy. Hope you feel better. Glad you got something to make you smile (Dr. Holt) when you walk into the office each morning. How did your pizza come out - sounded delicious. Was making the dough hard? I was wondering about making my own too.

I got in an hour swim last night. It was wonderful. DH grilled up some steaks and they were amazing. We bought a food processor - DH was taken in by Wolfgang Puck on Home Shopping Network. I "made" a tossed salad in about 1 and a half minutes. Zip... brrr... slice... done. Even shredded the lettuce in it. It came out finely chopped like a birds nest but it was very good. We just had steak and salad - quite yummy and I have a small bit leftover for lunch.

Gotta run for now. Hello to the rest of the chicks, I'll check in later and catch up.

I am back and feeling a bit better...not a lot but a bit.

MEL...The yeast infection is getting better but still a bit..um..raw down there. Yikes. At least you only missed the bus, I think I have missed it all, train, plane and automobile. LOL

Chelle...thanks for the kick in the arse. I haven't been to Curves in a week now. I just haven't felt up to par of the evenings. Probably the bad eating habits of late, the weather, and my frame of mind lately.

Happy...the ZA dough is really easy, made in the bread maker. 3 cups of BREAD flour, not regular flour, 1/2 cup warm to hot water, 2 pks yeast, 1/2 t salt, 2 T. veggie oil. Put all in breadmaker, push the dough button and in 1 hour 15 minutes you have pizza dough. Ta Dah!

Howdie to all the girls!!

Morning all,
Will have to be quick again today since I am sitting in on a workshop and trying to learn my subject. Since not a lot of it works too well it could be a long process, however I have a least got the process flow fairly okay. Well it must be okay since the development team took it away as their guide to how things should work :?: WTF. If they don't understand how it works, then how the heck should I know.

Annie - hope you get rid of that infection soon. Nothing worse than wanting to scratch an itch where you shouldn't be scratching an itch.

Michelle - Congratulations on the 4lbs down. Well done you. And we can just here the enthusiasm for life creeping back in your posts. I'm glad to hear that the MRI has shown some positive feed back and that there is relief in sight.

Happy - You are right about the power of smell. It's so easy to get hooked in by a fragrance even when you know it is not good for you.

Okay - gotta go do somethings for the national psyche. Sorry about anyone I have missed. The weekend is almost upon us and I am staying here in town. I will be working for part of it, but certainly not all of it. If it is fine, I will be doing as much as possible from home at night. If not, then I might come to work. The system is certainly quicker here than there.

Howdy peeps,

Quick check in for me as I'd like to get to work a bit early today.

Thanks for the dough recipe Annie - I will be sure to try it. Dinner tonight is grilled pork chops with some kind of honey dijon sauce DH saw in a magazine. With it being 98 degrees, I don't even want hot food or much of it.

Shad - the more I see of what's going on with SAP at work, the more I roll my eyes. Such exhorbitant expenditures of money. Just push forward, don't stop to think. I don't envy you your job. Hope you get your doco finished.

I really need to pack my lunch and get out of here. Will try and get on at lunch time. Have a good one everybody. Stay cool. Except for Shad. How's the weather out your way?

I hope we don't get the slightly predicted storms this evening. I am enjoying swimming in the pool after work.

Happy Friday ladies -

I'm a bit tired today...hoping the caffeine kicks in soon. I went to the gym last night and both recumbent steppers were being used, so I did 1/2 hour on the recumbent bike, followed by 10 minutes of PT stretches and then 1/2 hour of strength training.

All the news is about Michael Jackson today. I'm gonna get on a :soapbox: for a minute here - he was a talented and influential musical artist; however, I lost a lot of respect for him after learning of his "odd" personal life. I understand he had a very troubled childhood that messed him up. I just disagree with the media's assertion that his passing is as devastating or impactful as the deaths of John Lennon or Princess Diana. IMHO, John Lennon's and Princess Di's deaths were immeasurably tragic; two beautiful souls taken far too soon. As for Farrah's death, I believe she was a brave, strong woman and while I am saddened that she passed away at least she is no longer suffering. As I have seen in my family and friends, living with cancer is a difficult, painful and often relentless struggle. Okay, I'll get off my :soapbox: now.

I have to call the insurance company again this morning to make sure that the doctor my neurosurgeon referred me to is covered...because when I look him up on the insurance website, he's not listed as an In Network Provider. If he's not In Network, then I will ask the neurosurgeon to recommend the "second best" doc as I don't want any surprises by going to a doc and THEN finding out that he's not covered by my insurance.

Mel - Sounds like you got quite a lot done yesterday! Good for you! I hope today and the weekend are a bit more relaxing. Don't forget to take some Mel time.

Annie - Glad to hear you're infection is getting better. Did you make it to Curves last night? Thanks for the dough recipe.

Shad - I hope you don't have to work too much over the weekend. Do you think you'll have time for some fun, relaxing activities?

Happy - Good for you for getting in your daily swims after work. What a lovely way to unwind, stay cool and burn some calories! YGG!

Love and hugs to all,

So I'm seeing him next Wednesday, and will hopefully have the first procedure done within a week or two after that! :crossed: And if the neuro and/or this other new doc can fix my back pain, they will come close to being "GODS" in my book (apologize if anyone is offended by the blasphemy - but it's how I'm feeling).

HAPPY FRIDAY - YAHOO........

MEL/CHELLE...ooooh that ryhmes...anyway I agree with you about Michael Jackson, and truthfully I am already sick of hearing about it. Was just talking with my musical brother about it and we were saying the same things. I believe Farrah made a better cause/impact with the cancer information and she is being so overshadowed by this whole MJ thing. Didn't make it to Curves last night was too busy with things around the house. I suck!

Shad....at least if you work from home you can enjoy an adult beverage to take the edge off. Try to enjoy your weekend.

Happy...yum pork chops. Sounds great, altho pork mostly does not agree with my little tummy pouch. Wish I had your pool in my backyard or I was there with you swimming. I will be the margaritas and little umbrellas to go in the glass. Could you get the limes? They don't travel well. lol

Going to a goodbye open house for a colleague after work. It is at my boss' house (President of Company). I hear the house is awesome and her backyard is the Bridgewater Golf Club. I have been asked to bartend. Hope they only want beer and wine, cause mostly I only know how to make margaritas. lol

Meeting Tony at my house at 8:00 pm. He doesn't know it yet, but he is taking me out to dinner. I am craving seafood. YUM. It is the least he can do as he leaves for Vegas Saturday night and won't be back till the 5th. (Remember cancelled St. Louie trip-altho I am still going)

Everyone have a marvelous Friday, and a great weekend! Hello to all the lurkers and the rest of the chickies.

Much love and many hugs,

There is no friend like the old friend, who has shared our morning days,
No greeting like his welcome, no homage like his praise:
Fame is the scentless sunflower, with gaudy crown of gold;
But friendship is the breathing rose, with sweets in every fold.

No time to write much. I have to get at least two modules of this course out by tomorrow, get them proofed and then printed. 22 copies no less before 9am Monday morning. System is so slow from home and I can't get the internet only the Intranet. So I've snuck out to do some shopping and dive into the internet cafe across the road.

Be back when I come up for air. The impossible I can do straight away. Miracles take a little longer and getting the half assed consultant to do more than flick through the slides is one of the almighty miracles. Pray for strength and guidance and hide the murder weapons - although I am pretty inventive so most things will do.

Crikey - no one been here all day. Must be busy with the weekend. And so it should be.

I started work this morning from home at 3.30am. Woke up with some inspiration and put it all down before it got away. I was still at it at 2.00pm when I rung my team lead - who told me to leave it, go out, get some fresh air and sunshine and come back to it later after she had taken a look at what was there. So I did. I've just spent a couple of hours in the Sydney Chinese Friendship garden and very nice is was too. I thought of Happy as all the little tadpoles and frogs came bouncing around the rocks. And I took some photos. Now I am about to go home, get some dinner, watch some tv and then sign on again and see if anyone has actually read what I have slaved over.
See you all tomorrow maybe

Good morning chicks (almost afternoon),

I cleaned up yesterday, even made a yummy slushy drink with fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh pineapple bits, maraschino cherries, lemon lime soda and amaretto but no one showed up. :( DH drank it for you and said it was delish. :hat: Pool water is almost 90 degrees. I swam for almost 2 hours until someone came next door to mow the god-awful yard (grass over 8 inches high, weeds even higher). He was weed wacking the mess with a gas powered wacker and the exhaust fumes were choking me up (not to mention the noise because unlike him, I didn't have noise proof ear muffs on). But at least the yard looks better. Don't know when the neighbors are moving back in but I hope it's soon as the house is a real mess.

Today is a day of catch up errands and I hope to get more swimming in while the sun is still out.

Shad - your post reminds me that I also need to do a bit of work tonight to help boss prep for a meeting tomorrow. Not too happy about it as you know, thinking you will spend and hour or two often sucks up the whole day. I am glad you got out to the gardens. Sounds like the perfect answer to calming the nerves.

Hi Mel - don't wear yourself out tomorrow covering for everyone! Thanks for the reminder for Nae. Loved the friends pic, I'm gonna copy it.

I'm going to say :bday2you: to you also today Nae because sometimes my morning posts are rushed.

Annie - hope the bartending went well - I can pour much better than mix too although I have a mean blender finger  Hope you had a nice dinner with Tony. Did you enjoy some seafood for me too? Yum, yum. :hungry:

Michelle - so glad to hear that your doctors are covered in your plan. Remember a time that we didn't have to worry about such things? Just knowing they have (hopefully) figured out the issues should put a spring in your step. Now they have to deliver!

As for all the hoopla about MJ. My opinion is that it's sad when anyone dies young. I feel bad that poor Farrah Fawcett was overshadowed even in death. All this over the top coverage about every inch of MJ's being I blame on the sad fact that our society has nothing important to care about other than celebrity. I wish that the news coverage would be more dedicated to stopping abuse of people and animals, taking a hard look at our wasteful ways and how we are destroying this planet or just some examples on how we can be kinder to one another and help each other through this life. And just maybe (this is the saddest thing of all) if the news is all about MJ, at least we're not talking about the latest killings, muggings and violence in this town and across the nation. Somewhere in the 80's after Michael Douglas uttered that famous line that "Greed is Good" we lost our perspective and priorities as a society... And as Forrest Gump said "that's all I'm gonna say about that...".

I need to get my keester moving so enjoy your Sunday ladies. Hello to Patty, Ceejay, Jolly and Nae.

Have a happy one. It is also my sister's birthday. I just rang her this morning to wish her a happy one. Her daughter (not my niece with the niecelet, the other one) has just got engaged. They've been together for nine years and finally decided it will work. Apparently the wedding will be 2011 - they must have to think about that one too!

I don't think I have the energy to go into personals just now. I really need to get back to work and see if I can salvage anything from this training stuff. Honestly they couldn't organise a p*ss up in a brewery if I bought along the glasses.

Be back later. Enjoy your weekend - what is left of it. Expect some pictures of the Chinese Gardens later in the week.

Hello Ladies,

Happy - I can totally relate. My neighbor after 19 years, just up and left the house. He got a 2nd mortgage, remarried moved out and daughter moved in. She couldn't keep up payments and he just left it... The yard is very high, every two week i call city so they can come mow it... I guess my tax dollars are at work. 90 degrees in pool... ouch that hot...

Mel - hope your enjoying your DVD weekend.

Annie - Hope your bartending went well. Is Tony going to Vegas for vacation or work?

Shad - we'll at least they are not rushing into it?

Rose - Happy Birthday! I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow.

Mitchellez & Ceejay - Hope your having a good weekend.

Patty - good to hear from you. Down here if you call the city and they do mowing or repairs, they put a lien on the house for the cost.

I guess it's really bad with so many houses in default now. People are just abandoning them. House around the corner from us has been for sale since before we moved here. Owners refuse the cut the price so it sits. Over 4 years now. Fence is falling over (and actually has in sections). What a mess. I imagine it stinks in there too being closed up for so long. Ick.

Happy Monday ladies -

DH, DMIL and I had a nice weekend. Saturday was spent mostly running errands in the morning and then relaxing in the afternoon. Yesterday, since it was too windy to go fishing, we went for a nice leisurely drive to Door County...a lovely peninsula in northeastern Wisconsin that extends into Lake Michigan. Along both coasts of the peninsula, the towns are very reminiscent of New England, and inland there are lovely farms and orchards. I had a hard time making healthy, low point choices in the restaurants where we stopped to eat...so thank goodness for the weekly flex points WW allows! I definitely have to behave myself the next 3 days, and make sure I get plenty of gym time in.

I'm SOOOOO glad this is only a 3 day work week for me. We have Friday off (since the 4th of July falls on Saturday), and our company is closing the corporate office on Thursday afternoon as a nice little perk for us. So I decided to take Thursday morning off as well - a whole day off for a 1/2 day of vacation?? I'll take it! Yippee!! Tick tock. Tick tock. That's me counting the hours 'till the weekend!

Nae - :bday2you: Wishing you a wonderful day!

Shad - Sorry that you had to work so hard on the weekend. Good for you for taking a relaxing visit to the gardens to unwind. I love the p*ss up expression! I'll have to remember that one. Congrats on the niece's engagement. Nothing wrong with a long courtship, especially when you're young. I got married (the first time) way too quickly and too young. Learning from my mistake, DH and I were together 5 years before we got married.

Patty - Too bad that you had to spend some of the weekend at work, but it is amazing what you can accomplish when no one else is around.

Happy - Are you now doing freelance docu work for cell phone companies? Or is it just for your mom? Seriously, that's very sweet of you to create a user manual that one can actually use and understand. You should offer it to the cell phone company for a fee! Wish I could join you in the pool. If Mel and Annie stopped by to pick me up, I must've been out of the house. :( 90 degree water, huh? Definitely don't have to tip toe into water that warm.

Annie - Hope you had a fun weekend! Did you have fun bartending? Was the seafood yummy?

I am here...just a very emotional, mental few days....

DD got bit by a dog...spent last evening in ER. All ok, gave her an antibiotic shot, tenus shot, and sent her home with a script for 875 mg Augmentin. High mgs but need it as dog bites are infectious.

Had my 6 wk surgery check up yesterday, not only do I have the cyst on he left ovary but also a fibriod right next to that. As a precaution doc had blood work done for ovarian cancer. CA125 test or something like that. That brightened my day...NOT.

Happy...I NEED time at your pool. Sorry we didn't make if for the delish drinks. THey sound yummy.

Shad...between your work woes and my health woes we are a mess.

Chelle...take er easy on the exercising girl, don't want to get back to step one with all that.

Nae..Happy belated birthay girl.,

MEL...maybe the natives will stay calm for the 4th holiday weekend??

Patty...Tony is in Vegas for pleasure with his parents and two half siblings.

Bartending was a blast. My boss' house is magnificent. Dinner with Tony was diasterous, we had are first real dissagreement of sorts to the point I was boohooing. We made up but it was tension filled evening. Men can be such butts sometimes.

I have felt like crap for several weeks and am tired of it. I have my 2 1/2 year bariatric check up today. I will mention it to the doc, but I know it is mostly my fault, eating things I shouldn't and drinking alcohol. I have been on the wagon of healthy eating and no alcohol since yesterday, not enough time to feel better yet. I suck.

I leave for St. Louis on Thursday, will be back on Sunday, don't know if I will be able to post during that time, probably not.

Hello to all,

Love and Hugs from the SICKO.....

diyana

Annie - You sure are having a rough time of it, girlfriend! It sucks that they found a cyst and fibroid on your ovary...are they going to do surgery to remove them? And I know it's scary, but I'm glad the doc ordered the blood work. Some docs are reluctant to order tests to rule things out. Bummer you and Tony spent the evening arguing, but remember he does sound like he's in it for the long term (planning the bike vaca next year and all). I think all relationships are bound to have their arguments and ups and downs...DH and I argue every now and then. Of course, I can't imagine Happy and her DH arguing...so I guess they are the exception. Glad to hear you're getting back to the healthy eating, Annie. You know you'll feel better for it. I hope DD's dog bite heals quickly. Those can suck, as can bad cat scratches/bites. Big  for you, my dear. I hope you have a great day at work and that your doctor appt goes well also.

Good morning chicks,

Lotta chaos this morning.

Annie - sounds like you are having a rough time  Hope DD will be all right as well as you. I hear that test is good. Would have to agree with you about feeling badly because you're not eating so great. I think it hits you twice as hard once you've been eating clean and then fall back again. I know it's hard with so many things going on but take a deep breath, shake it off and start back one tiny step at a time. As for Tony, sounds like the period of adjustment is over, not a bad thing, but sometimess the rosy starry eyed phase hides more than it helps. Now you find out the really important part - can you talk through your differences? Hope so!

Pool has cooled off 3 degrees because we had a cold front come throught. It was only 95 yesterday instead of 101. Pool is at 85 degrees and is a bit more cooled and refreshing. I only got a short swim yesterday - got home late and I helped DH with supper. I think we would all enjoy it (the pool) tho I would have to modify the pool to make it zero entry so Mel can drive right in and park it. :D

I'm glad you're still hitting the pedals Mel. Sounds like things have calmed down for you :crossed: hoping they stay that way.

Michelle - I have always wanted to visit Door County. We were planning a summer trip there the year I got transferred down here so it never happened :( Would be a pretty long trek now. I have a cousin who lives north of Hayward who invited us to visit anytime. Maybe someday we'll take a road trip. Yippee for nice long weekends! Glad you snagged one. Isn't Summerfest soon?

DH is going to send out Mom's cell phone today and I have some other items I ordered online that I want him to return (ordered 7 swimsuits from 3 different places before I found one I really liked). I need to make copies of the return paperwork and tape the packages up so I'd better get going.

 to Shad, Ceejay, Patty, Jolly, Nae. See yah later gator. :p

DH and I don't argue much - I'd rather to clear the air but he doesn't like it - says his dad argued enough for all of them. So we generally have one BIG HUGE argument a year and it's a doozy. Never fails, it's always somewhere between his birthday (Feb) and mine (Apr).

To Michelle's point, I think because we are humans and can think for ourselves, we don't always agree or see things from the other's point of view. So disagreeing is not always a bad thing. Very often afterwards, I am surprised (or he is) I NEVER knew you felt this way or that "X behavior" bothered you so much. It does help to get a person to understand if you keep it in context.

Now kiss and make up :D

Happy - You were able to find a nice looking swimsuit??? Where, girlfriend, where? Please tell me all 3 places you ordered from. Thanks!

As for Summerfest...yup, it's going on now. Started last Thursday and is going through this Sunday. For those who don't know...Summerfest is Milwaukee's 11-day music festival that runs from noon to midnight every day and has about 6 or 7 stages, with all kinds of different bands playing on each stage. For a $15 admission, you can walk around from stage to stage to see performers like Heart, Blondie, Joan Jett, Elvis Costello, Buckwheat Zydeco, Loverboy, all kinds of country, R&B, rock and hip hop bands (newer bands too...not just ones who have been around awhile). And then they have the main amphitheatre which has an extra admission charge and gets the big name acts: Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder/John Legend, Keith Urban/Counting Crows, etc. It's a great festival! We almost went and saw Heart last night, but DH was really tired after work. We might go this weekend to see either Lita Ford on Friday or Elvis Costello on Sunday. Good times.

Swimsuits...

This is one of the ones I kept. I love it. I like the connect up on the back ones because they are good for doing laps. I often have the straps slip when I'm swimming.

I'm trying to figure out where I got the other one I liked

that swimsuit is made very sturdy too.

I also ordered from www.justmysize.com but apparently it is blocked from work for being "R-RATED". Musta been those pics of bras. Hopefully you can get through. I ordered a cute suit from there but sent it back because it was too low cut for my tastes. When you have perky boobies that sit high and tight you can do low cut. Let's just say now that I can fill out my swimsuit, I don't want to show them off and neither does anyone else.

the other place was www.swimsuitsforall.com be sure to Google coupons for both places. There's 15% off swimsuits for all and the other places too. I don't see the swimsuit I bought from there - I think I got one of the last ones in that style but they have a big variety of stuff.

Hope you find something you like - happy shopping! :comp:

Cute suit Happy.

Only a Vitamin A deficiency according to blood work at bariatric doc. I already double that, now she wants me to triple it. She said a Vit A def, was very unusual. Leave it to me to have one. Sheesh.

Happy - The swimsuit you picked out is adorable! I'll look these websites over more the next couple days and this weekend. Did they ship/arrive in a reasonable timeframe?

Annie - So glad to hear that the bloodwork only showed a Vit. A deficiency.

Let's move on to a jubilant and joyous July (or whatever we're going to call it).

CAN THIS BE RIGHT?? ARE MY EYES DECEIVING ME?? I WAS THE LAST TO POST2 DAYS AGO?

WELL THE ONE GOOD THING IS THERE IS NOTHING TO READ!! MY EYES ARE A WEE BIT BURNING AND THROAT IS PRICKLING STILL AND A BIT NUMB/SORE AT THE SAME TIME. WE HAD AN EMERGENCY CALL, THE COP AND I RUSHED IN ONLY TO FIND THE TENANT SITTING WATCHING TV IN A RECLINER CHAIR WITH HER FEET U AND THE HOMEMAKER WASHING THE BATHROOM HAD PULLED THE CORD BY ACCIDENT. WHAT I FAILED TO NOTICE WAS THE SMELL OF AMMONIA! I FLEW OUT OF THE APT WHEN I BEGAN CHOKING BUT IT WAS TOO LATE. LESSON LEARNED: I NED TO STAY OUTSIDE AND LET THE COPS DO THE WORK THEY ARE HIRED TO DO. I ALSO NEED TO REMEMBER THAT MY "HEALTH" IS PRECARIOUS IN SOME AREAS AND I AM PUTTING MYSELF AT RISK. THE COP IS AN OLD FRIEND AND HE SAID YOU KNOW WHAT? I SAID YES...I NEED TO LET YOU FELLAS DO YOUR WORK AND SIT IN THE HALL. WE BOTH LAUGHED.
OTHER THAN THAT, THE WEEK FLEW BY. THE BOSS IS DUE BACK ON THE 9TH. I GOT A LOT DONE YESTERDAY FOR THE SENIORS. THEY ARE LEARNING TO ASK BEFORE THE WEEKEND WHICH IS GOOD. SEEMS THEY HAVE MORE RESPECT AND UNDERSTANDING THAN THE OFFICE EVER WILL
HAPPY FRIDAY AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!! :moped:
