June Turbo Challenge starts June 1st!! Our goal.....20 Turbo Jam Workouts in the month of June. Of course you can do additional workouts, just add those in when you have done them. We will weigh in each Monday, starting June 1st. And then a final weigh in June 30th.

Also, we will have a goal unrelated to working out. Total health is more then just how many days we work out or how many calories we eat. What else are you neglecting that would make you a healthier person. 30 mins of quiet time just for yourself? Water intake? Scheduled playtime with the kiddos? Washing your face? You pick it out!! We are amazing creatures and we need to take care of ourselves before we can take care of the ones we love! You are worth the effort...you are worth the time!!!

My name is Cassidy, I have a 3.5 year old daughter and a wonderful DH. I get so caught up in how things should be that I am paralyzed to make the proper changes. I'm so done with not having the energy of someone my age...I feel like I'm so much older and I feel like I'm cheating myself and my kiddo out of the life we deserve. Welcome Tracy, Jackie, Denise, Angie and Naima.

Angie, this little challenge started out because we love Turbo Jam, but have a hard time actually working out. So we are going to keep each other accountable to working out. I, personally, am going to write down which workout I did each time I do workout. I have the basic set and the extreme fat burning set (or whatever its called). So lets just get off our fannies and move our bodies!!!

Also, FYI....the Goal weight was just intended for you goal for June...I like to know what people are reaching for so I can support them better. :)

I won't be joining this challenge since I can only do Turbo Jam once a week or so (injured my knees) but when I do use it for my workout, I'd like to know how many calories I've used. Anyone have any idea what we burn in one TurboJam workout?

I also love the idea of the extra daily goal, btw. Mine would be washing my face every night. At my age you'd think I would have developed that habit long ago!

I didn't get a workout in before work this morning. :( I woke up late...but I'm going to workout when I get home!! And I washed my face last night to start off right for June!! :)

Redd...I have worn a HRM while doing Turbo Jam and I've burned 500+ in a 35 min workout...so I think it just depends on your weight and how hard you are working....but for me I figure at least 400 per half hour...I under estimate to be on the safe side.

Hi everyone, I'm so excited I found this! I'm actually doing ChaLEAN Extreme right now as well, but I want to step up my cardio so that I see pounds come off, not just inches. I don't know what kind of weight loss I should aim for in a month, but I guess I'll go with 1.5lbs x 4 weeks = 6lbs.

im not on a specific program. just eating healthy- getting my 5 fruit and veg a day-, counting calories and drinking plenty of water.

Trying to follow a specific plan has never worked with me in the past. I just find it easier to take respsonbility for what i eat now and be less passive.

Being a student, all it ever took was for someone to say they wanted to go grab a bite to eat and i'd find myself at a fast food place, sometimes even after having eaten already.

Or if i was too full to order a meal, i would still get a milkshake, or ice cream etc. coz i didnt want to be the only one not eating and i just wasnt thinking about it. I wasnt making conscious decisions and just kinda went along with everybody else really.

Set diets always make me think i'm being restricted and as such, i think about bingeing even more and i think about eating junk food even more. This way, i just enjoy making my own food, i know whats in its and i can account for everything in it.

Leigh, You will LOOOOOOOVE the Fat Burning Elite package!!! Its amazinggggg!! I really like T3 and the Cardio Party 2....Fat Blaster, KICKS MY FANNY!! There are 4, count them 4 Turbos in it....yikes.

I hope you get it tomorrow...or by the weekend at the lastest!!! :carrot:

I woke up late again today, well later than I wanted too, so I'll be doing a Cardio Party tomorrow!! Oh, and my scale started acting funny, so I might have to go buy a new one tonight....we'll see if I can fiddle with it tonight.

YAY!

My new DVDs arrived today. That was ridiculously quick. Too...many...choices! I think I'll stick with my planned workouts (Cardio Party, then Turbo Sculpt) for the next two days and then try to figure out a schedule that incorporates the new ones but doesn't kill me. I'm currently on a three-day rotation between Cardio Party, Turbo Sculpt, and 20 Minute/Ab Jam. Any suggestions? :D

I am now weighing in at 220 pounds even! My boyfriend says my face and stomach are already noticeably thinner/firmer too. I really should take proper measurements but I always feel like I'm doing it wrong.

Na'ima, one thing that helps keep me motivated is being able to add minutes to my exercise ticker. It's kind of dopey but it seems to work. I also keep a blog here on 3FC. Knowing that other people are paying attention is hugely motivating!

Maybe you could even reward yourself for working out X minutes or times per week or month. My reward for meeting my exercise goal of 1000 minutes this month will be a much-needed haircut.

I've started out much slower than I'd hoped! I've been so swamped with school, I haven't been getting my workouts in, and look, I'm even posting late! I'll be better this week... I must admit I didn't keep a food journal at all, though I did drink my water most days. Sorry ladies, I haven't been 100% committed, but that changes today!!

I have to admit my biggest issue is food. I don't know what it is, but I can never get both sides of me in check. If I'm getting my workouts, then I don't eat well, but if I'm on a diet, then I don't exercise. Any suggestions?? I think the food diary is a good place to start, if only I could actually do it!

All of your dedication is definitely giving me a big kick in the behind! Keep going strong!!

I completed another one... I have to play catch up a liitle bit. So, i will have to schedule some turbo jam mornings for sure. I am glad that I decided to commit to this challenge... I am determined to hang in there and complete 20 workouts. My son (10 years old) was doing turbo jam with me and then I left him alone for a while and he found my Tae Bo boot camp... I forgot I had it... the ab dvd is awesome so.. I am going to do this also with this challenge. The dvd is about 35 minutes total and most of it is standing ab work. I will alternate between turbo ab and TaeBo ab.
Also wanted to mention that days that I am not doing the Turbo challenge I am going to the gym to do cardio. I might have to do turbo jam a few days that I do go to the gym to make sure I am getting in my 20 workouts with turbo jam.

you can all count me out of this one guys. I have recently been diagnosed with glandular fever and a kidney infection, both of which are kicking my butt! So all my focus is on getting better.
