Hi Ladiessssssssss :) THough we still have the remainder of the week remaining, I figured it would be good to get our thread up and have it ready for us when we move over here on the first of June. This way, it gives us all time to prepare and also those of you who have not joined us yet...a heads up on doing so.
GIrls, you really are all dynamite and we are all fortunate to have such a nice group here. Thanks to you all for the support and encouragement along the way and on the inspiration and togetherness. We have had some wonderful successes thus far and it isn't over yet.....5 more days to go! :).
To any of you that may of sidetracked or fell off the wagon, do come back and join us in June! : ) No need for a confession if your not up to it(that isn't always fun, lol) just come right on in and start fresh and state your goals which may be a goal of getting back on track with structure, etc.
You know the drill girls! Just state your goal, whether it be a loss in pounds, inches, size, or even an intangible feeling! THe sky is the limit! You need not state your weight if you feel uncomfortable......just your goal, even if that goal is to maintain or whatever the case may be.
Our primary purpose in this thread has always been to support one another despite goal variations, etc. etc. and I look forward to our new month together. It is a fresh start for us all and a great time to renew and/or reinstate our own personal goals and plans.
The month of June may be tough for me as there will be so many functions and such so I wasn't sure at first what to shoot for as far as goals. With that being said, you have all been such a wonderful inspiration and many of you have managed to stay OP despite hurdles, etc... which is really admirable :). Okayyyyy, to spare you all from any further ramblings I will state my goal which will be to lose 6-7 lbs. the month of June. For now, I am focusing on the remainder of the week and finishing up May. I will catch you all over here soon :).

Hello, I am interested in the challenge. Monday is June 1st. I am new to the forum and I want to be involved. I am going to do the south beach diet. I have lost about 10 lbs in 3 weeks but at a stand still right now. What do I need to do to join you. My goal is to weigh 175.;)

Welcome Blondie! What we do is really just make a goal for the month. That's it! Some of us will report daily to the thread to just update everyone of our progress or give support. I was part of the May one, and let me tell you. These ladies are supportive, inspiring and as motivational as they come. We would love to have you join. :)

Blondie, welcome! You're in! :) What do you want your goals to be for the month of June? To lose 10 lbs? I'll edit it to be whatever you want! :welcome2:
FSA, it is so good to see you back, really back, lady!! I'm so glad you're feeling better!!
Delphi, woohoo!! 10 lbs!! You can do it!! You are a weight losing machine, girlie!! :cheer:
Oh my, my goal...I always say 10 lbs and I never reach 10 lbs. So this time I'm going to say...oh...10 lbs! Lol! What can I say? One of these days it has to work! :D
Hey! I would love to join this. I haven't done it before, but I'm sure it can help. I would like to lose 6-7 lbs to make it to the 160s, but since everyone is saying 10lbs... what the heck! My goal is to lose 10 lbs. :)

Welcome to all the newbies! May was my first ever challenge and let me tell you, these ladies made my first challenge fanflippin'tastic! ;) Everyone of these girls is fun, inspiring, helpful, supportive--and most of all--sweet as can be! I encourage anyone who joined in May and got sidetracked or anyone who is brand new to just jump right in! :)
Okay, I think my goals for June will be...
To lose 5 lbs -- keeping it a little more modest this month as this is the point where, in the past, my weight loss really starts to slow down. Anything over 5 will be gravy! ;)
So my goal weight will be whatever my weight is on 5/31 minus 5 lbs. ;)

Gatorgirl, lol!! That is so funny that you changed your goal! :D You're going to fit right in with our kind of craziness! :welcome2:
CMof4, I agree all the way! This is a very active thread and all the ladies are so sweet, so supportive, and so encouraging!
We are definitely "chatty chicks," lol! All newcomers are welcome!! And of course, we want all our past ladies back! The more the merrier!! (Now if I can just keep up with the lists until the May challenges end, lol!!) :cheer2:

Hello, I would like to join too! I haven't done any challenges yet, but I think this is a great idea. My goal is to lose 5 pounds by June 11, the day I am leaving for London! I am going to be in London/Reading, UK for about a week and then I am stopping in Rochester, NY for about 5 days, so I will be away from home for 13 days. I ALWAYS gain weight on vacations, so my goal is to stay on track and be at 175 at the end of June. Seeing as I gained 6 pounds in 9 days when I went on vacation last month, this will take determination, and I will do it!!

Hey y'all! :balloons:
What a cool thread this has been to read! The encouragement has brought many smiles to my face.
I'm very new to 3FC; joined earlier this week and haven't even made enough posts to be able to get my tickers. LOL
This is going to sound silly (it sounds silly to me, anyway) . . . but mini goals absolutely freak me out; especially mini-goals within a specific time frame. What if I don't make the goal? What if, what if, what if . . .
If someone were saying that to me, I'd be able to refute it . . . but I'm not doing such a good job of refuting it when I'm hearing it in my own head.
But. Having said all that, I'm still going to make a mini-goal . . . and that's going to be to loose 5 pounds by the end of June.
Y'all be blessed,
SharMar

Incidentally, is Onderland for people who have lost 100 pounds or is it for people who loose weight to weigh under 200 pounds?
Jacqui_D
05-29-2009, 12:20 AM
Welcome SharMar! I've added you to the list above! I can understand your concern about setting a timed mini-goal, but don't let it worry you. We don't get uptight around here about not making our monthly goals, because let's face it, even if we are stay Perfectly On Program or Perfectly On Plan (POP), sometimes that stubborn weight just takes its time to come off! Some people don't even set weight goals. They might say things like "stay OP" (On Program or On Plan), "drink more water," or "eat more veggies." The important thing is to have a goal to work toward and then to actually work toward it! And equally as important is to support each other along the way! You'll be surprised at what you can accomplish when you have such a wonderful support system of friends encouraging you the whole way and rooting you on!! It makes you want to do your best! To us, any time you stay OP, lose or maintain your weight, and/or do the best you can, we are proud of you!! And if it just so happens that you also make your monthly goal, we get very excited for you!! So don't worry--just give it your best shot! We're glad to have you! Good luck! :welcome2:
Edited to add: ONEderland is to reach 199 lbs, to no longer have a weight that begins with a 2! Woohoo!

:welcome: Plexi & Sharmar! Yes, Onederland is definitely coveted around here, I know it is by me. I felt just like you did when I joined this site 29 days ago and then I found these ladies! I was so modest with my goals, they even scared me, but WOW, how far I've come. The support, encouragement, friendship and the accountability sure has taken me to new heights. I actually want to work towards my goals, I want to be held accountable, I want to lose this weight and with the support to be found in our two threads...I WILL LOSE THIS WEIGHT!!!! ;)

I am making a collection in my closet as I get through the clothes that are too big...then it will be one big drop off!! That's a great idea...maybe I will use that one for July's challenge...although believe it or not, I have been cooking more the last few months and have tried alot of new stuff, not every week though.

SharMar: I am sure you'll feel right at home here. I sure did when I joined last month. This is an awesome bunch of ladies :)
As for your questions: For the mini-goals, going with what Jacqui said. I have changed mine to be something that I can be accountable for. So instead of going for an X number of pounds, I am going for 6 days a week OP. This way, it's something I can control and feel responsible for.
Onederland refers to people who are under 200 lbs.. So if you drop from 200 to 199 you are in Onederland.

Hi everyone :)
So nice to see everyone here. I remember when I first joined here at 3fc thinking I was too late to join because the month or day had already started. Oh my goodness, no! For any of you who may be new or pondering the same thing (one of the reasons we put the threads up early, as well as to give us time to prepare with grocereis, etc.) think no further! It is never too late to join.
Delphi, hi there girl :) As for the headstart, it always starts with the mind. I am still thinking and scheming though and I need to be ready come Monday for the first of our month. It's a no go for me unless I have a plan and meal in place, it is absolutely imperative to my success. Quesiton is, which meal plan right now? lol. GOing to shake things up a bit Delphi. As for you, your rocking it chicky.......you k,now what they say, don't mess with a good thing! Keep on truckin :carrot::carrot:
Jacquee, good to see you!

I did foget to add that I will be weighing in on MOndays (beginning June 1rst). The days we weigh in are completely up to you! I prefer to weigh in on the first day of the month as well as the last. I feel forunate this month as not only are we starting our new month on a MOnday, but Monday WI's always seem to work best for me (they keep me in line over the weekends ;)).
Some of you may have a preferred day to WI (at WW etc) or maybe even not WI at all (such as counting measurements or other goals) which is absolutely fine! Okay girls, let's get ready for monday. Junk out of the house, meal plans in place for at least a few days (to help avoid temptation), and ah..........well :dust: :)
I look forward to our new month together, in the meantime I didn't have it so good last weekend girls so I am working hard to undo any damage t hat might have been done and either way.......I will be ready for our new month together! Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

3. Drink more water

Gatorgirl and Delphi, I have edited your goals on the list!
Fattopia, I'm adding your "60 min of serious movement" exercise goal to the exercise thread list!
Yes, we are definitely "chatty chicks" on this thread, lol! I'd say there are only a few threads on the site that are as active as this one. And the more I post and get involved, the more motivated I stay! This site and especially these two monthly threads are the difference between why I have failed to lose weight over the past 10 years and why I will do it now without a doubt! I'm no longer alone! I'm surrounded by people who understand and who care! They cheer me on, boost me up, make me laugh, and even go "drill sergeant" on me if I need it, all in the most supportive and encouraging way! It's just a great bunch!!

I'm so super excited to join this thread!! I wanted to join last month but I just decided to wait until June so I can have the whole month to start off with my new goals set in mind.
Ok, my weight has been very unsteady this week due to TOM coming up so I'm going to say my goal is to lose 8 to 10 lbs to weigh at least 179 :)
I can't wait till Monday and I just have to say that you ladies are so awesome and I am really looking forward to actively participating in this challenge.

Ooo a challenge!
I'm quite new having just joined yesterday and just started my program today. I'm not entirely sure what a reasonable goal would be for a month. 10lbs seems to be a very popular one. So I'd have to say my goal for the month of June is 1) to stay on program and 2) to loose 11lbs.

I've tried many programs in the past but the one that I've seem to have the best luck with is simply counting calories.
Beyond that, I'm also making myself move every 30 minutes, am now eating breakfast, making sure I get at least 8 hours of sleep, etc. Just little things here in there that will hopefully add up in the long run :).
Jacqui_D

AtlGirl, very smart!! I'm a calorie tracker myself. I started out as a calorie counter, but after I had a good idea of how many calories were in the foods I tend to eat, I stopped counting exactly and now I just track it mentally to make sure I'm not overeating. Plus, I'm eating balanced and healthy foods now. Simple, high-carb foods and I do not get along, but I make sure I get a balance of complex carbs in veggies, fruits, and whole grains, protein in lean meats and dairy, and healthy fats in nuts, seeds, and fish. And my favorite drink of all time, Diet Dr. Pepper, I've finally figured out is an appetite trigger for me, so now I drink just water and hot tea. And with cutting out bad carbs and bad drinks, I no longer have trouble AT ALL with cravings! I'm not tempted to overeat or eat bad foods. It's been incredible! I've also picked up exercising, which I've always loathed, but have developed a much better attitude about! I have to say I REALLY like your idea of simply moving every 30 minutes. I read something recently about making sure you move every 30-40 minutes or so throughout the day, not to stay in a chair or on a couch for too long at any given time. Anyway, with the changes you're making, I think you're going to do great! :)

Hi girls :)

I think you will love it here ladies! I can't say enough good things about it! Look around and familiarize yourselves with the site, I have learned (and continue to learn) so many things from the site and the wonderful gals here.
Hi lea and to all of you :) Hattie, glad to see you here my lady, hope all is well and looking forward to hearing from you soon.
For those of you who may be unfamiliar with our lingo here, we have initials for some words. DH means dear husband, DS...dear son, DD....dear daughter, lol... laugh out loud, TOM....time of month (you will be seeing that one a lot! lol :). Oh and POP means perfectly on plan, OP....on plan (we use that one a lot) and WI means weigh in.
Delphiiiiiiii, omg! I started laughing when I read that :). Newshinyme, indeed girl! to a great June for us all.
Well Ladies, I made it to the supermarket today and I am ready for Monday. I do my own plan (though I have done SBD...south beach diet before and recently did phase1). I basically just focus on eating healthy. I don't eat butter (I use pam butter flavored cooking spray), I sometimes use olive oil,and I get hellmans low fat may...it's good. I eat lean proteins (mostly chicken, fish, and sometimes ex. lean beef and eggs) and veggies and fruits (I try on the fruits). I don't count calories but am very familiar with them and like Jacqui, make mental notes. OH, there is a great site girls called calorieking.com. Omg, my husband just came in the room and said, "DH is downstairs waiting for you" I better go, your all spared from my further ramblings ;). Talk soon :)

Speaking of losses, I am down 2.4 pounds this week, and 9.2 pounds overall in my first 3 weeks. Reaching my goal(s) by the end of June feels a lot more possible right now!
I am not counting calories (yet), just being more mindful of what I put in my mouth, and rocking the Turbo Jam daily. Any other Jammers on board?

Just a real quick post to update my Official Goals. I wanted to add a couple. :)
Stay on Plan at least 85% of the month--I want to allow for some higher calorie days to keep my motabolism guessing and to take baby steps towards letting myself have a treat now and then.
Lose 5 lbs, bringing me to 167.8 (I'm hoping for more, but this is the point where my weight loss starts to slow way down and I usually fall of the wagon--Not this time though. I'm going to keep on going and know that a slow down in weight loss is normal and not to be viewed as my 'diet not working anymore' causing me to throw in the towel. Because, this isn't a diet--it's a new lifestyle!!! :))
Lose more inches
Eat even more fruits and veggies
Thanks so much Jacqui for keeping track of all our goals and for updating them when we get crazy and start changing and adding and changing...
I'll be back tonight to catch up on this thread and post personals! I look forward to getting to know all the Newbies and to another fun filled goal meeting month with you all! :)

:welcome: Tracy! I've added you to the list! Glad to have you! Good luck!!
CMof4, you are so welcome! Hey, I'm still changing my goals too, so I completely understand, lol!
Well, ladies, speaking of changing my goals, Delphi has come up with a proposal to help me to remember to eat. For those of you who are new, I am one of those strange people who forgets to eat. Eating the wrong foods always triggered my appetite so that I wanted to eat constantly, but eating right levels out my blood sugar levels so that I don't have insulin spikes, However, as a result, I rarely get hunger cues unless I haven't eaten for a whole day or it's the week before TOM, and not eating creates a real problem because I have reactive hypoglycemia, which is like the opposite of diabetes. Instead of high blood sugar levels, I'm more prone to low blood sugar levels, so if I don't eat, those levels drop way low. Well, Delphi proposed that I make a goal to remember to eat, and since she is hypoglycemic as well, she would also make a goal about remembering to eat. So, I have added some new goals, and I really hope I can meet them!
Delphi, your turn! :D

I just took a look at my schedule for the next month and I'm like WOW, can I really do that? Then, I say, of course I can. With you ladies by my side I'm capable of anything. We will do this together Lene! I'll be there in spirit ;)
Jacqui ~ You, my friend, are simply amazing for keeping up with all of this. Just wanted to say thanks again for organizing and keeping with all of us. :)

:welcome: Ladyfyre, Sheena41, and Mizmizzy!! I've added you to the list! So glad to have you! Good luck!!
Ladyfyre, yes, sometimes we have to learn the hard way that we really do need a strong support system, and that's what we have here at 3FC! I think you're going to like this thread! We'll help you along! And with your birthday coming up, this is a great time to get started!! :cheer:
Sheena, I really like that you chose a realistic weight loss goal! Our bodies are all different, we lose at different rates, and have different amounts to lose, and self-awareness about that is vitally important! Too often people set the bar of expectation too high for themselves and when they can't keep up, they become discouraged and embarrassed and even sometimes disappear, even though we've all been through it and understand and definitely don't want them to go!! So I think it's very smart that you have set your June goal according to what you know you can do! And the good part is that if you meet your goal early, you can always set another one!! :D
Lene, it's about time you got here!!
Delphi, you are welcome! I am happy to do it! :)
Everyone, Lene brings up such a good point! The more you check in and post, the more accountable you will hold yourself! Just try it! :D You don't have to write personals. We love it when you do, but some people just don't have time for that, not to mention that this thread moves so fast sometimes that it's hard to keep up, lol! Although some of us post daily and even multiple times a day, if you will just check in and post regularly, and let us know how it's going for you, good or bad, we will be happy to support you, and it will make all the difference! You'll see! We want everyone to succeed, and if you are struggling, not only might we be able to help you, but you might be helping us because the same struggle may be just around our corners. So just remember, we want you here! :cheer2: :cheer3: :cheer2: Good luck!!

LOL!!! Nice to meet you Delphi!! :lol3:
Thank you for the warm welcome, ladies! I am so looking forward to having some new weight loss partners.
Leigh, congrats on the 2.4 pounds this week and 9.2 pounds overall in your first 3 weeks!! :carrot: :broc: :carrot: What a great start!! :cheer:

I am so far behind with the posts that I will only say :welcome: to all the new faces, it's great to have you around. Let's keep each other going for the whole month :carrot:
To all my girls from May:  I am so glad to have you around for another month.
I have to say, it seems like I am getting a hang of the exercise thing, but now I need to get tougher on the eating part. I have some good days and some no good days where all my common sense just seems to go out the window. So like I said last month on the exercise thread: please feel free to give me a good kick in the butt if I start to slack off :D
I am very curious: What is this challenge Delphi and Lene are talking about?
Have a great first day of June!!

:carrot:Good Morning Ladies:carrot:
It's JUNE!:woohoo:
Which means a new thread and a new start. Let me go ahead and say:welcome: to mtphotochick and HisSweetGypsyRose. Glad to have you guys around. Good luck to you both. :)
Newshinyme ~ Just a standing joke from the old thread. Lene is going to up her exercise routine this month and she made a joke about squatting, crunching and lunging her way ahead of me. But hey this is gonna be your month. Simply try to stay focused on your goals. You did an amazing job last month, use that to push yourself this month. You will do just fine. :) Do you calorie track or count? How do you go about planning meals or do you? Eating on the fly? Give us some info and perhaps we can help you through this one kiddo!
Alright ladies, I just reviewed my goals for the month. I have my calender marked for my exercise routines daily and I "think" a plan to keep me at least 1200 calories everyday. I'm eating my Nutrigrain bar as we speak. ;) I have exercise duds on, my bottle of water freezing in the freezer and my arm band ready to go. I have the worst sunburn from fishing yesterday but I'm ready to go. I'm ready to push myself further. I'm ready to remain healthy and I'm ready to start working on my goals. You ladies remember, the decision you have made to start living healthy and to lose the weight was the right one. A step in the right direction. Never go a day without patting yourself on the back for making that choice. Believe in yourself and drink plenty of water. ;)
So that's it. If you can tell, I'm excited. :carrot: So if you ladies would, raise those water bottles for a toast. A toast for prosperity, positive thinking...and here's to living a fulfilling, long healthy life.
Oh and don't forget your smiles today! And hey, if you wanna throw in a fanflippintastic to a random cashier or co-worker then, be my guest. :) :) :)
LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!

Oooh Delphi's got me all amped up with her oober enthusiastic post! :D Are you ladies ready for a great month? I know I am!!! I am as committed as ever and rarin' to GO!
Got my upper body workout in already, ate my breakfast--which included FRIUT btw ;) (for those of you who don't me, I'm fruit and veggie challenged :D), got my water bottle all filled up and I'm all set for a great day!
Okay, I've got a question for the girls who do HIIT workouts. (High Intensity Interval Training) I'm really looking at this as my new cardio workout for this month. I've read that you only do it 3 times a week and just curious if anyone disagrees with that? Also, any helpful websites, books, etc. on the topic? I found a couple websites and even found some workouts--I plan on starting tomorrow--eek! I've read that treadmills aren't good for this kind of workout as they're too slow to increase and decrease, so that means that I'll be venturing outside...in public...where people can actually SEE me in all my huffing and puffing glory. :fr:  It should be quite a show. ;)
Alrighty girls...I'm with Delphi, I've got my glass (jug) raised! Here's to a ooberfantasticspectacularamazing month! Here's to new goals and a fresh start! Here's to positive thoughts and determination! Here's to wonderful support and friendship!!
Now, let's DO THIS THING!!!!!

G'morning!
Still trying to work the kinks out in my plan (basic calorie counting + moving more). Finding I do extremely well all day but between 8-10pm everything goes to **** in a hand basket. I have an intense, mind consuming desire to eat even though I'm not hungry. I allow myself a small treat but still am finding that's not enough as I feel like binging. Oddly enough, all the good food shows are on that time of night. -.-
Hope everyone else is doing well. Good luck all!

Atgirl ~ What do your meals look like during the day? Are you getting enough protein especially for dinner? How many meals are you eating a day? Just a few questions, so perhaps we can help you through this. :) You keep at it kiddo!
crazymomma ~ I'm soooo glad you are pumped and ready to go. When we get excited about weightloss, it definitely makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable. Now regarding interval training...mmmm not sure. I haven't made it that far yet. Sorry, wish I could be of more help.

GOOD MORNING LADIES!!! :welcome: TO BEAUTIFUL JUNE!!!!
Welcome MTphotochick, Janis427, and Dollypie!! I've added you to the list! So glad to have you! Good luck!! :welcome2:
It sounds like everyone is getting off to a strong start! Good for you ladies!! I woke up to find I had lost another lb!! Woohoo! Of course, it was too late for my May goal and too early for my June goal, lol!! But hey a lb off is a lb gone forever, so I am happy to make it a part of a great June starting weight! So my goal weight is 177!! Woohoo!!!
SW: 187
GW: 177
Atlgirl, do you like green tea? Green tea is a natural appetite suppressant. If you could get 3-4 cups in a day, it would really help and you could sip that last cup between 8-10 pm. If green tea is not your thing, then brush your teeth--floss, mouthwash, and all--and then pop some sugarfree gum in your mouth and paint your fingernails during that time, multiple coats! Do whatever it takes, but do NOT succumb to snacks or foods that you know you have no business eating that late. A good snack would not be bad as long as it is at least two hours before your bedtime, but after that *small* snack, brush your teeth! You may think in the moment that you just have to have more food, that it won't really hurt, but you don't, and it will, it's a mind trick, and you'll be miserable and beating yourself up the next morning! It is not worth it! June is your new start, chickie! You ARE going to break that old habit, and that's all it is--a habit--you're not really hungry; you're just used to eating then!! But this is June, a brand new start, and tonight, you are not going to eat lots that late! You're going to come on here tomorrow and tell us that you made it!! Okay girlie?! Woohoo! Here's to a new start! A new lifestyle! A new you! You can do it!

AtlGirl ~ Sounds good to me. Are you getting enough sleep at night..I know you mentioned being up past ten? I had trouble with snacking late night at first, but eventually it just went away. A lot of that has to do with my water intake. Are you drinking water with your meals? I drink 24oz of water with every meal and it really helps.
Jacqui ~ Did you remember to eat this morning? ;)

Lol! Yes, Delphi! :D I woke up late but within 10 minutes, I went to the kitchen and ate breakfast--oatmeal with blueberries, a hard-boiled egg, an Activia yogurt, water, and vitamins! :carrot: Did you eat breakfast this morning? Because I woke up so late (which I rarely do--thanks TOM for keeping me up all night!), lunch will be challenging. I'll have to plan it for around 1:30. I've already missed a mid-morning snack because of the late breakfast, so that's 1 time missed out of the 6 times to eat. So I have to remember to eat lunch because it can't be two missed times in a row! Setting my cell phone alarm now, lol! :D

Yes, Jacqui and my snack, which was a cup of carnation instant breakfast essentials, which actually tasted like real chocolate. But I thought that would be something that would give me a good chunk of calories and it's something I am drinking so I don't feel like I'm forcing myself to eat. :) Good luck with getting your next meal Jacqui..I'm rootin' for ya!
I'm looking good for calories today. I'm gonna put my entire eating schedule on My Fitness Pal every morning as my morning routine and make sure I have at least 1200 planned out. Now all I need do is actually follow it. ;) I'll let you guys know this evening though. :)

I can't believe there are already this many pages and it is June 1. I'll never catch up, never.
Jacqui~My goal for this month is to lose 6.5 pounds. I have sadly :( had to update my ticker to reflect the reality that it went UP and hasn't moved in a month.
However, I am newly minted, newly committed, and newly :carrot: to continue on my journey and make real progress this month. In the manner of true confessions, I will admit that we had an event last night and I ended the month with a bit more wine :twirly: than was good for me. ;)

Sorry I don't have time for more personals right now girls, oh and remember what Lene said about posting........she said it best. Don't worry if you can't do personals (we don't always have time and we are a large group too) but post as it will help.
Dollypie, it's great to see you again. We used to be in the exercise challenges together. Though we never chatted in the threads at the time (you should see us now :blah:lol) we were there for a while, I am glad you found us here and joined in! :).
Catch up with you all more soon girls. Have a great firs day and here is some :dust: for us all.

Goooooooood Morning!!!! (or afternoon in the rest of the world I guess :P)
New Month, New chance to start all over again and finally stop going up and down the same 2 lbs LOL.. I guess I can at least say I am getting really good at maintaining hehe!
So, my official WI was this morning and I am starting at 173.6, which is not so bad since mid week it was higher than that from all the water retention after the exercise.
Delphi: I am on Nutrisystem, so you'd think this would be easy. I don't have to plan much, cook or portion things for the most part. So Monday to Thursday I am in my routine and I pretty much stay OP (plus or minus 100 cals I would say). My problem comes on the weekend when I go out with friends. We go out to eat and I seem to "forget" I am watching what I eat. I still eat less than I used to, but more than I should, and I undo all the good I did during the week.
I guess I have to make an effort to come and post during the weekend to keep me on track and to fess up to you all.
CMo4: Not sure if you've already seen this site, but I found it a while ago and it's on my list of workouts to get into one day: http://www.intervaltraining.net/Interval_training_for_beginners.html
Welcome dollypie, Janis, Odysseygurl
Good luck susiemartin! . Show the scale who's boss!
AtlGirl: I think drinking lots and lots of water helps me, especially when I am not really hungry, it still keeps my hands and mouth busy and eventually I forget.
Another thing you can try doing is splitting your calories into more meals, say 5 or 6 instead of 3. Keep healthy stuff at hand like pre-washed, pre-cut veggies so that if you feel like munching, you reach for those instead of the cookies...way less calories and after you get used to it, way more satisfying.
You can do this!
Lewis!!!! Glad you had fun in your cruise. I am sure there's a bit of water in those 8 lbs. and you'll be kicking them to the curb in no time. It's so good that you are back though :D
glutio: You are going to have a blast taking pictures of yourself everyday. Be sure to let us see the before and afters :D
Jacqui:: Thanks again for leading this challenge. You are the best!. And glad to see that you are managing to eat!
urock: Hi! let's rock June!
Ok chickies: Gotta get moving now or next thing I know it will be dinnertime LOL

Wow, I am overwhelmed by how many posts we already have...but loving all the positive energy and excitement!
So...maybe this should go on the May thread...but I didn't make my May goal of losing 5 pounds to go from 158 to 153. In fact, I weighed in this morning at 155.0, even though I had gotten down to 154 last week (good thing I never changed my ticker). I think TOM is partly to blame, and also the fact that I hadn't been running in the last 2 weeks even though I was really careful about my eating and my net calories. Whenever I walked somewhere I counted the calories I burned, but I think that for my body, my workouts really need to be at a very high intensity in order to count for anything. So I am going to come up with an exercise plan and maybe head over to our other thread in a bit.
Anyway, for June, I would like to CHANGE MY GOAL (Jacqui, that was to make it easier for you to see, lol). The new goal is "lose over 5 pounds to get below 150". I was close to that before TOM came, and I think that with a renewed focus on exercise this month, I can do it! And it will be great to see that "new decade."
I wish I could be losing weight as fast as a lot of you, but I know I just have to be patient and realize that it is going to be a little slower for me. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't push myself!
Good luck with day 1, everyone!

Good Afternoon Ladies!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! :)
Jacqui~ thanks again for updating my weight goal. Funny how we both lost a lb overnight! I do wish it could have been tonight though so it would count for June! ;) Congrats on that lb gone forever! You're 187 already! It was just a few days ago you were in the 190's!! You're rockin' it!!! :) Glad to hear you ate your breakfast like a good girl! :D
Odyssey~ Welcome and Good Luck on your June Goal!!! :carrot:
Delphi~ way to be on our girl Jacqui! I was going to ask her the same thing. I tell ya, with all of us on her case, she'll never forget to eat again! (so long as she stays glued to the computer all day to see us nagging her! ;)) Good luck on following your eating plan! I'm still sticking around 1200 myself, I'm not organized enough to actually write out a plan though
Lewis~ I already said it on the May thread, but I'm going to say it again: Yay! You're back, you're back, you're back!!! :celebrate: Don't fret about those 8 lbs, I bet a lot of it is water weight. Besides, sometimes you just have to endulge a little--like on a fantastically fun cruise!! :D And heck ya, I'm in! Sign me up!
URockMom~ Hey girlie! Like I said to Lewis, sometimes you just have to endulge a little ;) Sounds like you had fun last night! I just know you're going to see a nice drop on the scale this week and make great progress! Congrats to you for recommitting!!! You can do this!!
Glutio~ ooh, headshots sound like a fun and neat idea! I hope you'll post them here for us to see the changes too! :)
Lowandfat~ congrats on the 45 lbs lost! That's fantastic!
Babes~ Hello & Welcome! I'm loving the first day of the new challenge too! Even though I just finished the May one, there's something so cool and wonderful about starting another brand new shiny Goal Month. :D
Well ladies, nothign to report--just me, being a multiple poster! :D
I hope you're having a great day and that you're drinking all of your water!!!!
ETA~ Michelle! We must have been posting at the same time. :) Sorry you didn't make your goal, but I bet TOM is behind it all--Evil, evil TOM! Grrr! Don't worry about the speed at which you're losing, remember those measurements? (nag, nag, nag ;)) sometimes our body is changing and the scale doesn't show it.
FSA~ you too! I'll be your water nag if you want me to. Great job setting up a meal plan!
NSM~ And you as well? I'm never going to end this post! Thanks so much for the link! I'll be sure to check it out asap! You know, I bet you're right about coming here to post on weekends! I know it helps me to stay on track. :) Come on, you know you want to be here every single day right? :D
Okay, really, really going now. If someone else was posting while I was--I'll catch you later! :)

Oh My Gosh!!! 11 pages on the 1st day of the month!! I came on to subscribe to the thread and imagine my surprise at the energy already here!
A quick catch up on me....I ALMOST made it to my May goal. I hit 165.2, so it was pretty dang close to my goal of 165. No complaints there. My goal for this month is 161. This month holds MANY challenges for me diet-wise particularly at the end of the month with travel and all. I'm hoping a reasonable goal will keep me in check...and of course all you lovely ladies! I didn't have time to read all the posts, but I will when time permits. Best wishes to everyone with their goals this month!

I am soooooooo glad June has started and furthermore, thrilled to see you new gals posting! Believe me it helps!
Before I do personals though...I just have to scream WELCOME BACK KOTTER...ERMMMM... LE! What's shakin'? It is so good to have you back with us. You know what I say...screw those eight pounds...they no more define you then I do luv! Those eight pounds will come off. You had a great time and still exercised daily...that in itself is a step in the right direction. And hey, at least your hair looked AWESOME while doing so. :)
Michelle ~ Hey dear, don't sweat it, just pick up and move forward. You are probably right about TOM, we all know how he is cunning. You just stick to your goals and get back to that running and you will be well on your way. :)
Crazymomma ~   Me too. Multiple posting away!
Newshinyme ~ Hmm...I noticed in a personal you mention water. On these weekends out with friends are you still drinking all that water? Perhaps you should even carry a bottle of water with you and maybe even write on the bottle 3FC June Challenge as a constant reminder...to be honest, that is exactly what I have on my water bottle. ;) You are doing great!
FSA ~ I'm gonna recommend the same for you chicky. Perhaps a constant reminder on your water bottle wouldn't hurt. It may make you drink more water. ;)
Babes ~ I love to see that excitement, it keeps me motivated and excited as well. From what I've noticed here is we all seem to feed off of each others excitement, which is a great thing indeed.
lowandfat ~ Keep up the great work.
glutio ~ That sounds like a great idea. I love your enthusiasm. You keep that focus and you will be at your goal in no time. :carrot:
urockmom ~ A little wine...eh? Hey no sweat, you get right back in the saddle again. You have been so influential over the past month for me personally and I really and truly believe you will get to your goal. U definitely do ROCK!
Ms. P ~ Your goal sounds great and you're right, I think it will keep you focused. Where are you traveling to?

Hi again girls :)
MsP and Michelle, great to see you! Onto a new month we go! :carrot::carrot:
Newshinyme, I was thinking about the SBD but not on it right now. I did phase 1 with Lene last month and quite frankly virtually all of my weightloss was from that....I am very thankful for that. Memorial day weekend was awful planwise but went right back OP after. It's an awesome plan, I lost 9lbs. the first 3 weeks when I first started in Oct. Either way, I need to limit my starches or I don't lose. How do you like the nutrisystem? RIght now for this first week I am experimenting yet again....just going to eat some various things I haven't in a while (healthy of course) in the hopes of waking up my metabolism, it needs a shakeup :carrot::carrot: lol.
Delphi and crazymamaof4, thanksssssss girls :) I bought a few gallons of water at the market the other day and I have one up here right now so I can keep re-filling my cup!
Jacqui, wtg on the breakfast. I hope that storm over there has subsided. My pup get's so nervous too when it thunders....I usually play with her to keep her occupied.
urockmom :high: to an awesome month for us all.
Delphi,@wb Kotter!
Lowandfat :congrat::cheer2::cheer2::cheer3: on the 45lb. loss, that is fantastic! Were you following a particular plan? Nice to have u aboard : ).
Hi glutio :) what a great idea....taking some pics like that to see your progress for extra incentive. Wtg!
babes, wtg on the positive attitude :)
a big hi to all. Still waiting for some of our girls to come in ;)
Hope your all having a good first day. Going well h ere and drinking plenty of water. I went to bed late last night so I'm a little on the tired side but I know that a walk will feel wonderful. Talk soon chickies :)

What the HECK!!!!! You crazy women talk too much!!! LOL!!!!
I have a little game plan for this month. Do you wanna hear it?? Cuz here it is!:D Last month I got journaling and drinking 64ozs water in each day as my new habit. This month I'm throwing in taking a vitamin. I'm feeling sluggish so I hope it helps. For exercise I am going with HIIT. I have so much going on this month that lack of time will be an issue. I think this is a good time to try something new.
I don't have time for all the personals but I want to get a couple in.
First off Lewis is back!!!! :carrot: I'm glad you had a wonderful time on your cruise, sorry about the extra pounds but you'll have that straightened out soon. I know it!!!
Lowandfat, :dancer::flow2::dancer: Congratulations on 45lbs!!!:carrot:
Ms P, I would have to say you made your goal last month. .2lbs are you kidding, cut off an inch of hair, spit repeatedly (like wrestlers do) or let's just say you made it. All your effort last month paid off, GREAT JOB!!:carrot:
Newshinyme~ hey chick! Maybe you should journal on weekends. It will definitely hold you more accountable if you know you have to write it down. Here's to a new month!
FSA~ I'm still sticking with the 'ol SB but I'm going to challenge myself with different exercise. Good luck in June!!!
CMO4~ I better get my water!!! (Before I write you.) :D Okay finished off my last 32oz bottle refilled and started my next 32, I hope you are pleased with me now. :p
Glutio~ Welcome and I think taking pics is a great idea. You just reminded me to take a pic of myself today. I had DH take a front and side profile the beginning of last month. It will be nice to start seeing a change.
urock~ :crossed: We can do this!
Jacqui~ Guess who forgot to eat lunch and snack today??? Can you believe it?? I just wasn't hungry. Hope you had a great day today!!
Babes~ Hope you stayed on plan. I love a new month too!
Delphi, Delphi, Delphi Hey girl! Did your plan workout for you today???
I'm sorry I can't get to everyone else but I have dinner to make yet.
Take care!!!!

I think the vitamin will help you out. Keep us posted and keep kicking :kickbutt:

leigh ~! Yeah, it moves quickly, but man the excitement and motivation is simply great. I love reading everyones posts. :)
gatorgirl ~ Well good luck with that studying. Your water will be your best friend while you do so. ;)
lene ~ What's shakin? Yup, I stayed on plan. I actually got in 1,202 calories today and had a 1,320 deficit. ;) So all and all it was a most groovy day chicky. How was yours? Oh, good call on the vitamin. That was a hard habit to get into for me. Because I take so many twice a day, but hey I did it. I take a multivitamin, a cartilage pill for my joints and on top of that I take Lifepak Nano, which is a total of seven pills to take in the morning and the evening. But I swear by them! It was definitely difficult to remember, but like everything here lately, it has become routine..thank goodness.
canadianangel ~ Sorry to hear about that leg and I do wish you the best with the exercise goals. You sound really focused and that is in fact a great thing. Good luck!

My weigh in at Weight Watchers today had me up 1.2 pounds on top of 0.8 pounds up last week! Weekends out of town with bad food choices do not make for good weight loss!! I plan on making it all go away this week, though! On plan every day, lots of exercise and walking, drinking water and all that stuff.
My weight watchers weight and my home weight are different, though, with the different scales and not wearing clothes at home! I'm waiting to see what the scale says tomorrow morning before figuring out my goal.

So I had a bad bad day today but I'm not stressing out about it. I had fun with my DH while he's in town and the food was good. I know I probably put myself back about a week but it's no biggie! Anyways I will be water loading tomorrow to get rid of some of this water weight. I'm also considering just waiting until next week Monday to weigh in instead of checking my weight everyday like I usually do...I'm not sure either way I'm looking forward to a good week!

So Babes, did you make it POP today, like you had planned?! I just love that positive attitude of yours! :)
And FSA, did you get your water in? Oh, I see in a later post that you did! Good job!! I think it is so great that your DH walks with you. I'm lucky that way too! :cp:
NSM, you are going to get past those same 2 lbs this time!! Yep, just stick with us on the weekends! Besides, if you don't, the thread will be way too long for you to catch up!
Michelle, it worked!! I've changed your goal, lol! :D Yes, just be patient with your weight loss. You are 5'9" and only 155 lbs. That's already "normal" weight, so to take off those few more lbs so that you will feel comfortable will be just as much of an effort for you as taking off more weight is for us. Just keep plugging away at it, girlie! :cheer3:
CMof4, I know, lol!! That doesn't seem quite fair, does it, lol! After all, it is the June weight loss challenge and we lost a lb in June! Oh well, the bright side is that we are each a lb less, and that's what really matters!! :carrot:
Ms_P, I'm telling you, you have to get rid of that dang overly accurate scale, lol!! :D
ANGGGG!! Great to see you back!! I'm glad you maintained in your weeks off, but now, time to get those lbs off, chickie!! You ARE going to fit into those sz 14 pants!! I'll add your exercise goals to the sister thread list. :running:
Lene, great idea adding vitamins! Soooooo, it that a goal? :D I can't believe you forgot to eat, lol! When you are eating right, it's easy, isn't it?! I said I was going to eat lunch at 1:30 and I set my phone alarm and then walked off without my phone! I ate but it was late! It dd however cause me to miss my mid-afternoon snack. So that was 2 missed snacks and 2 meals late. But I was at my limit of missed eating times a day, and lo and behold, I remembered dinner on time and I got in an after-dinner snack on time! Woohoo! :cp:
Gator, good luck on your tests!! I believe my son has exams this week too. :book2: Actually, schoolwork is what I was busy with today too. My DH is taking online classes and he had a research paper and four other writing assignments due today. He works all week, so he pretty much can only work on these assignments on the weekends. I'm a former English teacher, so guess who got to type, and edit and revise and do all the citations and bibliographies today?! Me! :dizzy:
Leigh, great job getting your exercise in! Sometimes we do just have to push through it, whether we feel like it or not! Good for you! :cp:
Glutio, yep, put those bad food choices behind you and jump back onto the wagon, girl! Time to lose some weight!! :cheer3:
Kindra, you just jump back onto the wagon too, girl! No more bad food choices now! Time to lose weight for summer! :cheer2:
MTphotochick, great job getting that exercise in!! This really is a good gift to give to yourself!!
FSA, oh I like that--angel wings!! It's so fitting for this thread!! Yes, I don't know why I'm up! I didn't sleep well last night either! Maybe our sleep patterns just get disturbed really easily. But I'm am heading off to bed after I post this. Good night, girlie!!

Can you put me on the list too please.
I want to lose 4.2kg, (9.2lb), which will take me to 99.9kg (219.8lb). Getting under the 100kg is a major thing for me, so I'm going to give it a really good try this month. If I stay on plan, there's no good reason for me not to get there. Scary  and exciting :dancer:

:carrot:Good Morning Ladies:carrot:
Firstly, let me just say, I weighed and I'm down two pounds ladies! Take THAT you evil scale. Not only did I shed those two pounds, but yesterday all went as planned with food and exercise. What I didn't expect, was my grandmother bringing a boat load of carpet over to my house. So my evening was spent moving furniture, laying carpet, then moving the furniture back and of course all the cleaning up afterwards. That was just my livingroom, but to see a two pound loss this morning, made it all worth it. :broc:
Going to go through the same motions today, stick to schedule and plan my meals before I get my cardio in this morning. Then I get to go pay all my bills and grocery shopping. I'm amazed at how the items I put in my cart look completely different these days. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Jacqui ~ Gosh you and FSA were sure up later last night. Do you gals get enough sleep every night? Or are you one of those people that can only sleep so many hours and then right back up? At any rate, good to see that you got dinner on time and stayed on plan. Then come in here and caught up with everything. Impressive dear!!!
Couch ~ Welcome aboard!
mtphotochick ~ Way to go on staying on plan and making time for your workout. I feel ya, on it feeling great. I think I'm addicted to the endorphins myself. Keep up the good work! :)
kswood87 ~ I love your positive attitude. Even when we have less than favorable days, it's nice to be as positive as we can about them. When we keep that with us, it makes it so much easier to push forward.
glutio ~ I'd probably go with the your weight at home, when you can slip into your birthday suit first thing in the morning and get a more accurate weight. Look forward to hearing your goal. :)
We had a great first day, plenty of threadergy. You ladies keep me enthusied daily. I don't know about you guys but keeping up to speed with our threads really keeps me focused on this journey. So let me thank each and every one of you. I swear, if I was a kazillionaire, when I lost the weight, I'd take us all on a private cruise, so we could all get into those bikini's and drive the men wild and just celebrate our new healthy, sexy lives.
So thanks again guys...YOU ALL ARE INDEED THE BEST OF THE BEST.

Dragonfly ~ Thank you! I like the blogging to, although these days I use my blog to keep up with calories and exercise, but I still blog on occasion as well. Keeps me focused! ;)
Jacque ~ My entire house is hard wood floors, minus the kitchen/dining room area and the bathroom, so having my living room carpeted now...it looks amazing! :carrot: The worst part was getting my extremely large TV scooted out of the living room so I could lay it down, but my ol' knees managed to get er done. It looks great! I should have added that to my exercise. It gave me an extra 300+ calories burned last night, which otherwise would be down time for me. It's just a shade lighter than my furniture so it looks really good. Oh my and actually doing the cardio this morning on it..was a dream. Those hard wood floors just killed my knees. ;)

After about ten months of trouble and sadness (my father died, I broke a bit of my knee, had an operation for it, and am STILL unable to walk up and downstairs, had killer hours at work, and, what else? oh yes, I GAINED 20 POUNDS between my aged father's death and today ...), I decided to start pulling myself out of the self-pity pot and get going ... SO
MY GOAL FOR THIS MONTH OF JUNE is to do Atkins' INDUCTION for a full four weeks. I hope I will lose about ten pounds, but the goal is simply to stay on INDUCTION.
I did Atkins about 6 years ago and lost 42 pounds and looked pretty great for some years. Then when my mother died I began eating junk again. Now I am now, dare i say it, almost 30 pounds heavier than when I did Atkins the last time -- yet i know that kicking the sugar and the white food is the only way forward for me, and that a major reduction of carbs can get me powered up.
SO -- that is where i am at today. So... can I join this JUne thread?

Congratulations Delphi! Two pounds is amazing.
Dragonfly, I use to keep a blog and loved the results. It's an additional way to stay accountable. Not to mention a great thing to look back on when you need motivation (ie your husband's head looks like a giant, talking twinky).
Welcome Ruby! The biggest issue I've always had with keeping weight off is just what you're talking about...the stresses of life. Though I will say it sounds like you had more than your fair share of stress in a short period of time.
As for me I had a major success and a few minor struggles yesterday. I'm never hungry during the day so I struggle to maintain calories but if I don't force myself to eat I get extremely hungry at night. It just takes a little effort to make sure I'm eating enough at meals and getting in healthy snacks during the day. I'm sure Ill get a good schedule in soon, just taking a bit of practice.
My major success was going with my husband and step-daughter to play tennis last night. We walked to the tennis courts, played for about half an hour (which is when our final ball made it over the fence into the impossible-to-get-to ravine) and walked back. I broke a serious sweat but enjoyed every second of it. It didn't "feel" like exercise which I love. I'm now looking into taking belly dancing classes ;).

Delphi-
Two pounds down is amazing!
Hi RubyJan -
I really sympathize with you. Seems like sometimes when it rains - it pours.
AtlGirl -
Speaking of pouring down rain...it's raining here so hard I'm going to have to forgo my morning walk.
I will try to fit it in later if it stops.
If not I'll kick into "winter snow bound & cabin fever exercise mode" and dance.
Belly dance is my favorite form indoor exercise
How is everyone this fine, fine morning? Fantastic I hope!
Are you ready for another fun filled weight loss/healthy living day girls? :D
MrsP~ Congrats on a great month last month! You did an awesome job girlie! I hear ya on the food challenges with travel--that always does me in! We're supposed to visit my dad & stepmom in TX here soon and I'm scared I'm going to binge! We'll see...good news is, their subdivision has a gym so I can work out! :yay:
Abielle~ :welcome3: to our little group! You're gunna love it! Jump right in, make yourself comfy! :)
Ang~ good to see you!! :) I know you'll be wearing those pants soon! WTG with the positive attitude girlie! Take it easy on that leg--we don't want you re-injuring it and being out even longer! One day at a time...
Lene~ Of course I'm proud of you!!! :D However, don't think I won't open up a can of whoop arse on ya if you start slackin' on your water! ;) LOL I'll join you on the HIIT program if you're game--which program are you going with? I am just doing the basic speed walk/jog/rest/jog...thing for now. I don't think I'm up for sprints just yet. ;) Did you take your vitamin this morning? :D
Gatorgirl~ good luck on the tests!! And just in case I forgot to say it, :welcome2:
Leigh~ good for you getting that workout in!! It feels so good to be able to say that you did it, especially if you didn't want to! ;)
Glutio~ I love your positive attitude! You WILL shed those pounds and we'll be here to cheer you on!!! :)
kswood~ :welcome: to you too! Sometimes you just have to splurge a little and it sounds like you had a wonderful time so it is what it is. I hope you have a fantastic week!! :)
mtphoto~ another :welcome3: going out to you! So many new names I can't keep track! Sounds like you're starting the month out fantastic! WTG!
Jacqui~ you know it girlie! A pound is a pound regardless of when it happens! ;)
Couch~ :welcome: I had to re-read your post when I saw that you wanted to be under 100kgs--I thought it was under 100 lbs! It's going to take a bit to get used to seeing kgs next to someone's ticker! :)
Delphi~ there you go, fresh out of the gate and runnin' with it! :celebrate: WTG girlie! You're starting off with a huge BANG! :carrot: Congrats on the new carpet, I wish we could redo our flooring--it's horrid! LOL, a kazillionare--I love it! I'd so be on that cruise!!! :)
Dragonfly~ :welcome2: Keep up the great work and you're bound to have a spectacular month! :)
Jacque~ glad to see I'm not the only one who needs help with converting kgs to lbs! ;)
RubyJan~ :welcome3: of course you can join--if you can keep up with all of us crazy chatters ;) So sorry to hear about your father. Depression gets the best of us hun, it's tough sometimes just to cope let alone eat and exercise like we should. Hang in there, you're on the right track and we'll be here with you cheering you on. Take it easy on that knee though--they're insanely long in healing and you don't want to rush it. :)
Atlgirl~ oh you'll be right at home here with the rest of us 'forgets to eat' girls. I've gotten much better about remembering to eat my mid-morning snacks, but still struggle with the afternoon one a bit. Eating at night will fall away once you start eating every few hours, plus, the healthier the food you eat, the less you'll crave the junk, kwim? Congrats on the tennis! I love when exercise doesn't feel like exercise!
FSA & NSM ~ Good morning girlies! Hope you had a great day yesterday!!! :)
Okay, man, personals are getting a little crazy!
Had a good day yesterday, although I started feeling a bit tired in the afternoon--something that used to happen all the time, but since I've started working out has lessened so I was a little surprised when I was dragging all afternoon.
Delphi would be proud of me, I woke up at 6:00 to get my HIIT session in!!! I would have been up earlier, but hubby overslept. It feels so good get my workout in so early and be showered and ready for the day by 8:00!!! I used to wake up early everyday--but once I had the girls that went out the window.
Heading out in a bit for a playdate and then I'll be back later to check in on everybody. Don't get too chatty girls--I want to be able to keep up with this crazy post! ;) LOL Just kidding, I love to see the energy of this lively group! And like Delphi said, coming here, seeing everyone's enthusiasm and energy--it just keeps me motivated and excited about the positive things I'm doing for myself and my health. :grouphug: I love our little group!!! :D
Okay girls, I need to get going, but be sure to...
Drink Your Water!!!! :D

Ang~ great job yesterday and WTG avoiding the ice cream! I love ice cream! Love, love, love it! You've got some great will power there girl!
The reason I'm back: I forgot to mention a pretty big milestone for me! I went out and bought...are you ready? This is huge! I mean, giant! I bought myself new...seriously, aren't you just dying from the anticipation? I know, it's crazy right? Okay, so here it comes...New Panties!!! Oh yes I did! And ya know what? I HAD to! I had to because my great big ol granny panties were getting way too roomy on me! :D So, I went out and bought a smaller size and went for the bikini briefs!!! :o I gotta say, I'm lovin' them! ;)
Okay, so, anyway, I was just thrilled to finally be able to buy some semi-cute panties so I had to share. I knew you ladies would understand. :D

It's just one of the many fabulous prizes you are playing for in this June weight loss challenge, lol!
Dragonfly, great job staying OP!! And good for you starting a blog! Great idea! :cp:
AtlGirl, great job keeping track of getting those calories in!! If you have trouble keeping up with your calories during the day, it's no wonder you feel like eating more than just a snack at night, so I'm so glad to see you're on top of it now! WTG chickie! And, yay, it sounds like you had fun playing tennis!! Oh and great idea with the :belly: classes!! :cp:
Susie, you know how to :belly: too? I once bought a video to learn, but it got lost in our move last year, and I still haven't found it, lol! What I do remember about it is that it's a lot harder than it looks! It's quite an art!
Ang, great job staying OP yesterday and avoiding ice cream!! That's not an easy feat, lol! :cp:

Delphiii, congratulationssssssss on the 2lb. loss :carrot::carrot::cheer2::cheer2: andddddddd on your new carpeting! :). wtg chicky! Regarding the sleeping, I have always been a night time person, even when I had to get up quite early for school and work for years....I still never went to bed too early (earlier than though). I'm a strange bird though delphi, I change according to the weather sometimes. I tend to go to bed a little earlier in the winter. Congrats once again girl :)
Jacqui, yes DH enjoys to walk with me and he does so on many occassions. When he can't (the guy is so active as it is) I still go on my own on the route. I went right to bed after too! Hope you slept well. Did you see how many posts there are just from the ti me we went to bed? Have a great day girl.
Hi Dragonfly, wtg on a good OP day, congrats on the blog. Thanks for the well wishes, good luck to you as well :).
Hi Jacqueee :)
RubyJan, you have been through a lot  Oh yes, absolutely you may join. I hope you post regularly, it will help you in more ways than one. My dad pulled through so we are very fortunate, it was a miracle. He had a massive heart attack 1 yr. 8 months ago. They didn't think he would make it but after a long road to recovery (I'll spare you the details) he pulled through. I would pick mom up every day and we were at the hospital all the time. when I got home, I would research for hours (his condition was very complicated) so I could keep up with the docs and I did pretty damn good but sleeping only 2 hrs. a night for many many months (same with ma) took a toll in the end. I gained 30lbs. in one year! 20 at first, and then another 10 when dad finally made it h ome and I finally went for a checkup. My b.p was so high they put me on medicine (I gained 10 lbs. in a month). P.S-I started taking care of myself, cut the salt, and very slowly weaned myself off the med, p.b normal today). I literally could not function with it and this time last year I was afraid to even move let alone exercise, they scared the **** out of me and told me to watch for a stroke (I had chest pains one day but that was from lack of sleep and stress I beleive). Took me a good long while before I could gather myself and get back to taking care of myself. I'm sorry for you loss and your injury  On another note, I am happy that you are making that first step back and you came to the right place to do it! :). So glad you found us here Ruby Jan.
Altgirl, wtg on the tennis! It sounds like you had a great time yet you sure got in some awesome exercise. Oh I think that's cool that your looking into bellydancing :belly: It is a beautiful form of dance and from what I read, super exercise! :)
susiemartin, great idea on the indoor dancing,, go girl go! :carrot::carrot:
Hicrazymamaof4, good to see you girl :) Glad your feeling better. wtg on getting up early and being done at such an early time. :carrot::carrot: I might have to start doing that too, it's summer now and it would be good for me to do my exercises earlier so then I can go out and play or soak up some rays :sunny: rays ;)... congrats on the new pantiesssssss (I need to do that too). wtg girl :)
ang, yay! Great job on a good OP day yesterday :carrot::carrot: wtg girl.
I have to run, more on me later girls. I hope you all have an awesome day. It's gorgeous here today. I have so me things to do around the house and then I like to get outdoors. Keep up the great work everyone :).

Wow! I run out to run errands and goodgolly at the posts. :carrot: I am so proud of you gals. You have no idea, how good it makes me feel to see you guys working so hard. :bravo:
RubyJan ~ Welcome to our group! Sounds like you have been through some tough trials but let me tell ya, regardless of your tribulation you CAN move forward dear. Oh and you should be able to click on your ticker and it take you to the URL for it.
FSA ~ Hey you!!!! You have you tons of fun today. Wow that's a whole heap of pounds. This group simply amazes me daily! All of you gals rock. How's the new eating plan going?
Jacqui ~ Grrrrrrrrrrrrreat! Good to hear that. :carrot: Have fun at the Y and wink at a sexy trainer for me while your there. Don't forget your lunch! :)
Crazymomma ~ :carrot: :broc: :carrot: Oh my, you ARE bringing sexy back. Good for you! I'm envious though. I can't wait to get into some sexy stuff. Oh lordy that will be the day....watch out world. I'm liable to go running down my street in nothing but my unmentionables, I'll be so darn happy. LMAO!  You are doing soooo well and you're right, I am so darn proud of you. I love working out in the morning and like you said, you are pretty much set for the day before the kids even get up. I love it! Plus I have so much energy, but does tend to wear down around five though.
canadianangel ~ Way to go with staying on plan chicky! :carrot: :carrot:
susiemartin ~ Thank you kindly. Urg...the rain puts a downer on outdoor exercise, but man that belly dancing stuff sounds interesting. Do you use a dvd or do you take classes?
AtlGirl ~ Thanks! I have a bit of a problem getting mine in as well, hence my goal this month. However, I've added more protein to my diet, especially for dinner, as it tends to keep you fuller for a longer period of time and the water. I can't stress that enough. Fill that belly up with plenty of water especially during dinner. :)

Well, I got up early this morning to get in some last minute studying. My test isn't until tonight, so I pretty much have all day. Right when I got up, I thought about you girls and poured myself a big ol' glass of water. I'm normally not good about getting all my water, so if this thread only does that one thing for me, then it should be a success. I have another test tomorrow, so my life will be all work and no play until then. I think I will try to get to the gym tonight after this test. I hate having to study for two tests at once. I would much rather be able to study for one and take it, then start on the next. That doesn't work well when you only have 24hrs between the two. Oh well, I'm off to study.
Canadian~ How did you break you leg and how long ago? I am recovering from a broken ankle, so its nice to talk to people who are or were in a similar situation.

Hey ya all, Good Morning,
I was excited to weigh this morning and found out my scale is not turning on. Pretty upsetting. However I am still trucking along. No carbs for 4 weeks and 4 days.

Gatorgirl...good luck with your upcoming test! I actually grew up in the Gainesville area. Oddly enough the traffic is worse in Gainesville than it is here in Atlanta. Especially Archer Ave. on a Friday night O.O

I am still not sure about my starting weight. I still feel bloated and weight-altered in ways that aren't really valid (ok, I'll say it, I've got belly issues after all that crap food!) I was down 2.5 lbs this morning at home from YESTERDAY morning, and I think I've got a little more to go before I'm at my reality SW.
Whatever that settles down to, my major June goal is to hit 269 lbs. At the rate I'm recovering from the weekend, I should be halfway there by Friday! Ha.

I was so sore this morning, but I made myself get out of bed and head to the gym! I am so out of shape that it kills me, I about died on the elliptical machine. But I just keep thinking that it will all pay off and before long I will be zumming along.

bahecasmart ~ Welcome aboard! :)
Gatorgirl ~ Way to go on getting that water in. It is definitely an effective tool for weight loss and living healthy. I hear ya on the studying for two tests at the same time. That is a huge pain, but you can do it girly!
dollypie ~ That's great. Taking the initiative to push through. But listen to your body dear. If you are sore you may want to focus on a different muscle group to let the other ones heal. Drink plenty of water to speed up the repair process as well.
glutio ~ Yeah, weighing at home at optimal times is always better than weighing mid day. Keep working at it..you are doing great!
Blondie ~ That is unfortunate. Any plans to get a new one?
Well I think I'll go play me some Wii. I hope you ladies are enjoying your day. :)

OMGosh, FSA, 80 lbs! That's a LOT because there were many people who did not report their weight loss! Just think what we can do this month! :cheer: I finally went to sleep probably somewhere around 3 am and then woke up at 8:45, so I got my sleep in, but that's not really the schedule I would choose to follow, lol! I'd like to wake up at 6 am, eat breakfast and get all my exercise in, even on strength training days that take a couple of hours, by 9 am. I think that would be ideal. And there are some phases that I go through in which I do wake up early every day, but I happen to be on a stay awake until 2-3 am phase right now! The staying up late is really not good for me with my conditions so it'd be nice if I could fall asleep earlier, lol!

Girls,
I am :running: like mad just to try to keep up with all the posts!!!!
Have to go pick up DDs from school and start the after school driving marathon so I can't do personals this morning but I'll try to get back later.
No movement from the scale this morning-at least it didn't go up!-so I just continue to work and wait. I am thinking that although I am a religious weigh every day girl I might want to try and go 2 days, then maybe 3, .....so it doesn't bum me out so much in the morning. :p
Hope everyone is having a super-fantastic day!!!!

:welcome: Behecasmart!! I've added you to the list! Good to have you! Good luck!
RubyJan, great job staying OP all day today!! :carrot: About the ticker, for some reason, if I try to click on mine, it gives me an error message, so I just go up to the purple bar at the top of the page and click on User CP and then click on Signature in the menu to the left and you can edit it from there.
Delphi, I was just responding to a post by FSA, and by the time I sent it, there was a page full of posts, lol! It's kind of exciting, like you never know what to expect, lol! Ooo, lunch, thanks, hmm, it's 2:30. Do I still eat lunch or just let it go and eat a snack at this point? I'll go to the kitchen and see what jumps out at me! :) Thanks for reminding me!!
Good job on the water, Gator! Yes, we are big on water around here, lol!
Blondie32, great job on being carb-less for so long!! You are rocking your plan!! You should ask Crazymamaof4 about her scale. She bought one last month and really likes it.
Glutio, if I were you, I'd just list what your weight is from the first day of June and go from there! No reason to penalize yourself and not get to count the lbs you're working to take off! If you put them on, you have to take them off--it's all legit!
Dollypie, WTG!! Keep at it!! You will indeed be humming along before you know it!! Good job!! :cp:
Urock, no gain is a plus!! That means you are doing things right! No reason to be bummed out! Celebrate!! :carrot:

Urockmom ~ Get some lady! You are doing well. You are not gaining and that is indeed a groovy thing. It's probably water anyways. ;) I hope you are having a rockin' day as well.

Hi  Girlies!!!!
Urock~ have fun with your shuttle service again today :D I am a daily weigher and I write it at the top page of my journal. If I gained I look back at the day before and write a side note as to what I feel caused it. Plus then I can account for how my weight fluctuates during my cycle.
Jacqui~ Good afternoon sunshine!!:flow2: I think I should add my vitamin to my goal if you don't mind. You are right about eating healthy makes you think less about food. I can't believe I've gotten to the point where I am skipping meals, it's craziness! Did YOU eat yet??? Did you get your water in? Cuz if you didn't CMO4 is coming for ya! Oh I forgot to tell you I had green tea yesterday. Aaahhh, very soothing..
dollypie~ Great job getting the workout in! :carrot: It really will payoff!
Glutio~ That's the reality of bad food weekends. I was on that wagon too many times and it's just not worth it. :dizzy:
blondie~ Darn scale! I hate when that happens.
gatorgirl~ Good luck on your test!!!!:crossed:
bahecasmart :welcome3:
Ruby~ I am so sorry for all that you have been through the last year. I'm glad you decided to take the step forward>>> by the end of this month you can feel like a whole new person.
Kswood~ Drink up!! Glad you had a good time with DH! :)
Mtphoto~ You are kicking booty!!:cp: Your birthday on the 27th gives you plenty of time to do some amazing workouts and see results by them. Keep it up!! :goodvibes
Couch~ I just feel so comfortable around you, like I already know you. Being around you just makes me want to kick back and relax!! Did you get it, cuz you're a couch?? Just kidding!!! Don't be scared about challenging yourself. You can do this and we can help! Good luck to you!
Delphi~ Wahoo on the 2lbs. :cheer: You are so very awesome!!! Congrats on the new carpet too. I bet it looks great! I did my first round of HIIT last night. I'll tell you I almost didn't even workout at all. I have been feeling just burned out from the craziness of life/work but I did it and I'm glad I did. Hey, I saw you take a supplement for cartilage? Have you been doing that long? What do you take? I really need something for my knee.
Altgirl~ One day I'll be brave enough to :belly:. My Dh and I took the kids to play tennis on SUnday and it is a great workout. (especially when you suck as bad as we do :D)
Sandye~ Hi ya dollface!!! I just finished my 32ozs bottle before I wrote to you, makes 64 today. I'm afraid you are going to go all :nono: and :drill: and this :club: on me! :D I am doing the HIIT on my elliptical most days but will do it as a walk/run on nice days to shake it up. I would LOVE for us to do it together. I saw it is recommended to only doing HIIT every other day?? Is that your plan? I was thinking of rotating that with strength training. Let me know your plan. OH, oh, oh!!! I just saw your post about the panties :o. :cp:That's what it's all about sister, getting out of the granny panties. (although they are so comfy with over sized sweats:p)
Ang~ Great job resisting the temptation of the ice cream! Your thighs said thank you!! :)
I better send this before it disappears. Have a great afternoon chicks!

Delphi, I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalsia. Fibromyalsia is an autoimmune disease that flares up when you don't sleep deeply at night and the soft connective tissue fibers in your body never quite relax all the way and they start to tear as a result. Rheumatoid arthritis is not a real arthritis caused by injury to the joints but an autoimmune disease also. It affects the joints in a symmetrical way. If one knee is affected, the other knee will be affected too, etc., so it needs lots of healthy sleep too. I am lucky in that I have it under control, and although I hurt somewhat everyday, I'm used to it, and I am only in real agony when one or the other condition flares. Then my body literally shuts down. I don't take meds (it's a mind-over matter thing for me, otherwise known as sheer stubbornness, lol), unless they flare to the point that like I can't move my arms or something, so I really do have to take care of myself. Sleep is one of the most important ways. Some of the ladies already know this about me, but I guess it never came up in last month's thread! When I first joined the Y in April, I was complaining that I could not feel the results of working out, the sore muscles you know, because my everyday RA and fibro aches and pains simply masked it, lol! But every once in a while, especially since I've started upping my weights, I can feel it. Also some weights I will never be able to up because my joints won't allow it. It's really no big deal. I'm so used to it that most of the time I forget I have it! Only every once in a while does it remind me! :D

Lene ~ I take cartilage formula (http://www.pharmanex.com/corp/product/solutions/cartilageformula.shtml)in conjunction with the lifepak nano (http://www.pharmanex.com/corp/product/lifepak/lifepaknano.shtml). Both of them I get from the same company, I got my armband from. I can't say I feel a difference in my joints yet but I definitely can with the nano. It's actually really neat. It is overall the best beefed up multivitamin I've ever taken. Not only is it a multivitamin, it promotes overall good health by the enhanced molecular delivery system that actually gets the vitamins and nutrients that you need to all the right places and my hair and skin have never looked better. Good stuff! I've been taking it for about month religiously and love it! Great job on getting that exercise in, even when you really didn't want to. How do you like your elliptical? If you don't mind me asking what brand is it? Features? I'm in the market for one.
Jacqui ~ Well I salute you my good woman! Fighting through this journey and making so much progress is simply amazing to me. Wow, jacqui...simply WOW and bravo! :)

Lene, I've added your vitamin goal!! Good for you! I've eaten all but lunch! I did forget lunch but I'm allowed to forget one meal under my goal as long as I don't miss two! So, so far today I've had breakfast (oatmeal with blueberries, hard-boiled egg, and yogurt--I pretty much eat the same breakfast every morning) a mid-morning snack (apple and string cheese), a mid-afternoon snack (cherries and yogurt) and I am right on schedule to eat dinner and an after-dinner snack! I will admit, however, that you girls remind me to eat an awful lot when I might have forgotten otherwise! It's a work in progress! But see!! It IS easy to forget when you are eating right, isn't it?! So the big question is, have YOU eaten today?! Lol!

Delphi~ Thanks for the info on the nano. I'm going to have to look into it. My elliptical is by Ironman and it's big and fully loaded with the arm pulley things on it too. Features: Heart rate, allows you to program different users stats, weighs you, can change resistance/intervals, can select different modes by time/distance/or program and of course the fan. :D It was around $750/800 but was a gift. I really need to get the book out and figure out how to change the setting. The resistance is hard. If I go to the gym I can be on the ellip for an hour no problem. It is a struggle to use this one for even 20 minutes. (feel the burn) Even when I was running 3+ miles at a time I struggled on this machine. But it feels so good when I'm done which is why I haven't looked too hard for the owner's manual. :D

Thanks for adding my new goal!

Jacqui: I am taking a page from your book and doing the 2 window thing just to get caught up with everyone! You are so right on the thread getting too long for me to catch up on the weekends. I had the same issue every Monday!!
FSA: The nutrisystem is working great for me. I was really bad when it came to making food choices and I needed something with structure to guide me with what to eat when (especially keeping all those fruits and vegetable servings up). The food is nothing fancy, but I can live with it as long as it helps me lose the weight :).
Canadianangel: Glad to see you back, keep us posting on those size 14's!
Lene: Thanks for the tip. I will start journaling on the weekend, I am sure I will think twice about what I put in my mouth if I have to write it down. Now I just have to carry a notebook with me all the time so I have no excuses.
Great goals for you BTW!
Gatorgirl: How did the exam go?
glutio: I hear you on the weekend stuff. I find that a lot of the gain is just water weight and I can get rid of it in a few days if I am good with my water.
kswood: Seems like you enjoyed what you ate, and you are taking it all in stride. Good for you! Now it's time to keep moving forward.
mtphotochick: Sounds like you did great, Good Job!
Delphi: You actually did the carpet yourself? I'd be too scared to get it all crooked LOL. I hear you on the grocery cart. Now I am actually proud of it!

AtlGirl: Sounds like you had fun playing tennis, I tried it once but I have no hand-eye coordination so my DH gave up on me haha.
susiemartin: Do you do a particular belly dancing workout? I have been curious about it for ages.
CMo4:  You know what? Now everytime I pour myself a new glass of water I think of you!. Woohoo on the panties!
Now you can be sexy all over ;)
Blondie: Sorry about your scale, maybe it's just the battery?
dollypie: That's right.. All the soreness is worth it, and it does get better too :)
I actually was POP yesterday! and it seems like the scale is finally starting to move in the right direction again. Now I really have to buckle down and keep the loss going until next Monday!!
I have to go do stuff but I will catch up with you all later today...I can't wait a whole day to check in or there'll be like 1000 new posts!

Delphi, if they have Celestial Seasonings green tea with honey lemon gingseng, get it. I really like the flavor and Celestial Seasonings is supposed to have the most anti-oxidants. Don't go decaf. That process strips the anti-oxidants. I usually love Twinings hot teas, but oh, I do NOT like their green tea. And same goes for Lipton, ew. Too grassy tasting for me. If your store does not have Celestial Seasonings with lemon, and you do get one with a grassy taste, just add a few drops of lemon juice. That will take it right out. C'mon girl, you're a tea drinker! Hot's not that different. It's very soothing! You can do it! :cheer3: Lol! Green tea is very healthy, and an appetite suppressant, not that you need one!!
NSM, we just might hit 1000 posts this month at this rate! Wouldn't that be awesome?! OMGosh, I LOL'ed when you told CMof4 "Woohoo on the panties!" LOL!! IDK, there's something about that phrase that just cracks me up!! Woohoo on the panties! LOL!!

At your encouragement, my June 1 weigh in was 284 at home. It was 282 this morning. I think I'm really just constipated (eep!) from the weekend, I can feel the need to go but I'm having trouble getting there. I just don't want to move my ticker up! Wow, thanks so much for the welcome!
I completely understand about the kilos being odd. I can't think in pounds at all - I have very little concept of what a number in pounds means. (any of you under 200lb - well there is a girl in Sydney who assumes you are all skinny!). I have to divide your weights by 2.2 on my calculator to have a good idea of what a particular weight represents. So I'll convert as I go - just pay attention to the numbers in the brackets.
But that brings me to my exciting news - I've already lost 1kg (2.2lb) in the first 2 days of June! I'm now at 103.1kg (226.8lb), and getting under 100kg (220lb) seems possible - even probably.
Woot!

 girls!
:welcome: to all the newbies!
OMG today has been.....one hassle after another. It comes in threes, ya know? First, my phone is totally kaput so I'm without a cellphone. Then, after I TOLD HER that I would be picking up the check, the old realtor secretary put my deposit check in the freakin mail. Finally, I had to reinstall my whole Windows operating system. Which wouldn't have been so bad if the damn Dell people had just told me in the first place that was what I needed to do instead of dragging it on for over two weeks! :censored:
So sorry I haven't been around. Hopefully, this is the end of the computer (brandfreakinnew!) drama.
It's always something with me, isn't it?
BTW, Jacqui, you don't need to add those 1400 mins to the exercise thread. It's actually my July 4th goal. :)

:carrot:Good Morning Ladies:carrot:
Velveteen ~ Hey sweetie...OF COURSE it's ok to join. We would love to have you aboard. How have you been?
Rubyjan ~ Sounds like you had a great day and you are well on your way. :)
FSA ~ Did you get to sleep on time?
Jasonlea ~ Oh honey, don't get me started on Dell customer service. Had my puter a week and tried to call customer service, who by the way I couldn't understand, but then he went a step further to tell me, that my name wasn't registered to the computer and he couldn't help me, blah blah blah, and then the S.O.B hung up on me. So I can definitely relate. Good to see you back. :)
babes ~ :carrot: Good job staying on plan yesterday!
Couch ~ :carrot: :broc: :carrot: Way to go on the pound dropage! You are definitely in line to hitting your goal this month. :congrat: and keep up the groovy work.
Sarahmommy ~ :welcome: to the June challenge!
Supachix ~ You know, I agree! This group is simply amazing isn't it? Sending big 's right back at cha girly. How are things?
LE ~ Where are you girly? I love your new avatar pic!
Jacqui ~ Breakfast is calling you chicky!
Urockmom ~ Today is your day! Hopefully, things wont be so busy and you can get some "me" time in..you so deserve it.
Jacque ~ You keep up the excellent work!:wl::ebike:
Day three ladies and every one is doing great. :carrot: I am up and almost down another pound. Today is my treadmill/strength training day, so I'm pumped. A little concerned about how I'm gonna mix in some high calorie days and still keep my 1000 calorie deficit on those days. But it's really been working for me and keeping my metabolism confused. I think I'll go for a high calorie day today since I'll have 105 minutes of exercise in today.
Yesterday, I was needing a boost around 2. My metabolism flat lined from then on. I had been out in the sun all day with the boys. Plus while they are out there swimming or what not, I'll do laps around my driveway, it's not much, but it keeps me moving..right? But I still had a good day. That hour of cardio really does wonders for my metabolism after I'm finished. It's like the energizer bunny until the lad needs to take a breather.
Did great on water, exercise and stayed on plan and don't see anything getting in my way at all. I can have a really bad day and still try to stay focused on my goals. I guess ever since Canaan came a long, I have been given this new found outlook on life, so when i want something and want it as bad as I do with the weightloss, no one can stop me. I'm too stubborn to fail. I will not give up. I will not let circumstance dictate my thoughts or moods. I will not succumb to temptation. I will not stop until I hit my goal! Period.
I know I'm rambling, but I'm waiting on my food to digest a bit so I can hop on the treadmill...so you guys are stuck with my uberlong post. So there!!
I understand not everyone has an easy time with weight loss, that many things can affect the way we feel daily and ultimately affect our journey. It's difficult and at times a pain in the butt, and you wanna throw in the towel, but if you REALLY want this, then don't let anything stop you. I got really discouraged that week I didn't lose a pound. All my hard work and calculations were worthless. Regardless, there was no way I was gonna do anything to jeopardize my progress. I figured it would straighten itself out, so I stayed on plan, stayed active on our threads and just concentrated on moving forward, even if I was at a standstill.
You have to ask yourself, do you really want this? Do you answer that question with a simple yes? Or can you give me a **** Yeah? ;) Ladies, we have one **** of a road of ahead of us. It will not be easy. However, if we do this together, it will make the journey, that much more easier. We can change, we can make it to the finish line, we WILL see our goals. We simply need to keep our focus, support each other on the good and bad days and we need to remember to enjoy life during the process. Remember your smile. Find your laughter. Focus on the positive and denounce the negative and never let a day go by, without taking a look in the mirror and telling yourself, YOU CAN DO THIS!!!
I honestly believe each and every one of you can reach your goals if you are willing to endure the trials, move forward and work your butt off for it..hehe literally.
Alright, that's all the time I have. Time to go turn on the treadmill and pop in a movie and kick up some tread. You ladies have a superawesome day and whatever you do, don't forget your smiles. :) :) :)

Delphi, thanks for that inspiration...I'm having a rough day, up another pound and not feeling great about my progress. But you're right, if you ask me if I want this, the answer is not "yeah, a little," it's **** YEAH. My goals are attainable and I will not stop until I reach them. That should be enough to keep me on track, now I just have to learn to be as stubborn as you!!

Morning all :)
I'm feeling good and ready to start a new day.
I need to do some baking today so I'm going to be extra vigilant and do it in the morning instead of the afternoon.
I'm strong, determined and hardcore on program in the mornings.
But often in the afternoons I tend to slip. Afternoons are the hard time of day for me. It can be a time of day I tend to start binging.
Planning for success and being honest with myself is half the battle with me :)
Hope you all have a WONDERFUL DAY!

Michelle ~ Ha! My stubbornness is a good and bad thing. The key for me is finding the balance. I sure am glad it helped. You have come a long way and you still fight the good fight daily and you are NOT giving up. Focus rather on your successes, they are indeed worth celebrating. Now go out there and enjoy the **** out of your day! :)
Susiemartin ~ Water, water and more water! If you have trouble with the evenings, then perhaps this is the time when you should try getting a good portion of your water in. It suppresses your hunger! ;)
Jacqui ~ Woohoo on the panties!! Great job on eating breakfast kiddo! Bravo! :)

NSM, woohoo on the panties! Thanks for the great catch phrase! Lol!
Thank you, Delphi, for talking me into making not forgetting to eat a goal, because it does make a difference! :cp: I wanted to ask you, how are you going about calorie shifting? What numbers are you using? I imagine 1200 calories make up your low days?

Jacqui ~ Yeah, well I am going up to 1400 with my shift. If you have time, take a look at my Calories In/Out page on my blog, you can kind of get an idea how I'm doing. Last month I had some really low cal days, which is why, I set that as my goal this month to NOT go below, I know its dangerous.

For the love of Peter, Paul and Mary! You ladies just never stop chatting do you? ;) Hee hee! I'm never going to get caught up at this rate! Forget about waking up early to exercise--I'm going to need to wake up early just to catch up here!
Okay, lemme try to do a few personals...*deep breath*...okay, here goes nothin'!
First of all let me say thanks to everyone who understood the looniness of my sharing the new panty buying thrill. It's not everyday that I can announce to the world that I'm no longer wearing granny panties and have people cheering me on. So thanks for the congrats girls! :)
Jacqui ~ Hope you're getting some better sleep! I used to be a total night owl before I started all this--not anymore! I went to bed at 9:30 last night *yawn*!!! But I know what you mean, I went through phases too where I'd stay up all night and then be dragging the next day. Psst...have you eaten breakfast yet? :D
FSA ~ I was curious as to how many pounds we had lost collectively in May--80 lbs is a lot! That's more than my 8 yr old weighs! We lost more than a whole person!!!
Delphi ~ Oh MY! Running down the street in your unmentionables? Now won't that be a sight! You better be sure to have some burly bodyguards nearby to beat back the masses of hunky men who'll want to chase after you! ;) And yeah, "woo hoo on the panties" :lmao: Oh My Goodness!! Hahahaha Who knew my new panties would be the source for a new catch phrase?! *snort* Thank you for the super encouraging words, I love your uber long posts--so keep 'em coming!! And do I really want to do this? **** YEAH!! :D
Gatorgirl~ I hope your test went well and that the upcoming one goes well also!! Keep up the hard work and it'll be over in no time! Bravo for getting your water in first thing in the morning! Keep that up and I won't have to get nutso on you for not drinking your water! ;)
Blondie~ bummer about the scale! Time for a new one! Congrats on making it so long without carbs!! Back when I did Atkins (10 years ago now) that was so hard on me!
Glutio~ tummy troubles are the worst! And isn't just rotten luck when you have them during a time you need to know what your weight is? Sundays are my official WI and measurement taking day, as luck would have it, I was bloated as all get out last Sunday! Argh! I was almost an inch and a half smaller in the waist on Monday! Ah well, no biggie, but it still stinks! Hope you're feeling better soon!
Dollypie~ :carrot:Good for you girl! That's the way to do it! Before long you'll be hitting that eliptical and breezing through it! Just keep it up and soon it'll become a habit you can't break! :)
URockMom~ yeah, weighing in daily can be a bummer when you see the same numbers day after day...do whatever makes you happy girl! Me, I need to see those numbers daily! It totally keeps me on track. When I decide not to step on the scale in the morning, it's usually because I'm getting sick and tired of the whole 'eating healthy, exercising thing' and I'm ready to hop off the wagon. You're doing the right thing--plugging along staying on plan--it'll pay off! :)
Lene~ Heya girlie! OMGoodness I was dyin' when I read that you're afraid I'm going to go all comando on you about your water! You're rockin' that water girl!! :celebrate: Yay! I'm glad to have a HIIT partner! :) Although I bet you'll be tearin' it up on your elliptical while I'm stuck looking like a drunk monkey huffing and puffing during my jogs outside. ;) Either way--:yay: Yes, I read that you do HIIT 3X a week, and I'm alternating my strength training also. M,W,F ~ ST'ing, T,TH,S ~ HIIT Sun ~ Off (which I still haven't wrapped my head around yet--it's been over a month since I had a day off of exercise!!!). Here's a cool website on HIIT~ http: //www .intervaltraining .net/index.html I'm doing the Lose your Belly Fat workout. PM me if you wanna chat HIIT k? Btw, what kind of ST'ing are you doing? Psst...did you take your vitamin today? :)
NSM~ Awww, I'm so proud of you! Now everytime you fill up your glass--picture me jumping up and down like a loon in a cheerleader's outfit k? I'll be screaming: Gimme a N, Gimme a S, Gimme a M--what's that spell? NSM! Seriously though, glad to hear you're getting your water in, it really is so important!!! :) Congrats on the loss girlie!! You're on your way!!!
Gekster~ :welcome: You're going to love it here!
Nello~ bummer about your Sensewear! Keep at it though, it sounds like you're doing a great job!
Jodi~ so glad to see you over on the June thread!!! :hugs: girl!
Saramommy~ glad to see you!!
Couch~ Congrats on the loss! Woo hoo!
Babes~ WTG staying on plan--have you caught up yet? ;) Man, this thread is crazy long isn't it? LOL
Shari~ girl, don't you hate weeks like that? Sorry to hear you've been having computer issues--I know all about that--ugh! Glad to see you! :)
RubyJan~ Congrats on Day 1!! You're doing great, keep it up!! :)
Velveteen~ :welcome: Another Kg poster huh? Well, sooner or later I'll figure it out! ;) Kick off your shoes and make yourself at home! :)
Michelle~ don't worry about that pound--just shake it off, you keep at this and you WILL make your goal!!! You CAN do it!!
Susie~ ooh baking is the devil! I love to bake but while I'm in the losing phase of my new lifestyle, I can't. I'll need to take baby steps back into it. But you'll do great! Hey, if you start to feel like binging this afternoon--just come back here and we'll snap ya out of it! :D
OMGosh! I did it! I sure hope I didn't miss anyone! Whew, that was a workout in and of itself! ;)
So how is everyone this gloomy, wet and rainy morning? Yes, yet another storm is sitting over us and so it looks like our plans for heading to the park have been cancelled. Ah well, I do have stuff to do here anyway and having to stay home will maybe motivate me to do it. Maybe. ;)
I am dyin' over the new catch phrase ladies! Who knew me buying new panties would spark something like that?
Not much new to report. Sitting at 171.6 today, up a little from Monday, down a pinch from yesterday. I got in lots of veggies yesterday so I'm making progress there. I feel sort of weird with this new exercise plan...I feel like I'm not doing enough. Ladies who do strength training, could you share what your routine looks like? I'm following the Body for Life exercise plan and I'm just not sure if it's enough, kwim?
I wanted to encourage the newbies to take their measurements! I talked about this back in May too ladies and it really does help you to keep track of how your body is changing. It also helps when you don't see your scale moving at all! Muscle weighs more than fat, we all know that, but sometimes when that scale won't budge, it's hard to wrap your head around it. If you are making good food choices and exercising--change is happening! You might not see it on the scale, but if you check your measurements, you might be pleasantly surprised. :) So take your measurements!!! Believe me, it might be tough at first, but just think how great it'll feel in a month when you tally up your inches lost!! :carrot:
Speaking of inches lost: I'm wearing size 14 pants!!! :carrot: Woo hoo! Finally, I'm starting to be able to wear Larges and 14s!!!! Crazy how I've lost 25 lbs and I'm just now down a pant size huh? Oh well, it took a while, but it's finally starting to happen!
Okay girls, I gotta go, but I leave you with this:
Ladies, today when you go out into the world, be sure that you have with you your WATER! And when you have your WATER with you, you shall DRINK it! Ya got it? Yeah? Okay then,
Woo Hoo on the panties!!! **** Yeah!!! :D

OK, now I have finally got all my windows squared away so I can get caught up with everyone.
Susiemartin~ Oh! How I hear you on the morning! Morning: I am tough, dedicated, woman hear me roar (humming Helen Reddy). Afternoon: Hmm, I am a little hungry. Evening: Give me the food!!!! ;)
Michelle~ Good for you for sticking with it and being stubborn when the scale is being a rat fink ba&%*@#. Hang tough chickie!!!
Delphi~ Thanks for the inspiration! You keep us all motivated!
Velveteen~ Welcome! Sounds like you have very attainable goals for the month and we are happy to help you achieve them!
RubyJan~ Congrats on the good day. One at a time, all strung together, lead us to.....GOAL!!!
Nello & Babes~ Congratulations on your OP days yesterday and keep up the good work today! We are right there with you! :carrot:
Jacqui~ YEAH!!! You remembered your breakfast!!! (I take heart at the little things and get overwhelmed by the big stuff! :o) Oh, and thanks for the tips on the green tea that you shared. I am going to give it a go.
Lene~ Can I join you and Sandye on the HIIT train? I usually try to do it every other day, on the day opposite of my strength training. I do a 1 min HI/ 2 min recovery routine. What are you doing?
CMo4~ OK, so I had to go back 4!!! pages to figure our what Delphi was talking about with the panties and it was yesterday! :woohoo: for you and your panties. I did the same thing along the way and was sooooo excited. Now, I am holding out for this month's goal and then there will be new lingerie. :o I haven't set foot in Victoria's Secret in at least a decade but I am planning a major spree. My DH won't know what hit him!
I am off to strength train this am and then will do cardio this evening. Let's have a fantastic :flow2: day ladies!!! (Oh, still no scale movement but I will remain :strong: and battle forward.) :goodvibes to everyone today.

I am going to second her motion to have everyone, especially the newbies, take your measurements!!!
Personally, I have lost over 28 inches on my journey. Do you hear me ladies? 28 inches!!!! And you know what, on days when the scale is not being my friend, I look at that paper with those measurements and feel :carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot:!

Crazymomma ~ :carrot: :broc: :carrot: Woohoo on the panties! 14's ..eh? Wow, :congrat: You are doing it lady! You know I did strength training on my own the other day and well I felt like I didn't do enough so today I'm gonna go back to the strength training on the My Fitness Coach. I was so sore after doing it the last time, I was scared to try it again...but I'll be danged if I'm gonna let that virtual babe scare me. So I guess I can't really give you any advice on it. I guess for me I need more structure so I know I'm actually getting a work out. You're doing wonderful ...regardless! :)
Urockmom ~ You know, I've NEVER even been in a Victoria secret.:o Plus, as you guys know, I'm not to fond of men at the moment, so I really wouldn't have any use for it, unless I do go running up the road. I'll post my arrest information and news article when that happens though. Kudos to you for staying so positive and keeping at it. I want soooooooo badly to see you guys succeed. I think I want you guys to hit your goals more than I want to him my own. :) 28 inches is such a feat! WOW..and WOW again..and an extra WOW just cause. ;) Great job dear...great job indeed!
