Default Suddenly having a lot of stomach troubles.

My husband used to joke that I had "guts o' steel" I could eat an entire bushel of broccoli and onions an not even have a gas bubble.

I think those days are behind me . It feels like ever since I hit onederland everything gives me a tummy ache. I feel yucky. I had to leave work on Friday because my tummy was hurting so bad. It took a lot of pepto and a good night's rest to get things back under control.

It just feels "off". I don't think I've ever had tummy troubles before. It just hurts! Is there something wrong? Should I see a doc or is this normal and I've just been lucky to avoid it this long?

Thanks!

It's not normal to have pain.

Where is the pain? Is it right in the middle, just below your rib cage? That could be several things--one of which is gall bladder problems (common). Others are things like heart attack, pancreatic inflammation, ulcer... So there isn't any way for us on this forum to tell you!

I would recommend that you make an appointment with your doctor or clinic to get checked out.

Hope you do and that you feel better!

Bla... that's what I was afraid of .

It alternates between pretty intense cramping. The only thing I have felt that even compares is labor contractions... and just a general yucky feeling down in my lower abdomen area.... but it's not in my internal girly parts, it's definitely stomach/gi related.

I guess I will call tomorrow... I just hate them there. They're always like "You're obese. Lose weight and it will go away." or "You have gas because you're fat and fat people get that..." Yeah, working on that idiots.. thanks. I truly hate the military clinic but I have no choice.

Do go see the doc. And if they give you grief about your being obese:
your BMI if what's on your profile is correct is 29.9
That is overweight but you are no longer obese!

Hang in there - tummy troubles are the WORST. I struggled for over a year trying to figure out why I was feeling like you are and finally was diagnosed with IBS. After making a few changes to what I eat and including a probiotic every day, I feel SO MUCH BETTER. I would really encourage you to go to you doctor and see what's up and don't stop till you get an answer! Get a second opinion if you have to... if it is a chronic thing, it can really affect how much energy you have and how your immune system works. That aside, if it's only been going for a few days, maybe you've just picked up a little bug and things will settle down soon.

Awesome work on your weight loss, though! Keep it up and get well soon!

What has your diet been like? I went through a similar problem, and one night I had to go to the emergency clinic, the cramping and pain was so bad it frightened me. Turned out I was "backed up" even though I thought my fiber/water ratio was correct.....
