Hey girls; I was thinking of starting this up again because it really helped me stay on track. I'm in desperate need of motivation and I think this might help.

Here's the deal- you pick a goal or several goals and you do them everyday for 21 days, you can have up to three skips (such as TOM or holiday) and after that you have to start over at day 1

I hope lots of you join in and we can keep each other motivated:)

Here are my goals for each day:

1. No soda
2. Stay under 1500 calories
3. Active at least 20 mins a day

Ooh...I am definitely in!! My 30th birthday is exactly 3 weeks from tomorrow, so I would love to do this to get myself back on track!!!

1) Eat no more than 1500 calories a day
2) At least 30 minutes of activity every day.
3) Only two "sweets" at most throughout the week.

Angeline, you are heaven sent for starting this again. It really helped me a lot.

1) Only use Points/Activity Points on week days - Flex points can ONLY be used on Fridays and Saturdays
2) Be active at least 30 minutes a day - gym, outside or work out dvd
3) No McDonald's Iced Coffee/Starbucks

hmmm... memorial day- how's everyone doing on this holiday? I always find it more difficult to stay on track during holidays

I didn't really finish this last time but I have continuously been drinking 8 or more glasses of water a day :) So I'm in for another 21 days!

Day #2 is going good.

I made spicy sausages and baked potatoes since I won't be BBQ'in today. Looks like I'll be around 1350 calories. I drank coke zero, though. So boo on that. I did walk for 30 minutes and my gym is closed for the holiday.

Day 1 was good. Completed all that I set out. Even for the bbq, i grilled my own separate veggies without the oil that they put on the others and only had 2 small bites of potato salad and corn bread. went to the gym and now i am really sore.

First two days went well!!! The exercise was good, drank tons of water, and the food made it right around 1500 calories.

Way to go everyone that stayed on plan yesterday!!!!

- it's totally a challenge for me when my family is involved. I didn't eat anything off plan, just waaaaayyyy too much of everything- I basically grazed from 10am till 7pm and soda.... oh soda:(
yeah- I'm taking a pause for yesterday.... 500 calories in soda alone- and that's only three sodas!!! I definitely need to nip that habit

Stayed OP yesterday! Used a new workout video for the first time, and it definitely worked me hard! I thought I would be missing soda, but I just ask myself if I really want to spend so many calories on it, and it is all I need to keep away from it. I continued with the couch to 5k program and am running week 2 this week. Today is a rest day, so I will walk instead.

Day 1 is a success! Didn't feel like going to the gym, so I did 30DS instead. Was down 0.4 on my weigh - in, which isn't a lot, but for the amount of crap I ate this weekend I'm just glad it wasn't a gain.

Day 2 check. I was super sore and tired from yesterdays training session. When I got home I made something to eat which I thought would just be a snack, then headed to the gym. I worked out and felt great afterward that I decided not to eat anything else. All that hard work will not be for nothing.

I'm proud of myself for sticking to this....and not caving in when one of my kids at school asked if I wanted one of the cookies he had made for his cooking class final. He's an AMAZING baker and wants to go to culinary school eventually. It was tough, but they had nuts in them and I don't like walnuts, so it was easier to turn him down. LOL So, close call ;)

I'm jumping on a few days late, but I'm going to use yesterday as my starting day.

1. 1600 - 1800 calories per day
2. Walk at least 5 miles per week (gym or outside)
3. Go to the gym at least 3 to 5 days per week

I was out of town Sunday and Monday in graduation/in-law land where food is high in everything and oh-so-bad for you. Yesterday, though, I was totally on target. 1676 calories, 1 mile/22 minutes on the treadmill plus upper body weight machines. SOOO sore but totally looking forward to going back to the gym today!

ETA: Day 2 at the gym complete. Bout to throw some Wii Fit yoga in for fun, too.

I'm starting a bit late but we'll say yesterday was my day #1 which went well.

-Burned off 357 at the gym

-Didn't work out but was relatively active

So far so good!!! I came in right at 1497 calories yesterday...but mainly that was because we had pasta for dinner, but I didn't have any bread, so that saved me in the end! haha

Holy crap! I just did the 30DS level 1 for the first time in like 2 months. Please tell me how it's possible I got better at it?!? It's still HARD but I did so much better and all I've been doing is Yoga Booty Ballet since then. I'm on :cloud9:
Seriously, I feel like I'm actually finally in shape.

Ok enough of that I had a really good day and hopefully it will show on the scale when I weigh in!

Hi all! So I joined yesterday- Today was my first full day! Thanks for letting me join late.

Day 1 of 21

B- protein shake with a banana- 4pts
S- tuna sandwich (on 45 cal bread- two slices = 1pt and its sooo good!)-2pts
1 c grapes- 1 pt
L- pb and j sandwich and tuna sandwich- 5 pts (I was super hungry!)
fruit snacks- 2 pts
tootsie pop- 1 pt
D- edamame beans- 2 pts
pork filled bread thing- 3 pts
licorice- 2 pts

total= 22 pts
30 mins of p90x ( I was sooo tired today I could not finish the dvd, I did half of it though :^: )

I feel like I did pretty good today- I know having to answer to everyone on this message board got me off the couch even enough to do half the dvd!

Day 4 of 21....I'm so excited that I am able to stick to this!!! I loved when we used to have the weekly goal threads because I was accountable to people other than myself!

Yesterday, I had 1395 calories, took a 45 minute walk with a friend of mine in the cold! haha, and stayed away from the sweets! I really wanted something chocolate, but I had a mint instead. It was after dinner, but close enough to bedtime that the mint held me over. Plus, I went to bed early! haha That helped too! I have my TOM right now, so I have a feeling that the chocolate craving will be coming back in full force! haha

I think its different for a lot of people. I only weigh myself once a week, but I know many people weigh themselves every day/more often than that. That's up to you :)

I am kinda' failing at going to the gym. I won't be home tomorrow, but I think I'll make myself go on Sunday since I have off. I want to start the 30DS again and actually stick to it for the 30 days.

anyone can join anytime- and you can always start at day 1- even though some (wormwood;)) are rockin in at 7 days (way to go BTW!), if we slip up three times in a row we start back at day 1, so potentially you could get to 21 days before someone who started days ago:) hope that made sense

and no weigh in days, unless it helps you to report! Then by all means, let us cheer on the victories:)

I forgot for a second that my third goal was no more than 2 sweets. I was thinking the whole time that it was no sweets. So, I caved yesterday and got a twisted frosty from Wendy's....thinking that I was going to be taking one of my pauses. But technically, I stayed under calories, went to the gym yesterday morning, and this was my first "sweet" all week, so I'm still good!!!

Day 4 (Friday) & 5 (Saturday) recap in one post (today is Day 6)

Day 4 went well, actually went under my points (oops) but its okay.
Day 5 went well in terms of food, but I wasn't able to work out. I had this egg/cheese thing from Dunkin Donuts for breakfast b/c I was on the road and it KILLED my stomach all day. I got back to my house from PA and just went right to bed, alternating sleeping with running to the bathroom. I was pretty sore from the 30 DS/gym still, so I'm taking that as my "rest" exercise day.

I decided to go to a local garden to see if the roses were out, and wound up getting lost on the hiking trails. 5 miles and 2 hours later (in heeled sandals) through the mud, I don't feel so bad about taking a break yesterday.

My mom and I had lunch at Chili's and we thought we were doing pretty good having salads. Yeah, thank god I didn't have the ranch dressing because Chili's salads are wicked high in calories!!! We ate more of a late lunch/early dinner, so I was still able to stay around my 1500 calories for the day, but the good majority of my day's calories came from that one salad! Ridiculous! haha

I didn't make it back to the gym on Friday, but I did manage to walk more than a mile, I'm sure (2500 steps more than treadmill days with shopping and stuff at the camp site). Thanks to alcohol and other camping foods, I know I went way over on cals on Saturday and Sunday, so I'm calling them my off days.

4 days on plan, 2 days off. Ready to get back to the gym today!

So, I'm starting with Day 1. This is my first shot at this and my goals are relatively simple. I have the hardest time remembering to do things.

1) Eat some type of fruit every day (I NEVER eat fruit, I'm a juice girl)
2) Wear my pedometer
3) At least 20 minute workout daily

Day 7

Have I ever mentioned how much I HATE this co-worker I'm traveling with? We're kind of in the middle of an industrial park, so we have a few lunch choices. One is a sushi place, one was an American style bistro. At breakfast there were no really good, filling choices, so I wound up having a high point breakfast. I was super-psyched that I could have sushi for lunch, low points and FILLING. But no. Jason doesn't like sushi, doesn't even like going into sushi places even if they have things he'd eat.

Point is, I used my FP today and I DIDN'T WANT TO. The American restaurant had a very limited lunch menu and nothing low calorie. Yes, could have done a salad, but then I would have been starving an hour later, so I had this grilled chicken sandwich (read huge piece of fatty chicken on a hamburger bun) that totally tore up my stomach. There's an Applebee's attached to the hotel (he can't go anywhere else, he has to call his pre-pubescent wife all night so we're on borrowed time) and I had the 7-point garlic and herb chicken with veggies.

I did go to the gym in the hotel and we walked back and forth to lunch, so I wound up with an hour of walking (in heels should count extra).

Just so annoyed at him.

I didn't use my FP this weekend in preparation for this trip, but ARGH. I'm so happy that tomorrow we're going over to the hospital cafeteria where I can CHOOSE MY OWN LUNCH. Jerkface...

I ended up going to the dentist for a crown this afternoon...so my mouth is still hurting. My mom ended up making breakfast for dinner so that I could have something that didn't need a lot of chewing. Scrambled eggs and an english muffin. I love having breakfast for dinner :)

So, I definitely stayed under my calories since I can't really chew anything, walked for 25 minutes and rode the stationary bike for 15 minutes, and no sweets!!!

day 1 hooray! i found my pedometer (still hooked onto my pants from the slightly intoxicated baseball game the other day), worked out for 30 minutes, and had not one, but 3 servings of fruit..and i'm having a fruit parfait for dessert (according to my grandmother, it still counts as a serving of fruit, i'm stickin to it).

I had non-fat frozen yogurt with lots of yummy fruit today. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I work right across the street from this place and am surprised I haven't tried it sooner!

Hi guys! I am still doing well I have been working 12 hours a days the past few days and have done my workout and then went right to bed. I think that I would like to watch my calories rather than try and count weight watcher points. So I am modifying my plan a bit- 1400 calories a day.

Took a quick 30 minute walk around my friend's neighborhood while waiting to go to the school's graduation. We ended up eating outside on a patio somewhere near the arena where the graduation was being held. It was SO nice out!!! Had a pina colada...oops, but that will be one of my two sweets this week.

Half a mile on the treadmill yesterday (hubbie couldn't keep up!) plus 30 minutes of weight machines. Calories on target. Day 6 of 21 complete.

Hubbie's supposed to hit the gym with me again tomorrow, so I'll finish that mile and then get my 5th for the week in on Saturday.

Day 8 - Went for a walk to the farmer's market at lunch and got some delicious strawberries. I weighed myself and I was down 1.8 lbs (which was a huge shocker) so I used 2 of my FP to have a glass of champagne :)

I am so close to being under 200lbs. I am at 200 exactly. This week I've been losing about .2 per day, a couple of days maintaining the same weight. Reasonable since I lost 3lbs last week. I just want to get there already! Haha.

....was okay. I ate about 1200 calories. But I did share a dessert with three friends, and I'm unsure of it's calories. It was a giant cookie (about four) with two scoops of ice cream and whip cream. We didn't even finish it. So I am hoping I was at least around 1700 cals which wouldn't put me off for the day. Oh well. I ate lightly to make room for a night out with the girlfriends!

Day 11!!!!

Had 1499 calories (haha...just under!), walked hills for 45 minutes, and had my second sweet of the week because I was lured in by some M&M cookies. Haha

Day 2- solid
Day 3- not only at fruit but at 4 (i'm kinda liking this)
Day 4- Pass (I was in a mad rush to get to school and ran out without my pedometer.

I recently found my old pedometer in my brother's old room. I think I'm going to keep that in my car for the days I forget to put it on right away, so even though it won't be perfect, the count can be close.

Ok..I fell behind this weekend!!

Friday - Day 12!!! Under my calories, got back to the gym for an hour long workout.

Saturday - Definitely my first pause of the challenge. It all started off with SAT proctoring and little evil munchkins in the break room that were calling my name. I had way too many of them...and felt utterly sick afterwards. And I didn't go to the gym since our hot water heater was broken and I didn't want to take a cold shower for the plans I had Sat. night. But I managed to lay low the rest of the day and made good choices (fruits and a couple thin crisp triscuits) at a friend's party that night. So, pause 1.

Sunday - Day 13!!! Back on track!!!! Went to the gym for 45 minutes on the elliptical and some weights work. Then I went to a graduation party for one of my students and snacked on carrots, a piece of grilled chicken and LOTS of fruit salad! Already have dinner planned out, so I will definitely be back on track with my calories.

So, overall...

Ok everyone seems to be doing this... I'll start day one tomorrow, since I'll be a balloon if I try to drink all my water tonight (been bad today). I don't really have a problem with going over my points, so I won't add that in.

Stayed OP even though I had a slice of pizza at a concert yesterday. Geez! It was 8 hours long - a set of 11 bands - and there was no re-entry allowed. All they had was candy and pizza. I only ate lunch that day, so I figured why not? The scale didn't show any real problems except a small gain (less than a pound) probably due to sodium since I didn't drink as much water as usual.

Day #16
- 1600 calories
- Drank more than 8 glasses of water
- Walked 2 miles

- No bingeing.
- No caffeine (SO.HARD.)

- On nights when I want a drink, limit of one.

Day 14!!! Just a bit over 1500 calories (1545), but the majority of the food I ate all day was like fruit salad and regular salad, so I'm not worried about the couple extra calories.

My birthday is in less than a week....so I am holding off on all sweets until then because I figure I'm going to be eating a lot of cake in the next little bit! haha

That's it. I'm starting over, with a positive attitude tomorrow. I've been staying OP and gained 1.2 lbs. Its not TOM because that JUST WENT AWAY.

Tomorrow will be Day 1 - starting weight 207.6

Goals:
45 minutes of activity each day - in the morning. I do best when I work out in the morning.
Stay within Wendie Points (long story, but I'll post my points each day)

I would like to be down to 201 by the end of June...

As for days 20 & 21 - I am going camping! But I have prepared a menu to stay OP during the trip. It consists of weight watcher bagels & cream cheese, veggie burgers, turkey dogs, whole wheat buns, healthy snacks and of course....S'MORES. But I promised myself I'd ONLY eat TWO. So hopefully I'll be good, stay OP, and be able to report 21 days OP with you ladies!

Day 3 - 27 points - Stayed OP, even though we had a last minute bbq. I just stuck to grilled chicken, salad and watermelon. Oh, how I love watermelon.

Day 4 - 41 points - Stayed OP - worked out a LOT - went to the gym in the morning then went to the pool and wound up swimming laps (not my usual deal - I typically just read in the water). Had a friend's birthday party and had a few cups of sangria, but that's OKAY because I was supposed to have that many points. Yay :)

I slept 12 hours last night. I was SO beat from camping. We did the most difficult hiking trail and we walked 2 miles [each way] across nothing but boulders that ran at least 4ft beneath us! I was quite sore and bruised after all of it. But it was fun and the exercise really helped me. After it all, I weighed in today at 197.2!

Hi! I have been gone for a while- I was house sitting and they had issues with their internet- I was not able to get on :(. I am home now! I would like to start over tomorrow, it sounds like most people are just starting again anyways. I loved checking in with everyone- it really helped. I leave for Greece in 34 days and would like to lose a few more lbs before I go. Ok so here is my plan:


1) Stay within 1200-1400 calories a day
2) Exercise 5 days a week
3) Drink 64 oz of water

By the way- how did everyone do in the end? How much did people end up losing in the 21 days?

Day 12 - 30 points - didn't exercise at all, just drove a lot. Back to the gym tomorrow.

Hi- I did pretty well today I thought, I got up early to workout and I did not stuff myself at brunch. I filled most of my plate with veggies and fruit. It is hard to estimate calories at a buffet though. I am sure I went over my 1400 cal, since we had a big dinner as well, but not as bad as I could have so I am happy. Tomorrow starts a new week and I am excited to get back into my eating routine. I try and eat at the same time and about the same amount everyday which has helped a lot. Good luck this week! Its seems that our crew is dwindling....
