Good Morning Chicks. The day is beautiful but the heart is heavy. I'm going to JC today. That's all I can say for myself.
05-18-2009, 09:46 AM
Good morning everyone. This weekend was fun, but my scale is up up. Not sure what is going on with that. I probably didn't drink enough water in the past couple days, hmmm. odd.
Rhonda, the hiking trails are wooded trails; a lot of hills and rocks! The park has some nice flat walking trails that we end up on but for most of that time we are on those back trails.
Well, got to run. BBL
05-18-2009, 10:27 AM
Good Morning ladies:)
We're having rain again, and until we get this damp weather out of here Leo & I are going to be hurting. Hope it chances by the time the Memorial Weekend rolls around. We planning our first BBQ of the season than.
I got up on the scale and I up .5 not going to change my tickers this week as its from lack of exercise. I tried to keep my points to a bare minimum[1200-22P] but maybe i shouldn't have have gone that low. I did manage to go over my WPA's so that's a possibility also.
RHONDA-Thanks for the new pages, and h=getting me to exercise again.I tried riding my stationary bike yesterday afternoon for 20 M and the muscle in my left leg doesn't seems to be as tight after doing so. Maybe it worth a try again and see if it loosens up again.
VICKIE-All I can do is send you:hug: super hugs:hug:.Glad that your going to JC for your W-I and next instructions.
PAULA-Glad you had a fun weekend, even if the scale is up. Mine its up also, and its not going to come down until I get back into my reg route of exercising more. Here's to a better W-I for you and for me.
05-18-2009, 12:32 PM
Not much going on here.
Did up a few dishes I had. Washed a load of towels and jeans.
And now wont be long and have to get ready to go to town. And WW. Not looking forward to WW though. By my scales I am going to have a big gain. I guess I really need to get back to writing down everything. Guess after awhile I think. Oh I know how much I have ate. Or that is a cup of whatever. And it is not. So will pick up a tracker tonight.
BEACHBUM Hope the weather changes so you can start to feel better.
VICKIE  Thinking of you.
ONTARGET Sounds like you had fun. A weenie roast is always nice.
BLESSEDWITHSARAH Hope you have a great day.
TEJAS Thanks for the new page. Have a great day.
Well I better get off here. Got a couple more things that need done before we leave.
Thinking of everyone
Have a great day.
05-18-2009, 02:17 PM
Well, I guess not eating much results in weight loss even without exercise. I lost 1.6 this week and 1.4 last week. My new total is 25 pounds down! So I even get a new chick today.
Coco, maybe you won't gain.
Sandra, your garden is beautiful. I'd like to hire you and Curtis to landscape my yard.
Time to go run errands. I need to get a new driver's license. Fortunately, only an eye test this time.
05-18-2009, 02:22 PM
05-18-2009, 05:59 PM
Thanks Paula. Inch by inch.
05-18-2009, 06:00 PM
Vickie, that's wonderful news. Congratulations!
Paula, the hiking route sounds like fun...nice to have that available.
I certainly ate too much today, but I have lost two pounds this week. Not the three I was aiming toward, but I'm not complaining.
05-18-2009, 06:14 PM
Rhonda, two pounds down is fabulous. And I can imagine that you are getting quite toned as well.
05-18-2009, 09:16 PM
Maryann, good to hear that you're up on the bike..I hope it works out for you. I can't tell you how much better I'm feeling for all this moving. I can moan and groan with the best of them, but I'm feeling much more alive.
Vickie, yes, I am beginning to feel some shifts in my body that are really good. My shins take a beating with the walking but the teacher gave us some exercises for that.
I learned...did I tell you already...this teacher is the fastest woman walker in Canada...quite inspiring.
I walked today but only for 20 minutes.
05-19-2009, 10:09 AM
Good Morning Chicks. Today is the day that we try to get our lives back into some sort of routine. Tonight it will be a week since Cassie died. It's been a long, long, hard week. As of now, we've decided that there will be no more animals in our house. Who knows if God will intervene to change our minds. In the meantime, we are very sad but eternally grateful that Cassie was in our lives.
I'm going to try to get back on the treadmill this morning. I think it's been a full two weeks since I exercised. This is not going to be easy. Or pretty!
Rhonda, your exercise is impressive.
Mary Ann, any answers to your medical situation?
What ups with you, Coco? Did I miss the weigh in?
Where's Donna and Kathy? I think Kathy may be having trouble getting on here again.
05-19-2009, 10:33 AM
Vickie, we know the feeling. It has been 3 months since Jake died. We miss him terribly and talk about him often. We always jokingly blame him if something goes missing, or doesn't work out: he was such an imp.
I hope everyone has a good day. I ate so much yesterday that I think I'll try not to eat any points this week. I'm sure I had enough for two weeks. Just couldn't help it; Jake made me do it!
I think that I've turned a corner on the exercise. I'm experiencing it as PLAY. We don't get enough of that in our adult lives.
05-19-2009, 02:05 PM
Had a busy morning, and couldn't get on the computer to post.Nothing new, except for my MRI this afternoon.
COCO-Hope you had a good WI last night. The weather this morning was 61 % and the sun is shinning, but its still too cold to head down to the water.
VICKIE-Congrats on your two week weight loss and you first 25 lbs gone. You're doing excellent.I going to have my second MRI they now thinking is might be a disc in my back that his then sciatic nerve. If not the the doctor is going to send me to an ankle/foot specialist.
RHONDA-Big congrats on your 2 lb loss. All that biking must be paying off on the scale.Keep on what your doing.I worked on my bike for 20 mins and it it feel good,so I going to do another 20 m later.
Going to rest my foot.
05-19-2009, 02:31 PM
Just a quick stop in. Weigh in wasnt good. I gained 2 lbs. So that is 4 in two weeks. I got to get back on track.
Be back later.
05-19-2009, 02:33 PM
Sorry, Coco. It isn't easy. I'm still trying to force myself on the treadmill.
05-19-2009, 06:16 PM
Vickie, congratulations on losing 25 lbs. You've worked hard for every ounce. I need to get inspired. I'm just acting like I'm at goal and have no worries.
Rhonda, we've wasted quite a bit of money on our club membership. Seems we always have a reason for not going to exercise.
Here are a couple more photos from our yard. I doubt I'll post any during the heat of summer when everything's struggling to live (or has burned up).
Both photos are of the same bed.
05-19-2009, 07:35 PM
Hi everyone. Its been a long day. Field trip day! Once again to the Zoo. It was a beautiful day and it was a nice time. DD's budy's mom was there, and we get along well. Spent 3 hours walking around the zoo gabbing away. I didn't go on the bus, thankfully. We were done there at 1:00 and I was able to go grocery shopping and got home well before the bus brought her home.
Maryann, if you ever want to go to a zoo, try the Roger Williams in Providence. Its very nice!
Foodwise, I've been doing well, but I have not been tracking. I'm pretty sure I'm doing well, but not tracking I can't be 100% sure. So, tomorrow is another day and I'm back to work so I'll track again. Maybe I'll go figure out today after I'm done here. Yes, I'll do that. No reason not to.
Coco, hope you can get things back on track. Maybe take out the materials and read through them again.
Sandra, you house/yard looks beautiful. I picked up 2 hanging plants this weekend and we planted some seeds -- marigold, sunflowers, dill and basil. Hopefully they'll all grow. You are my inspiration!
Rhonda, glad you are having fun. I look at my nightly walking as a de-compression time. I look forward to it every night.
Well, going to log in my food. Have a good night.
05-19-2009, 08:08 PM
OK, Just did my tracker for today and finsihed yesterdays (that was all I had not done!). I'm under my points! Funny how by not writing down dinner last night or anything today I felt like I've been off track for a while. Oh well, guess I'm just getting old... :)
05-19-2009, 09:00 PM
BLESSEDWITHSARAH Glad you had a wonderful time at the zoo today. I am thinking about taking my WW books with me this weekend. We are going camping. So thought maybe that would be a good time to go over everything.
ONTARGET I just love your flower bed. It is beautiful.
VICKIE CONGRATS on the loss. And for hitting the 25 lb mark. Here's some  for you. Hope you had a good day.
TEJAS Glad you are doing well with the exercise. That is one thing I need to get into. But just havent made myself do it. Or took the time.
BEACHBUM Hope everything went alright with the MRI. When will you get the results. Is the foot feeling any better yet. I sure hope so.
Well had some errands to run today. Went to Sam's club and the dollar store. And got our hair trimmed. That has been it.
Well am going to get off here for now.
Hope everyone had a great day.
Thinking of each of you.
05-19-2009, 10:29 PM
Paula, I'll bet you did have a great time at the zoo. Reminds me of when I taught 4th grade. We took a field trip to the zoo in Dallas. One of my students came running up to me and said, "Mrs. M! There's a gorilla over there and it's as big as you!!" You honor me with what you said about your planting. I can't tell you how many plants have perished at my hands. lol
Coco, I called and got my hair appt changed to this Thursday instead of next week. I have a graduation at the University of Texas this Saturday. I'm looking a bit wooly.
Rhonda, it's my brother's son who's graduating. I am extremely proud of him. BS in Mathematics and BA in Government. He's planning to take the year off before going back to school. I think he's going to be a lawyer like his dad.
05-19-2009, 10:39 PM
Wow, everyone's on at the same time!
My spinning partner was late and we missed the bikes. They give them to "walk in's" if you're late and don't call them. We just missed it by 2 minutes. Oh well, there's tomorrow morning at 6:30 AM.
DH and I went to dinner at our favorite Italian place. I had salad, one piece of bruschetta and a glass of wine. Not too bad. I came home and painted.
Everybody, just hang in there! Coco, you'll get back on track, and taking the books on the camping trip is a good idea.
05-20-2009, 10:02 AM
Good Morning Ladies:)
We're having another sunny day,and the temps are going up into the 70's. Yikes!!! I haven't brought any light clothing up from the basement due to having a bad leg I don't need more aggravation.I need to get the winter items out of my closet, also.
Today we going to to find out the results Leo's pet scan this afternoon.Hope everything is ok or we will have to cancel our cruise trip to Prince Edward Island,by proposing it for another year.
COCO-I'm so sorry to hear about your gain.It gets harder and harder with every year that goes passing by. Hope you're on the road to OPing again. I'm trying to stop the breads and her products and just eat the filling foods that's on the core list. So far I'm maintaining which is good as I can't exercise.
The MRI went will, even if it was a closed one and my head went on first.I saw light at the end of the tunnel, plus I took the advice of the tech to keep my eyes closed and breath I almost fell a sleep in there until the table started moving. My doctor will get the results by Thursday, but I won't hear from him until the follow up appointment on 6/5. I still feel pain but its in my ankle again.
SANDRA-You have a lovely garden. We're not allowed to use the grounds as the call common and the only place we can have a garden it in the front of our house[flowering bushes] and our veggies are in a few huge whiskey barrels that we placed on our deck.
PAULA-Glad you had a great time with your DD friends MOM.Nothing like meeting other people with children. Thanks I will give that zoo in mind, when my DD & DGC come back up to the Cape.
RHONDA-Sorry you were late & missed your bikes.Don't the have extra bikes where walk-ins get those and the reg customers have there regular equipment???? When you had you spinning class I was still in bed sleeping.
05-20-2009, 11:43 AM
Sandra, I told DH about your nephew graduating and he said to tell you that you're getting old. He, of course, is not. (For those who don't know, my DH and Sandra are first cousins.)
Maryann, I wish you good luck with all of the tests. What cruise line are you booked on? I've thought about taking one of those cruises. I have never been to PEI. I've been almost everywhere else in Canada, but not there.
Paula, I love your stories about you and your DD. You're lucky!
I went to spinning, but have cancelled going to tomorrow night's class. My knees need a rest!
Have a great OP day everyone.
05-20-2009, 12:33 PM
Well got some veggies cleaned. And some dip made.
And washing clothes and hanging them outside. It is suppose to be really warm today. Around 80.
Trying to get some stuff done for our camping trip.
Hubby goes tomorrow for his cataract surgery. Dont know what time yet. I hope it is early.
BEACHBUM Hope the Dr's appt goes well. When hubby has to have a MRI. He has to have something to relax him. Use to be he didnt. But now does. Maybe someone will cancel a appt. And you can get in earlier with your Dr. And not have to wait so long.
ONTARGET Hope you are having a great day.
TEJAS Sorry about your spinning class. Hope your knees feel better. I know mine will bother me tonight. After I go up and down the steps today. And hanging things outside. Guess I will just have to keep popping the motrin.
BLESSEDWITHSARAH Hope you are having a great day.
Well I better get off here. Go check on the washer.
Be back later.
05-20-2009, 12:34 PM
VICKIE hope you are doing ok. Thinking of you.
05-20-2009, 06:12 PM
Just got back from the chemo doctor and everything is ok with Leo the cancer is gone, for now anyway.
RHONDA-Was able to walk for 20m this morning and will go on the bike tomorrow, don't want to over due it,as I haven't since the beginning of April. Thanks,We're going on the Holland American Line that's docked at Boston, going to Bar Harbor Me,and up to Sydney and that to prince Edward Island, than to Montreal where we have to take a plane back to Boston.
COCO-No I just slept and I woke up when the table moved forward. My Sister has to take a tranquilizer every time she goes in but it doesn't bother me. Hopefully he'll be able to have a earlier appointment for me.
Have a great evening
05-20-2009, 06:39 PM
Mary Ann that is GREAT news. You must be so relieved.
I'm doing ok. We still feel real beat up. Got a private message from a lady on my Scottie list. The breeder of the Scottie that won Westminster a couple of years ago wants to place a different 5 year old retired female Scottie show dog in a loving home. She asked me if we were interested. My heart is still so raw with losing Cassie but we said we would consider it. God help me. I feel disloyal but I wanted a Scottie for at least another 5 or 6 years. We never expected Cassie to die so young.
I didn't exercise today but I needed to. It's very hot here. How are you all doing on program?
05-20-2009, 06:47 PM
Just lost a long post to cyberspace. Life goes on.
I went with a gf today for manicures/pedicures. All was wonderful except for getting an ingrown toenail fixed. But then--I'm feeling better now that it's been repaired.
I hope all of you are having a great day. I did :swim: today and am feeling pretty good about myself. My eating today was prett good, too, even though it wasn't exactly perfect.
Rhonda, tell dh he's funny.
Maryann, I hope you get good results from the pet.
Vickie, I think yo need to take the Scottie.
05-20-2009, 08:10 PM
Sandra, you're a sweetie. I go to the foot doctor tomorrow. Then my plan is for a pedicure to reward myself for my 25 pounds down. I get ingrowns fixed every 8 weeks. Congratulations on the exercise. I ate good...just no movement.
05-20-2009, 09:03 PM
Just getting on here for a few.
See what is going on.
VICKIE I think you should take the new doggie. You know I said I didnt want anymore after our little one died. But the best thing that happened to me. Was som friends of ours got us a puppy. It was the best medicine for me. I still miss Gingie. But I am very happy with the one I got now. But you have to decide for yourself. They are so much company and comfort. Enjoy you day tomorrow. You deserve it.
ONTARGET Glad you had a good day. It is always nice to get together with friends and do something.
BEACHBUM That is wonderful news about hubby. And great job with the exercise.
Well not sure when I will get on here tomorrow. Sometime.
Hubby has to be at the hospital at 7:30 in the morning. Just having a cataract removed.
But know that I will be thinking of you.
05-20-2009, 09:18 PM
Thanks, Coco. I'll say some prayers and hold good thoughts for your Hubby's surgery tomorrow. One can never have enough prayers.
05-20-2009, 09:49 PM
Maryann, that's fantastic about your husband. Great, just great. And, thanks for the information about the cruise..that's the line I've looked at.
Vickie, you would not be disloyal if you help a doggie in need, not at all. Think how lucky that little dog will be to be in a loving home with people who know how to take care of an animal.
Coco, I hope it goes OK with your husband's surgery tomorrow.
I did OK with food today. I had a very small piece of someone's birthday cake, but it wasn't much more than a chocolate smear on a plate! And, I avoided the cookies at a meeting I attended.
Have a good night everyone.
05-21-2009, 01:00 AM
Thanks, Rhonda. Way to go on the smear of cake!
I didn't exercise today but I will tomorrow.
05-21-2009, 10:11 AM
Good Morning Chicks! The day is sunny and beautiful. I don't want to exercise but, what's new about that? I'm trying to take a page from Rhonda's book because it DOES make a difference and I'm tired of weighing this much.
We have a million errands and things to do today. So if I'm going to exercise, I have to skeedaddle. I'll talk to you all later.
05-21-2009, 10:19 AM
Since last Friday I've had a little pain over my left knee cap. I spent some time on-line looking at knee pain and have decided that I need to spend more time warming up....so, all you exercisers out there, don't skimp on the stretching and warming up.
Have a great day, all.
05-21-2009, 10:40 AM
Good Morning Ladies:)
Went to bed early last night and woke up at 5:30AM so its going to be an other early night for me tonight.
Nothing much happening, going grocery shopping and than the rest of the day will be spend getting my winter clothes down stairs and the light clothing upstairs.
VICKIE-Oh we are,now we can go on our cruise with out that worry. I love Scotties, never had one as we're cat lovers. and I would take her,Of course no one will replace your Cassie but Scottie will bring her own love and that what you need now.
SANDRA-Glad you like your pedicure and that you swam along with eating right that's all that's expected, don't have to be perfect.
COCO-Thanks,now if I can get the foot of mine to heal,it would be a great summer.Prayers are on the way,for
your DH cataract removal, Leo has his second next Thursday.
RHONDA-Thanks, We always use this line as they cater to the older crowd. Big Bands instead of rock and roll music etc.Oh Thanks for the reminder that's what is expected to is warm up and stretching when exercising.I sometimes forget to do it but than my joints pay for later.
Have a great morning
05-21-2009, 05:18 PM
Just a quick stop in. Hubby's cataract removal went well.
But we had to sit forever. Had to be there at 7:30. Didnt call him back until 9:30. So we didnt get home until noon.
So am behind.
But will be back later.
05-21-2009, 09:33 PM
Just getting back on for a few.
Hubby is doing ok. The patch doesnt seem to fit on the eye very well. Goes back to the Dr's tomorrow. For a follow up. Guess they will take the patch off then.
BEACHBUM How long did your hubby have to put the drops in. Hubby has two different drops to put in. 4 times a day. The one I think is for a week. Not sure about the other. Guess they will tell me tomorrow. Hope you got your shopping done. And got the summer clothes out.
TEJAS Hope your knee is better.
ONTARGET how are you. Hope you had a great day.
VICKIE Hope you had a good day. I know what you mean about the exercise. I know I need to do it. But I just havent made myself. And I know if I did the weight would come off so much better. Maybe one of these days I will get motivated. Hope it is soon though. Hope you got all your errands ran.
Well ladies I think I am going to get off here for now. I have been up since 4:00am. And I am starting to feel it. Guess I should never have sat down.
Thinking of everyone.
05-21-2009, 09:34 PM
Great news, Coco. My Mom was so happy when she had hers done. She felt like she had the world back again. She had both done and lens implants.
I just got home from dinner and my Great Nephew's baseball game. It was nice.
05-21-2009, 09:35 PM
Thanks, Mary Ann. You all are so sweet and such good cyber friends.
05-21-2009, 11:05 PM
Coco, I'm glad your husband's surgery went well. Now get some rest.
05-22-2009, 09:05 AM
Good news, Coco. Like Sandra said, now rest!
I went to spinning this morning but just sat on the bike seat while working out, standing up in the pedals for mere seconds a few times during the workout. My knees didn't hurt. I found some exercises and stretches to do, so I've been doing them. I expect that they will help.
We went to a friend's for dinner last night. NOT core but I did try to be moderate. I made meringues and added light whipping cream and peaches I had frozen last year on top. It was very good. I'd never made meringues (you know, just like on a pie, but cooked in a slow oven until they're hard, then used like a crust). It was really, really easy.
Today and this weekend I plan to be very modest in the food intake. I've been sticking to 22 points and have been surprised that the weight is not coming off more quickly. But, it is supposed to take 4-6 weeks for your body to adapt to the exercise...maybe it's just in shock
I hope you all have a good day. I'll be in the office, dealing with paper work and virtual paper work.
05-22-2009, 09:55 AM
Good Morning Ladies:)
I need some loving prayers again this time its for my DD that has 4 small children under 8 yeas old.
Shes going in for a heart chatheterization this morning as she had chest pains at the beginning of the week, and she only 39 years old.
We only found this out last night,as she didn't want us to worry.I don't know how much more I can take this year. Wish I was able to be with her,but I can't travel with this bad leg of mine.
We both think that its a lot of stress that shes under,as her DH had 6 small stores that sells small items for a studio or dorm apartment. But now is down to one.If he losses that, they are planning to move out of NY and go further south. If that happens Leo & I will only see her and the family once a year instead of the 5 x's a year we used to do.
Sorry for all this whining, but I so upset I can't even think .
Thanks for being there for me not only though weight control but for every day life..
COCO-Leo had to take 2 kinds of drops 4 x at day for 3 day before they surgery now he has to take 1kind of drop twice a day once in the morning and once at night.
I didn't get my clothes down stairs going to try to get them down today.
VICKIEThanks, that's what we're here for to give & help our cyber friends though every day life problems.
RHONDA-Glad that your knee doesn't hurt anymore.I do think that you have to stretch the muscles after exercise,as all the exercising pros tell us. I'm sure you o e day uncore dinner won't undo the the whole week of OP and exercise.
Have agreat morning
05-22-2009, 10:17 AM
Good Morning Chicks!
Mary Ann, I will absolutely pray for your daughter and your whole family. Technology is so great these days in the heart area. I just know they'll be able to help her. Take good care of yourself.
Rhonda, it will come. I'm losing all of a sudden pretty regularly. It's not huge amounts but it's coming off. Sometimes I think we don't stick with things long enough to let them work. Patience, my friend.
I've got a hair appointment and then pool opening stuff to buy. Can you all believe my pool will be opened on May 26th? Of course, I won't be able to swim in it until the end of June since we have no heater. Oh well!
05-22-2009, 10:40 AM
Maryann, your daughter and all of your family are in my prayers. We're here for you.
Rhonda, Vickie's right. Your weight will start to drop. Right now you're probably building muscles. Or maybe you're right and your body's in shock. Either way hang in there and you'll start seeing results.
Vickie, I have to tell you again how proud I am for you. You're doing great.
We're going to the doctor this AM for checkups. That means fasting. You'd think we were starving the way we're acting. And we'll get to have bfast just about an hour later than normal. Oh, well.
05-22-2009, 11:41 AM
Hi everyone. As usual of late, work has been busy. I hate having to leave late, it just throws off my routine in the evenings. Oh well, I'm going to try to sneak out early today. Doing OK foodwise. Seem to be maintaining, which is OK for now. WE have a cookout at freinds on Saturday afternoon and then we are having one on Sunday. Should be a fun weekend. Rented a bouncy house for the kids as well.
Maryann - glad to hear things are well with Leo. Keep us updated on your dd. There are so many things that can be done these days. We are here for you!
Vickie - did you make a decision on the Scottie? I agree with the rest, you should take her. It will help heal your heart and give her a loving home. Congrats on keeping up the losses!!
Coco - glad dh make out OK with his surgery. My mom had the same thing done this week as well. On Tuesday she had it done and the patch removed on Wed. She was amazed at how bright the world was! They also did a lens replacement so now she doesn't need a contact in that eye. Good luck with his follow up appt.
Rhonda, the scale will catch up with your body. Remeber, muscle does weigh more than fat. Have you done your measurements? Or feeling a difference in your clothes?
Well, got to run. BBL
05-22-2009, 02:25 PM
Just thought I would get on here for a few. Have to finish packing.
Then when son gets home. We will take off.
Hubby's follow up appt went well. Still have to put the drops in 4 times a day for a week. He goes back next Friday. Has to wear the patch at bedtime only. So that is good.
BEACHBUM You and your family are in my prayers.
ONTARGET Hope your Dr's appt went well.
VICKIE Hope you had a good day. Sorry you wont be able to use your pool yet. But you will.
BLESSEDWITHSARAH I bet the kids will love the bouncy house.
TEJAS Glad your knee is feeling better.
Well I need to get off here. Just wanted to check in for a few.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Will be thinking of each of you. And will miss you.
Wish I could take my computer with me. But cant do that.

All is Ok with my Daughter she had her catheterization this morning along with a x-ray and they found that somehow when she was born or conceived her arteries were under a muscle and when the muscle crushed the arteries the chest pains began. So when she exercised or did any type of extortion the chest pains came as she wasn't getting enough blood & oxygen to her heart .She now has to take a beta blocker & take it easy no gym for the next week or so.
Thanks all for your prayers.

Awesomely great news, Mary Ann! Have a great weekend.
Have a great trip, Coco.
Party on, Paula!
Sandra, I hope the testing isn't for anything serious.
Rhonda, how's your knee?
Sandra and Rhonda, what are your plans?

Good early morning everyone:
Maryann, what wonderful news for your daughter. Scarey at first!
Paula asked if I could feel a difference in my clothes, and I can. I marvel at that. The scale is barely moving but I feel lighter and my pants fit better. I didn't do measurements, but I am down another pound.
Vickie, you asked about plans. Well, mine are evolving each day. There are discussions being held that might result in my staying at work another 6 months. It's a strange feeling to be possibly postponing retirement when I am ready to go, but there is a big project that some people believe I am best placed to do. It wouldn't be awful to stay because we don't even have our house on the market yet. I'll know more soon, obviously.
If the house sells, then we'll go shopping in Texas for a new place, and maybe I'll just rent an apartment here and work a few months. I'll admit to a fantasy that DH would get the new house ready and I could just move in. I'm delusional, I know. If the house doesn't sell, then we have another situation. But, I am remarkably calm about it all...mostly it won't do any good to get upset. That would interfere with my athletic training

Rhonda, you made me LOL! Why not get paid while you are waiting for your house to sell? And, I love your fantasy. It could happen, you never know!
I'm scheduled to walk on the treadmill today and tomorrow. Later today, I'm going to my big Sister's house to fix her computer which is acting weird. I'm not sure what we'll all do for dinner. Sunday is a day of rest (well except for the treadmill) and Monday we go to a BBQ at my Niece's house. It should all be fun since they are my favorite people in the world.

Prayers Needed Again=========
Daughters back in the hospital again now its looks like something wrong in her knee area is bothering her. They are waiting for the cardiologist before admitting her. They're meanwhile are giving her blood thinners[Hope its not a blood clot in the back of the knee] I have no idea what. Don't know anything else, will let you know if anything develops.
05-23-2009, 07:55 PM
Maryann, I am very concerned about your daughter. I hope all goes well. It sounds like she's in good hands. Do you think you'll be able to go be with her now that your leg's feeling better?
Rhonda, :woohoo: I am proud of you (as always). Good success on selling your home. Remember--staging.
Vickie, sounds like a fun weekend. Enjoy yourself.
I rode to Austin today with my son and 1 granddaughter for our nephew's graduation. Life is good. Now I'm tired and am getting offline to rest.
05-23-2009, 08:33 PM
Oh, Maryann! I'm so sorry to hear that there is another, or maybe the same, problem for your daughter. I'm not too formal religiously, but I've got my prayers going for your family.

Good Morning Ladies:)
My DD is still in the hospital until Wed. She had a blood clot in your left leg,and there giving her a blood thinner called coumadin. It seems that the catheterization she had done the day before caused it. Her DH bought her lap top to her, and this morning we got a e-mail that she had a good night and shes feeling lot better. The family is going to be with her the whole day.
SANDRA-I would love to be with her, but I have obligations to Leo as hes going in for his second contract surgery this week and I need to be there for him,so its impossible to be there with my DD.
RHONDA-Thanks,even the kind thought will help.
THANKS TO ALL THE LADIES ON THIS THREAD THAT MADE MY LIFE A LITTLE EASIER THAT STRESS BROUGHT ON DURING MY DAUGHTERS ORDEAL IN THE HOSPITAL

Thank God she's ok, Mary Ann and that's she was wise enough to get herself to the emergency room.
I'm making a WW Blueberry pie to take with to the BBQ tomorrow. It's fabulous. I haven't decided if I'll eat any or not. I weigh in tomorrow before I go to the party. Can you believe they are open every holiday except for Christmas?
05-24-2009, 04:46 PM
Whew, Maryann. As Vickie has said, thank goodness she went to the hospital. And, that they found out the problem relatively quickly. Medical procedures can be risky even though they are necessary.
05-24-2009, 08:22 PM
Maryann, of course you need to be there for Leo. I had missed where you'd mentioned his surgery. I hope all goes well for him. Are you just about a basketcase now? I know I would be with so much going on. Hang in there.
We shot a 3D tournament today and I scored my personal best. We got in a lot of hiking in the woods and had a blast. We shot with 4 other men. I was the only old hen in our group of roosters.
Vickie, I am surprised JC is open tomorrow, but am glad. That's good that you can wi on a holiday. Is the bb pie posted here? Just wondering.
05-24-2009, 09:02 PM
Sandra, I posted it on our board.
Congratulations on your tournament success today and all that exercise.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!!:sunny:
Well our camping trip was cut short. We came home yesterday.
Hubby isnt doing good. You know here a couple of weeks ago. He had a bad knee. Well now the other knee is just like the last time. But worse. So had to bring him home to go to the ER. Then on the way home he had a couple of small seizures. But they think because he was in so much pain. That is what triggered the seizures.
So he and I spent most of the day yesterday in the ER. Said he has infection in it. But they didnt give him any antibotics for it like the last time. Just pain pills. Then said to call a orthopedic Dr on Tuesday. And get him in. So we will see. So told him to stay off it. Ice and pain pills.
BEACHBUM Hope your daughter is doing better. You are doing good riding the bike. Do you think that is helping your leg.
ONTARGET Glad you had a good time at your tournament. And graduation.
TEJAS My WW leader always says. We are about the numbers on the scales. Not the inches we are losing or how our clothes are fitting better.
BLESSEDWITHSARAH How did your cookout go Saturday. Did the kids love the bouncy thing. I bet they did.
VICKIE Sounds like you are having a wonderful weekend. Wish our WW store was opened. Could use the weigh in. Because I am wanting to eat. But I know it is from stress. And I know that food wont help what is going on. But at the moment I am eating the food. It does feel better. But then after I eat it I feel guilty and beat myself up over it. So am trying to deal with the stress in other ways. Got on here. Got me a word search book. Things like that. Just trying to stay busy. Here in a little bit. I need to do some laundry. Got to get sons work clothes washed up. And stuff we had taken camping with us. So that will keep me busy.
Well I am going to get off here. And get busy.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Thinking of each of you.
05-25-2009, 12:52 PM
Oh Coco that's so upsetting to her about your DH. I hope he can keep himself comfortable today while he waits to get in to see the Ortho Doctor. If he gets worse, don't hesitate to take him back to the ER. Try not to worry about the food too much. You'll get back on track soon.
I'll be praying for you and DH.
