Hi, I'm Nicole (as my title indicated). I'm a 23 year old student and stay at home mum. And here I am.
My weight history is all over the place. By 12 years old, I weighed 198lbs. I hit a high of around 215lbs at 15 or 16 years old. I lost almost 80lbs, getting down to 139.2 at 18 years old, through bulimia and starvation. After one day at my lowest weight, I promptly started gaining. And gain I did - up to 242lbs. I was still struggling with bulimia, and entered an intensive outpatient treatment program. On the fifth day of the program, I discovered I was pregnant - November 30, 2007. I was almost 300lbs on the day of my c-section (July 30, 08) - I don't know my exact weight because I refused to be told my weight during my pregnancy - I didn't need any more pressure than I already had.
At my two week postpartum visit, I had lost 30lbs and weighed 267lbs (I was really swollen during pregnancy). I started Weight Watchers (for the fifth time in my life) on Halloween last year. I quit going in March due to monetary and transportation issues. I weigh around 271lbs now. At least, that's what the scale said when I weighed myself one day last week.
I'm tired of wearing maternity clothes that I've been wearing for a year. I checked out a copy of the Beck Diet Solution from the library and intend to do her 6 week cognitive therapy program. I will be using the Weight Watchers Momentum program.
So, that's the basics of my weight journey. I'd love to eventually get down to 160 or 170lbs. My body was most comfortable at that weight, and I actually look pretty good at that weight.
I'm excited to meet all of you on the board.
