So the weekend was absolutely miserable weather wise. At least we didn't get snow, but it was snowing about half an hour's drive inland, and there was snow on the hills around my city. Yesterday was so bad that I didn't even leave the house!
This compliment thing is catching - my boss told me today I was looking good. Given that he's male and well in his 50's, then the fact that he's noticed must mean that it's very noticeable. OK, horrible sentence structure there, but you know what I mean!
Gym this morning and a good weights workout. Work was work - we're busy with a few storm claims from the weekend and then to top it all off, Tauranga got hit by a hailstorm at lunchtime. Think our quiet patch is over with, but we knew it was going to break.
I haven't heard anything about the police job as yet, but things are a little difficult for them at the moment. A police officer was shot dead and 2 were seriously injured, and the gunman basically set up siege for over 2 days. This sort of thing is just about unheard of here and it's been a pretty horrible couple of days. I'll give them a ring a bit later on in the week - it's just not the right time yet.
Rhonda, migranes are nasty! Hope you're feeling better now!
MJ, good for you for having a clean out. I really need to do the same, but finding the time at the moment is hard.
Diane, go you with the compliments! Awesome!
Lixxi, that's too bad about the job. Try not to work too hard!
Have fun everyone.
05-11-2009, 06:44 AM
Good Morning! I cannot believe it is Monday again already!!!
nicolen--That's awesome about the compliments!!! Sounds like the weather is really getting icky, I'm sorry to hear that. It seems like there is a lot more of that kind of stuff (people killing people) going on. Not sure what is up...pretty scare stuff.
Well, I kind of 'ran out of steam' beore I really got into the Spring cleaning, but that's ok...hopefully I really get into it this coming weekend!
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Our local NAMI chapter is sponsoring is short Wellness Walk this afternoon and a presentation about Mental Health. One of the other managers and I are trying to get our staff and consumers involved....we'll see. She and I are going even if no one else will. It is SO important to show our support. I thought our consumers would want to be involved too, but it's not looking like it. Anyway, that will have to count as my workout today since it doesn't end until 6pm. I'll make up for it tomorrow at the gym, though!
Have a great OP day everyone!!!
05-11-2009, 10:44 AM
MJ - I love that you are participating in the Mental Health walk and presentation. It is important! These disorders and diseases impact so many lives.
Nicole - It must be incredible fun and affirming to get a weight loss compliment from your boss! Congratulations.
Well, it's time to be accountable. I did not have a great on-plan weekend and did not get on the treadmill even once. I have a rough time with Mother's Day and my MIL's medication apparently needs tweaking. She has a severe form of bi-polarism and it's a constant battle to keep her on an even keel. She's been making life extremely difficult lately. But, I can't make excuses for myself. I must learn how to stay on-plan during these times. My health is too important.
This week is a hectic week. Late this afternoon, I'll be helping with a blood drive for my daughter's Girl Scout troop, so I won't have treadmill time. But, I'll stay on-plan with my food.
Had a really good weekend. My son had a baseball game on Saturday and it was a good game. Lots of sun though! Should have put on the sunscreen!! And then on Mother's Day, I cleaned my porch, all the chairs, and the grill. My son mowed the lawn and my daughter helped me with clean up. The porch looked so good that my daughter set up a table so that we could eat outside for dinner. It was just really nice. She was all tickled with that.
Worked out this morning after weigh in, and that was good. I seem to be going in a pattern of two weeks of very little weight loss, and one week with big numbers. I guess that's ok!
Nicolen: That's too bad about the death of the police officer. I always hate to hear that. Congrats on the compliments!
MJ: What a great cause for a walk. Hope you enjoy it!
Rhonda: You have to cut yourself some slack because I am sure that is really tough dealing with your MIL's issues. You are really doing a great thing by helping her with all of that. I know we shouldn't make any excuses, but sometimes it is tough. So now... get on that treadmill!!! ha!
Have a good day!
05-11-2009, 02:01 PM
Rhonda--I was thinking about you this weekend. Sorry it has been so rough for you. Good for you for planning to stay OP w/ your food today!
Diane--Wow, great weekend at your house! Congrats on the weigh in!
I work in a Mental Health Residential Program and HATE to see some of the things that our consumers have to deal with because other people are uneducated about mental health issues.
I'm kinda glad it's a short walk because my knee is really sore, but I AM going to participate tonight. It's just too important to miss!
05-11-2009, 08:38 PM
Hi everyone! The walk went really well. The mayor was there and made a nice speech.
Have a great night!
05-12-2009, 03:20 AM
Yay tomorrow is payday. And after tomorrow I'll have 3 payments left on my student loan. Can you tell that I'm counting these down? Still, come July that's $100 per pay that's mine and not the government's.
Fairly normal day today - gym workout went well and work was good. I had my monthly one on one with the boss and we're both happy. He wants me to spend a bit of time working with one of our team members who's finding things a struggle - both the boss and I are convinced that the team member has a learning disability of some kind, but team member is not acknowledging this. Team member has no short term memory and even though he's been with us nearly a year, is still asking the most basic questions. Because I used to teach and worked with special needs kids, boss is convinced I know what I'm doing. Reality is it's been 10 years since I taught and I worked with 10 - 13 year olds, not adults, so I'm not as convinced. Still, no harm in trying, I guess. Anything to keep the peace in the team because a lot of people are frustrated.
MJ, go you with the walk! Especially with your dodgy knee - how did that hold up?
Rhonda, sorry about your mother in law. It must be a difficult thing to deal with - lots of thoughts and  going your way.
Diane, talk about a busy weekend. My weight loss is strange as well - I'll have a big loss, then nothing for a couple of weeks, then another big loss. This losing weight's a strange game, isn't it?
Hopefully I'll be able to post tomorrow - it's going to depend when the site comes up after the server move. If no, I'll talk to you on Thursday.
05-12-2009, 06:46 AM
nicolen--Sounds like a great meeting!!
The walk went well. Unfortunately, not a lot of people showed up. The other manager and I have talked about having some healthy snacks afterward for next year's walk....food is usually an incentive for people to come! Since it's a wellness walk, it WILL be healthy snacks!
My knee held up fine during the walk (yippee), but by the time I came home, I was in a lot of pain. I took the 'big' pain meds before bed and slept about 4 hours before it was throbbing again. I took 1/2 dose to get through the rest of the night. It feels a lot better right now. I am going to wear 'good' shoes (birkenstocks), so hopefully that will help today too!
I am going to the gym today--plan is arm/shoulder weights and some cardio. I have those very short sleeve shirts and a couple of sleeveless shirts that I AM wearing this summer!
I have my healthy lunch all packed, my gym clothes in the car, my water bottle ready to go....I am ready for an OP day!!!
Allergies are still kicking my butt....I finally called the dr and he called me in some allegra. The OTC stuff just wasn't doing enough. Ahhh, I feel much better! No more itchy eyes, no more stuffy nose!!!!
Have a great OP day everyone!!!
05-12-2009, 08:18 AM
Hi chicks...I had a wonderful time with my grandson and family last week! A two year old will keep one hopping - that's for sure. It was grand to get to spend so much time with my family. My son refers to me as Grandma B - it's too hard for little kids to say Beverly. By the time I left - he called my "B". I love that he knows my name.
My food patterns left alot to be desired. I'll try again.
lots of appointments
write down my food
drink lots of water
turn off TV while I eat
put my fork down between bites
breakfast - pnb toast, turkey sausage, applesauce
lunch - HC meal, salad
snack - apple and cheese
dinner - 12 grain pancake, boca bacon, sf syrup
snack - cereal, milk raisins
MJ - glad you could do the walk...sorry it kicked your knee. Ice it and baby it a bit. Good planning!
Nicolen - wow...it will feel wonderful to get that loan paid off!! Wonderful to hear about your compliments!
Slash - clean porch and eating there sounds like fun! It's good to realize you have a WL pattern.
Rhonda - sounds like life is hectic. Remember, we can only go forward - everyday is a new beginning.
Hope you all have a GREAT day.
05-12-2009, 01:13 PM
Just wanted to get a quick post in. I know they're shutting down the site soon, so I'll just say, "have a great day!"
05-13-2009, 03:59 AM
Not much to report today - it's my non gym day and work was OK. Just watching the TV news and they're showing the funeral of the police officer who was killed last week. Very, very sad for that poor family. Imagine having to go through the trauma and horror of having to bury your loved one knowing that the TV cameras are there recording?
I rang the police today and they requested a copy of my CV. Thankfully I haven't missed anything - it was just the early advice email that I got, so it's going to be a bit of a waiting game for the next little while. That's OK - I can be patient... Yeah, who am I kidding? :dizzy:
MJ, talk about an organised lady! Go you!
Beverly, sounds like you had a fantastic visit! Your grandson sounds like such a cutie - such a fantastic age he's at as well!
Everyone else, hi!
So much to do tonight and not a lot of time so I'd better get started.
05-13-2009, 06:19 AM
Good Morning!!!! I have a SUPER busy day today...lots of interviews--I am hiring for an open position, so I start at 9am, go through noon, have a noon meeting (it's a fun meeting...we gather to talk about American Idol! LOL!), then a planning meeting about our new proposal, then it will be time to go home! Phew....THEN, my friend who is getting married asked me to go w/ her to pick out accessories for her hair. I interviewed one person yesterday. For someone who said she wanted the job, she sure didn't act like it! Whatever...
nicolen--That is so sad. I cannot even imagine having to deal w/ the tv cameras at such a hard time. I know when my dad died, there were lots of newspaper articles (we live in a small town and he was well known and it was a big accident). That was hard enough--it seemed like every time we picked up the newspaper....there it was. Dealing w/ the media would be 100 times worse, I'm sure.
Rhonda--How are you? How's your mil? I know spring (or any season change) can be rough. Not sure why that is, but it is for a lot of our residents.
Beverlyjoy--Awww, your grandson is such a cutie!!!
Ok, I need to get myself ready for work!
I did go to the gym last night. It wasn't a terribly productive visit, but I went. I guess I wanted to at least be able to tell my ortho tomorrow what seems to aggrivate my knee....which seems to be everything these days!!!!
Have a great OP day everyone!!!
05-13-2009, 07:33 AM
Hi chicks! Yesterday was a good day - I am grateful. :D I had food sanity and felt positive.
Today I have two programs in the morning and office work in the afternoon. I've already done my meditation, stretches, exercises and recumbant bike - :) so I think I am going in the right direction for the day.
breakfast - pnb toast, egg white scramble with ketchup, peach
lunch - tuna salad, garlic toast, veggies and dip
snack - cheese toast
dinner - chicken, brown rice, roasted green beans
snack - cherrios, fruit, miolk
Mj - sounds like you are so, so busy. I like a meeting where they discuss American Idol! ;) Have fun with your friend. Good job on getting to the gym. Ice your knee.
Nicolen - Yes, so sad when a police officer perishes. :( What's a CV?
Have a great day.:)
Diane - hope you had a good day yesterday. :)
Shout out to everyone who checks in.
05-13-2009, 09:33 AM
Good morning, Friends.
I'm back on-plan today and not a moment too soon. I feel horrible from all of the junk I pushed into my body. I must work on the underlying reasons for this.
Today is a 1500 calorie day
Breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs, ww toast, Chocolate silk
Snack - Tangelo and cheese stick
Lunch - Lean Cuisine
Snack - Yogurt
Dinner - Sauteed veggies over ww noodles
Snack - Weight Watcher's Double Fudge Cake.
Hope everyone has a great on-plan day.
05-13-2009, 11:16 AM
Hi ladies, I need to try to get back into the swing of posting my menus. I have been on plan this week so far, still trying to lose the weight I put on over the winter and get back to my ticker weight. I'm so list and goal-oriented that I realized before when I was posting my menus I was treating it like a list - if I put down a snack then I felt like I was accomplishing something by eating it and if I didn't eat it, it was some kind of failure... weird, I know. So I am going to post my meals, and just give myself a couple of snack options from now on, and if I don't need them then I won't feel like I should eat them anyway. Yes, I do get tired of playing mind games with myself!
B: scrambled eggs with spinach and salsa, 2 strips turkey bacon, tomato juice
L: leftover spaghetti squash deep dish Italian pie
D: Greek tacos (in lettuce cups) or leftover fried "rice" if I am too busy
snack options: raw cauli with hummus, zucchini cheesecake, latte, ricotta creme for an evening sweet treat if I want it.
I have missed you all, my own fault, I will try to do better with checking in here .
05-13-2009, 11:46 AM
Hi everyone. My daughter had an early morning ortho appt, so I haven't been to the gym. It feels really strange. I miss it and feel like something is very wrong! I will have a chance at lunch to get some walking in, so I'll get some exercise, but I guess I like the routine of going to the gym in the morning. (Darn kids and their schedules....)
Schmoodle: Glad to see you post! You make me laugh with your mind games. But, I really know how that is.
Rhonda: You're back on track and that's great. It is eye-opening to realize how bad we feel when we don't eat right, but yet we do get back to bad habits really easily.
Beverly: Sounds like you're doing well! Cool!
MJ: Interviewing can be so tedious. Good luck!
Nicolen: I have to ask, too. What's a CV? Hang in there and BE PATIENT NOW!! ha!
05-14-2009, 06:42 AM
Good Morning! I have another super busy day....lots of meetings and then I have to leave early for my ortho appt. The interviewing went well....it was a little (ok a lot!) tedious because we had an applicant from w/in our dept who can walk right into the position, but as a courtesy, we always interview ALL internal applicants....so, yea, I had to interview everyone even though I pretty much knew who I wanted to hire.
Beverlyjoy--Sounds like you are doing really well! Keep it up! We just started our "Idol Chatter" this season. It is SO much fun!!! our Executive Director participates and people from various departments. We discuss the performances and then each give our prediction for who will be voted off. For the final week (next week) we are going to have a dish to pass lunch.
Rhonda--Good for you for getting right back on plan. As you will see below, I will hold myself accountable and I am paying for it this am!!!
Schmoodle--so glad you are back!!!!
Diane--Who would have thought that it would feel "wrong" not to be able to work out! LOL!!! Hope your daughter is ok.
Accountability time: I was running way, way late last night so I picked up some subs for dh and I on the way home. I totally did NOT order mine in a healthy way AND I had chips w/ it. Low salt chips, but still regular chips. Guess who feels icky this am??? I seriously feel sick to my stomach. Will I ever learn? YES I will!!! I know I need to plan better--especially for those times when I am running late and am tired.
I had SO much fun shopping w/ my friend. She is getting married in 8 days and is SUPER excited. It was my job to keep her focused on what she needed to buy (she's easily distracted on a 'good' day, LOL!) We found everything she needed, including some honeymoon clothes and we had some great laughs.
Ok, I need to get ready for work, but I wanted to pop in here first. Have a great OP day everyone!!!!
05-14-2009, 08:39 AM
Hi chicks....yesterday was a good food day. I am grateful.
However, I did something to reinjure my darn foot. It's been feeling so well for months. This is scary. I can't take the nsaids anymore because they think I've gotten ulcer from them. (that's why I am anemic) Anyway - I am going to really work hard NOT to eat over this. I must concentrate on getting this foot ready for a busy summer of work.
I'll be back in a bit.
Have a GREAT day.
05-14-2009, 08:57 AM
Good morning, Friends.
I am still struggling quite a bit. It is so difficult to get back on-plan after a binge, but I'm not giving up. I have my menu planned and I will get on the treadmill today. No more excuses.
Schmoodle - For me, I've found that most of this battle is mental. I just recently started visualization practices which really helped me. I need to get back to that. I'm so glad that you've decided to start posting with us again. You've been missed!
Diane - You've developed an exercise habit. How cool is that!
MJ - I also got derailed by dinner last evening. I had my menu planned, however, we were both tired and ended up just grabbing something easy. Lesson: turn off the TV and go to bed earlier!
Beverly - I'm so sorry to hear about your foot. I hope it heals quickly for you.
Today is a 1500 calorie day
Breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs, ww toast, Chocolate Silk
Snack - Tangelo and cheese stic
Lunch - Lean Cuisine
Snack - Yogurt
Dinner - Sauteed veggies over ww pasta
Snack - Weight Watcher's Double Fudge Cake
Have a great on-plan day.
05-14-2009, 10:38 AM
Hey chicks, no need to post a menu today as I'm trying to eat up leftovers and it will look exactly the same as yesterday!
Thanks for the warm welcome back. Yesterday was day 3 Ph1 of South Beach, which any of you who have done SB or similar will know is generally the toughest day when the detox really hits you. I did fine though, 3 beads so far for me, I was just really tired.
Rhonda, I am struggling right alongside you, and have been for about 6 months now. I've got a 15 lb regain to deal with, which really, really sucks. I long for the smooth sailing of that first chunk of weight loss, but now is when the going gets tough and the tough must get going. I know we are tough enough to handle it.
Beverly, I'm so sorry the foot is giving you trouble again. Take care chickie!
Diane, I hope one day to be able to say "I like the routine of going to the gym in the morning!" Exercise is my biggest hurdle with weight loss. I just hate it. I am really a couch-and-book kind of girl.
mj, sorry you are feeling bad this morning but serves you right! No, not really, but I do wish there was a punishment like that for me every time I eat something I shouldn't. It might help me stay on track. Even after months of eating clean, I can eat some crap and my stomach has no problem with it.
Have a good one chicks!
05-14-2009, 12:44 PM
I have to be accountable, too. It was a busy, busy night for me, so I took the easy way out and had fast food for dinner. Even though it was within my calories for the day, they weren't great calories. I knew that the burger was higher in calories, so I didn't get much else with it. Looking back, I wish I would have taken the time to get something much healthier and more satisfying. But, it was late and time was slipping away.
Ended up that when I went to feed our cows and horses, the cows were out of their pen and into the hay. (my husband was out of town last night... of course!) So, it was kind of a wild night of getting everyone back to where they should be. Fun times in the country.....
MJ - Thanks for you comment about my daughter being ok, but I wasn't clear about the "ortho" appt. It was an orthodontist appt. I forget that ortho could be orthopedic. The shopping sounds like fun!
Beverly - I'm so sorry to hear about your foot. That is just so frustrating! I really hope you can heal quickly!
Rhonda - Hang tough, lady! You can overcome in this battle. It is so unbelievably hard, but you can do it! Try to remember how good it feels to be on plan, and losing weight. We just have to try to keep each other going. I'm in a pretty good place right now, so I'll be your cheerleader!! Yay, you!!! (you can return the favor sometime! ha!)
Schmoodle - You have done so well. You're quite the inspiration! I'm good with the exercise, but boy do I struggle with the food plan. I love to cook and eat!!
Well, everyone, have a great day!
05-14-2009, 01:42 PM
Back again, Chicks.
Last night I drank some wine and warm milk...not planned for. (not together of course). I just couldn't sleep. Finally, the wine helped. :dizzy: I know I was fretting about my foot. :(
lots of water
write down food and calories
try to be positive
Diane - I totally understand how sometimes it's just easier to take the quick route for dinner. But, at least you stayed in your calories - which is great! :)
Schmoodle - it's so good to see you!!! I am glad you are posting again. :carrot::carrot:
Rhonda - hold on tight...it IS hard after a binge but you CAN do it! :)
MJ - hope your busy day went well. :) I was surprised that Chris went thru to the finals on Idol.
Hope your day is going well folks. :D:D
breakfast - turkey sausage, pnb toast, cherries
lunch - HC chicken, fresh mushrooms with lite blue cheese dip
snack - cheese toast, peach
dinner ???? - maybe french toast, boca bacon, sf syrup
snack - cherrios, 1/2 banana, skim milk
05-15-2009, 06:45 AM
Good Morning!!! Phew, what a week! I am really glad it is Friday AND I am very glad I will have day (or most of it) in my office....I have had way too many meetings, trainings, interviews, etc this week. I like to be busy, but between being busy at work AND having things to do most nights after work I'm tired!
Beverlyjoy--Oh no!!!! Take care of you and take care of your foot! A little wine won't hurt and if it helped you sleep, well then that's good! How's dh's job going?
Rhonda--We can do this together!!!!
Schmoodle--I am so glad you are back, I missed you! Good luck today, although I know you will breeze through it! No, you are exactly right--it TOTALLY serves me right! Actually, I guess I need these little reminders from time to time....I STILL remember the last time I ate fast food. It was NOT good. That won't happen again. I can eat a little crap, but the sub and chips was way, way bad for me!
Diane--Sounds like we are all having those hectic, busy days! It's ok, today is a new day! oops! See, w/ all my knee stuff going on, I just assumed...the shopping was a blast. This friend is so much fun...I can't wait for her wedding next weekend!
nicolen--How are you? How's the weather...hopefully not too bad yet. Any news on the new job?
lixx--Hope things have settled down a bit for you!
I saw my ortho(pedist LOL!) yesterday. I LOVE him. He has a plan...he is going to write a letter directly to the Workers Comp judge and he thinks that the info I was told from the workers comp case worker will help move things along. Fingers Crossed!!!! He gave me an injection, which will make it feel better--tomorrow....today, well, let's just say the pain meds wore off about 3am....So, I am out of the gym until Monday (drs orders). I will get some short walks in this weekend, so I won't feel like a total slug. Then, my plan is while my knee is feeling good (I usually have about 4 weeks after an injection), to work out w/ out overdoing it and really, really focus on my workouts (and continue eating well). That's the plan anyway!
I don't have any plans for tonight! YIPPEE!!! Kinda sad that I am looking forward to doing NOTHING on a friday night....dh has the weekend off, which hasn't happened in a while. We are going to check out some garage sales on Sat and have a lazy day on Sun.
Have a great OP day everyone!!!!
05-15-2009, 08:20 AM
I didn't do as well as I intended yesterday. I was gone 12 hours and hungrier when I got home which makes me want to inhale my food.
Skipped my walk after work too, but my son needed some help with his school work. Some days there just isn't enough time...lol.
Fresh egg omelet w/ olive oil, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, green beans
whole grain crackers
baked chicken breast (I only intended to eat half made into a sandwich using whole grain bread, but after I finished the sandwich I ate the rest of the chicken breast
bolthouse cappuccino protein drink
2 chunks of cheddar cheese
cracked pepper triscuits
I hope to do better today, but the weekend cometh and being home all day will make it harder for me.
Hope everyone has a great day !!!! TGIF
05-15-2009, 09:16 AM
Hi Chicks!! Yesterday was another sane day with food - I am so grateful! :)That makes three days. :carrot: Another good thing is that I had my hemoglobin checked and I am no longer anemic.:D I had developed an ulcer from the nsaids I was taking for my pieces and parts. I miss that Celebrex...but, am learning to manage on Arthritis Strength Tylenol and ice, and rest. Foot has improved a bit...I am taking it easy.
Family coming this weekend for a wedding. I'll see my GS again!!! :carrot::carrot:
log food and calories
lots of water
breakfast - pnb toast with boca bacon, applesauce
lunch - grilled chicken sandwich, veggies and dip
snack - peach
dinner - out - I know it will be fish, salad and bread. Dinner's not until after 7:00 pm - so, I'll eat some green beans before I go.
snack - cinn. toast
Hi Jab - I totally can relate to being tired and just wanting to 'inhale' my food. Sounds like a healthy food day.:)
MJ - I am so glad the ortho will write the letter and get things going (hopefully). Have fun at the garage sales. :D
Hi to Nicolen, Schmoodle, Rhonda, Diane and anyone else that drops by.
Have a GREAT day. :D:D:D
05-15-2009, 01:51 PM
Today is a day off for me. I just needed to get out of the office for awhile. It just hasn't been very fun lately. So, I took my daughter to get her retainer refitted and then went and worked out. I have some running around to do and then I'm coming back home. Today is my son's 13th birthday. He's my baby. Can't believe he is 13! Should be a fun day.
Beverly: It is probably hard to not think about your foot right now. Boy, I hope it gets better soon.
MJ: Sounds like you might have some good news there with your ortho! We'll keep our fingers crossed.
Jab: Boy, I know how the day can slip away. Kids need help and you can't say no. Hope you get some walking in today!
Happy Friday everyone!
05-16-2009, 09:48 AM
Food report for Friday 5/15/09
low fat yogurt w/chopped walnuts
multi grain crackers
1 small chunk of cheddar cheese
2 forkfuls of mac and cheese... i was weak but it was soooo good.
large salad w/chicken breast & fat free dressing
Didn't go for a walk another late night getting home. Hoping to see the rain clear today so I can do better and head out for a walk.
Off work today, will be a struggle on the willpower factor to eat right.
Hope everyone has a great day !!!!
05-17-2009, 01:54 AM
Drive by posting, I'm sorry. It's been a very busy couple of days and then I had no connectivity yesterday. I love love this technology, but it's very frustrating when things go whoops!
I have heard about the job. It appears that I've made it to the group interview which is on the 17th of June, but that won't be confirmed till the 27th. If I get through the group interview stage, I'll have police checks done on me and then a one on one interview with the police officer in charge of the Comms Room. They're picking that that will take place around the first week of July. So it's a long slow process, but here's hoping...
I ended up doing a spin class at the gym yesterday. It was very different and I think I enjoyed it. I'm very sore today though - especially some umentionable areas! This morning I went for a swim and managed 16 lengths which wasn't too bad, given that I haven't been for a swim for around 4 months. I might just have to make that part of my Sunday morning routine from now on.
Gosh, I've missed so much that I have to respond to, so it's a blanket hi to everyone, especially to our newbie, Jab. I will do better next week!
Talk to you all later!
05-17-2009, 02:02 AM
Hello Everyone! Sorry I have been missing, you have no idea how much I just want to curl up into a ball and never leave my bed again. My week has been so tiring with working two jobs, and it looks like it won't slow down till mid June!
This week: No exercise at all. Less than four hours of sleep for nearly every night except from Friday, when I managed to get some rest. The only thing I've been doing is eating good portions of my food, at least 85% of the week. But you know the feeling of not sleeping well, you tend to feel hungry more? My willpower have been stretched thin just trying not to overeat!
Needless to say I was not looking forward to weighing in today, but I just stepped on anyway. Somehow, I lost a 0.5kg! I'm shocked. I think I need a new scale. It's crazy. Some days I think I do good and it doesn't budge, other days like today I think I gained like, one million pounds, and it tells me I lost?! Crazy.
Jab- Hello! Nice to meet you! It'll be great to see your daily menu, hope it will give me some inspiration too!
BeverlyJoy- May your foot feel better! Stay positive :) :)
Diane- Enjoy your sons birthday, and have a ton of fun!
MJ- May you relish in a Lazy Sunday. I know I will! ^__^
Schmoodle- Hello there! Nice to meet you! Wow, you're doing the South Beach Diet! Good luck with it! :) :)
Rhonda- It's great you're getting back after a bad binge, and not continuing to binge even more because of that. You have my support all the way!
Nicole- So sorry to hear about the police officer, but may you still get the job anyway!
Anyone else that I missed out/ popped by, hope your weekend is treating you well! :D :D

Good Morning! Yesterday was fun. We found a few treasures, which is always fun. We also went shopping for an outfit for the wedding we are going to next weekend for dh (nothing like waiting to the last minute...typical guy!), so he is all set. Needless to say, my knee was kinda sore last night. So, it's a good thing today is a 'take it easy' kind of day!
Beverlyjoy--Congrats on another sane day! Great news w/ the bloowwork too! Keep taking care of that foot! Seeing the GS this weekend helped, I bet!
Diane--Hope you had fun on your day off...happy belated bday to your son!
nicolen--Great news about the job! You are doing awesome!
lixx--Wow, what a busy week!!! Of course, curl up w/ a blankie and relax!!!! That's what I plan on doing today!!! Well, that and two dogs!!!
Rhonda--How are you?
I did not do so well with food and have not even come close to drinking enough water. Today will be a better day, though.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome !!!
Posting what I am eating helps me stay a little bit more on track cuz I will stop and think omg I will have to write that down...lol.
I did get my walk in yesterday. Food wise wasn't great it was one of those days I just had the urge to eat. A taste for something I couldn't identify or find. So in that respect I did better than I would normally.
low fat yogurt w/chopped walnuts
1/2 large orange
Triscuits (rye w/caraway seed)
Small pc of cheddar cheese
Blueberry & pomegranate juice
Hope everyone has a great day !!!

Hi everyone! Hope your weekend is going well. I've been having some fun this weekend and now I need to buckle down and get chores done. My son had a baseball game yesterday and then we went and bought a new bike for him for his birthday. He was excited. But, something is broken on the bike, so we need to take it back. Darn. We'll get it done today so he can have some fun yet. My kids have only 4 days of school this week, so summer is almost officially here for them.
Went to the gym yesterday, but I won't be going today. Sunday is my day away from the gym!!
