Okay I don't know if ANY of my 170's girls are still around the boards, but if you are let's start up the 170's club again. That was REALLY motivating to me. :)

I'm not really sure WHAT I weigh right now- I haven't weighed in over a month (shock and horror I know!) but I am 99.9% positive I am in the higher 170s at this point (even more shock and horror).

So girls, if you are in the 170's and want your way OUT of the 170's, let's do it together.

What is your plan?
Post your progress, and encourage one another!

I don't have a plan yet- I'm still figuring that out (after several failed plan attempts I'm hesitant to commit to any one thing at this point!) BUT hopefully soon I'll have a better idea of what my "plan" is. In the mean time, my goal for tomorrow (Sunday) is to drink enough water and to do the 30 Day Shred. :)

I'm stuck in the mid 70s. This is new territory for me, and I think I lost some of my steam in the excited whirlwind of just being in the 170s in the first place. After a terrible eating-out kind of weekend, I suspect I'll be 174 tomorrow when I weigh. I want to recommit and keep going!

hey there! i'm in.

the last time i weighed myself, i was high 170s...and like you, am too scared to step on a scale.

however, i did suck it up and take measurements last sunday to use instead. i'm going to use those as a benchmark. i care way more about the inches anyways!

my plan is to eat healthy (eating has never been a big issue for me. i eat pretty okay - not spectacular, but not bad either) and EXERCISE lots! i am doing the 30 day shred too - on L1 D6 today!

brooksrm yay! welcome to the 170's club- the only club you'll try to leave as soon as humanly possible! haha :) i think a slip-up weekend is okay now and then, just stay on track! good luck.

avie i took my measurements today, and i agree- those numbers mean way more to me than my weight. anyway i think i'll go ahead and post those measurements since that is a trackable number i have right now and once i DO weigh myself i'll post that as well. :)


so today my measurements are:

bust (at fullest part): 38"
waist (at narrowest point): 31"
hips (at fullest part): 38"
thighs: 23" each

those are the measurements I'm most concerned with. maybe i'll post my measurements each sunday? what do you girls think? i think keeping track weekly or monthly will help keep me motivated- how about you?!!

I'm stuck in the dreadful 170's also... but hey, it's better than 180's right? lol well that's what I try to think just to make myself feel a little better.

I'm 174! hope to get to the 160's soon...and then 150's...and downhill from there! :)

i re-took my measurements this morning, and the start is from last sunday.

START: 42-34-43
WEEK 1: 41.5 - 34 - 42.5

i can't wait to see these go down again next week!

a club for the 170's?! oh, this is just what i need!

i've never ventured about the dreadful 179, which i'm happy about, but i can't wait to step on the scale & see a 16something, then a 15 something & so on.

i'll do measurements too! & i've got a photographer of a husband helping me out. he's going to take pictures of my progress. which, i admit, isn't fun to look at right now.

Oh cool!

I weighed in at 179.2 on Saturday morning.

I've got a couple of 170s goals coming up:

176 will be 15 lbs lost and my BF has a wrapped Pandora charm (charm bracelet thing - he's giving me one for every 15 lbs lost) waiting for me on the nightstand. I can't open it up and see what it is until I make to 176.

174 (17 lbs lost) is BMI out of "obese" and into "overweight"

My plan is to stay OP (on WW points), continue my C25K (currently finishing up week 3), and drink my water.

I've been in the 170s for YEARS! I think it is all psychological because as soon as I hit below 170 I start becoming "bored" with my weight loss plan and want to take a break. I am on this!

Weight: 173.5
Measurements:
Bust: 39
Waist: 33
Hips: 45

Today I felt so ugly!! I went to Sephora and I say these BEAUTIFUL ultra slim women wearing these pretty trendy summer dresses and here am I wearing my bog black coat trying to cover up. I swear living in NYC can be such a curse -- you have to step up your game.

I hit the 170's yesterday (YAY!) and checked again this morning to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I am so glad to finally be in the 170s, but even more than that I want to see the 160s. We can do it!

Today is my first day home for the summer. I plan to drive to the local gym and get a membership. I am very limited in the exercise I can do, but hopefully they will have a stationary bike that I can use. (I am recovering from a broken leg.) My plan is just healthy eating. I am going to limit carbs and sugar. The reason I am trying this plan is because my dad doc just put him on a very restrictive diet for his cholesterol and blood sugar and the whole familiy is going to start the diet to support him. I am going to try to follow the idea of 'if you can shoot it, or grow it, you can eat it.' Yesterday was my first day of this specific diet and I was easily and happily on plan. :)

I'm at 172 currently. I was at 176 for weeks, and then went away last weekend (didn't eat well but didn't eat horribly) and came back and was all of a sudden at 172, and have stayed there for a week. Bodies are weird.

Hoping to be a 160s girl in the next week or two!

That scares me, too. Weigh-in is Wednesday and I'd hate to see a '180' pop up on that scale... :(

I have been OVER my points EVERY single day. I haven't gone over my weekly allotment, but I've gone over my daily points.

I've been doing all right today- I have yet to workout but I have almost everything else on my huge to-do list done so as soon as my hubby gets home and can watch the baby, I'll be good to workout! :)

I'm doing okay too. I had a bit of a scare late last week, but that was all contributed to "my monthly visitor." I jumped 3 lbs on the scale & was dangerously close to 180. NOT okay! So, I'm now back to my comfortable 176 & pushing for it to just GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO away.

I'm so close!! The 170s is my May goal but I need the support. I've done well so far this week...probably drank too much alcohol though. I'm not a binge drinker like in college and I don't drink to get drunk, but when I socialize, we drink. And that PACKS on the calories. I just need to learn to make that one drink last all night!

I pop in and out of the 170s every single week I swear. I'm always staggering the 180 line. As of today I am 180.2 so I'm crossing fingers that tomorrow I'll be seeing the 170s again.... and from there then who knows!

I'd like to get out of the 170s by the end of June but at the rate I'm going I have no idea if it's possible. But I'm totally ready and willing to keep trying! :D

I'll post my measurements tomorrow. :)

Count me in! I can't seem to get out of the 170s. I've been yo-yoing between 170 and 173 for weeks now. Plateaus are so frustrating!

But better in the 170s than the 180s, right?

my back hurts when I exercise and I can't keep my posture straight when I sit. My mom says I'll turn into a hunchback. I think so too. There's just so much fat on my back that if I want to sit up straight, I really have to make an effort! and it hurts :( ....so what do I do to gain flexibility on my back? everytime I bend, I can feel my spine hurt. Any thoughts?? suggestions? this was random I know lol but seriously. My back is going out like I'm 100 years old. This sucks :(

Have you tried pilates or yoga? OR visiting a physical therapist?

I know pilates and yoga both will really help with posture when done correctly, and help develop that strength, but it might be really helpful to speak with a professional first.

Only at 178.6 (down .2), but I was on vacation (out of my usual routine) for half of last week. At least I haven't gained. I'm very optimistic about tomorrow.

OK, ladies. I finally got up the courage to face the music and weigh myself.

I feel a little dumb because this is PMS week so I'm definitely bloated and up a few pounds because of it, but oh well, I weighed and this is my current wait...

176.8


GASP. I know, but honestly I was expecting like 178 for how I was feeling.

Moving forward... I have a good little workout routine, I just gotta keep with it and eat right and wait a few weeks before I really see results (i'm a slow result haver haha)

hips (at fullest part): 44.5"
thighs: 24" each

30DS was shipped today(ordered it online, and "no more problem areas" too), C25K starts monday (podcast are already in my ipod!)
Had a great eating day and walked one hour
I've been eating right for 22 days now but the exercise hasn't been great so I'm kicking it up!
Now I told you guys i'm doing 30DS and C25K so i have no excuses!!

I'm in! Hopefully not for too long though :) Thought I was in the 160s, but I bought some new, digital scales and they tell me I'm 173 lbs.

I usually only weigh once a week, or I get obsessive. I had gotten obsessive recently which is why I decided to quit weighing all together- I went almost 2 months without weighing!

Well, having a 2 lb loss felt great yesterday, and I thought, "Hey I wonder, just WONDER what my loss has been since yesterday!" (i'm a glutton for punishment, this weekend we had BBQ and fair food @ the flea market, woopsie) and anyway I weighed myself this morning and I was like 3 lbs heavier than I was yesterday. I'm not freaking out, I know I'm retaining water like a sponge, but I just really wish I would not have weighed myself today.

emma- 30DS is the 30 day shred dvd by jillian michaels from the biggest loser. its a total @ss kicker, and its awesome. C25K is the couch to 5K program where it teaches you how to run a 5k in 9 weeks (ithink its 9 weeks). the w2d2 means week2 day 2 of the 9 week program. just a little lingo for some the popular programs we talk about on 3FC.

I'm not sure if I'm actually in the 170s, yet. I might be at about 181, or 180, but I'm just going to jump on in, because I'm ready to burn through these 170s! Tomorrow will be my first official weigh-in since I was last seriously trying to lose weight - in December. It's been a five month hiatus, I've gained back most of the weight I lost, but, even with horrible, awful eating habits and slothful behavior, I haven't gone any higher than I started. I'll post back tomorrow, and we'll see what the scale says. Today was such a weird day (ate and ate and ate, but then ran 30 minutes straight, a never-before accomplished feat for me) so who knows.

I feel as though I am the only person excited to be in the 170s haha. Well for now at least, I'm just glad to be out of the 180s. But more so that I want to get out of them and into the 160s! As of yesterday morning I was 178 but the day before I was 177, so I gotta get back on track! 170s never seemed possible for me because it's what I started out in, only that number started with a 2 not a 1. So 174 will be big for me, its when I will hit my hundred pound lost mark. But its all the more reason to keep going.

i am going CRAZY.

so today is the opening day of my gallery- i'm a photographer and i was chosen to be a featured artist at a gallery here in town. today's opening day. and like 3 months ago when i found out about this, i made a goal to have lost 10 lbs by the time my gallery opened so that i could wear this dress i have and feel awesome and confident while i mingle etc.

well today i am exactly the same weight i was when i made that goal.


i am SO mad at myself. i have been 170+ for i think 15 months now? maybe even longer.

i do well for a week or two and then i fall off the wagon. i don't even want to go tonight.

i really hate myself right now. i just don't know what to do. :?:

you have to go tonight, it's such a huge accomplishment!! You should be so proud of yourself!
So put on your dress, or whatever you planned to wear, fix your hair and makeup or whatever it takes and look in the mirror and tell yourself YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. No matter what size. You're going to lose weight to get healthy, it will happen. But tonight is your night and don't let anyone, not even yourself, take that away from you!

Be proud of yourself and know that you deserve to be happy.

Tomorrow, you'll get on the wagon and you'll continue your journey. We'll be here.

Well I finally lost the lb thats been driving me crazy all week!!! man my scale kept going from 174 to 174.5 to 174 to 174.5 allllll week and was driving me insane that it wasnt going lower than finally it went to 173.5 and FINALLY tonite 173!!! lol i think my body was hanging onto alot of water weight though cuz man have i had to pee some 50 times today. LOL. not exactly what everyone wants to know I am sure but its so weird how some days our bodies retain loads of water and others just expells. I really still dont get how our bodies work its Oh so confusing...BUT im happy my scale budged lol (now so long as it keeps goin down I wont be tempted to kick or yell that it must be broken...haha)

hey ladies! havent chimed in in awhile, i read most of the threads at work but i cant post there :( the weightloss has slowed down. it seemed like the first 10 pounds melted off, but now im having .5 or 1 pound losses each week. which im happy about, slow and steady wins the race, but i still have that 2 pounds a week mindset.

im in a little bit of a jeans battle right now. my 12's are old and stretched out, and look terrible on me. but i know i havent lost enough to move down to a 10, so its like, do i waste money on more 12's when i hope to be out of them soon, or look like a sack of potatoes in the mean time. argh. but NSV, i bought this cute buttondown from AE a month ago, and couldnt button the last button, so i rocked the cami look for awhile. put the shirt on this week, and buttoned all the buttons!!! so take that spare tire!

carcar, i hope your opening is fabulous. i know youll look great new dress or not. cant wait to here how it goes. and im so jazzed to hear about everyones scale victories! great job ladies. :cp:

You could try picking up a pair at a thrift store for a few bucks as opposed to shelling out the big $$$ for brand new ones, or if you have friends about your size you could find out if they have any they aren't wearing that you could borrow?

hey ladies! sorry i have been MIA!

well the opening went well but there wasn't a huge turn out so i didnt' feel as self conscious. :)

today i went to a cycling class for the first time! i feel awesome! well, and i also feel like i might puke! :) it was 5:15 am class! holy cow, huh!

i'm a late sleeper, i like to get up around 8 or 9 if i can. so being up at 4:30 to get ready was a bit insane.

definitely going to need a nap today! :)


i was 176 yesterday- i've been having some weight gain the last couple of weeks but hopefully it turns around again asap! i've been eating whole grains and drinking tons of water and filling up on lean proteins so we'll see! :)

Yes!!! I can finally join this thread! I weighed in at 179.8 this morning and had tears of joy! It took me SO friggin' long to get out of the 180s and I don't want it to be the same for the 170s. :carrot:

I am DONE with the 180s. I never want to see them again!

Haha, well I'm not sure because I've never tried working out this early until today- but it seems like it is the best way to workout for me since my toddler is still sleeping! :) Doing it late at night just doesn't happen. SO... I may have discovered my secret to workout success-- wake up way early. HAHA :)

It's a round silver bead with inlaid mother of pearl hearts. The hearts can be different colors in different light, from white to green to pink to black. It's beautiful. I haven't taken it off even once since I got it. :D

Ughhhh I think I am gonna wait another week after proper eating before weighing in...im sure i am Deffinatly still in the 170's probably even up a few lbs! =( but its time to get backon track so i can get outta the 170's once and for all and For GOOD!

I have been on plan and exercising 6 days a week for weeks and nothing. I decided to shake up my eating program and my workout. I'm going to give it a week. Hopefully it helps.


Gatorgirl, I was stuck like that for about 4 weeks and my trainer looked at 2 things. 1) My food diary. I wasn't eating enough!!! He estimated for the food I had listed I was only eating about 800 calories. He had me add in more calories because for example, I wasn't using dressing salad...he said to do so. I also was only eating mostly fruits and veggies so he had me add in yogurt, cheese, etc. to increase cals because my body was in Storage Mode because it was needing more nutrients. It was so needy it held on to everything thing because it wasn't sure when it would get more! 2) He had me cut down, almost eliminate my cardio and just focus on weights to build muscle mass to help burn more.

I lost 5 pounds that next week and then started to steadily fall after that. Maybe take a look at one of those???

OMG, your week is my EXACT week, except my period just came today and was late, not early, so I was about a day away from buying an EPT. Sheesh. I also gained 4lbs...this is so annoying!

SO annoying huh!

I saw 177.6 today so a full pound down from yesterday- man I hope I knock these pounds off asap!


So with the cycling classes, these are some other changes I've made recently:
I've given up soda... cold turkey. And I was ADDICTED to diet pepsi, I mean, 32+oz per day... I've gone 10 (or more??) days without one.

I've not eaten after 7pm for 10 (or more... haha) days as well- except for 2 days ago it was hubbys birthday...

I'm cutting sugary foods and although I already eat mostly wholegrain foods, I'm making sure I eat ONLY wholegrains and no processed garbage.

I'm also trying to eat one salad a day- either lunch or dinner.

This seems like a natural lifestyle for me, I have been in a weird funk for so so long, it feels awesome to be doing so many good for me things. :)

I've been trying hard to do the same, eating dinner early and then having at most a 1 or 2 point snack before 9. I read a study recently that it doesn't really matter what time of day you eat your meals, weight loss isn't affected. Well I beg to differ... the number on the scale in the morning is affected if only because stuff has had more time to... ahem... cycle through.

Yeah! not only that but for me I'm pretty sure I retain way more water when I eat later. And if I say no eating after 7, I am seriously cutting out a lot of mindless snacking and munchies that I would be eating otherwise.

I have good news too! SO at the beginning of the week I was freaked to see 178 on the scale- up 4 pounds in less than a WEEK!?!!

Well, the early morning cycling and eating right, and cutting out diet sodas has really made a difference for me- this morning I was expecting to see like 176+ on the scale- nope! 174.5!!!!!!!! yahoo!!! It's still MORE than I wanted to weigh- it's where I started before that big 4lb gain, but I'll take it over 178! Haha!

Hopefully this loss continues- I always stop losing at 170 and bumble around forever. Well, not this time ladies, I'm pushing through no matter what it takes!!

I gained some weight back after a 2 month stint of being off the wagon. Not much though. I was 171 this morning (I peaked at 174 before I said UH OKAY ASH GET IT TOGETHER) so I'm gonna hang around here for a little while.

SO.... Last night we went on a double date with my brother and my best friend- yes, they went on a date TOGETHER (i went with my hubby, duh)... We went to this great burger drive thru and I had a small burger and fries. FRIES. And then today? My family had a fathers day bbq and I had WHITE mashed potatoes and some bbq ribs... I feel really gross.

Going to do better this coming week :) I did great all week long but this weekend- boo. :)

I essentially maintained this weekend, which is fantastic considering what I ate.

From pizza Friday night to fast food on Saturday to Father's Day BBQ at my parent's house on Sunday, it was, as carcar05 said, a *doozy*.

Getting on the scale this morning, I was surprised to be down .2 lbs and reached 19 lbs lost (10% of my starting body weight). I'm sure I'll be crowing about 20 lbs in a few days, but I still have 2.2 lbs to go before I'm *outta heah!*

So I'd really love to do some goal setting as far as how much weight I'd like to lose by X date. But I feel like every time I've done that I have let myself down. So I really dont' want to do that this time around. I really just want to be healthy. But let's suffice it to say that my husband and I have made the decision to set October as our goal to start getting pregnant with baby #2! Our little girl will be 2 in October, and my work will be slowing down immensely in October, so it'd be a great time to get pregnant.

I had really wanted to get down to at least 150 before getting pg again-- like by the END of October. Is that possible??? Help me do this girls! I need help! :dizzy:

Hi ladies!! just a quick check in before vacation...hubby and I are going to Cancun tomorrow! :carrot:

I'm at 176.8 this week! I didn't expect to see that big of a loss but it's such motivation going into vacation (where there will be booze and yummy food) to keep things in check. my goal is to just try to maintain while we're there, but I do plan on exercising every day at the spa/fitness center at our resort.

hey ladies! havent chimed in in a while, sorry im a loser. had my weekly weigh in today...172.5! im so excited. i started this month at 177 and i wanted to be 170 by the time i go to the beach for vacation (next weekend). while i dont think ill be 170 by next saturday, im gonna be darn close and im so proud of myself.

sometimes i think, i only lost 5 pounds this month, i should have lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks. but then i think, hey, i could have continued my poor eating habits and been 189 feeling fat and bloated in my brand new cute bathing suit. and been terribly unhappy everytime i look at a picture of myself on the beach.

so im going to smile wide for every picture next weekend. im just so happy at the progress ive made so far. im trying to use the success as fuel to continue this loss.

so thats my update. hope everyone is doing great. eat those veggies and drink that water!!!

Hi girls! I'm new to 3fc, and am starting at the high end of the range at 179. I don't really have a time goal, other than I'd like to be at a "healthy" weight when I'm done my degree (which is in public health and nutrition... go figure). I'm going to try to do at least 30 minutes of exercise 5 days per week, and eat 1500 calories of good nutritious food with up to 300 cals of not-so-good for me food per day.

<sigh> Tuesday is my "official" weigh in day. Well, I'm up (was down in the 171's). 172.6 right now.

I seem to be holding steady at a rate of 4.8 lbs a month, so I should be out of the 170s by mid-July. It's mentally frustrating that this is going so slowly, but I'm glad that it really is moving.

well, back from vacation. after three days of off-plan eating im up 2 pounds. well, not really just 3 days, vacation kinda spilled over into the 4th weekend extravaganza. but im doing the summer BL challenge, and totally ready to start fresh.

gonna shoot for 5 days at the gym this week, and tracking everything on the daily plate. averaging about 5 pound loss each month i WILL be out of the 170s by the end of july.

how is everyone doing considering the holiday weekend?

ok seriously WTF.

for 3 days now I have counted my calories and last night, i was not PERFECT about counting my evening calories, BUT i was very close to perfect.

i was down 2 lbs, from 177 (yikes) to 175. this morning i went to my cycling class and when i got back i weighed myself- 177!

i'm about ready to cry. for one, i was in the low 170's for several weeks and then tried to get out of the 170's a little bit harder and next thing you know i'm in the high 170's! now i'm counting my calories, trying so hard to eat right and do this and granted i'm only 3 days into counting calories this time around, but to see that 177 again seriously makes me feel so defeated.

is this EVER going to happen?!

reminds me again what i need to remember again and again and again: jump back on and it will come back off.

carcar UGH how frustrating! gotta figure though that even if the scale rang higher after exercise your BODY was certainly better off. hang in there! you'll see it soon.

I had a mini breakdown this week and have been over points by 2-3 (not horrible but not OP) almost every day. I was pretty upset to see 172.8 on the scale Wednesday morning after having been at 170.0 on Monday.

Finally snapped out of it yesterday and the scale gave me a happy number this morning.

Leighish - You'll be in the 160's in no time and on your way down. :) I do follow your blog and I'm glad to see you back in action.

Ok I feel like if I don't share this I'm just going to explode! :bomb:

I am so happy because for the longest time I was stuck in the 190s, and then I joined a Biggest Loser challenge at my work and thankfully got down to the low 180s. Then on my own I've slowly squeaked down to being 179 something.

Well last week I lost 1.4 pounds and this week I LOST 2 POUNDS!!!! It was a bit more then I was expecting. I try to only loose 1.5 pounds a week so I do not end up gaining it back later, but I'm just too happy about my result. I weigh 176.5!!! I can't believe it! I'm so happy about it I had to share it with someone! :spin:

Since I started I've now lost 58.5 pounds!!!

I'm so glad I did not give up when I was stuck because there were times I really wanted to.

Holy cow, you guys weigh yourselves a lot! I only weigh my self maybe twice a week and only count the one I do around the same time every Saturday at the gym.

Any who I'm down 2 pounds this week again I should be out of the 170s in no time I'm hoping. I ran 3.1 miles on the treadmill in 33:09 yesterday so I was super stoked, no incline, but I figure I'll work up to it eventually.

I am so with you on that one! I too have only went down 1 pants size and I've lost 38 flipping pounds! I figure it was to be expected though and I'm an uber pear shape so my hips and thighs are never going to shrink as fast as my waist and arms....eh. Plus everyone says the closer you get to goal the faster you go down in sizes so I am truly taking that to heart.

Anywho I weighed in at 177.2 this morning. I'm happy but isn't it funny that I always want to lose even more, even faster even though I KNOW that it wouldn't be healthy to lose any faster than I am.

I seem to be seesawing between 171 and 170. I'm back up this morning (171.2) but I'm feeling really positive because I had a good mostly on points weekend. I certainly didn't go over by 3500 calories, so that pesky pound WILL come off. I've redoubled my efforts this morning and plan a low points, high hydration day. I'm very excited to see what the scale says tomorrow (Tuesday is my semi-official weekly weigh in day).

I won't be putting away my scale with you, but I will have a scale hiatus from Thursday through Monday. I'll be spending those mornings at my BF's place and I don't use his scale because it always shows higher than mine. I often find it a challenge to stay on program when I know that I don't have to face the scale in the morning, so we'll see how that goes.

No offense guys, but I REALLY want to get out of this thread.

I am with you... I find weighing every day to be motivating and a way to keep myself on track. I look forward to the lower numbers but also know when to expect a fluctuation in the scale. For instance, every single time I do major exercise like day-long hiking, the scale will be up as much as 3 lbs for the next 2-3 days, but then I will see a major drop by the end of the week. It doesn't freak me out when it happens because I expect it. I also know that if I haven't been watching my eating, then the scale will slowly start to creep up...another motivator to watch myself more with the food! I know weighing every day doesn't work for some folks, but I have to keep myself accountable every day or else I'll get lazy and complacent! ;)

I'm down to 175.4 today! :carrot:

I had started with my calories too low- then raised 'em too high- and now I'm settling around 1400-1500... Any calorie counters here?? Where are you as far as daily cals goes??

Carcar, I also calorie count. Right now I'm around 1250-1350 and it seems to be working well for me. I've wondered about upping since I exercise regularly, but so far, so good. I only dropped it that low because that was the only way the scale would get moving. I spent a month working out with a personal trainer and eating around 1500-1600 per day, and the scale never budged... so I dropped it to 1300 and things started moving for me.

Carcar- I count calories too and right now I'm eating 1200 to 1400 a day which is usually closer to 1200. Since I've started doing the 30DS and really getting my workouts in I've been feeling hungrier and what not so I might try and keep my intake above 1350 or so and see how my body reacts to that.

I weighed in at 178.4 today which is up two pounds since yesterday. I did eat a lot of processed food yesterday and a lot later in the evening than I would usually eat due to being in the library for some hours doing school work(which I should be doing now btw) so I think all that just threw my body off. I'm not really stressing about it or anything though. I'm just going to up my water intake today and see if that helps get rid of this annoying water weight.

Hey girls! Well counting my calories was a total flop today. I swear TOM is killer. Usually it isn't really this bad, but I'm like super emotional this week and it seems like everything that could be possibly stressing me out right now IS. I am going to be awesome tomorrow (because I ate way too much pizza tonight... ahem...) I drank a TON of water today, though, so go me! :)

I am having a really hard time coming up with healthy snacks and meals- I'm allergic to eggs and dairy so that is really limiting-- tight budget, allergies, and living in a small rural town means hard to find substitutions within the price range I'm willing to pay. Grrr... I wish I could take ya'll shopping with me to help me figure out new options! :)

Anyway, I'm off to do the Shred! I'm counting backwards this time through, so it's more exciting instead of seeing how many days I've done (like, day 1... day 2... day 3... etc) I'm doing it like this: 29 days left!! 28 days left!! hahaha it is more motivational to me for some reason.

I've been eating 1600 calories these last two days and I feel like I have to stuff my face to get my calories that high. As of tomorrow I'm going down to 1500 which isn't that much lower but it'll have to do for now.

I'm getting kind of frustrated with the whole pants thing still...lol... 38 pounds and only 1 pants size! arrrggghh. However, with the rate I'm at I'm hoping to hit my goal of 148 or around holloween or soon after which makes me super happy considering I had planned on hitting my goal by new years. :)

Hows everyones week going?

Congrats to everyone!! Can I join you ladies? :) I'm back at 3FC after a long absence and some lurkage (is that even a word?) and weighing in at 177.7 according to the Wii Fit a couple of days ago. I'm SOOO ready to see a 160-something on the scale, it's been at least 10 years since I've been there!

I'm watching my calories and plan on really focusing on my exercise since I am a decent maintainer without the exercise.

I have a treadmill, a recumbent bike, a punching bag (hubby's), 30DS, and the Wii Fit; right now I'm working on an official workout "plan." I'm open to suggestions if anyone wants to throw some out there :)

175.6 for my official weigh in today... I'll take it! I inflamed my IT band on my right leg while hiking last weekend and it's giving me some issues while running. I should take today off and run tomorrow morning, but I had such a good run yesterday that I'd like to run again today. Guess we'll see when I get home from work.

I'm not stepping on the scale today...went out drinking last night and I'm afraid of what it might say :( On a brighter note, we didn't eat any junky bar food AND managed to drink too much to be able to do the drunken Taco Bell run afterwards :) What is it about drinking that makes you crave junk? Is it just me?

Hopefully this keeps working. According to daily plate I'm not even in maintenance, I'm at lose 1 lb a week and little exercise

Hehe I know what you mean. I've got a huge library of workout DVDs, a ridiculous weight set that rivals the gym (thanks to hubby who likes to lift), stability ball, yoga mat, etc... and what do I do? I run outside using no equipment..haha. But they are good for days when I need to rest from running!

I'm at 173.8 this morning. :hyper: I have to go to a work function dinner tonight so it'll be a matter of controlling portions. I'm TOO CLOSE to the 160s to ruin it!

i am having the hardest freakin time lately.
i'm a photographer- it's wedding season. that's my excuse. it seems like there is ALWAYS an excuse.

have any of you heard of the "eat to live" diet? my doctor recommended it (to my dad- he's also dad's doc) and swears by it. dad is starting it but i'm skeptical of most diets. i'd rather just count calories and eat what i know is healthy-- but clearly that isn't working well for me right now. debating trying it out. annnyway... keep working hard ladies you are so motivational :)

i did a quiet F***-yeah in celebration. technically ive seen a 16x.x number before, but knew it was a weird dehydration fluke, but this one feels real. im gonna stick around a few more days to make sure it sticks.

just want to say a big thanks to carcar for bringing back this thread and to all the girls posting. i may not post here everyday, but its the first thread i read every morning, and its been a huge help/motivation to get me down the scale.

So with out a doubt I am in the 170's and hopefully I'll be seeing a smaller number tomorrow morning. I just need to get my hands on a digital scale. So much easier to read. Today I used the one at the gym before my workout.

I'm still 177 but I'm glad because I'd gone up during the week and I weighed myself at the end of the day when I was changing out of my swim suit. Needless to say I'm bit of a bloated wet fish right now. so fingers crossed and it's below this damn 177 already.

Why? Because I'm a POUND! ONE POUND! Away from being what I weighed before I moved cities and couldn't sleep and gained weight from a sleeping pill.

Hello Ladies! I won't know my weight till tomorrow because I have been out of town all weekend celebrating my 1 year anniversary with the hubby! Anyways I went to the mall today to get a belt because my pants were getting lose. While I was there I decided to go ahead and try on a size 14 pair of jeans just to see how close I was to getting into them....NEVER did I expect them to slide right on and zip up. They fit perfectly!!! I am so super excited because I haven't worn a size 14 since I was 16. WOOHOO!!

Hello everyone! I purchased a Wii Fit today and it told me that I am 175 pounds. This is the heaviest I have ever been. I am now wearing a size 10/12 and I want desperately to get back into 6/8. I am a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding in November and I look like a stuffed sausage in my bridesmaid gown. So I am getting serious about my weight loss. My plan is to try not to eat over 1500 calories a day and to do some sort of exercise (Wii Fit, 30 Day Shred, Walk Away the Pounds, elliptical at the gym) every day. I want to be 160 by the wedding and 150 by the new year! :-)

Carcar I went from calorie counting to south beach were I eat as much as I want and don't calorie count. I've lost 6lbs in the 3 or 4 days I've been on it.

That's what I do. My body can't handle meat, don't ask me ask the doctor... or my tummy. So I substitute almost every thing with some sort of soy.

dizzy- i don't know what to eat for breakfast since i can't do eggs or milk (or fruit, or oatmeal... or any cereal... hahaha southbeach!!!). any suggestions?

ok I moved the scale to 175.8. I ate high carb and moderate cals today. Tomorrow I'm going back to low carb, low cal.

car, car, almond milk, and some nuts. the phase 1 is basically very very low carbs. meat and veggies. Do you like peanutbutter?

of COURSE i like peanut butter! :) it says only 1 tsp / day though! :P

i bought some really yummy lunch meat today - cracked pepper crusted turkey breast. no sugars, 99% fat free- delicious and fun to snack on. i am goign to experiment with that and some turkey bacon for breakfast. like little bacon roll ups or something.

day 1 went well! :)

Haha! I finally made it into the 170's category! To some, this is a bad memory, but, to me, it's an exciting goal! :) I can't wait to leave the 170's behind...FOREVER! Muhahaha!

177.8 today. Hopefully, I progress in my success, if you know what I mean. :)

I don't know if you have it where you live. But I go to a specialty store that sells basically everything and anything made veggie. AKA tofu galor. And they have "egg white tofu" Basically it's tofu that tastes like egg whites. And I normally scramble that for breakfast. Or grab some nuts.

Good Morning ladies! After two wonderful weeks in Canada, the jury is back with a verdict. 174.2lbs this morning. But, I would like to make it clear that I was also trying to help someone else gain weight. My mother is down to a size zero. I can count her bones and it really scared me. Thus, I cooked all of her favorite foods and baked almost every day. Combine that with Tim Horton's and you have a 6 lb gain. (Granted, some of it will come off quite quickly)

I'm sure you'll be back down there soon, leighish! I'm about your weight, and I'm your height as well. Isn't it exciting to be in the "not overweight" category finally? Well I guess you're technically ONE pound overweight, but I'm sure you'll lose it in no time. =D

dizzy- i came up with a new little breakfast- i made up some turkey bacon and put that in turkey. i used to be vegetarian- i am very low meat right now. so it was surprising to me that i loved that breakfast. :) i just HAD to eat something for breakfast. i liked it. i will probably do the bacon wrapped in lettuce next time but i didnt' have any ready so ... tomorrow. :)

i am down a pound since yesterday. :)
