I got the funniest compliment ever today - kids say the darnedest things! But they always call it like they see it.
I'm an elementary Art teacher, and I'm used to being unintentionally insulted by the younger kids. (one day I was wearing red lipstick, and a student walked in and cheerfully said "You look like a clown!" as if that was a good thing.)
Anyways, school staff wear photo ID badges, and the photo on mine is from September. Since then I've lost about 25 pounds, mostly in the last few months.
Well, one of the kindergarten students looked at my badge and asked who's picture it was. I said, "That's me." He looks up at my face, then points at the badge and says, "But
that face is fat!".
I just laughed and said thanks, but of course he didn't realize he'd given me a back-handed compliment. It made me smile all day!
I guess my weight loss is starting to show!
