Hi ladies:)
I was just wondering what your 1 or 2 rules are for successful weightloss that have worked for you?
Mine is never eating until I'm full, just satisfied. :)

Starting out, it was not eating after 8. That's when I snacked the most so I just marked it off there. I lost like 15lbs doing just that. Since then, I'm with Pammy on portion control.

Planning, like others said. But to change it up a bit, I also think that it's important not to be too strict because for me, that can lead to a binge or several weeks off plan.

Exercise! and good food judgment. But exercise has been the most important thing for me.

1. Never eat unless i'm hungry.
2. Only eat enough to not be hungry.
3. Do not eat food other people have prepared. Needless to say I absolutely refuse to eat out, and only eat what I bring to parties and stuff, but I was like that long before I started dieting due to the fact that I think everyone is gross and I don't want them touching or breathing near what i'm about to put in my mouth.

Don't eat candies, soda and snacks.. When I skip that and do some kind of exercise I lose weigh.. It's just so hard to stay OP..

Writing down everything I eat! As soon as I stop doing that, that's when the weight loss stops and the pounds start creeping back on.

Exercise, and no sugar. I am 100% convinced that sugar is addictive. Trying to give it up is soooo hard. I crave something sweet so bad that it's all I can think about, but if I can get through a few days, the cravings go away and I'm just fine. And being able to cut that sugar out makes _such_ a difference in calories!

1) drink 2-3 liters of water a day
2) eat foods with high fiber and lean protein at the same time to help keep me fuller longer

Staying positive. I don't allow myself to gawk at my body in the mirror and think negative, hurtful thoughts about myself anymore. When I used to do that, I'd end up binging because I was in the habit of 'eating my emotions', if you will.

Portion control here. I have NO problem exercising - for me, that's the EASY part. It's not getting seconds and not eating sweets that always mess me up!

Exercise at least thirty minutes every day, with major ramp-up in exercise on the weekend, when I have more time.
Count calories and plan out food at the beginning of the day, if not at the beginning of the week. Using this method, the only problem I've really had is that I've done very badly about planning my food on Saturdays. Saturday has consistently been when I sabotage myself by not having a food plan and being too lazy/harried to cook something healthy. That's when I find myself ordering in a pizza and chugging beers. Seriously, every setback I've had has been because of a hectic Saturday. Otherwise, walking and counting has worked wonders.

1. Counting calories, I try to stay between 1200 and 1500 calories a day
2. Drinking lots of water

Writing down everything I eat and writing down the calories. I try to stay below 1200 a day.
Also drinking LOTS of water. I'm taking Adipex P and my only side effect is dry mouth so I can drink 90 ounces of water while sitting at my desk at work without even trying.
I've been doing moderate exercise two or three times a week, but I plan to start doing more as my weight loss has kind of hit a stand still for the past 2 weeks.
