Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.


Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem . And you are witnesses of these things.

I TOLD YOU SO



If you are an old time baseball fan, you have probably heard a replay of the famous announcers scream after an important victory - “Cubs win!, Cubs win!, Cubs win!”



Well, we too with Christians around the world can scream “Christ wins!, Christ wins!, Christ wins!”



And you know what?

God told us so thousands of years before it happened.



God’s word is accurate and trustworthy.



As we read God’s word, He tells ( told) us over and over what was going to happen:
From Genesis Genesis 3:15; to Isaiah Isaiah 53 ;, God teaches us about His future –
and our future. His victory, and through Christ - it is also our victory!



Our future is secure because:



Jesus willingly took our sins upon Himself for us and our salvation on the cross



Jesus physically accomplished what He told us and the disciples would happen.



(Paul reminds us of this in 1 corinthians 15



No matter what is happening in life - when friends, bosses, co- workers, neighbors, family, or the economy let us down or disappoint us, we can always be sure of God's promises to us. And we can know that through Christ, He has already given us victory, and our ultimate outcome is assured.



His victory for us and our salvation means that we can trust God and know that:



Forgiveness is assured!
We can cast our anxieties on Him and He will take care of us!
God will never forsake or fail us!


A quick glance at the newspaper might make it seem like He's losing, but our outcome is already assured, WHY?



Because He told us so!



God has told us so! All of us can now relax, live boldly, secure in our future.
We can process the ups and downs this life on earth throws at us, praising God as we yell out in joy Christ Wins!



AMEN!
