Thumbs up Hello, From San Diego

Hi Everyone,
I found this site on Monday by accident and now I'm hooked. I just started the cookie diet on Monday also and have been very encouraged by reading everyone's comments and success stories. If anyone else out there has done this diet, I'd love to hear about your experience.

Thank you both.
The cookie diet is called Smart for Life and it's suppose to be a well balanced cookie with vitamins and nutrients. I have 6 a day and a light dinner with either chicken or fish and lots of leafy salad. I'm on my third day and so far so good. I was skeptic at first, but I haven't even gotten a headache, which I get every time I go on a strict diet.

Beerab,
You're in San Diego, how cool. I'm in the valley where are you? I saw your pictures on your blog (cute couple) and you seemed a little familiar but you're younger than I am to know you from school(???) You look like you have a hint of middle eastern or latina, do you?

Anyways, I'm glad someone replied. Thanks again.

Default Cookie Diet

Well there are a couple of cookie diets that out there. I'm doing the Smart for Life one. I did a little research on it before deciding to get on it, I figured I don't have much too lose except weight at this point. That's how I ended up finding this site. I googled Smart for Life and saw that a "few" people at 3fc were on it. I've only been on it for five days and I like it.

The diet consists of eating 6 cookies a day. You spread them out throughout the day and have a sensible dinner with chicken, fish or turkey (10-12oz) and lots of leafy salad, as much as you want but no dressing or one that is super low in calories. I use lemon. The cookies taste ok, the texture is like a brownie crossed with a scone. They have chocolate chip, oatmeal and blueberry. (my least favorite is bluberry). I actually needed a diet this strict to get me jump started into losing weight. I know that once I see that I am losing weight I will stick to any diet. For now I bought the 14 day plan from Costco. The cookies satisfy me for a few hours, the hardest time is at about 3ish but I just have another cookie and wait until dinner around 6 or 7 depending on how hungry I am. I save one cookie for after dinner and have it around 9ish. I actually find that I have to force myself to eat the last cookie so I may change my system next week.

I don't do diet pills and have tried WW several times with success but not for long. In the past every diet I tried would give me a headache and drop my sugar level to where I had no energy. (low carb diets) With this cookie diet I have not had one headache and have felt fine. I should be exercising but I havent' this week. Monday will be a week on the diet and I hope to have lost at least a couple of pounds. I guess I should stop here. I can go on and on.
