What a great birthday present! (54 tomorrow).

Today I weigh 191, which takes me out of severely obese into plain old obese - and 51lbs lost from original start weight 34lbs lost since 01/27/09.

To say I'm pleased is an understatement, not just because
I'm Well away from the 200s now
I'm on my way to my June 14 target (179)

but because my college trip Sunday/Monday, had lots of traditional trigger moments to break the Plan plus lots of emotional triggers 'to have just one...', and I ignored them all. It's not quite quite automatic yet, in fact it's at the stage of 'look at me! I'm resisting!' (inwardly, I don't impose the thought process on others) but it's so nearly automatic that I'm delighted.

Thankyou for all your support!

Soon you will just be overweight!

My BMI also just recently slipped under 40 (39.5 right now) so I'm also happy to just be run of the mill obese :)

Well aren't you just amazing? Yes, you're obese (yay!!!), and I know just what a relief that is, but I'm more blown away by your attitude and your determination. Staying on plan though out of your "comfort zone", out of your element and faced with temptation. THAT'S what it's all about.

Obese? Not for long honey. Not you. Nu-uh. I am seeing overweight in your future. And then we know what's next - "normal". Ahhhhh. :)

How exciting! That is fantastic!!

You and I have some of the same stats. We are the same height and age but I started at a much higher weight than you. I love watching your postings as I feel like you are leading the way for me! You are truly inspirational! I have gotten very excited looking forward to 217 and downward. There are so many major milestones between 217 and 190 for us 5 foot 2ers.

You keep going, I am right behind you!

Ailidh,

I don't remember reading about your plan. How are you achieving such wonderful loss?

Robin - double lol!

Timetolose - I'm just counting calories and not going too low. I'm averaging 1450-ish, aiming for 1500-1550 but leaving a bit of a gap to allow for accidental underestimating.
I've cut out bought bread, red meat and dairy, because I've discovered they contribute to fluid retention.

I've increased my activity but am not a massive exerciser yet, just a daily walk 5/7. The gym is next month's goal.

Thanks Ailidh,

We are eating in the same calorie range. You seem to be losing faster but that may be that just be my perception.
