Default Acai Berry-anyone have pros or cons about it?

I have thought about taking Acai Berry, and was wondering if anyone is taking it now, or has taken it, and what you think about it. Does it help with losing weight? or is it just a scam?

I have come to conclude after years of wasting my money on all that junk that NONE of it works. You only have 7 pounds to go- don't rely on a supplement cuz as soon as you get off you'll gain the weight back and then some. Grrr.... lol.

All I know is that I get TONS of junk mail daily telling me I should be taking it. Read into that what you may... for me, it gets met with the delete button.

our local news station here did a HUGE report on it.. they spanned it out over a week and they came up with this:
1. This was never ever studied by a group of scientist or anything along this line, that these pills work.

2. FDA is against the acai berry pills.

3. Companys that tell you that you get a free trial of these are lying. they repeatly charged the customers credit cards crazy amounts of money for a months worth of pill that were to be FREE!!

4. Last but not Least: IT DOES NOTHING!!!!

This is what they found out. I have never taken it so i dont know but they really did research it and it was a very informal week of information on this berry..

Just because Oprah endorses it doesn't mean it works. Come on, does it look like it worked for her?

Don't get me wrong...I like Oprah, it's just that not everything she supports or says really is true.

Acai berries are a wonderful source of anti-oxidants but never have been shown to have any effect whatsoever on weight loss. It's a mystery why they're being promoted as a weight-loss supplement. Maybe because it sounds exotic and new?

Oprah never endorsed it though, the ads are just a scam. The only connection between Oprah and acai is that one time Dr. Perricone was on her show discussing super foods and acai was on the list. That's it. It is high in antioxidants, but recent reports have said it may not be any more effective than blueberries - just more expensive. Anyway, any ads you see for products supposedly endorsed by Oprah or Dr Oz are scams

I'm very grateful for the acai craze - because it's brought down the cost of blueberry and pomegranate juices. I don't drink a lot of juice, but when I do, I generally buy a cranberry pomegranate or cranberry blueberry blend, and then dilute with water or a bit of diet Sprite.

The berries are healthy, but many berries are healthy. They aren't some magic food that will make the pounds fall off.

I am trying something called Acaiburn and so far it seems ok. It hasn't been long enough for me to tell if it will do anything. I know it doesn't make me jittery or sweaty like some other things I've tried. The ingredients in what I have are all just blood sugar stabilizers which helps control hunger because you have minimal crashes in sugar level... but I can let you know if I have any luck. But if I do my guess is most of it will be going to the gym, but for blood sugar help is good help for my diabetes.

the acai berry craze is really causing damage to the area they are grown, the poor people there use those berries as a source of nutrition, but now the prices have sky rocketed and harder for them to find. kind of sad really.

I bought that Acai- berry tablets.. and it didn't do anything for me.. did not curb the appetitie or weight loss.. if you order it and they say a free 30 day trial, just pay shipping.. when you get it there is a small piece of paper and on the back it says if you don't cancel your order within 30days you will be charged $80.00 for the next shipment.. Be very careful.. thats how they get you.. nothing is free..Its better to learn how to eat right and keep it off, then take pills and go off and gain it all back and then some..
