Medifast - WonderSlim/Medifast as Part of Low Cal (Not Low Carb) Diet

I know there are a number of people out there that are using WonderSlim/NLS and Medifast together, but I was just wondering if there is anyone out there that is using these products but not counting carbs. I am having a hard time getting my daily calories down to 1200 (usually in the 1500-1700 range now), and thought that these products would be helpful. I don't want to give up high-fiber healthy carbs and want to incorporate them into a low calorie diet, so using Medifast plan by the letter isn't what I am looking for (tried it already!). Thanks for your input!

Hi, I would think that anyone who is doing a 5 and 1 plan, using only meat, fish, etc and a vegetable for their Lean and Green would be getting the proper amount of carbs, without counting them(assuming as you mentioned, they are following the Medifast, NL or WS plans). I am not sure whether this answers your question or not. Since I follow the 5 and 1, I do not count anything, as between 5 supplements and 6 oz meat or fish and a vegetable, I feel I am within range.

I just thought I would provide an update in case anyone was curious...I placed an order with DietDirect and have incorporated about 5 protein supplements into my diet per day, while watching my calorie intake and keeping it between 1200-1250, and it has been working great! I have been doing this for 2 1/2 weeks now, and I have lost 5 pounds already! I don't get horrible hunger pains or feel hungry all the time. I am so happy that I found something that works for me.

Good for you, that you found a plan that is right for you ! :) I use Diet Direct products, along with a few of my favorite Medifast supplements. DD has quite a variety, so as not to create boredom.
Best wishes on your weight loss journey. I am happy for you! :)

I personally have found carbs to be much, much more detrimental to me than calories. Calories are everywhere and you can have a no calorie drink that destroys your body. Sorry, but I count the carbs more than the calories
