I saw the sticky above saying there won't be any new or renewed ad-free subscriptions for awhile. When will we be able to renew? It is nearly impossible for me to browse this site with the ads because it slows my work computer down to a crawl.

Thanks!

What browser are you using? I use Firefox and never experience hangups.

I just downloaded Firefox & I'm not having problems now. IE was getting impossible since my subscription has expired. I think it was all the ads.

I'm sorry about that, we'll let you know when we can activate the subscriptions again and appreciate your interest in it :)

We reduced the ads and no longer have pop ads, and just have google type ads - 1 on top and 1 on the side. This should be quick loading, but IE seems to have some issues. Firefox is fantastic, though, I hope you'll like it!

I have firefox and do fine although sometimes it will "time out". Usually I'll just go to Yahoo then come back and it comes right up. I did go thru pure he!! for about a week after the New York Times announcements.:dz:

I was hoping this was announcing the subscriptions were back. I don't need to get rid of the ads since it seems my brain has a built in ad blocker. But, this site means so much to me I would like to be able to support it in some way.

I do okay with Firefox, but sometimes get the same server timeout message as Operator.

I would love to be able to subscribe again, too!

Thanks for removing pop-ups and such--it really did slow things down!

I visit 3FC mostly from work (at least right now! LOL), and can't download anything permanent on my computer, lest the Geek Squad come breaking down my door.

I have no problems at home, though...:)

Yeah, IE seems to be the culprit. I have it at work and it drives me nuts! At home I use Mozilla and everything is fine.

I use Firefox with No Script and didn't even know there were ads. I would like to subscribe though, as someone else said, just to support 3FC. I wouldn't be where I am without this site

I would also like to subscribe to support the site. It is well worth it!!

I use Google chrome & it works fine, though I'd love to see the ad free subscription starting again.

I thought this thread was maybe to announce the subscriptions were starting again.

I have been through so many issues with 3FC computer wise and had come back because I love the site but my computer has issues again because of ads, although it is better since there are no pop-ups. Beyond that I really just hate the ads; they take a long time to load (old computer and I don't want to and am not really able to switch browsers), and I also want to be a "supporter."

It has been so disappointing not to be able to renew the ad free subscriptions or have any idea when they will be possible again.

I am so sorry to be such a complainer as again, I love the site and love the three sisters. :)
