Hey all :-)
Sorry if this is not the right place for this.
I am a newbie here as you can probably see from my post count!
I need a bit of advice about setting goals and when to achieve them etc. Having never really been serious about losing weight before I don't really know what is a realistic amount of time to lose a stone etc...
I plan to lose weight by eating a healthy, calorie controlled diet and doing regular exercise. I haven't a particular diet plan I am going to follow as i want this to be more about a change of lifestyle rather than being on a diet!
I am 18, female, 5'1" and weigh 168 lbs currently. I want to get down to 9 stone (126 lb) but I don't know when is a realistic time scale to achieve this by. The trouble i have had in the past when trying to lose weight is that i am really impatient and think i should be thin in a month!
I know many people set goals such as holidays, weddings etc but i don't have anything major like this coming up which means it is hard to work out when to want to achieve things by etc.
I was thinking my first goal should be to lose 10% of my weight (16.8lbs). Is this a good goal? When would be a realistic time scale to achieve this.
Sorry this is a long post!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
