I have decided I am buying a VESPA scooter--sky blue in color. Just wanted to share! :) I have always adored the whole look of the Vespa--and it's somewhat a GREEN choice. I can't help it. I want my Vespa, my wide legged and flowy pants--long scarf flying in the wind. Just like my weight loss, the idea of getting a VESPA is all about me. "There is no room for anyone else" is basically the reply I had from my hubby on the matter and my answer was, "Precisely." :carrot:

I haven't ridden one yet so I don't even know! Please God let them be automatic!

LOL - WE ARE KINDRED SPIRITS!

I bought an electric scooter as my "goal" reward last spring :)

And - I LOVE mine!

Here is a pic from last May (20 lbs heavier, but very, very happy with my new scooter)

Thank you everyone! Yes, I will definitely post a pic! Ladies, look out for me on the streets--I will be the one in the wide-legged trousers and the Christian Dior scarf blowing in the wind--as soon as I find one at the thrift store that is! LOL--sorry, I'm cheap.

COUNTING DOWN! OMG! You look precious on that thing. 20 pounds heavier? Whoa--so thin and fit in the pic already! We are indeed kindred spirits. I have been checking into the Vespa but may be buying a different brand--for cost reasons--also my number 1 choice was actually to buy a PINK scooter and the models of the Vespa I want do not come in pink.

That rocks!! I would love a Vespa! There's a black one around the corner at a shop near me, with pink detailing and pink skulls on it! Now I'm tempted to check out the price!!

Go you!!

Thanks! Hubby is giving me a hard time about it due to safety concerns. I am not taking it out on the freeways or anything--just to scooty poot around my area of town.

I love scooters! My high school boyfriend had one and he took me around on it all the time. My mom says that once all her kids are out of the house, she's going to sell her car and get a scooter, since she doesn't really ever drive very far. It's cheaper, better for the environment, more stylish, and wayyy more fun!!! Enjoy yours and I'll be waiting for pictures!!

Thighs, he does have a legitimate concern about safety. One of my college pals in CA had an accident this winter - he's still recovering. I can appreciate the allure, and if you're as mindful with the driving as you are with weight loss, you should be able to avoid the idiots on the road. :) You're gonna look awesome on that Vespa!

CountingDown, I dunno where you are in Michigan - but wow - you are exceptionally brave! Not only can the roads swallow that scooter, but Michigan drivers are ... uh, a unique bunch! I see how drivers treat bicyclists and motorcyclists - it makes me cringe!
