Hello everyone! :)

I usually eat big salads or a healthy sandwich with low fat fixings for lunch but I need some ideas for some healthy snacks.

I am getting a bit bored with salad and fruit and sometimes crave something sweet.

Any ideas would be appreciated-thanks!

I know you said you were tired of fruit . But i like to make a fruit salad. I use whatever fruit that is in season that i like,
and i chop it up in a bowl. then i mix in a couple of tespoons of
either the strawberry sugar free kool aid or the tropical punch
one, and then i mix in a little fat free cool whip. It really good.

It is funny you should mention fruit salad. Since a lot of fruit is coming into season I have been making fruit salads with things like strawberries, nectarines, blueberries, bananas and cantaloupe. I then take some light vanilla yogurt and put that on top with some Natural Oven's Granola. It really makes a nice filling snack.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! :)

I love fresh fruit salad...the kool aid and cool whip sounds yummy!

I have never really eaten granola but I will give the fruit, yogurt and granola combo a try.

Thanks Domina for putting the points on those snacks.

Sweet tooth, hmm. Oh yes.

We get these biscotti at Sam's that are individually wrapped; two points each. Great when dipped in coffee.

For a real treat, try the instant Skinny Vanilla Vibe latte, a mix that's easy to make, for just one point.

I love an apple with a T of FF carmel dip that's a filling 2 pt. snack; skinny cow ice cream sandwich. I cut them in half for 1 pt. ; blue bunny sugar free fudge bar = 1 pt.; I use splenda sugar substitute on fruit, etc. It really does tast like sugar it's just more flaky than granular like reg. sugar. Has anyone cooked with splenda?

I get a post-lunch sweet tooth no matter what I eat for lunch, so I keep hard candy in my desk. Right now I'm working on a bag of Baskin & Robbins mint chocolate chip, individually wrapped, which are 20 calories and 1/3 gram fat so no points so long as I eat just one; same goes for indivually wrapped lifesavers. The key with hard candies is not to chew them up but to suck on them for a long time, which fools your mind into thinking you're eating lots of sweets ;)

just to let you know, lenore, that they also make a sugar-free version of that candy.. 10 calories each. I picked up mine at wal-mart.
They give you that sweet taste!
