Guess we are getting our Easter snow. Well I did watch the country music awards last night. But I didnt get out the cross stitch. I did play a little hand held game though. But I really need to get the cross stitch out. I got two started and need to finish. Maybe one of these days. Got sons work jeans in the washer. Waiting on them. Then after bit will get ready and go to town. And WW. Not sure how the scales will be today. Hopefully down. TEJAS I had a apple and shredded wheat with a little milk on it for breakfast. Hope you had a great day at work. Well I am going to get off here. Just thought I would check in. I hope everyone is ok. Thinking of each of you. I am sure you will have it off next week. Have a great day. coco ontarget 04-06-2009, 02:55 PM Rhonda, thank you for the new pages. It's cold here but no precip of any kind. The weather guesser is talking freeze tonight. This should be our last cold spell for the spring. Maryann, I hope you're feeling better. That's a small gain. You'll lose it quickly. Coco, what are you cross-stitching? Are they gifts? I am op and doing great. Tomorrow is WI. I'm hoping for at least 1 lb lost. We'll see. Curtis is working on IRS right now. Life goes on. Have a Magnificent Monday, everyone. Tejas 04-06-2009, 06:29 PM The snow continues. I ate some pizza today with the students but not much so I'll survive it. I have not done any exercise really today and I've got to run to pottery class. Maybe throwing pots will get a little exercise! Rhonda Tejas 04-06-2009, 10:31 PM Hey! Where is everyone? Shoveling snow again?? Pottery class was great. I'm starving. OK, breathe, drink some water, eat some chicken breast or something. I hope you're all having a good night! Rhonda ontarget 04-06-2009, 11:58 PM I'm here. This afternoon I bought some Skinny Cow Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sandwiches. They are goooooood. Tomorrow is WI. I have managed to end the week with 3 WPA's and all my AP's left. I believe in miracles. sindy9001 04-07-2009, 02:35 AM The weather is good in the city where I live.http://photo-collection.co.cc/img/3177/m08o1007wnyc/biggrin.gif beach bum 04-07-2009, 09:52 AM Good Morning Ladies:) Its another gloomy day,and I think its my ankle that's giving me problems when walking. Going to make an appointment with then doctor and find out why,did I sprain it when carrying a huge basket of laundry down to the basement. COCO be careful, going down stairs, that's when I found my leg was hurting. COCO-Thanks I'm sure the weight will be off,now that I found the Spark people web site with all the different graphs from protein, carbs, fat & calories they even have a graph for sodium. So I will make use I never over dose on that again. No snow just cloudy with a chance of rain. SANDRA-We had our taxes done in Feb and the government owed us money this time around. That .4 is not what I worried about, its the whole last 16 to get rid of. Never tried skinny cow, even though I have a coupon for them.I like the WW a la modes right now for 3 pts. RHONDA-Was busy tending my leg didn't want to move around much so of course my exercising is held at bay.Glad you having a great time at your pottery class. What kind of pottery are you making????? Have a great morning, going to see if I can get an appointment with the doctor to look at my leg/ankle. blessedwithsarah 04-07-2009, 10:10 AM Hi everyone. Things are going well here. Just really busy.. Work is busy, life is busy. My calendar for April is just so full! Going to the accountant today to get our taxes done. Lets hope for a nice big refund. We usually do get one, but seem to pay the state the last couple of years. I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow am and start tracking that. I may be able to go to ww meeting tomorrow, but just in case I need to start tracking on my own. There are only 6 weeks left in this session, I don't think I'll spend the money on the next one since I've missed so many. Oh well. Maryann, hope your ankle is OK. OOH Skinny cow -- I may need to look for those when I go shopping today. YUM. Well, got to head out, our appt is at 10. BBL coco99 04-07-2009, 05:51 PM Just a quick stop. To say "HI" I will be back later. coco ontarget 04-07-2009, 06:53 PM Sandy, did you used to post here before? I'm thinking you did but I'm not recognizing your avatar. If you're new here--:welcome: If you've been here before--:welcome: back. I went to WW this AM and did have a loss. I can't tell you how proud I am of that. This has been a difficult week what with spending so many WAP's the first day, but I made it. Maryann, I'm jealous. Wish I just had 16 lbs to go, but I understand that those 16 can be the most difficult. Good success to you. Paula, I've only seen those strawberry shortcake Skinny Cows at one store. They are worth looking for. Yummy for sure. coco99 04-07-2009, 09:19 PM Hi Everyone Well we had some snow today. This morning the roads were bad in some areas. Not much went on here today. Had some errands to run. Went to Micheals. Looking for a light bulb for my lamp. It is similar to those they sale at Micheals. But not from there. In fact mine came from JoAnn Fabrics. Anyway. The bulb was going bad. But Micheals didnt have the kind my lamp took. So they told me to go to Lowes. The one guy said they didnt have that kind of light. Was looking in where like the shop lights were. Then this other guy came. Said if we have them they would be over here. Went over there. Nope dont have them. Walked on down the aisle a little bit. Wait is this what you are looking for. We only have one. It was it. Cost $10. But well worth it. Now I will be able to see doing the cross stitch. Need good light for that. So that has been my day. For some reason. I just am feeling achy all over. Especially my legs and feet. Oh well. ONTARGET The cross stitch things are going to be gifts if I ever get them done. I have two started at the same time. So I need to just work on one at a time. Instead of working some on one. then some on the other. When I get them done. I will put them in picture frames. They are only 5 X 7 size. :carrot: ON THE LOSS. That is great. BEACHBUM Sure hope you leg gets to feeling better. My legs and feet are achy tonight. Think it was because I was on them a good bit today. Walking in Micheals and then Lowes. Took some Motrin. That helped. Probably should take some more. Maybe before I go to bed I will. BLESSEDWITHSARAH Hope you got a big tax refund. We didnt have to pay. But we dont get anything back either. TEJAS I had a small stromboli today and salad. Now I will have to watch the rest of the week. But I think that will help me deal with Easter better. Knowing I over did it today. Now I will have to be really good over the weekend. And then I have to weigh in on Monday. At weigh in I lost 2 lbs last night. So was happy with that. I hope I can lose 1/2 a lb for next week. And that will make me 5%. That is what I have been doing. Is 5% instead of the 10% like they say. Well I am going to get off here. Need to get some more water in. While we were running today. I didnt get it all in. Hope everyone is doing ok. Thinking of each of you. coco ontarget 04-07-2009, 11:08 PM Coco, I'm glad you found that lightbulb. You're lucky they had one left. blessedwithsarah 04-08-2009, 09:00 AM Good morning - have a few minutes before DD has to go out for the bus. I weighed myself this morning. I've stayed the same for the past few weeks. I'm OK with that since I have not been faithfully following the program. I added a new siggie - I'm going to focus on the next 5 pounds. I'll change a sad face to a happy face when I lose. Something different. We made out well with our accountant, we seem to always pay the state a small amount, but a fed refund is on its way. It will cover DHs IRA contribution for 2008. So, we're even. Not too bad. Our accountant will take care of us next year and then he is retiring. I'm happy for him, but we've been going to him for as long as we've been together, DH even longer. I did find the skinny cow ice creams. I didn't pick them up yesterday, I'll get them Friday when I go to my regular market. The one I went to yesterday is just too expensive. I'm off on Friday so I'll go and get all my Easter things and those as well!! They had the strawberry and mint. YUM. Coco and Sandra, congrats on the losses! Maryann, hope your leg is better. Hi Rhonda, Donna, and Sandy. WELCOME Sandy! Got to get moving. BBL coco99 04-08-2009, 10:23 AM Morning Everyone Just had my oatmeal. Wanted something warm this morning. So had that. So thought I would get on here for a few. Got to wash clothes today. Not sure what else I will get into. Need to pay some bills. And get some Thank You's wrote out. Other than that. Nothing planned. BLESSEDWITHSARAH I know what you mean about your accountant retireing. Ours semi retired this year. But still did our taxes. Now next year we will have to find someone else. Hope you have a great day. ONTARGET yes we were lucky we found out light bulb. I think if we go back to a different Lowes. I will see if they have one. And go ahead and buy it. then I will have it. BEACHBUM AND VICKIE hope you are both doing ok. Thinking of you. Well I better get off here and get busy. Will be back later. coco beach bum 04-08-2009, 10:27 AM Good Morning Ladies:) Going to be a quite day for the both of us,did most food marketing yesterday and now we can relax until my DD & her family arrive on Tuesday. I'll just do as much as I can, won't over do it with this bum leg. PAULA-Hope you get a good refund, the money will come in handy to have in your pocket not theirs. That's a good idea to track your weight yourself. I found that the WW meeting room digital scale was always 4 lbs more than my waist high physician scale W) a balance beam. So I go by that now,the only thing I miss about the meeting room are the friends I made there. A little amount goal is better than a large amount,it's less stressful that way. SANDRA-I think the 16 lbs left is the hardest to lose. Before I had double that amount, as my goal was 140,but my doctor this Feb moved it up to 150.Congrats for maintaining. COCO-You definitely need good light to do any craft especially in the evening.During the day when the sun light coming in to room I can thread a needle with out any glasses on. My ankle is getting better,I'm using the RICE Method[Rest,Ice,Compress & Elevation] .Walking will do it,along with dampness in the air during a storm.Hope you resting as well. My body aches all over when the barometer goes down.BIG Congrats:carrot: on your 2 lb loss and just think to reach your 5% I never got that chance to get to my 10% when I was at WW.You'll do it,I have faith in you. Have to go,and get my left elevated on the couche TechAlum 04-08-2009, 10:56 AM Hello All, Haven't been around for a while because I've been feeling pretty :p We got 3+ inches of snow Sun night/Mon :( Luckily it all melted on the pavement so I didn't have to shovel, pretty sure my shoulder would not have liked that. Yesterday it was as the NWS said "brisk" out with scattered snow flurries it really looks more like Christmas out than Easter. Supposed to break today tho, the sun is shining and it's supposed to hit upper 40's this afternoon. I did get a walk in yesterday, all bundled up. Bought the dog his pack and walked him with it empty and just like the "dog whisperer" said it puts him in traveling mode, however his traveling mode is faster than mine  One of us will need to change, but it seemed to work well. Now I just need to get back on the wagon and all will be well. Coco and Sandra - Congrats on the loss :carrot: Maryann - hope you're ankle is better. Rhonda and Paula - Have a great day everyone. -Tech Athenawithheart 04-08-2009, 11:03 AM Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't been checking in lately -- lots of drama in my life regarding the divorce. I haven't been sleeping so well. But here's the good news: If everything goes OK, I may get my 10% award today at WW! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. When I joined in January after being stuck for a year, I thought the 10% was totally, utterly, hopelessly impossible. And now here I am a few months later. Who knew? I still remember my leader's famous words, "If you're on a plateau, following the simply filling plan is a great way to start losing again." She deserves a medal! But I've continued to do beautifully with the nutrition. I think I have only not prepared a meal at home once or twice since I moved out the first week of March. I've also noticed I get fuller on *much* less food than before. So I just eat until I'm satisfied, and then either throw it away or put it in the fridge for later. Sometimes I still take more than I can eat, so hopefully my eyes will catch up sometime. (But at least what I'm taking is healthy!) Tejas 04-08-2009, 11:12 AM Congrats on the losses, Coco and Sandra! Maryann, right now I'm just throwing pots on the wheel. I did a rather half-decent job on the first three. This week I painted them for firing. I think that the teacher does the firing so I'll see the product next week. We are having the strangest experience with this renovator. He does very good work, but his work habits are bizzare. He has a friend/helper who comes with him and they both talk ALL the time, as if they were guests in our house instead of people we've hired to do something. This happened before with the other people we had in. I just want someone to do the work, not attempt to entertain me. Very, very strange to me. At least I can escape to the office. I've not been keeping good track of what I'm eating, but I'm being conscious of what I'm doing. I don't think I've gained anything, and might have even lost. I'll check when my life is my own and the scale isn't under something else... hopefully sometime soon... We don't talk politics here, but I must tell you about something I've just read that I think is the best explanation I've read yet. It's not partisan politics. It is a Bill Moyers's interview with William Black who has written a book about the economic mess we're in. If you're interested you can just Google "Bill Moyers William Black" and find links to it. It was on PBS. OK, everyone I need to get out of here. Oh, we're going to go see Willie Nelson tonight! :woohoo: Rhonda coco99 04-08-2009, 01:36 PM Hi Well am washing clothes. Was going to hang things out. But the sun is warm. But the air is too cold for me. Especially handling wet clothes. The temp is 43 But air cold. So will save those things to wash later. When it is a warmer day. But still have plenty of washing to do. ATHENAWITHHEART WELCOME. Sorry to hear about your divorce. CONGRATS on the 10%. That is awesome. I am doing 5% instead. Sometimes when I see the 10% I feel like I will never get there. But with the 5%. It dont look like as much. But I need to lose 1/2 a pound and I will have my 5%. And I feel bad. If I lose the 1/2 next week. It will have taken me 18 or 19 weeks to lose 12 lbs. That is really too long. But I guess I lost it. TEJAS I want to go with you tonight. I like Willie Nelson. Blow him a kiss for me. TECHALUM Hope you are feeling better. Great job getting your walk in. I have been thinking about trying to start walking again. I have also been thinking about getting the walking poles. Do you know anything about them. Say they are suppose to help ease the pressure on your joints. Hope you have a good day. Or if anyone knows about using the walking poles. Please let me know. BEACHBUM I am so sorry you ankle is still bothering you. Sure wish I was closer. I could come and help you out. But yes rest. So you will be able to enjoy your visit with you family. That is the important thing. Well got to go. But will be back later. coco coco99 04-08-2009, 07:55 PM Hi Everyone Not much happening here. Just thought I would get on and see how things was going. Did get most of the laundry done. Will have to do a couple loads tomorrow. Unless I decide to run around. I need to go and get some egg beaters and stuff to make salad. And some fresh veggies. So may wait until Friday or Saturday. See what kind of mood I am in in the morning. Well I will get off here. Go check some e-mail. Hope everyone had a great day. Thinking of each of you. coco ontarget 04-08-2009, 09:13 PM Maryann, my doctor moved my goal to 155. Now do I have a good doctor or what? I know you're excited about your family coming Tuesday. Enjoy every minute. Paula, I have seen the mint Skinny Cows, but I don't care for mint so I don't buy them. I love the strawberry ones, though. Yummy! Donna, hop on that wagon and let your doggie pull you along. Rhonda, soTom Selleck is a talker? When will he be finished with the job? Is he on schedule? I know you'll be glad to get your home back to normal. Athena, congratulations on the 10% loss. I am happy for you. You're doing great. Sounds like you have a good leader, too. Coco, how's WW coming? Are you having a good week? Vickie, where are you, friend? I hope all is well and you're getting the results you want. beach bum 04-09-2009, 09:01 AM Good Morning Ladies:) Nothing new,Its going to be a long weekend waiting for my orthopedic doctors appointment this Monday.I was going to sing with my choir for Holy Thursday but now that my ankle is still acting up I won't be able to attend. The standing and kneeing is going to be to much for me. Hope I will be able to make the Easter services instead. Weight is till up,but I'm averaging the week up instead of the day. so there might be a small change by then. TECH-YIKES sorry about the snow,my DD called and said that they got snow flurries. Told her don't bring it up here, as the temps are around 40 and the birdies are singing so nicely and I don't want them to go away. Hope you shoulder doesn't bother you after shoveling. April is a funny month in NY in 1970 we had a BAD storm on Easter Sunday. Left my dog out in the back yard, and when I got home the poor animal was shivering, had to dry his little body with lots of towels. ATHENSWelcome to the board.Sorry about your divorce, that has hit all around my family,so I know what your going though:hug:. But a big congrats on your weight loss success, ever hit my 10% at WW but I like COCO's idea about aiming for the first 5% its makes more sense . You're lucky you had a good leader,We live I a small town and WW only has 2 leaders.really no choice. COCO-Thanks you such as sweetheart. MY Leo is helping me as much as he can,and if I can't get the house to look perfect for my DD visit. She'll just have to understand.Be careful going down those basement steps.I didn't and I paying for it now. RHONDA-My DD used to do some pottery. Hope you pots come out nice once there are glazed. It that the guy who looks like Tom Selleck??? or some one different.????Have a great time at the Willie Nelson concert. SANDRA-Can't wait to see my little darlings. We haven't seen them since Christmas. Hope the weather holds up even if its still cool up here. My Plan is to try to make it to 150 and than if possible I like to go down further. Have a great morning coco99 04-09-2009, 02:33 PM Hi Everyone Well did go to Wal Mart today. So got me some fresh fruit and veggies. But forgot my egg beaters. Probably wont be back out until Saturday. So hope to remember them then. I want them for Sunday for the breakfast at church. Told hubby. That if I dont get the egg beaters. Guess we could just eat 1/2 of cup of eggs at church. Maybe that wouldnt be too bad. They make scrambled eggs for the breakfast. And then I got the fruit. Maybe I can even take us some oatmeal. And fix that instead. We have a micorwave. Well see. Boy I wanted a seedless cucumber. It was $2.18 at Wal Mart. I couldnt believe it. The regular ones were .98 cents. But they werent very nice. BEACHBUM I am so sorry your ankle is still bothering you. Sorry you will miss your service tonight. But hopefully you can make Easter. Your DD will understand if your place isnt perfect. But I am sure it is. If you are like my Mom. When someone is coming. She thinks everything needs a heavy duty cleaning. I tell her. Dont worry about it. Wait until they leave. Because you will have to clean after they are gone. How's Leo doing. I hope he is doing ok. Both of you are in my prayers daily. ONTARGET WW is going ok. I think so far I am having a fairly good week. Guess Monday will tell. Just trying to make plans for Sunday. HI to everyone else. I have to get off here. Got to get busy. So will be back later. Have a great week. coco ontarget 04-09-2009, 04:32 PM I went to school forour grand's egg hunt. What a hoot! Those kindergarteners were precious searching for those eggs. I can't tell you how many eggs we had to hide but were we ever lucky a high school PE class offered to help. Life is good. Coco, you'll do fine at the church bfast. You sound like you have thought it out well. Maryann, my feet are hurting, too. I hope you get yours taken care of when you go to the doctor. I just have to take things one day at a time. Some days are better than others, but this osteoarthritis is the pits. coco99 04-09-2009, 08:58 PM Hi Everyone Just getting back on here for a few. Well I have been wanting mac and cheese. Well I went and got a WW mac and cheese. Wasnt too bad. 6 points. but the craving is over. So I guess that is the main thing. I am satisfied. Well I guess I will have to do the laundry tomorrow. Since I ran around today. And clean my veggies and fruit. Got some strawberries and grapes. Laid out the turkey breast to thaw for Sunday. Other than that dont know what I will get into. Well I am going to get off here. Hope everyone had a great day. Thinking of each of you. Talk to you tomorrow. coco Vickie 04-10-2009, 09:57 AM Good Morning Chicks. Sorry I haven't been here. I just cannot post and be chirpy and supportive when I'm struggling so badly. Let's just say that my 1900 calorie tests was a miserable failure. I gained 1.2 last Monday. The nutrition department said I should be on 1700. This was lower than what I originally started at, which was 1700 plus a starch. They also said I needed to get my heart rate up better when I exercise. Let's just say that I was a crying, miserable girlie on Monday. One couldn't have felt more sorry for oneself. I feel like I've hit my dieting rock bottom. I've never dieted and worked so hard before and been unable to lose more weight faster. So with the help of my adorable and wonderful husband, I've picked my little fat self up and continued on in my quest to get fit and healthy. I've been on 1700 calories this week and I've taken myself off of all the JC desserts because they have so much sugar. I'm not much interested in her snacks because I'm more of a sweet eater. I was already off all of the breakfasts. The rest of the time, I'm eating primarily Core. If I wasn't so lazy, or if Jim wasn't still on Nutrisystem, I'd be cooking Core, since all I'm eating of JC now is the lunches and dinners. Jim has said that I should cook for myself that it won't bother him. I can't do that. I don't want to sabotage him and I think I can lose weight on the JC meals. He's down 35.2. Awesome. I also significantly upped my treadmill this week. I intend to walk 5 times this week. I'm doing 1.25 miles in 32 minutes with a level 2 elevation. If this doesn't get me a loss then I don't know what I'll do. So, I'll be in and out while I fight my battle. beach bum 04-10-2009, 10:09 AM Good Morning Ladies:) Nothing new,my ankle is feeling better, but now the pain moved up to my calf muscle. Leo is going out to see if there a muscle relaxer over the counter cream that I can rub on it. The hot cold compresses don't work at all. As far a exercising I haven't done that in over a week, and it shows on the scale. Not going to be a happy camper on Monday that's for sure. COCO-The house is clean its just needs straitening out,but the kids like to play in the basement with my treadmill and their mothers old rocking horse and the basement needs a good cleaning. Oh Gee I don't even remember when I last had Mac & cheese. Its amazing how we crave different things.I think that a good supper for today, being its Good Friday. SANDRA-Sorry about your foot hurting also. You think yours osteoarthritis. Hope I don't have that, just a mere sprain. We'll see what the doctor says on Monday. Vickie 04-10-2009, 11:33 AM Wow am I ever behind. Time flies when your feeling sorry for yourself! Paula, I'm SO delighted that you loved the lasagna. I did too. As far as the servings go.....portion control was always my big problem on Core. If I were eating it now I'd probably be eating your portion size. I make just the meat sauce part to eat over whole wheat pasta. It freezes fabulously. Actually, I've been thinking about making some and freezing it in individual cups and making fresh pasta to go underneath. Mary Ann, I'm so sorry to hear about your leg and ankle. I hope it's nothing serious. Did you and Leo like the Vive? How's the sugar level in it? Rhonda, it's great that you are enjoying the pottery class. I'm sure that it's great upper body exercise. I need some of that. We've had renovators in our house like that before. Jim blames me. He says I make eye contact with EVERYONE and am too nice. I'd rather have that on my tombstone than here likes the grumpy girl. Are they done? Do you love your floor? Sandra, you did great with your WPA's. I always hated when I used them almost up at the beginning of the week. And...your efforts paid off with a loss. If that isn't positive reinforcement, I don't know what is! Coco, I feel the same way you do with my weigh in being on Monday. My JC counselor told me not to eat ham since it's salty. Yeah, well thanks for the help....that's what my Sister is serving or nothing. So I'll have a small piece, fill up on salad and veggies and drink a LOT of water. How awesome that you lost 2 pounds last week. You are going to do this. I like your 5% goal idea. It's like my 15 pounds 10 ten times. I have to bite off smaller goals than others do. You gave me a craving for egg beaters. I'm having Jim get me some today. They aren't JC approved but since I'm not eating their breakfast anyway, I'll just have them one morning. Donna, we got that snow too. It was about 3 inches here. The White Sox had to delay the home opener by a day. On the morning of the opener they were running water on the snow in the outfield to melt it so it could drain for the game. Spring in Chicagoland! I hate to hear about your shoulder. My Jim suffers so badly with his. Two surgeries and no relief. I hope your Hubby is doing better. Congratulations on walking despite how you are feeling. So what do you all have planned for the weekend? We are laying low today and tomorrow but will be at my Sister's with the whole family on Sunday. I'm bringing homemade applesauce (SF) for me and Jim and a huge mixed field greens salad to share with everyone. My Sister is a healthy eater so except for the ham and the mashed potatoes....I should be ok. coco99 04-10-2009, 11:58 AM Just a quick "HI" to everyone Got my veggies and strawberries and grapes cleaned. Got a load of jeans in the washer. In which I figure they are done. So need to go and check on them. But just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of each of you. Be back later. coco Tejas 04-10-2009, 01:17 PM Good morning all: Vickie it's good that you're up off the floor and moving forward. You are going to make it. Period. It is definitely exciting that Jim is doing so well. How long has he been doing this? I'm asking because DH is curious. I've managed to gain back the piddling four pounds that I lost. But, I'll just do it again. I start my walking class next Saturday and I'm sure that will help. I've also gone back to counting every measely little point. Maryann, yes it was Tom Selleck's look alike...good work, weird personality. It's all done though and looks great. Willie Nelson was great, if I haven't said. Billy Bob Thornton gave a totally stupid interview on CBC radio which earned him boos at last night's performance, and Ray Price is 83 and still has what it takes. I'm just doing the endless things that we have to do to get ready to sell the house. Tonight we're going out to dinner at the CN Tower restaurant, way up in the sky. (I won't lose those four pounds this way!). I hope you're all having a great day. (Sandra, wish were there for the egg hunt!) Rhonda Vickie 04-10-2009, 01:28 PM Hey Rhonda! Thanks for the hand up. We both started January 13th. I've lost 14 something and Jim has lost 35.2. He's exercising 7 days a week on the treadmill for 49 minutes and walking 3 miles, I think he said. He's walking FAST! Enjoy your dinner. Tejas 04-10-2009, 05:22 PM Vickie, my DH said "He's a fanatic!" Guess who doesn't want to exercise?? I, however, just finished 30 minutes of the Biggest Loser Cardio Max....on my way, once again. I am going to FEEL this one tomorrow! Rhonda ontarget 04-10-2009, 05:42 PM Vickie, it's good to see you here. I am averaging 1 lb per week, so I'm not losing fast either. We'll get there sooner or later. Prob later, but we'll get there. Maryann, my problem is arthritis and spurs. My podiatrist said I have "millions of spurs". I'm sorry you're having problems with your ankle. I hope you get better soon and don't have any repercussions. Rhonda, I saw Ray Price at Panther Hall about 30 years ago. My how time flies! Congratulations on the exercise. We're going to Beaumont Ranch tonight for their fish fry. Wish me luck. Vickie 04-10-2009, 06:32 PM Thanks, Sandra. I know I should be patient, but I have not cheated once and I've exercised. Not one morsel, except for Thursday night dinner that wasn't JC. And all of that meal was weighed and measured and entered into FitDay. That deserves more than .88 per week. Harumpf. How do you even walk with all those spurs? I have a couple and they hurt. Good luck at the fish fry. coco99 04-10-2009, 09:15 PM Hi Well not much has happened since I was on here last. Did get the laundry done. Well I will have to wash hubby's jeans tomorrow. Other than that. Its all done. Hopefully for a couple of days anyway. The jeans I was washing earlier were sons work jeans. Had a nice big salad for supper. But for lunch we had a Healthy choice meatloaf dinner. 6 points. Had fiber one pancakes for breakfast. For dessert tonight. We had strawberries and grapes mixed together with just a little splenda on them. Was pretty tasty. TEJAS Sorry about the gain. You will have it off before you know it. On your walking class. Do you use the walking poles or sticks. Been wondering about those. Said they are suppose to help with balance and ease things on the joints. Glad you enjoyed Willie. ONTARGET Glad you had a good time at the egg hunt. I bet the kids had a blast. BEACHBUM Sure hope you get some relief with you leg pain. VICKIE not much going on here. Have a couple of errends to run in the morning. The will probably go to Wal Mart and get my egg beaters. And then I need to clean my turkey breast. Things like that. That is great you have lost 14 lbs. That is awesome. That is something to be proud of. I am very proud of you. I have been trying to lose 12 lbs. And so far I havent met it. I have 1/2 a pound to go. And it has taken me 18 weeks to 11 1/2 lbs. Now that is sad. Well I better get off here. Son will be coming home here in a little bit. Have to warm his supper up. Hope everyone had a good day. Thinking of each of you. coco coco99 04-11-2009, 08:45 AM Just getting on here to say "GOOD MORNING" It is rainy and dreary right now. Not sure if it is suppose to clear up or not. Maybe I will turn on the news when I get off here. Sure looks like the grass has grown overnight. Will have to mow next week for sure. Got a couple of errands to run. this morning. Then going to Wal Mart. Got my list ready. And I did write egg beaters on it. Well I better get off here. Go eat breakfast. Shredded wheat. and take my shower. Get ready and get the errands done. So can get to Wal Mart and back home. Hope everyone has a great day. Be back later. coco Vickie 04-11-2009, 10:23 AM Good Morning Chicks. Coco, good thing you're going to Walmart early. I'm guessing it will be very crowded today. We are going to avoid the stores. I've just got to eat and exercise today. Oh yeah.....and drink my water. Tejas 04-11-2009, 10:35 AM Hi All: The dinner was scrumptious. And, the sunset!!! I had looked up the time for sunset and we gauged our reservation time by that. It was perfect. We saw the sunset over Toronto exactly as it was happening. As beautiful as it all was, I'm ready for fewer city lights and more open space. It's good that I'm ready because that's what's gonna happen. I DO feel the results of yesterday's exercise. I'll do some more today. I have decided that I am not making a big Easter meal. I simply haven't got the energy. We'll have ham steak and sweet potatoes and count our blessings. I might make DH a pie as long as it's not buttermilk pie. I cannot resist that pie, I could eat the entire thing, really :yikes: I'll make a lemon meringue since the lemon makes my mouth pucker too much  By the way, Billy Bob Thornton gave a totally disrespectful and insulting interview on Canadian radio, and has been thrown off Willie's tour. If you're interested in hearing the interview, go to CBC.com and search for Billy Bob. It was so bizarre. I've got to get the day started...BBL. Rhonda beach bum 04-11-2009, 11:22 AM Good Morning Ladies:) In 1/2 our I have an appointment to have my hair cut and blow styled. Had a hard time getting to put my shoe on over the support that I have on for my ankle. Now my the pain is going up my calf and thigh muscle.Hope I will be able to go to Easter services tomorrow. If not so be it.Hope the doctor will get me some thing as Alieve don't work. VICKIE-Sorry about your gain.Maybe you can zig zag your calorie range like 1600=1800.I bet the JC counselor is going to do something like that for you.I'm up also as my ankle is hurting and I haven't exercise in a while. But hopefully my eating pattern will help me on W-I.I know it can be frustration doing everything and nothing to show for it. Wish I could give you an answer, but we're all in the some boat rocking back & forth. Thanks I find out on Monday when I have the doctors appointment. The VIVE is good but DH doesn't like it but we both have to take fiber and the reason we're eating it. The sugars are 10 grams 1/2 c. Hope that helps. RHONDA-Glad that your got good results, even though you had to put up with this personality. SANDRA-YIKES bones spurs I think that's what my father had. Is there anything that they can do for it ???? COCO-The pain is still there but if I rest it the pain is slight. This morning I had the pain shoot my leg,so maybe its not a sprain ankle after all but a tendon of ligament.Good think I have a doctor appointment this Monday to find out once and for sure. Have to be will be back later blessedwithsarah 04-11-2009, 04:53 PM Hi everyone. Hope you are all enjoying the weekend. I've been busy getting ready for Easter dinner. I'm having 10 in total for dinner. the dinning room is set up (had to get an extra table), my carrots and asparagus are washed adn ready to be cooked tomorrow, lamb is marinating, ham is ready to go in the oven. MIL is brining dessert, sil rolls, her daughters fiance is making mac and cheese. I think we'll have more than enough food. The scale is moving downward and I'm happy about that! Most of the food will be core tomorrow, wine is a fruit, right?? It should be a nice day. DD is sigining in the children's chior tomorrow, they are opening the second service .We'll attend the first, then stay until she's done singing. Should be home by 11, that will give me 2 hours to get everything else done. Rhonda, a station in Boston actually played parts of Billy Bob's interview. What a pompus A@$. I think the person interviewing him handled it well. I'm glad they kicked him out. The station played a couple of his songs, they are not that good, imo. Vickie, I'm sorry you've been struggling. I'm glad the counselors are trying to help. Cutting back on the carbs and sugar is a good idea. I hope this week you have better results. Maryann, Right now its snowing!!! Big fat flakes! Did the dr say what was causing the pain in your ankle? I hope you feel better. Well, need to figure out what we are doing for dinner. Take care! TechAlum 04-11-2009, 04:56 PM Hello everyone, Sorry I've been scarce this week it's just been one of THOSE kind of weeks. I met a personal goal this morning, I broke out my bike, filled the tires and rode to WW. It was cool and breezy and I was running late, but I did it anyway :D. Baby steps....Baby steps. I also lost a little this morning, not sure how and the home scale showed even but whatever..... I'm headed out to plant my peas, onions and garlic, they should have gone in a couple of weeks ago but I didn't make it. I turned over the garden boxes on Thurs so today I'm just sticking them into the dirt. Rhonda - yea on the reno being done. You must be happy. Your dinner sounds like fun, I like it at the top of the CN Tower although I've never eaten there. Maryanne - Take care of your leg. Hope the dr. can help. Vicki - If your posts are like your personality no chance of grouchy lady on your tombstone. Sandra - When I helped with the Highschool youth group at church we organized and led an easter egg hunt for the younger kids one year. The teens came and decorated the eggs and put together bags for the participants one night, then hid the eggs on the day of the hunt and ran the hunt. They had such fun.....I'm sure the teens who helped you did to. And it sounds like you had fun too. Coco - Sounds like you had a busy week too. Paula - Have a great weekend everyone. :easter::bunny2: - Tech ontarget 04-11-2009, 10:11 PM Vickie, my patience gave out. I have had a food-filled weekend. So far, I'm not upset. I've enjoyed every bite. The fish fry just started it. Today we went to Pappadeaux's Seafood Restaurant after we finished competing. We even shared a dessert. Guess this was a side trip on my weightloss journey. I will get back on the road tomorrow. Vickie, I talk big but I don't blame you for being upset. I would be, too. I was just trying to give you encouragement. Guess I'm needing some now. Congratulations to you for being the truly patient one. You've been staying the course. Most of the time my bone spurs don't bother me but lately they've been "acting up." They are all over my feet. The heel spurs aren't really a problem. I've had 5 cortisone injections in my feet and have had a few spurs removed surgically. This condition runs in my family. It's just something to deal with--and to keep going. I wear orthodics (sp?) most of the time as well as SAS shoes. I sleep in socks. Now how sexy is that? My feet hurt worse when I'm lying down. Guess it has something to do with gravity. Socks give them support and help ease the pain. Sorry about the complaining. Rhonda, does Doyle have feet problems? Our grandmother had really bad problems. Maryann, the best thing I can do for my feet is to lose weight. You'd think that would be good enough incentive to get the job done. Rhonda, dinner watching the sunset sounds sooooooo romantic. Makes me smile. Donna, you're right. Those teens had a blast. They were so cute sitting back watching the little ones hunting eggs. beach bum 04-12-2009, 11:30 AM Hi Ladies:) Just here to wish you all a:easter2:and hope that you dinner come out Delicious. Nothing new Watched the Vigil Mass on catholic TV form 8=10PM not going out this morning. The pain moved up to my lower back, thigh, calf & ankle. Its going upward. I think it might be the sciatic nerve.Hope the doctor will fine out what it is and cure it before my DD & DGC come up this week. :flow1:PAULA:flow1:-We're so lucky here on the CAPE we had rain:rain: instead.I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to see what wrong with my ankle or leg. :flow1:TECH:flow1:-That a great goal and a wonderful idea to get back on that bike and ride to WW. My leg is still i pain, when siting to long I have to ge back on the couch and rest it. :flow1:SANDRA:flow1:-I don't know as I turned my ankle in a funny way when going down the basement stairs with a huge laundry basket in front of me. Have a great day,see you gals tomorrow in the AM. Tejas 04-12-2009, 12:15 PM :bunny2: :easter2: :bunny2: Enjoy every morsel!! Rhonda coco99 04-12-2009, 12:46 PM Hi Everyone Sorry I didnt get back on here yesterday. But I want to wish everyone a :easter3: Got my turkey breat in the oven. Then going to put a sweet potato in for hubby and me. And a regular one for son. I was bad a church. I ended up eating one of the biscuits wrapped around a sausage link. But other wise I did good. Took egg beaters with onions, green peppers and mushrooms in for hubby and me. I fixed them last night. Then all I had to do. Was warm them up in the microwave at church. Now I will have to be extra careful the rest of the day. But I did do alot better than in the past for the church breakfast. Usually would eat a big helping of scrambled eggs. And 6 of the sausage biscuits. Even though I am not crazy about them. And them some ham. I didnt even touch that today. Well I better go catch up with everyone. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter. :egg: I will be back later. Thinking of everyone. coco ontarget 04-12-2009, 03:52 PM :easter2: Everyone! Like Rhonda said, "Enjoy every morsel." And might I add--Don't feel guilty." coco99 04-12-2009, 08:05 PM Hi there Well I am trying to stay awake. Been up since 4:00 am. I was doing pretty good till just a little bit ago. Then I sat down. And now I am sleepy. But dont want to go to sleep now. Wont want to sleep tonight. Had a nice day here. The sun was out. But the air was cool. BEACHBUM I sure hope they figure out what is going on with you leg. And if it is the nerve thing. I have had that. And that is painful. The only way I could be comfortable was to stand. Or lay flat. Or keep stretching my leg. Hurt. But felt good. ONTARGET Hope your feet are feeling better. TECHALUM CONGRATS on getting the bike out. I havent been on a bike on about 20 years. Well a stationary bike. But not one you ride outside. I would need training wheels on one now. Hope you have a great week. TEJAS The sunset sounds like it was beautiful. It is nice to watch those sometimes. Congrats on the exercise. I went and bought me some walking poles or trekking poles. whatever you want to call them. Want to start walking. Now I have to get me a pair of walking/tennis shoes. I have one pair. But I use those to wear to town. And I dont want to ruin them for that. So might try and go to Wal Mart tomorrow and see what they have. BLESSEDWITHSARAH Glad the scales are going down. I am afraid they will go up for me tomorrow. I am hoping for a maintain. Hope you had a great time with your family. VICKIE how are you doing. Hope everything is ok. Well didnt get to go to Wal Mart as early as we had wanted too. Son had to help the fire dept do something. And it was suppose to be only a hour. Ended up being 3. So he wasnt a happy camper. But did make it. And it was kinda busy. Got the egg beaters. Then fixed them last night. I added some green peppers, onions and mushrooms. Then put them in a bowl. And just heated them up at church this morning. Hope you had a great Easter. Well I am going to get off here for now. Hope everyone had a great day. coco ontarget 04-12-2009, 09:12 PM Thank you, Coco. They hurt all the time, but I try to ignore them. Maybe the pain will go away if I deny it's there. Get some rest. Tejas 04-12-2009, 10:08 PM Coco, I was up at 4:30 myself, with no good reason! I did take a nap though. So, we had deviled eggs, ham slices, sweet potatoes, spinach and coconut pie. I had small amounts of everything. Not too bad. I hope you all had a good day. Rhonda beach bum 04-13-2009, 09:59 AM Good Morning Ladies:) Hope you all had a great holiday. Our was quite but nice. Its finally "D" Day I go to the doctors to have my ankle/leg checked on. My sister gave me a scare Eeker last night when she called and hoped I didn't have Achilles heels as she told me" if I don't get it right away they have to operate and I might limp for the rest of life." She's all good news!!! Than on the better note she told me that my DD Her DH and my DS and the family had a wonderful time at her house. The kids like plain rigtoni noodles as the put them on there fingers and eat them from there. At least that made me laugh. W-I and I gained as expected.Even if it was.3 it now brought the scale up 1-lb.Hope its water retention from my painful leg muscle.
