May I jump in?
You ladies are all so inspirational to me! I read here all the time, but never post. I don't post much on 3FC, but always lurk. Since January I have sporadically been posting on the Alternachicks forum, but I think it's time to expand my horizons and jump in here as well, if that's okay with all of you.
I have been struggling! January and February were great, but I lost it in March and need to get back on track NOW. I can think of no better place for a butt-kicking than right here at the 100lb. Club! I am desperate for help, yet I know it needs to come from within myself. I just need friends who know what I am going through!
I look forward to chatting with all of you soon! I posted in the Bios if you want to know more about me! Thanks so much for being here!

Good gracious, SunRose --- you have already lost 45 pounds? You have been really busy at this weight loss stuff! You will obviously fit in perfectly with this group of self-strutting, pound-kicking, high-fiving people with a plan! So, pour yourself a great big glass of water, pull up a chair and join in the fun!

You are so sweet! I guess one of my problems is seeing what I've accomplished! When you said 45 pounds I was like, "What is she talking about?" LOL! I just don't see it because I didn't do it all at once. It was more like lose 15 pounds, gain 5, lose 10, maintain for a year, lose 10, stay the same for months - you get the idea. So this has been going on since 2005 and I am SICK OF IT and want to get it done! I mean, I know my diet will be the same once I hit goal because this is not a "diet" that you go on and off of, but I just really want to feel that sense of accomplishment!
Anyway, thanks for making me realize that I have accomplished something! Believing in myself is my biggest challenge by far.

Sunrose,
my first 30lbs were like that. Lost gradually, off and on diets, over 3 years. Sometimes I feel like those don't "count". Then I found a picture from Christmas 2006 with a picture from Christmas 2008 and was amazed. Wow, those 30lbs made a big difference. They definitely do count! So I put them in my total. Now I'm serious about making a lifestyle change, not just dieting, so the pounds are coming off faster and more regularly.
Every pound counts, regardless of how fast or slow they are lost.
Hey, our stats are just about the same, too. Best of luck to you in getting to your goal!

enchantedonyx,
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who has been a little slower at this! I know what you mean - these 40 pounds or so have made a huge difference in my appearance. I might as well go ahead and acknowledge them!
Wow, our stats are pretty similar! We are both on our way to being similarly at goal as well! Best of luck to you also and thanks for the kind words of support.

Hi Sunrose (great name)
You've done fantastically well already with your 45! Just think of March as a launchpad to leap off from for the next 45. (Checks you have another 45 to lose.... dumdedum ..... hey in another 45 you'd be nearly done!
