Medifast - April Chat-MF, WS, NLSView Full Version : April Chat-MF, WS, NLS Operator265 04-03-2009, 10:59 AM Time for a new thread. Hope everyone is doing well. So, what's up? freakiel 04-03-2009, 11:25 AM i weigh in tomorrow. i'm on my last week of the first month on MF. my new order comes in today. i can't wait because i got some new stuff to mess with. homeschoolmom23 04-03-2009, 11:35 AM I am new here. But not to WS.I lost on WS back on '06 had to stop before reaching goal.I think it was about 80lbs in 8 mths.Anywho finances and marriage (don't ask) are better now.So the hubs said go for it.So I willstart either this Monday or the Monday after Easter.I am not sure yet. When I did WS before I went through a doctor. This time I am going through diet direct but still following it like I was with the doctor.Which is harder then the original WS plan. So to save myself I figured I better just plan to wait until Easter is done. Good Luck this month Everyone!! zay 04-04-2009, 11:06 AM Hi there gals!! Things are ok for me. I'm happy to say I'm down 22 lbs since the beginning of Feb but I've been off and on alot. I recently am trying to stick with the plan for more than acouple of days without going off plan. It is difficult mentally and physically with headaches and stuff. Nice to see this April Chat here. Its so quiet on this forum. Hope to see people post more often. Have a wonderful weekend. TracyRN 04-04-2009, 12:59 PM :flow1: Hi Everyone. I am new to the MF/WS lifestyle. I placed my order yesterday for a 4 week pack and it should be here on Tuesday. I am excited! :carrot: I am a little bummed because I think I messed up my substitutions, but I hear the return policy is good. zay 04-05-2009, 11:01 AM Best wishes Tracy as you start out! Keep postin! TracyRN 04-05-2009, 11:38 AM Thank you, Zay. I will! Beach Patrol 04-06-2009, 11:01 AM I just started WonderSlim this morning... so far, so good... yay! - I hope it works as well as MediFast did for me. Here's to a less-fatso me! :D freakiel 04-06-2009, 02:23 PM 17lbs. down in 4 weeks! Just 19lbs. left to go! TracyRN 04-06-2009, 09:22 PM Beach patrol, Cheers to you! Freakiel that is awesome! My stuff should be coming tomorrow...gotta get rid of some food garbage at the house! Beach Patrol 04-07-2009, 11:52 AM My first WonderSlim day was successful - I very much enjoyed the food - much better than the MediFast food (thus far). Yay! TracyRN 04-07-2009, 06:32 PM That is good to hear, Beach Patrol. I got my package today, read all the stuff and ready to go for tomorrow. Did you have any headaches or weakness on your first day? Beach Patrol 04-08-2009, 12:24 PM That is good to hear, Beach Patrol. I got my package today, read all the stuff and ready to go for tomorrow. Did you have any headaches or weakness on your first day? I did - with MediFast, and again with WonderSlim. The first 3 days seem to be very headachy & light-headedness. After that, it gets better & I had (have) no problems. TracyRN 04-08-2009, 12:42 PM I started today. I have a question though. My wonderslim paperwork says to eat 6 wonderslim items a day, 4 shakes, 1 bar, and 1 protein like the soup or chicken along with the lean and green, even on the 1000 cal plan. Everything that I have read here and other sites people are doing the 5 supplements and one L&G on wonderslim. What are you all doing? Operator265 04-10-2009, 07:54 AM Hey there Beachy. Good to see you back. Tracy- I think the confusion comes in b/c MF does the 5&1 and since many of us started with MF, that is just what we got used to. I had some confusion when I switched over. Just follow the directions on your program. :goodluck: TracyRN 04-10-2009, 10:22 AM Thanks, Operator! I have been doing the 5 and feeling okay ...but still give myself the option to have the 6th if I feel like I need it. 1 Shake so far today (Mocha...yum!) and an orange! My stomach is less pregnanty-looking!;) amberh 04-10-2009, 05:55 PM Hi everyone! I just got my NLS package today! Starting the diet tomorrow! I am super excited!! Is there anyone frequenting this post that is on the NLS??? I can't wait to find the thin me in this body!!!! TracyRN 04-10-2009, 06:00 PM I just melted a mint chocolate bar in the microwave until it was a little bit melty and ate it with a fork....it was soooooooo good. Just the little boost I needed! TracyRN 04-10-2009, 06:01 PM Welcome, Amber!!! freakiel 04-11-2009, 10:24 AM lost 2lbs last week. at 19lbs. total weight loss and 17 more to go. it feels great that the amount of weight lost is higher than the rest left to go. Operator265 04-11-2009, 11:41 AM Way to Go, Kiddo!!! Keep it up and you'll be there in no time. amberh 04-11-2009, 12:32 PM Way to go freakiel!!! That is fabulous!!! I started my NLD products today! So far so good! The shakes taste much better than I thought they would!! I was expecting bland or chalky, and got neither!! YAY! freakiel 04-11-2009, 02:10 PM I just melted a mint chocolate bar in the microwave until it was a little bit melty and ate it with a fork....it was soooooooo good. Just the little boost I needed! oh. my. god. that sounds fantastic. i will have to try that with my peanut butter chocolate bar later today. and thanks ladies! i always feel so petty posting on these forums because i feel as though maybe people think i don't have much to fret over since i don't have that much to lose and because i am younger, but i am doing this as a preventive thing. i used to be so thin and then slowly but surely it crept up on me. my family is full of large people and i knew that if i didn't do something about it now, i would never. also, i am an actress and physical appearance is a HUGE thing. especially because actors are expected to be in tip top physical shape so they can maintain anything on stage they need to. so i appreciate the support. Operator265 04-11-2009, 02:52 PM Well, you got your thinking going. You're at the weight I was at when I started to notice. If I would have gotten a handle on it then, I wouldn't have as far to go. I'm proud of ya. freakiel 04-11-2009, 03:01 PM thanks operator! btw i am trying the idea you posted in my cauliflower pizza topic about frying the crust first tonight. i hope it works out. i'd only really have to fry the bottom side, right? TracyRN 04-11-2009, 06:15 PM Freakiel, I am 27 and I wish I would have gotten my act togother when I was 19!!! :D TracyRN 04-11-2009, 06:31 PM :bomb:Oh and just an FYI. I realized today, to NEVER, EVER, mix diet sprite and a strawberry shake in the magic bullet blender. It was like a strawberry bomb went off in my kitchen, which was clean, before the explosion.:fr: After that happening, I ate a meal that was neither lean or green. I did it, I'm over it, it's done. Moving on. :dizzy: abovethedin 04-15-2009, 12:20 AM Hi group, Just checking in...I haven't been around in a while but I am back and ready to get on track. Hope all is well in April. Jen TracyRN 04-15-2009, 11:05 AM I am down 4.4lbs for my first week. I have two planned dinners out this week, so that may pose a problem for this week, but other than that, I am on plan! amberh 04-15-2009, 11:39 AM Hey everyone!!! TracyRN - Congrats on the loss!!! I am sure you will be fine with those dinners out. Good luck! Hi Jen! I am new to the group, so I don't know you yet, but I am on NLD, and loving it!!! Welcome back!! As for me, stepped on the scale today, I am officially down 6.8 lbs since Saturday, however my ticker says 7, they must round up.... Either way you slice it, I am feeling great!!! I am an accountant, and today is my last day of super stress! YAY! I am so ready to REALLY focus on me!!!! zay 04-16-2009, 09:40 PM Hi everyone ! Congrats Tracy and welcome to Amber and Freak! I'm still plugging along and doing pretty well. I'm thankful to have been on plan for almost 7 days! When RE starting, it sure is hard to get going again. freakiel 04-17-2009, 10:12 AM Thanks zay! Hope everything works out beautifully for you after your first day. Today is my last day of week 6. I can finally put a weight tracker in my sig, yay! But yeah, I've had a pretty stressful week dealing with some stuff at home and it took a LOT for me to not go crazy at the dining hall on campus with pizza and ice cream. Thank god for my boyfriend. freakiel 04-18-2009, 11:03 AM down another 3 pounds since last week! at 144 out of 130. unfortunately, this is my last month formally on the diet for financial reasons. i am just hoping that within the last 2 weeks i have left on it, i can get under 140 so that i can try to plug out the last >10lbs. by myself. zay 04-18-2009, 11:22 AM great job freakiel! You've done fantastic. Perhaps when you run out of diet products, you can purchase some protein slimfast or protein bars to help you finish up. The south beach cereal bars are used often. I'm on plan but not weighing at this time. Hope everyone is well! freakiel 04-18-2009, 11:44 AM great job freakiel! You've done fantastic. Perhaps when you run out of diet products, you can purchase some protein slimfast or protein bars to help you finish up. The south beach cereal bars are used often. yeah i am actually planning on buying a few boxes of medifast products, like some bars, to incorporate in to my eating once i am off. especially if i only have 6-8lbs. to lose left, i can't imagine it being that hard. TracyRN 04-19-2009, 10:02 AM Everyone seems to be doing well! :carrot: I had my dinners out and now it's time to get on track. I have 20 days until I graduate from college so I am going to kick it for the next few weeks, so I can actually look at pictures after graduation!;) TracyRN 04-19-2009, 10:22 AM Freakiel, are you doing exclusively medifast? I just looked at the medifast website and a box of bars is over 16 bucks! There is no way I could afford a month of medifast food. I have found that some websites have shakes and bars for 7.99-9.99, the cheapest I have found is googled "family bariatric", they are not medifast, but may be an alternative if you are looking to save some cash. I can't wait until May comes and I can place a new order for some new food. I want to try the wonderslim oatmeal, chik'n entrees, and grab some of the cran grape juice protein drinks. I love how wonderslim gives you free samples in your order! freakiel 04-19-2009, 11:25 AM atm i am doing exclusively medifast. looking in to bari wise bars, i saw that a box of their bars (which i hear are fantastic) are $10. i will probably order those. i am going to the grocery store today, and will be taking one of my bars with me and comparing it to the nutritional facts on slimfast bars, etc. there to see price and nutrition in them for the future. It was like a strawberry bomb went off in my kitchen, which was clean, before the explosion.:fr: This made me LAUGH soooo hard. Thank you I really needed it today!! I can see me in that situation with avid clarity!!! I have been reading the posts for about a week or so. I can't wait to get started on MF. I will be starting in May. I am a 33 (just turned :( ) mom with 3 kids...I feel like a whale and really want to get my weight under control. I am working on my Master's degree while taking care of my 4 month old, defiant 3 year old, and 8 year old. My hubby found out that they might be deploying him again in July...we won't find out for sure until later this week. If I can control at least one thing in my life, like diet, I will be a happy camper. nursejoan 05-01-2009, 03:06 AM Hey, everyone! I haven't posted for a couple months. I got bored with MF and joined WW. I didn't lose anything, but was maintaining for a while. Then Easter came with its sugary Peeps and chocolate eggs, and on came 7 pounds! Quit WW, and am starting back on MF on Monday. I'm graduating from Nursing school in September, and I want to get more weight off so I don't look like a giant marshmallow in my cap and gown. (Who thought white gowns were a good idea? LOL) sunnywarmth 05-01-2009, 05:19 AM Hi Jen and Nurse Joan, from another Nurse Joan, now retired! I am new to this board, and have been on Medifast/Wonderslim for 5 weeks now. Lost 24# so far. I am another one who does the 5 and 1 program but I am on a combo of Medifast/Wonderslim. I don't add a 6th supplement, although it probably is a healthier way to go. But, if one takes a Multi Vit, they should be fine. I also take Vitamin C. Hoping to be able to reach goal this time around, as I did MF 3 yrs ago. Best of success to everyone here. Nice to meet you all! :) freakiel 05-02-2009, 12:43 PM Weighed in this morning at 141, 2lbs. lost last week, 25lbs. total in 2 months. Unfortunately today is my first day off of Medifast. I'm hoping this works out. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
