Where has the month of March gone??!! It seems like it just started and here it is the end of the month!
This morning I woke up to snow--enough to have to clean my car. The good news is that it's not sticking to the roads and tomorrow it's supposed to be in the mid 50's.
I had a busy weekend--I ended up going to watch the rugby match on Saturday. I had planned on doing things at home but DH was going to end up traveling by himself so it was a last-minute decision. I'm glad I went because we had a nice time.
I have a busy week ahead of me--tomorrow I go for the thyroid uptake and I'll have to go 3 times over a 2-day period and hopefully I'll get some answers when I see the doctor next Wednesday. I have a bunch of meetings during the day and a couple of things in the evening so the week is going to fly by.
So how did everyone's weekend go?

Melissa, Thanks for starting the thread. I was so busy yesterday. My weekend was fun. We had a lot of rain which we needed. Played golf with DH, went to a spring training baseball game (Washington Nationals), and went to a ladies' tea at my church. I ate way too many sweets at the ladies' tea, but it was good.
I'm glad you're getting your thyroid checked. Where did you and DH go for the rugby match? You had snow again? Unbelievable!
How was your conference?
I'm going to be traveling a bunch. I leave Wednesday for St. Louis (short trip) and then on Sunday I head to Long Beach, CA for a conference all week.

Lisa, We went to Cooper Lake which is a little over an hour from our house--it's a huge campground area. There were a lot of teams playing--girls, men's and college so it was fun. Afterwards we stopped by North Country Brewing and had a late lunch and a few beers.
It was cold here this morning and I had a nice layer of frost on my car that I had to scrape off. It's warmed up a little and the sun is shining so it's nice for the most part. Tomorrow we're supposed to have rain.
It's been crazy here as well--I had 2 appts at the hospital for the thyroid test, a meeting, a lunch and then tonight I'm working at WW...phew! Tomorrow I have the last part of the scan and then I'll head to my WW meeting. It's a crazy week to say the least!
Hope you get to relax a little on your trip, Lisa.

Wow, you two are busy! DH and I had some friends visit Friday night. They stayed over and left Saturday early afternoon. Jay woke up early Saturday (our friends were still sleeping) and primered the nursery (floors and ceiling) and was able to paint the walls (but not the ceiling) while I went out and bought a mitre saw so that he could do the flooring the next day. Our friend Yan, who was visiting for Saturday night, showed up Saturday afternoon. He went with us to pick out flooring for the nursery (which I was very happy for because his input was GREAT and I'm so glad we got what we did instead of what we would have gotten otherwise), watched the Bruins game on TV with us Saturday night, and stayed the night. On Sunday I came into work for about 6-7 hours and Yan and Jay put the flooring in the nursery. It looks great! I will attach a photo for you.
So what is left for the nursery? One row of flooring (requires a table saw, which we do not have but Jay is going to buy tonight), Baseboard trim, window trim, door trim, and a plywood door that needs to get made to cover up the access point to the eave. Not too bad considering where we started!
We toured the hospital last night, and I feel a little better about labor and delivery now that I know the environment I will be in. My fears have eased a little bit, but just a little. I'm looking forward to the end result of labor and delivery (baby!) just not labor and delivery itself haha :)

Melissa - sounds like you had a good time at the rugby match! We haven't had snow here in quite a while. Its actually been pretty nice - in the high 40's, low 50's.
Lisa - Have fun on your travels! You seem to have had a lot of get togethers lately that have really yummy and hard to resist food at them. I hope the conference isn't that way as well!

I forgot to mention that the conference I went to last Friday was great. We had 2 speakers (Dr. Terri Kennedy and Jan Hargrave) that were good. Jan's talk was on body language and it was so engaging! She had a break out session that they had to move to a larger room. It sure makes me watch people more as they're talking, lol.
Lori: The floor and walls look great! The room is really coming together. You're totally normal worrying about the hospital, labor, etc. The best advice I can give you is to try and relax. I'm sure a lot of people are telling you what to expect. There is no way to really "explain" or prepare yourself for labor. The books/films don't tell you how you're going to feel (everyone is different), how your labor is going to progress, etc. When is your due date? I know when I got to the end everyone kept asking me when I was due and it got old really quick, lol. You're on the last leg of the race :)
Lisa: Hope your travels are going well! I hear Long Beach is beautiful.

Thanks Melissa! I'm due May 1st. I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow - hard to believe. I got my remission test results from last Thursday and they were negative! I'm ecstatic :D
I love how I never really think too much about food anymore at this point. I eat healthy, but I don't really have to think about it to do it. And I'm still gaining right on track.

Lori, that's great news on the remission test :carrot: Just keep focusing on eating healthy and the rest will fall into place. You're really in the final stretch and that's exciting. I remember feeling both excited and overwhelmed at the same time (I still feel that way even though the boys are older).
It's raining here this morning but it's still on the warm side (57) but that's going to change as the day progresses. It's supposed to get cold and we may even see some rain mixed with snow tomorrow. I have a meeting that I have to sit in for 3 hours tomorrow so having bad weather won't be bad. I have so much I need to get done at home and really need to get some motivation to get it done.

Well, my post disappeared. My trip to St. Louis was full of flight delays and bumpy rides. Got in at 12:30 a.m. today. I'm quite tired. I leave Sunday for Long Beach to attend a conference. It's usually very good. I know that I will eat too much, but i will religiously use the exercise facilities. When I return, I will need to buckle down.
Melissa, I'm glad you enjoyed your conference. Also glad that your weather has improved.
Lori, The baby's room looks so cute. I really like it. You must be so excited. Congrats on your remission results!
