A workman is coming today to start work on a few items, including a new kitchen floor. I did OK with food over the weekend, but didn't get in anymore walking yesterday. I thought that chasing a 4 year old around an apartment should count for something...we had a good time. Most importantly he went right to bed with a minimum amount of fussing. Have a great day, and "do the right thing!" BBL today, Rhonda Tejas 03-30-2009, 09:26 AM oh my, it really is a good thing I have to go to work...the workman has arrived and he is a Tom Sellek look- alike :dizzy:  beach bum 03-30-2009, 09:55 AM Good Morning Ladies:) I'm so :) happy:) Got on the scale for my Monday W-I and I lost 1.3-lbs. this week. I think the small plates for portion size is helping. Going out to celebrate our 12th year of retirement on the Cape. Going to take it easy and find something that will fit into my calorie count today.I have 28pts today, and I spend 15 for breakfast, supper & snack so I'm calculating I have 13 pts left for dinner. RHONDA-Thanks for the start up,and Wow I would be talking & drooling at him while he was working,if he looked like Tom Selleck. We're planning to let some kind of flooring in our kitchen dining area, but we haven't decided what kind. COCO-I love quite family oriented days also I can't wait until Easter week as my DD and her family are coming up for a visit. We watched the Arnold Palmer Invitational on NBC and watched Tiger win the trophy. It was his 6th,and we were every happy to see him win having that knee problem and all. Have a great morning blessedwithsarah 03-30-2009, 10:06 AM Hi everyone. I've been MIA for a few days. I've been fighting something - bad headaches and coughing. DD and I skipped her chior practice yesterday, when I got home from church, my head ached, it was pouring and cold so I told her it was cancelled. Yes, I'm a bad mom. There are 2 more rehersals before Easter services, she already knows the words and the hand motions. I do feel better today. Foodwise I'm doing OK. Vickie - I made your lasgna recipe. YUMMY! The pan is huge. I figured the points, with 12 servings for the 9x13 pan, its 5 points per serving. Not bad at all for lunches. If I cut it into 15 servings it would be 4 points. Your recipe had it with 9 servings which would be way too much for me. Thanks for the recipe, its a keeper. Not much else going on here. Hope everyone is doing OK. I'm off to read and catch up. coco99 03-30-2009, 10:13 AM Morning Everyone Just getting on for a few. Need to get around and get ready to go to town. Have some errands to run. And get some salad making stuff. Lettuce, carrots ect. And go to WW. TEJAS I will be right there. I will gladly supervise your work project. I LOVE Tom Selleck. We have a TV channel here. And Monday Thru Friday. At 9:00 pm they have reruns of Magnum PI. And I love him in his Jesse Stone movies. Glad you had a good time babysitting. ONTARGET I have started getting my flower beds ready to plant anything in them. We are having alot of deer coming in the yard. So dont know that I plant anything. If they will stay. Afraid the deer will eat them off. I had a couple of little tulips last year come up. Went out. Deer ate them off. They are even coming right up to our front porch at night. When we dont see them. But they are leaving us a message they have been here. Little piles of stuff. Even right on the walk. Oh well. I do enjoy watching the babies though. They are so cute when they start playing and running around. BEACHBUM :carrot: CONGRATS ON THE LOSS. That is great. Enjoy your retirement anniversary. VICKIE hope you are doing ok. Hope weigh in goes well. Well I got to get off here and get busy. I do have a load of laundry in the washer. And need to do one more before I get ready to go to town. Hope everyone has a great day. Thinking of each of you. coco coco99 03-30-2009, 10:14 AM BLESSEDWITHSARAH Hope you get to feeling better. TechAlum 03-30-2009, 01:59 PM Good Morning All, Came down to type up my menu for the next couple of weeks then I'm headed out to the grocery store (whoopie). Then knitting tonight, should be fun. Didn't get my walk in yesterday, it was cold and windy here and then the rain changed over to snow.....Luckily we didn't get much not even enough to shovel here in the city. Hopefully we can make it thru April w/o snow that would be great. It was a good day to stay inside and watch college hockey and basketball. Have to walk today tho hopefully I'll be able to get it in between shopping and dinner. MaryAnn - Congrats on the loss :D :D Paula - Hope you're feeling better. Vicki - :crossed: Hope wi went well. Sandra - DH likes On the Border too. I could take it or leave it Coco - We went and saw "Watchmen" it was good although pretty violent. I felt like I was back at school where the guys out numbered the girls tho. Well I should get a move on. Have a great day everyone. -Tech Vickie 03-30-2009, 05:26 PM I only lost .4 for a total of 15.8. That's .4 for the last 3 weeks and 10 pounds in 10 weeks at JC. They upped me from 1700 to 2000 calories. I'm scared to eat more when I'm not losing but my WW calories would be 1900 a day. If I were doing WW, I'd be getting 33 points a day and 5 points if I spread my WPA's out over the week. That's figuring each point at 50 calories which I know can be low. The JC Counselor is supposed to be calling the nutrition department to see if they can help. I'm beyond frustrated. I'll come back and catch up with all of you as soon as I have a chance. ontarget 03-30-2009, 06:58 PM Rhonda, :woohoo: on the TS look alike. Are you sure you're going to work tomorrow? I think I heard you coughing. You might need to stay home. Maryann, congratulations on the weightloss. And--enjoy your evening out. Paula, I hope you're feeling better. Coco, have you tried planting deer resistant plants? I don't know if they work 100%, but I'm thinking they might be good for your area. Donna, we went to the club this AM and exercised for a little over an hour. Thirty minutes of that was in a class the other half was :ebike:. Vickie, I hope upping your calories works. Please try not to be frustrated. Sounds like they're going to get you some help. Tomorrow is my "Girls' Day Out." I'm excited. I'll go to WW to wi before we leave. This will be a good test tomorrow to see if I can drop back down to 24 pts per day after my planned outing. We'll see. Tejas 03-30-2009, 09:34 PM Why yes, cousin Sandra I have been feeling just a mite puny and feverish lately. Maybe I should take a little rest. Too bad I can't :( Oh well. I had way too many carbs today. Tomorrow is another day someone said once. I had my first pottery class tonight. I "threw" three little pots. I'm not sure that my chronic neck and right arm problem will support my doing this craft, but I'm trying. That's why they make aspirin, right? Have a great night all, Rhonda beach bum 03-31-2009, 10:48 AM Good Morning Ladies:) Had a great time yesterday at BBC and having that POGWICH wasn't as bad as I though. It was roll that they took out the stuffing and left the shell and filled it with shaved pork with STOUT BBQ sauce and caramelized onions.I had veggies on the side. I calculated the meal to be 15 pts[750] just like I predicted it to be.It was delicious, but I have no idea where I could buy the rolls and make the Pogwiches at home. Now back to the small plates for the rest of the week. PAULA-Hope you not coming down with the flu. It going around our town right now,and several elderly people were taken to the hospital. No your not a bad mom, you did the right thing you can't go around, in bad weather when your not feeling well. COCOThanks for the congrats. I hope you had good results at your W-I also. TECH-Sound like you had a fun day, we need that now and than to keep us regenerated.I'm not going to walk until the weather get better. The temps maybe up but the wind is the killer on the Cape. VICKIE-OH NO Dear Vickie don't be frustrated. A loss is a loss, and that good amount according to my doctor 1/2 to 1 a week. Maybe you have to up the calories a bit. Don't be scared our body needs food for energy. 1700 -2000 is not a lot of calories. I found that the more I eat the better I lose.I was constantly stalling or gaining at WW 20pt[1000] like my leader told me to eat. Once I got out of that mode and starting to up my calories the weight & inches are coming off not fast but steadily. SANDRA-Thanks for the congrats and we did have a great time and the food was good. I like to take my dgc there when the come up for Easter, but Leo thinks differently as BBC is a pub/restaurant but they do have a children menu[hot dogs, burgers, chicken nuggets & pizza] RHONDA-I have to undue my grain carbs also,as the POGWICH [bread bowl] was delicious but that was too much bread for me.Had a High fiber waffle for breakfast, but this afternoon I going to have veggies & proteins. Have a great morning coco99 03-31-2009, 01:50 PM Hi Everyone Well I am really upset. I gained again last night. I gained 1 pound. The only thing I can really thing of. Maybe too many carbs. I dont know. I am just really frustrated right now. BEACHBUM glad you had a good time yesterday. ONTARGET Not sure what to get that the deer wont eat. Maybe some marigolds and pansys. Think I will just plant some in some flower pots and put on the front porch. And maybe they wont bother them. Hope you had a wonderful GIRLS DAY OUT!! TEJAS Hope the pottery class goes well. I am thinking I had too many carbs this week. That is why I gained. Will try and really watch them this week. TECHALUM How did knitting go. I would like to see Monsters vs Aliens. Thought it looked like it might be good. BEACHBUM Gald you had a good time yesterday. As you can see the scales wasnt good for me. VICKIE :carrot:CONGRATS ON THE LOSS. That is great. That is good that your JC counselor is really trying to find answers for you. And at WW they always say you have to eat to lose. So maybe you arent getting enough to eat. And since you are exercising. There was a lady in our class last night. She got her 10 lb ribbon. But she was complaining that it took her a long time to get it. I think she has been coming about 3 months. And she is elderly. But our leader told her. She had a elderly lady. It took her 7 years to lose 10 lbs. So see you are way ahead of the game with 15. Well I am going to get off here. Got some towels in the washer. In fact I had to make two loads of them. And then I have to do son's work clothes. And then tomorrow I will finish the laundry. So will work on that for two days. Not sure what else I will get into. Have alot of things to do. Will be back later. Have a great day everyone. coco TechAlum 03-31-2009, 01:57 PM Hello All, Well I did get in my walk yesterday, it turned out to be a pretty nice day. I also stayed away from the cookies at Panara's it was hard last night. Met the folks at the park this morning, it was cool and breezy but still nice to see them and get in some exercise. I think my dad has worn out my dog tho, he's got the droopy eyed "don't make me get up" look going. I have my first PT this afternoon sure hope it helps my shoulder its really bugging me, then :swim::exercise: this evening. Then we're having tacos for dinner, I can't tell you the last time I had a hard taco shell but for some reason I've been craving them lately so I bought a box, I get 3 for 3 pts, plus a 1/4 lb grnd sirloin and fixings it should be about 9 pts for the 3, not to bad, since the only thing else I'll need is a salad. Vicki - Hope that upping the calories helps, sounds like they're trying to work with you. Sandra - Hope you had fun with the girls. Maryanne - The wind is the main reason I didn't walk on Sun it was brutal. Sounds like you had a good time eating out. Coco, Rhonda & Paula - Well I should get going. I may not make it on tomorrow, DH has chemo, we'll see how it goes. Have a great day everyone. -Tech blessedwithsarah 03-31-2009, 02:43 PM Hi everyone. Thank you all for your well wishes. I do think i had a touch of the flu - nothing major though. I guess the flu shot did keep it a touch instead of full blown. I'm feeling much better now. Already did my grocery shopping and got my contact lenses set. After I think 3 weeks I have good lenses for both eyes!! WOO HOO I can see. I also got my pedicure in today. Right now i'm on a conference call for work, well listening to it. Once thats done I'm going out for a walk. Its sunny and almost 60. Vickie - again, thanks for the lasagna recipe. I put into the freezer 8 servings! YUM. I hope the JC consultant finds a good strategy for you. Don't give up. Things will start working the way they should. Don't lose sight of your losses so far. Well, got to get back to my call. BBL coco99 03-31-2009, 08:27 PM Hi Everyone Well I have let that one pound gain get to me today. I have been soooo bad it isnt funny. I had a half of a nine inch sub, 1 1/2 slices of pizza and some crackers and cheese. Along with shredded wheat and a new healthy choice entree. I did have some salad. No extra points for me this week. And now I feel awful. I feel like I dont have any energy. And sluggish. Why did I do this to myself. I dont really now. At the time as I was eating the food it felt good. But now I am ashamed of myself. So I am trying to make plans for tomorrow. So that I am back on the wagon. Shredded wheat for breakfast. Bocca burger and arnold sandwich thin for lunch Salad for supper. Apple and frozen cherries and raspberries for snacks. Now to just stay with the plan. One thing that will help. Son wont be here to eat. Ok enough about me. How is everyone doing. I hope everyone is having a great on track day. It was nice today. In the 60's. Suppose to be rainy tomorrow. Oh I forgot to tell you ladies. I went and bought me a mp3 player yesterday. I dont know a thing about them. So I really dont know why I bought it. I probably wont be able to figure it out. But I thought was exercising or sitting in DR's offices ect. It would be nice to have. But I have to really start exercising to use it. Maybe that can be a incentive. To use the thing. I have to exercise. but first I have to learn how to put songs on it. Does anyone have one. And do they like theirs. Well I better get off here. Need to go check on hubby. Make sure he is ok. He wasnt feeling good. Have a great evening everyone. Sorry about the book I wrote. Thinking of each of you. coco ontarget 03-31-2009, 11:25 PM We had a fantastic Girls' Day out! I used 17 WPA's today. The big test will be for me to get back on program tomorrow. Right now, I'm feeling empowered. Time will tell. Coco, it sounds like you're working on what could have caused your gain. Just do what you can and try not to stress. Tonight on Biggest Loser they talked about how stress can cause you to gain. Try not to stress. Vickie, read what I just wrote Coco about stress. I think there's something to it. I think our bods may possibly misinterpret stress as danger to the body and cause us to retain. What do you think? Rhonda, is "Tom" still there? How is Doyle doing with Diet Cokes? I am now out and am not planning to buy more. I'll drink one every now and then when we're out. coco99 04-01-2009, 10:57 AM Hi there It is raining and dreary. Not much going on here. For breakfast. I guess I failed my plan already. I had a apple and fiber one pancakes. I was going to have a apple and shredded wheat. Well hopefully the rest of the day I will stay on plan. I got my lettuce draining. Washed it. Now letting the water drain out. Got my carrots soaking in some warm water to clean them. And the I have some raddishies to clean. So will have stuff for my salad. Not much. But the cucumbers were to expensive $2.18 for a seedless one. And the regular ones didnt look very good. And the sweet peppers didnt look very good. Oh well just make a nice salad with what I have. I might add some mandrin oranges to my salad also. Well I think I have a can. ONTARGET Glad you had a wonderful time on your girls day out. I think stress and boredom play alot into the factor of weight loss. And sometimes I dont realize that I am stressing on something. But then I will sit back and think. Well this is bothering me or this. And right now. I am being bothered about something in church. But I shouldnt use that as an excuse to eat things that I shouldnt. But I do. And it isnt helping the situation. But at the time whatever I have ate. Makes me feel better that moment. Then in a few minutes. I regret what I ate. Then think.Oh heck with it. I messed up. So I may as well eat whatever I want. And then the scales show the gain. And I get upset. And then I blame the scales. When it is my fault. But then the times that I have been faithful in eating. And gain that is what is so upsetting. Sorry I wrote you a book ONTARGET. VICKIE, BEACHBUM, TECHALUM, TEJAS, BLESSEDWITHSARAH Thinking of each of you. Hope you are having a great day. Well I better get off here. Get something done. Got some paper work I need to work on. So will be back later. coco Tejas 04-01-2009, 11:08 AM Just a quick note... it's raining here too DH is doing OK without diet drinks I absolutely believe that "stress" makes the body retain...and it does make the body produce hormones that make it hard to lose.... Gotta run to the office... beach bum 04-01-2009, 12:28 PM Good Morning Ladies:) Was late posting this morning as I had to get some last minute items to make my Chicken Jambalaya for todays dinner. Have to go to choir rehearsal this afternoon, only have a week left before Holy Week and practice is of the assents. COCO-Sorry about the gain. It could be carbs,as I'm up today also for the big sand I had Had on Monday. Drink lots of water to flush it out. Oh I read you second post and it has to be grain carbs trying to eat more salads of veggies and try to keep the grain carbs to a bare minimum TECH-Hate not g=being able to go outside and get my walking done, but we are a lot cooler than it was in NY at this time of the year. Also feed you craving other wise the body goes berserk, eating everything in site. PAULA=Sorry about the flu hope by the time I posted you feeling a lot better. SANDRA-Glad you a great girl night out,and that you went right back OP the faster you do the best off you are. Oh on the Biggest loser last night they said that stress is the biggest problem when it comes to weight loss. That what happened to Nicole yesterday when she gained 5 lbs.after returning to the show. Have to go and get my dinner started ontarget 04-01-2009, 05:22 PM Coco, what Rhonda said is what I meant by stress causing bodies to retain. I also agree with the stress eating you're talking about. I'm doing all right without Diet Cokes today. I did have one while we were out shopping yesterday. It's been 2 days since we had any in the house, though. Maryann, I am making it so far being op today. Life is good. coco99 04-01-2009, 08:23 PM Hi Everyone Just thought I would get back on here for just a few. Well stayed pretty well on plan today. So that is good. Oh what I thought had been frozen raspberries. Turned out they were frozen blackberries. But I mixed the berries and cherries together and put just a little splenda on them. They were good. Wonder if I can get on here and watch the biggest loser show. Will have to try after I get done. ONTARGET I usually dont drink pop. But yesterday I had a diet Orange Crush. It was so good. But I just bought the one. So there were none left in the house. I have to watch drinking pop. Seems some trigger me. I really like diet cherry coke. But I notice when I drink it. I cant stop and then all I want to do is eat. So that is why I dont drink much pop. The orange one didnt seem to bother me. But good job on giving up the pop. BEACHBUM Yes the Holy Week things will be here before you know it. Dont seem like it is time for Easter. Well I am going to get off here. Hope everyone had a great day. Thinking of each of you. coco Tejas 04-01-2009, 09:00 PM OK, chickies...how's this for a serious commitment. I have signed up for 10 sessions of power walking classes. Once a week for 10 weeks, beginning mid-April. I've lost my mind! Rhonda ontarget 04-01-2009, 11:24 PM Rhonda, you may be crazy but I admire your spunk. That is definitely a serious commitment. coco99 04-02-2009, 10:10 AM Hi Everyone Well I tried to get into the biggest loser to watch the show. But I couldnt find the one for this week. They had one for the week before. Maybe I just wasnt looking in the right place. Maybe I will try later. Well the sun is shining. Suppose to be rain on the way tomorrow. Might have a chance of thunder storms tomorrow. Might do some laundry today. since the sun is out. There is a couple of things that I wash and dont dry. Today would be a good day to hang out. Not sure what else I might get into. Think son is working half a day. Said he needs to take his truck and get it looked at. He thinks maybe it needs a new bearing or ball joint. Something. Glad he is going to do that. So I dont have to try and take it to get it worked on. TEJAS What is a power walk class. I know it would have something to do with walking. Sounds like fun. Well I a will get off here. Get busy. Then I will be back later. Have a great day everyone. coco Tejas 04-02-2009, 03:10 PM Hi All: I stayed home today to help around the house. Do you believe that? Look here for powerwalking information. You don't need this particular site, but you do need a trainer sometime to help you get the swing and placing of feet correct, I believe. Anyone can powerwalk, but it helps to have some instruction. The class I'm going to is for marathon training, and I bet I never do that. But, I've heard it's a very good class. http://www.wowpowerwalking.com Rhonda beach bum 04-02-2009, 03:38 PM HI Ladies:) Was up early as I have to go for a mammogram at 8:30. Hope everything will be fine.I was a little concerned as I had a pain around the limp nodes but didn't feel any lumps.Radiologist told me if the pain doesn't subside I should talk to my doctor at my April 21 appointment. After my noon dinner I got tired and vegged out on the sofa. Not going to exercise either as my left leg's back muscle is hurting, must have twisted it some how while riding the bike. SANDRA-Once I can see either the success on the scale or clothes getting loose I feel like i could stay OP for forever. Its the time when you do everything right and have notthing to show for is irritating. COCO-I see my crocuses starting to bloom so Spring must be on its the way.Our supermarket has fresh blackberries on sale 2 for $5.00 and I bought a few baskets to use for my fruit smoothie, parfaits and also for my cereal.I  blackberries. RHONDA-Congrats on your power walking quest.I used to power walk with a group of co-workers all around our whse building for 1 m per round. That's not crazy wish I could do that again.Thank for sharing the web site with us. Have a great afternoon, going back to lay on the sofa blessedwithsarah 04-02-2009, 03:51 PM Hi everyone. Hope things are well. I'm feeling better. So thats good. Rhonda, the powerwalking sound interest. Good for you making that committment. Maryann, hope things are fine with your appt. Missed wi again this week. I think I'm going to start weighing myself on Wednesday am and recording that. I'm doing well, but I need track my weight, there are only 6 weeks left in our session. Considering how often I missed the meetings I may not join again. I'll have to decide when it gets closer. Well, got to run. I'll be back later. coco99 04-02-2009, 08:34 PM Hi Everyone Just getting back on here for a few. Not much going on. Did wash a couple loads of laundry today. Hung a couple of things out. Didnt take long to dry the wind was blowing pretty good. Guess getting ready to blow in the colder weather. BEACHBUM Hope your leg feels better. BLESSEDWITHSARAH hope you can still go to your meetings. I bet it is hard to go at work. I went to a at work WW meeting. I didnt like it. I didnt work there. I just went. But alot of the times I was the only one for the meeting. All the others that worked there. Would just weigh and leave. It was toward the end of the day. When they were getting off work. I just didnt feel like I got anything out of the meeting. So I started going to a regular meeting. I like it much better. TEJAS Thanks for the info on power walking. Well I am going to get off here for now. Not much happening. Have to run so errands in the morning. So dont know if I will be on here in the am or not. Probably not until afternoon. Hope everyone is doing ok. Thinking of everyone coco ontarget 04-02-2009, 11:48 PM I have been hungry all day long and have used several WPA's. I have 3 more left till Tuesday. I am exercising and will prob use my AP's. All this most likely means my chances for a loss are slim. (pun intended) Life goes on. Rhonda, power walking sounds interesting. Good success to you. Maryann, you're right. We need to get the gooooood feedback to help keep us motivated. Paula, I am proud of you for staying OP without going to the meetings. I know that's not easy. Coco, BL was really good this week. I hope you get to see it. Tejas 04-03-2009, 08:17 AM Sandra, your ticker says that it is almost freezing down there! What's that all about??? It's colder there than it is here. Oh, I see, we sent it your way. We have rainy and grey skies. I had steel cut oats for an early breakfast while DH slept. The renovations are irritating. Our worker left at lunch and did not come back! He called and apologized saying that he had errands to run!!!! If I had known he wasn't coming back, DH and I could have gone to a movie or something. The guy may be cute, but his behavior isn't. I do, however, love the new cork laminate floor in the study and hope that it is in the kitchen when I get home today from the office. Bye for now, Rhonda Vickie 04-03-2009, 11:09 AM Good Morning Chicks! Crazy busy here this week. I have to exercise and get ready this morning so I can take my pup to the Vet. She has issues we are dealing with. Sorry I have no time to catch up now. I hope you are all well. beach bum 04-03-2009, 01:43 PM Hi Ladies:) Very foggy, reminds me of LONDON TOWN today. We decided not go out,as are bones are bothering us the moment the barometer goes down. Can't believe that I lost all my information from the beginning of the year on fit day. I had charts that I wanted to copy and paste for my doctors appointment this April 21th and now I have nothing. Now I'm in the Spark people web site to track my food, exercise along with tracking my weight and I really like them better than fit day. PAULA-Thanks my mammogram went fine, even though I had a pain around my limp nodes she told me that they ex rays look ok,but I should make sure with my doctor this month. COCO-Thanks,my leg is back to normal again,I must have pulled the muscle when on the bike exercising VICKIE-Soory about to doggy having to go to the vet I'm be back later dinner is ready . coco99 04-03-2009, 04:02 PM Hi Everyone Just a quick check in. Got the errands ran this morning. Got a late start. So am behind. Got to get ready and go to church. We are making Easter Eggs tonight. Have about 400 to make. So wont be back on tonight. And wont be on here until sometime tomorrow evening. We have to dip the eggs in the morning. VICKIE Hope you doggie is ok. BEACHBUM Glad your mammogram went ok. ONTARGET. Maybe over the weekend I can try and see if I can get the BL. Sounds like it would have been good. TEJAS Sorry your worker didnt show up. Bet Tom Selleck wouldnt have done that. LOL!! Well got to get off here. I am thinking of everyone. Have a great evening. coco ontarget 04-03-2009, 04:35 PM Rhonda, it's still a little cool today but at least it's not windy. Yesterday we had 50 mph gusts. And we had mucho gusts! I wish your worker had let you know he wasn't coming back. What was he thinking? Did he think you were mind readers or something? I'm glad you're pleased with his work, though, but am hoping you don't decide not to sell. You need to live in Texas. Vickie, I hope you're having a good week. I'm struggling a bit because of using so many WPA's Tuesday. I may have to up my exercise so I'll have more AP's. Oh, well. Life goes on. I had a WW TV dinner for lunch. Now I'm ready for an afternoon snack. What's helping most with my snacking is that I don't eat on the sofa any more. I have to go to the kitchen table for my snacks. That's helping curb mindless eating. I have heard them say that oodles of times at WW but never practiced it to see how it would work. It works. As to Diet Cokes? I had some withdrawal yesterday but am still going strong. Life is good. TechAlum 04-03-2009, 04:43 PM Hi Everyone, It's been a crazy week here too. DH's treatment hit him hard so he's doing pretty badly. The PT thinks I have a frozen shoulder so she's trying to loosen it before we do any strengthening I have ones to do at home, man it is not fun. Yesterday was sunny and beautiful out (all the way to 65F), today it is cloudy rainy and windy and the temps have been falling all day (it's around 42F now), they're saying snow flurries by Monday. Gotta love spring. I walked 4 days this week so far, need to go to the gym today (not doing outside, the Scooter's not happy), plus water exercise twice. So at least my exercise is on track even if my food intake is not. Maryann - glad the mammogram looked ok. Vicki - Sandra - I agree with the stress issue. I'll have to watch BL tonight. Tuesday we watched last weeks we're a little behind. Coco - Do you get in enough protein? If I don't get some in at just about every meal I'm hungry and start eating everything in sight. It doesn't look like they have the newest show posted, just photos. Luckily I have it in the DVR. I have an MP3 player, I actually download books from my library and listen to them rather than music while exercising. DH takes care of getting all the music into MP3 format, I'm lazy and let him. Rhonda - that stinks about the contractor. Hope you're floors done when you get home. Paula - Glad you're feeling better. Well I should get moving. Have a great day everyone. -Tech Tejas 04-03-2009, 09:10 PM The floor is done! Coco, you're right Tom Selleck wouldn't have done that. And, this guy's name is Tom also. I'll catch up with everyone later, I'm really tired tonight. But, Donna, I'm so sorry that you're in pain and that DH is reacting badly to treatment. And, Vickie I hope the doggy is OK. Rhonda ontarget 04-04-2009, 12:38 PM Donna, I'm sorry dh is having problems with his treatment, and I'm also sorry about your shoulder pain. Congratulations on exercising. I am impressed that you're doing it with all you have going on in your life. We're taking the grands plus one of their best friends to the movies today to see "Monsters vs Aliens". It's in 3d. PaPa is going, too. We're looking forward to lots of fun. We're taking them to Cracker Barrel before the movies. Life is good. blessedwithsarah 04-04-2009, 02:27 PM Sandra, let me know how the movie is. DD wants to see it as well - Spring vacation is a couple weeks away, I'll take her that week. It looks good from the previews. Hope you enjoy it. Donna, hope you and DH are doing better. Rhonda, glad the floor is done! Busy weekend here -- I went to a friends last night for a girls night. Didn't get home until after 11, then tonight we are fixing my sister up with a friend of DHs. Both are in the 50s and divorced. Should be fun, but another late night. We are not going to dinner until after 7. I'm not much of a night person, but it will be fund. My neice is sitting for dd, so maybe they'll spark a friendship. If not, its an adult night out. Then tomorrow after church we are doing an egg hunt in our yard. There will be dd, my nieces daughter and a friends 2 kids. Small group, with 98 eggs! Hope everyone has a great day. beach bum 04-04-2009, 02:32 PM Hi Girls:) Had a busy morning even if our winds were gusting to 40 MPH .My sister thinks I can walk in this weather,by telling me to wear a ski mask. Now that the winds subsided I'm still going to get my exercising done indoors. My back leg muscle is feeling find ,so they're not excuse for not getting it done.for at least 30-45 mins today. Went to my vitamin store and bought a colon detoxing kit. for a 14 day plan.I'm consistently bloated and having a full feeling even when I haven't eaten in a while.Hope it does works, staying the plan tomorrow. COCO-Glad it went well also,Kind of scared this time around that I thought I had something wrong with the pains I had under my arm. SANDRA-I saw that 50MPH gust at the RED STONE golf course in Houston. They had to cancel the game on Thursday and had to double up yesterday. Sorry about your inching up on the scale, its happening to me also that why I going to detox and see what happens. TECH-Sorry about your DH having a bad day with this treatment. How many more does he have to go for them??? I haven't exercised at all, having the hurt leg muscle, hope to get some done today.Hope you shoulder heals shortly. RHONDA-Happy to hear the floor is done and that's always a plus to your home. We still can't decide which way were going wall to wall or new flooring. Have to make up our mind soon, before the prices go up. Have a great afternoon ,going to watch the golf tournament. coco99 04-04-2009, 09:12 PM Hi Just a quick stop in. I am tired. We made 419 peanut butter eggs last night. And then dipped them today. Then my Mom and Dad had been working on the other flavors we sale. They made around 500. This is a fund raiser for our church. So right now I dont care if I ever see another Easter Egg. Well I am going to get off here. I need to go and check up with you ladies. And then I am going to go take some motrin and put my feet up. They are aching. I hope everyone had a great day. Talk to you tomorrow. coco coco99 04-05-2009, 05:14 PM Hi Everyone must be having a great weekend. Not much happening here. Went to church. Then out to eat. And then to Wal Mart. Then came home. Put most of the stuff away. Got a load to kitchen towels in the wash. They are the ones we dirted at church yesterday. So have to get them washed up for next Sunday. We will have sunrise service at church. Then we have breakfast. And the sunday shcool. So will need the towels for the dishes. It is a beautiful day today. 66 degrees. But guess colder weather on the way. But we need out Easter snow. Going to watch the country music awards tonight. Other than that probably not much. Do have a few dishes to do. Just going to have a lazy day. Well I am going to get off here for now. Hope everyone is doing ok. Thinking of everyone. Have a wonderful Sunday. coco ontarget 04-05-2009, 05:47 PM Coco, sounds like you're having a laidback day. We are, too. Rhonda, it's cold again here today. The wind has been horrendous. Our FITA target is lying on the ground. I did get outside long enough to water the beds. Now we're holed up in front of the TV. I have on a warm, comfy robe over my clothes. Now how's that for a weather report? Do I need a life or what? I have been online playing Sudoku. I'm having a blast doing that. And it keeps me out of the kitchen. Life is good. TechAlum 04-05-2009, 05:48 PM Went to WW yesterday and gained back the 2 pounds I'd lost last week. So as usual I'm still stuck in the same place :^: Thanks for all the well wishes for DH this was his 7th out of 10 treatments and each one seems worse than the one before. He said he's actually going to talk to the dr about his dosage because this week has been really bad. My shoulder is doing better I think, it doesn't hurt all the time now just when I use it, small improvements, hopefully it'll keep getting better. I have PT 3 times this week  Yesterday the weather here was beautiful all those visitors (NCAA basketball final four is about 20 mins away) thought spring had sprung, tomorrow for the final game they're forecasting 1-3 inches of snow, gotta love spring....Took the dog for a walk yesterday and today :D I'm pretty happy. Hopefully I can make it to the gym tomorrow, I don't think I'll be walking outside. I'm also thinking of buying a pack for the dog so he has to work more, the more often we walk the further he wants to go and according to the dog whisperer giving them a pack gives them a job and they stop trying to wander and sniff everything (which will help my shoulder), plus it might tire him out sooner. We'll see. I also watched BL and I think some of Rochelle's (sp) problem was lack of sleep, they showed here in the gym at 11:30pm and on the track at 5am, according to a recent study I saw on the "Today Show" getting 7.5 hrs of sleep a night is very important to loosing weight. Here's a link to the article if you're interested http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/29057007/ Coco - What a lot of eggs. Hope you at least had fun. Paula - Sounds like a fun (if busy) weekend. Hope you enjoyed everything. Rhonda - Glad your floor's done. Sandra - Hope you enjoyed the movie, I was going to take DH last weekend but we decided not to go for opening weekend (too many kids for us kidless types), so we went to see Watchmen instead (definitely not a kid movie). Maryanne - However you can get the exercise in is great for you. Good luck on that cleanse. Vicki - How's it going? Well I should go cover the herbs so the snow doesn't stunt their growth. Tech coco99 04-05-2009, 07:36 PM Hi there again TECHALUM Sorry about the gain. And I will keep you and your hubby in my prayers. That chemo can be wicked. I talked to my Mom a little bit ago. I asked her how many we made. Mom and Dad made 649 of different flavors. Then Saturday we did 419. So that is 1069 total Easter Eggs we did this year. This is the most we have ever done. ONTARGET enjoy your day. Guess that is what Sundays are for. To relax. VICKIE how are you. Hope everything is ok. BEACHBUM Hope the winds died down. I dont like it when we have high gusty wind. Glad your leg is better. Good luck with the detox. I have never done that. Well I am going to get off here. Go do my dishes. And get ready to watch the country music awards. And I am going to dig out some cross stitch to do. So I wont want to eat while they are on. Hope everyone has a great evening. Be back tomorrow. coco ontarget 04-05-2009, 08:36 PM Donna, I'm sorry about your gain. You'll lose it in no time, though. I think you might be right about the BL lady not getting enough sleep. I have heard about the importance of sleeping, too. It makes sense. Coco, you sound like you're having a good day. Makes me smile. Tejas 04-05-2009, 11:13 PM  I'm still here, barely. I spent the day going to Home Depot, painting and reorganizing the study. As much as I hated painting, I just kept saying to myself that it was the last time I paint this room likely...Maybe I'll do a touch up when we move out, but other than that, it is mostly DONE! On to more tasks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a great night.. Rhonda ontarget 04-08-2009, 04:09 PM We're going to see the grands tonight to take them some Easter goodies. Tomorrow I'm going to the school to help hide eggs for our kindergarten grand's party/hunt. Rhonda, sounds like you've been busy. That should earn you some AP's. vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
