Default Soda

When I started my weight loss journey three weeks ago, I quit drinking soda. I initially thought that it was going to be really hard (I am a big Diet Coke junkie). However, I am finiding that I don't miss it at all. I have only been drinking water these past three weeks. I do have milk with my cereal and a cup of tea at night.

I think that cutting the soda out of my diet has really helped me. Anyone else out there cut out soda from their diet? How are you doing without drinking it?

I cut soda out too. I was the same. Pepsi max was my crack lol. I used to drink almost a litre of it every day. So gross. I drank it a few weeks ago and it was horrible I was bloated and gassy (tmi I know) for a day or 2. Not worth it.

I've also found that I've become less bloated, My stomach looks a lot better!!

All I drink these days is water and tea! And the occasional juice or coffee but thats pretty rare!

Such a great decision to make. Congrats!

Good luck!

Ugh, in the past I have given it up, and found that just like you guys I started not even liking it and felt better for cutting it out, but when I got pregnant I wanted mountain dew allll the time, and now for some reason I just can't seem to kick it, I keep trying and caving...it's just soooo good. [but I know if I could quit I would start not liking it again lol]

I cut out regular pepsi in January, every once in awhile I get a taste for it but haven't succumbed to the craving. I do have 1 diet ginger ale a day.

I was also a diet pepsi junkie, I used to drink a 2liter a day no joke and would even get cranky when I didn't have it. I cut it out about a week ago and now only drink water and skim milk. I thought I would be craving it like crazy by now but I've been fine. I think it will definatly help with my weight loss.

I cut sodas over a year ago...and between that time have lost about 30lbs. (Along with watching what I eat and exercising regularly..) but I don't get that bloated feeling anymore unless I overeat or if it's TOM.

I can't stand sodas anymore!

I found cutting soda helps with my weight loss and food cravings. I try to replace it with tea, but now i just drink to much tea. Agh.

I love coke! Buuuut! I gave it up! I slip up here and there, but most of the time I avoid it. I haven't noticed any weight loss, or less cravings from stopping having it. The calories alone just aren't worth it!

I cut out pepsi about 10 yrs ago because at that time I was keeping up with my big brother and drinking at least 4-6 cans a day. The reason I quit? I heard that I could lose weight by eliminating it and because I saw how it could dissolve a nail and figured it was probably best that it not be inside me.

It's one of the best things I ever did for my body. I don't like pop whatsoever nowadays and only drink water, 1 cup of coffee/day, and green/black tea.

(although there are days that I drink diet coke as a mixer with rum/vodka just to save on calories. But even then I really don't like the taste and it doesn't exactly make me feel good with all the fake sugars)

I don't miss it at all. I went from regular soda, to a couple weeks of diet, to water. I do add crystal light but those are too sweet for me so I use one packet for a 32oz instead. But to be completely honest, I don't miss soda at all, and I feel a lot less bloated after a meal with water.

My addiction was Diet Dr. Pepper. I haven't had one in about 2 weeks, although I was tempted to get one yesterday as a "reward." I didn't cave however. I used to drink upto 24 oz. a day a few years ago. I finally cut it out completely because I figured all that fake sugar and acid can't be good for me. I sometimes slip back to having it when I fall off the wagon, but I stick to seltzer water when I crave carbonation. Otherwise for a regular day, I drink water, skim milk, tea & coffee made with a lot of skim milk, and orange juice.

I drank a lot of diet coke and pepsi. For the last 3 weeks or so, I'm working on slowly cutting it out. I get really bad caffine withdrawal head aches if i try to go too long with out any, and i don't like coffee. I've managed to get it down to 12oz once every other day. Soon i'll make it every 3 days.

I'm quitting diet coke after I finish the 12 pack I have (because just throwing it away would be a waste).
