Good morning--rainy day here which is a blessing (of sorts); we have had those brush fires again although nowhere near as bad as last year. :(

I went to a ballet on Friday, then worked an Irish show at our church all day Saturday. Golfed a little on Sunday, but got rained out.

My weekend eating-wise was awful. I ate things I don't usually eat; I ate way too much. Just want to forget the whole thing.:o New week.

Here are my replies to your posts last week:

Melissa, My graduate school mascot used to be the Golden Knights, but now just the Knights. I hope your team wins. How was the conference?

Lori, I'm so glad it's only communication issues with that employee. At least it's being addressed. So soon for the baby (I know you don't think so--not soon enough!) It sounds like the nursery is coming along well. You made me feel bad--spring cleaning--I haven't really thought much about it. :?:

Good morning! It's sunny here and cold! It's 23 this morning but it may warm up to the high 30's but we'll see. The rest of the week is supposed to be warmer.

Lisa: I'm sure the rain will help keep the fires to a minimum. We've had a couple of them here this past weekend because people were burning outside and it got out of control. The conference is this Friday and I'm looking forward to it. Short week for me!

Lori: It sounds like you're making good progress on the nursery. When I had DS #1 I hadn't quite finished up his room. I hope you get the communication problem at work solved--that's so frustrating!

I didn't get nearly as much done as I would've liked over the weekend. I really need to focus and stay on task. I did a bunch of running around on Saturday and in the evening I read instead of organizing things in my bedroom. It's so easy for me to get wrapped up in a book and escape!

I need to get back on track with my eating/snacking, it hasn't been good at all. I'm working on it though!

Good morning ladies! The nursery is not painted :( It should have been by today, but DH got lazy over the weekend! As long as it is done by THIS weekend, since we are putting the floor in on Sunday. I suppose we could even paint after the floor is put in, but it would be nice to do it before just so we know we won't get paint on the floor. The sanding of the drywall HAS to be done before the floor is put in though.

The communication thing with my interface has gotten to the point where every single email makes me cringe. I get so mad that I need to get up from my desk and walk around for a few minutes before I respond.

I did quite a bit this weekend. Saturday I came into work for about 4 hours. When I got home I installed the infant carrier base in my car. Still need to get DH's in his car. DH and I rented a movie Sat. night - Rock N Rolla. It was good. Done by Guy Ritchie (yep, Madonna's soon to mbe ex hubby) - the same guy who did "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels". Sunday I went grocery shopping (4 stores!) and we had friends come to visit who couldn't make it to the baby shower. We watched the Bruins game with them and I cooked Sweet and Sour Chicken (WW recipe!) with rice for dinner.... but my friend Jessica brought a Reese's cake with her so that totally cancelled out the healthy dinner! It was yummy though :)

Lisa - Spring *was* in the air here, but today it is pretty cold! I'm jealous that you went to the ballet. I wanted to go this past weekend but didn't have time or anyone to go with.

Melissa - Our weather always seems to be similar. Its probably because we always get fronts that come from your area. What book are you reading?

Well, ladies, it's my virtual Friday and I'm glad. This weekend, DH and I plan to play some golf. We're headed to a spring training baseball game and then I'm going to a ladies tea on Sunday.

Friday night, my GF and I are going to a fashion show. We're a little dubious because one ad showed new spring fashions and another ad showed prom dresses! If it's prom dresses, I'm out of there. We'll have dinner either way.

Lori, I hope it's not too cold there. You need spring! I also hope you take a breather this weekend. Let your DH do the work!

Melissa, I do hope you can get some of the household tasks done that you want to accomplish. Did you ever get all of your test results?

Good morning! For some reason I've been having trouble accessing the boards and it's been frustrating! Anyway, it's warm (47) here this morning and overcast but that's okay--you can see the spring flowers poking up through the ground so hopefully if we do have any snow it'll be very little. A sure sign of spring is that the ice cream shop on the corner is opening tomorrow.

Lori: It does seem that our weather is pretty similar. Right now I'm reading a Janet Evanovich (romance) but I'm almost done with that. I bought the book Twilight and I'm anxious to start reading it. From what I've heard the book is better than the movie. I didn't see the movie so I can't compare. I do love a good book!

Lisa: Today is my Friday too...the conference is tomorrow and it should be fun. They have a boutique that we'll be able to check out along with the talks. We'll also have breakfast/lunch there. I go for the thyroid uptake on Tuesday and the test is 3 parts so I'll finish it up on Wednesday. Then I have my appointment with the endocrinologist on the following Wednesday (April 8th) so hopefully I'll have some idea as to what is going on.

Overall I've been feeling pretty good except for the sleeplessness and feeling hot most of the time. The flip side is that my weight has been holding and I'm happy with that.

I made a chocolate peanut butter pie for my dad for his birthday today--he's 81 and it's something he likes. I'm planning on heading over after dinner. Should be quiet here at work--my boss is in Springfield (MA) for basketball. Our team lost last night...they were ahead by 12 and then things fell apart; they had a great season though.

Melissa, I just love Janet Evanovich--she's hysterical. I wish Hollywood would make some movies about her books--don't know why they haven't. 47 is warm, huh?? Sorry about your Golden Knights--they went far though. Yum--chocolate peanut butter pie sounds good. Enjoy your conference.
