Hey all,
I have been busy the last 2 weeks with the end of school and other kid and family things. Got home from Chicago this evening. I am worn out, and not at all looking forward to going to work in the morning. I don't even want to unpack the car! But I will, because the glucometer is still in there and my meds. I don't have to like it though:p
Got to see some family that I hadn't seen in years though a happy coincidence. Or an act of God. Learned some interesting family history--answering a few questions that have been around awhile.
Gotta get all the critters and daughter settled so I can go to bed. Catch up with all of you later. Meowee, I hope you get some answers soon. Still worried about you.

Good morning, Chickies.
Welcome back, Tapping Peony. You were missed but it sounds like you had a good visit with family.
Rosey, sounds like you had a good weekend, Socializing is good, especially in sunshine!
For some reason my BGL is 8.0/144 this morning, way too high for me. It's been slowly creeping up over the past few days - not from bad food choices either! I have really been "on the go" so it could be stress.
This morning I must plan some quick meals. I seem to have a lot of things that start at 6:30 or even 5:30 and have not been eating proper meals. We'll see if planning better can alleviate the problem.
Raising my coffee mug to a terrific Tuesday. :cofdate:

Hi everyone, glad to read you are doing good. Meowee I hope you get better and get at least some answer.
My FBGL has been in the low 90's and even my after meals readings are around those numbers, the exercise is helping indeed. Last week was kind of rough and I felt like eating the world...TOM was around the corner.
Let's behave and have a great day everyone!

Hi, all. BGL holding steady. Overcast today. Our usual summer weather. The scale is going up instead of down. My bad. Sigh.
Rosey - Glad you're having fun with your family. Thought about you yesterday when one of the attys came back from an Alaskan cruise. He said the weather was beautiful. He brought me back some taffy from Juneau. Just what I need --- not!
Meowee - I sure hope that they figure out what is wrong with you and that it can be vanquished with a pill or a shot.
Ruth -- You are so lucky to have a garden. I don't even have room for a plant in my tiny apartment.

 My ticker is lying as I'm still up. BGL was 3.5/63 this morning, probably because I did not eat a good dinner last night. I didn't get home until 8:30 and just had a snacky meal.
Today has to be better. I am working at a church dinner tonight which is complete food porn. Luckily I'll be sick of the look of the carby food by the time it's over and will be able to eat real food when I get home. Chili and a salad will look good.
Rosetta, yes, I'm very lucky to have a garden although I crab a lot about the work. My poppies and lupines are just about the same as my avatar right now.
Renacer, good work on the exercise and good readings. I sure don't miss that TOM guy. What a jerk! And somewhat unpredictable too.
Sure would be nice to hear from Meowee but I know it takes a while to get the results of these tests so we wait and send good vibes.
Have a great Wednesday. :cofdate:

I am feeling great! Good morning all. Went to my first diabetic nutrition meeting and it was so informative. I was put on 1500 calories and was told to finish my Nutrisystem D products and to go on learning how to do the exchanges. I like this much better. It's real life and I should loose about a pound a week which is just fine with me. It was complicated at first, but not to bad and I can still cook which is great.
I hope all of you are doing well.
Blessings to all

YEY Melsie! You are doing an axcellent job.:carrot:
Ruth, TOM is a jerk indeed. I used to said he wasn't that much of a jerk but now that I'm watching what I eat it could be that I never noticed it.:dizzy:
Enjoy your job tonight. Hahaha when I read "porn" I thought to myself "she'll be ok as long as she watch it but don't touch it". Now reading it sounds kind of funny...:o

Hi everyone!
FBS was 83 this morning but an hour after breakfast it shot up to 142. Crazy! It must be stress, I ate the same thing I usually do. Once I got to work, I checked again and it was back down to 120. I stayed between 80 and 125 the rest of the day, so I guess I'll consider it a fluke.
Hope everyone is having a beautiful day! :D

Hi, all. Still overcast and cool here. BGL was 130 this a.m. pretty good since I scarfed down a burger and sweet potatoe fries after 10 p.m. last night. Work has been especially annoying this week. At least I have Spamalot to look forward to this weekend.
Rosey - good luck with your sleep study. I've had several. I use a CPAP but it doesn't help me much. Other people love it.

Another interesting thread....
Type 2 here. Diagnosed about 15 years ago. A1C was 7.8 last doctors visit but recently haven't been good about monitoring my numbers and keeping things under control. Would love to have a community I can talk to that understands what it's like to have diabetes. Will start posting my numbers and keeping up with you guys.

:welcome: Stormkitty. Glad you found us.
I need to boot my own butt and get in here more often but real life keeps interfering!
BGL has been running fine but I'm still messing around trying to break the 195 pound barrier. It sure gets harder to lose weight as you get older. I have been pretty active with gardening and other stuff and no "treats" have snuck in. However, the odd glass of wine probably isn't helping.
Church this morning, then I hope to finish cleaning my front porch. This afternoon there's a memorial service in the cemetery. I sure hope it doesn't rain as predicted. It's pretty miserable standing around in a cemetery in the pouring rain, even if I am related to most of the tenants! ;)
Have a "sunny" day, no matter the weather.

Good evening all! I hope everyone is doing well and feeling good. I do. I am still on Nutrisystem D and can't wait to finish the foods and get started on the ADA diet. I bought some really great cookbooks that are very diabetic approve with all the nutritional info and the tell exactly how much your portion is and I love that. It will help us with menus that I have to follow, how much my nutritional info is and a good shopping list that will help us financially also.
So far all is good and 13 lbs lost to boot.
Blessings to all and I will write more as time goes on.
