Diabetes Support - diabetes education

Does anyone know how i go about doing this? are they seminars or something? i just checked and my insurance covers something called Diabetes Self-Management Education...

If your insurance covers it, and it sounds like it does you should be able to call them and they can refer you to a place. Or your primary care doctor should be able to give you a referal

I had this cause I thought my insurance covered it but I hadnt met my deductible so now I have to frigging pay for it. Make sure you have met your deductible.....

Do you have Kaiser? I have kaiser and they have a diabetic management class and it is a 2 class (4 hrs each) process. they have you meet with a nutrionist and then discuss the proper/best ways to manage your diabeties. I'm signed up for next month! You should deff call your insurance or ask your dr. How are other things mel??? Hows the apt coming?
