Hello everyone, I just found and signed up to this site. This seems like a really great and supportive place to be! I am not new to the overweight/dieting world at all. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. I am through with being afraid to try things, or unable to try things because of my size. I want to be healthy! I posted a bio but I just wanted to say hello to everyone.

Welcome to the board, Heidi!

You have found a wonderful place to attack unwanted fat, since these threads are full of good advice and insightful observations from people who really know what it's like to have a lot of weight to lose. And TONS of support ---- cheering when you have lost a couple of pounds :cheer3: , hugs when you are having a hard day :hug: and a good firm kick to the patootie when that is what is called for :kickbutt:. So grab your bottle of water and come on in! Tell us what your are doing and what is working. The more, the merrier!

Hello everyone,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I know I am in the right place. I cant wait to get to know everyone and be part of the cheering sections when anyone accomplishes a goal!

Right now I am counting calories which is new for me. I always did low carb before because it worked quickly. I still think its great because carbs are majorly my issue and what I crave. But I also tend to overeat period. So counting calories makes me focus on portion sizes....so I am learning what a proper portion should be. The first few days were really rough because I was HUNGRY! But its not so bad now. I am keeping full on water and trying to stay busy so I dont snack just because Im bored.
