Default How to figure out servings

Hi all,
I've looked on the forums and either I'm not looking for the right thing or no one has covered it.

How do you take a recipe that you have from another source and figure out say how many vegetables, protein, starch, fruit? I have some weight watchers cookbooks and some low fat ones that my mom gave me years ago and I want to see if I can still use the recipes.

I am so glad you asked that question. I have not even tried to do that yet. My mom did LAWL about 3 years ago and she is always trying to tell me oh this is only a starch or something like that and it seems like it is nothing like my plan. So i will be interested to know how to confirgure recipes.
