It's easy to praise yourself for getting off your butt and doing something, but what about all those things you don't do? Like, for instance, having a second helping at dinner. So let's celebrate the small victories. :carrot: What are you glad YOU didn't do today?

Today I had seaweed salad instead of sushi because I knew I didn't have the calories left (but although those fish may have escaped this time, they're in my mind for the next time I have free calories and they'll be in the company of my digestive juices soon, soon indeed....)

I only had one coke zero today (been cutting down from several.) And managed to drive past many of my favorite fast food restaurants while starving without even blinking an eye.

I haven't ignored that little voice inside of me that told me not to just blow my whole diet at McDonald's in three minutes of indulgence.

I didn't order a frosty at Wendy's today even though I am sick, feel like crud, and felt sure it would make me feel better. :p

There's vanilla bean ice cream in the freezer, and sun-dried cherry sauce to go with it :T , and I didn't eat any!

I didn't just lounge around all day yesterday because I feel like crap, I got up and cleaned the house until I got so worn out that I had to sit down.

I didn't go back for more food even though I wasn't thoroughly *full*. I knew that if I waited a bit, like even 10 minutes my stomach and brain would catch up - and they did!

I didn't give into the urge (craving) to eat the frozen homemade cookeis I have in the freezer. And sure enough, that craving passed - really quickly too.

I didn't over snack last night (something I've been doing of late, even though I've been keeping it low cal). I went back to something I can rely on - a cup of hot tea.

I didn't snack the night away yesterday. One 100-cal bag of popcorn...and that's /all/ :D Usually it's popcorn, jelly beans, a spoonful of ice cream, half a cookie....

I didn't eat after 7 pm last night..... ok, so maybe I *had* to because I have some blood tests today, but still! I was hungry!

Instead, I went to the gym. :D

I cooked two servings of dinner last night instead of one, bagged it, and remembered to bring it to work today so I can have a nice, tasty lunch instead of ANOTHER can of tuna. Woo-hoo!

I didn't forget to prepack my breakfast (whole wheat english muffin, laughing cow and turkey) and regretfully buy a sausage biscuit. I prepacked and enjoyed it!

I didn't have a donut from Tim Horton's this morning, even though I was RIGHT THERE in front of them, all shiny fresh-baked and smelling wonderful, while I got my son a sandwich for lunch. I had a tea instead. :cheer:

My landlady left a slice of pound cake on my step last night. This morning, I put it in my tote & took it to the office & gave it to one of the guys here who adores such stuff.

I didn't just sit and watch the biggest loser last night (:(while eating ice cream like I normally do)- I actually got up and worked out.:):):)

I didn't overeat at dinner last night either:)

I went to the university cafeteria for breakfast, which is usually bad because I load up on things and have too much because it's buffet-style, all you can eat; but I only got some scrambled eggs and some fruit with black coffee and didn't go back up for anything else (which I ALWAYS do. esp when they have the darned egg/cheese bagel sandwiches which are probably like 900 cal. each).

The year that I was losing weight, that's EXACTLY what I did. Worked out to The Biggest Loser.

I got an iced coffee (nothing else of course!) today at McDonald's and ordered the caramel one not knowing it was full of sugar. I thought it was just flavored without tons of extra cals like the dunkin donuts kind, which is where I usually go.

Anyway... after tasting how sugary it was.... I DIDN'T finish it.

I'm really tired today and on top of that, escorted the 2nd grade field trip -- even riding on the bus with them all! I *didn't* give in to the temptation to do nothing but relax when I got home; instead, I got out and walked.

I had several "didn'ts" today... I was in a training class today and I didn't eat any of the doughnuts or bagels that were provided (instead I had my Greek Yogurt and strawberries.)

After getting out unexpectedly early, I didn't go home to catch up on sleep, instead I went out to the barn and rode and then went to the gym with my riding trainer so she could show me some leg and core exercises to improve my riding.

After working out, I didn't have seconds on dinner, even though it was a yummy salad with no bad stuff added, but I truly wasn't hungry after the first one, just enjoying the taste!

I ate exactly the small portion of the Trader Joe's 72% chocolate bar as I'd planned for tonight & no more. I was able to put it away without any difficulty.

I did not go straight home after work & the gym. I went to the grocery store & caught the last-day specials on grape tomatoes, plums & peaches, & also picked up fish for tomorrow night's dinner.
