Default Day One Phase 1- Side effects?

Hi All,

Well, I've almost made it through day one. I planned my entire week food-wise, but I have no desire to cook dinner (BUT I WILL!).

Also, is it normal to feel a bit headachy and lightheaded? I've felt a little loopy all day (felt slightly better after I ate lunch).

Is it the SB flu I hear about? Just my body adjusting to the shift in carbohydrate consumption? (I was completely off the wagon for several months prior to this).

Thanks,
Mary

Headachy and Lightheaded can be side effects of the SB flu. I am pretty sure that the recommendation is to be sure to eat 1/3 to 1/2 cup of beans a day and also drinking milk helps.

Good luck!

to the Beach and to the SBD Flu. The Beachies are right - legumes and milk. Some folks take Metamucil as mentioned in the Book. May I assume you've read the book?

Hi All,

Today is already much better.

I had beans and a glass of skim milk with dinner and that helped tremendously.

No headache or light-headedness today. No hunger either (but I did have my snack even without feeling hungry!)

One day at a time!

Thank you for the input and support!
