we're not at all far from chatham, and of course there are malls in joisy..

and chatham is a nice town with a nice business section, full of places for lunch, coffee, whatever.

I know nothing about that area of the country only that it's all considered the Northeast. My niece is graduating from high school on June 21, and I'm going to be up there for that, might be able to sneak in another day, if the dates are right.

Otherwise, anyone comming to Dallas?

ya take 287 south to route 24 east and it's east of morristown, and west of the short hills mall...

Noranoranora and I are both gonna be there. I just have to get in touch with Rosemarie in Chatham (she's away right now) and see what she has scheduled. A hug and chick chat may be in our future. Maybe Saturday, June 1? We have to drive back on Sunday! Hmmmmm - better press my Chicken Purse.

Until I saw the date you're going Ruthie, I ALMOST told dh that yes, I am going to visit my mom via NJ changeover then ATLANTA layover before hitting SC !! :p

DebKay-Trip to SC is still in the works for sometime this summer! Alot depends on Melissa and also mom/dads 50th anniversary is this year and trying to get my brother to put something together early (it's actually 10/1) so I can attend.

Lexington is just outside Columbia, about 20 minutes from downtown.

actually, deb, you ARE one of the few people i'd sit through a baseball game for. my nephew is another one. and that's about it. notice that peachie's not one of them!!!!

there IS a good airport in newark. and many planes fly into there... just in case anyone gets any ideas...

(I have met 4 people from an All My Children message board and I get together regularly with a couple of them that live close to me! It has been a blast!)

All I have to say is why wasn't I invited? Hmmmm? Don't get your feathers all stuck together, that weekend dh has a golf tournament for work to go to and I have to take care of our wee one. Perhaps more notice for next time?? I'd love a chick get together!

Hey Pooky - this is not an official Chick Meet. Nora and I are in a Garden Site and the rendezvous is primarily for that. At the moment, it may not even happen - some scheduling problems.

Aah Ruthie, I wasn't trying to be a pain in the butt, I just hope that we can all get together for an offical Chick Meet someday! :)

Hey chicks, I think we should start a tradition. The 3FC annual low-carb baseball stadium tour. First, we strap Jif to the top of a rented station wagon and then we drive to a (eek!) Yankees game and move east and/or south from there, all the while keeping Jif either on the car or in a stadium. I suppose we could even go into the Canadian regions, should they manage to keep their baseball teams! Whaddya think? I am practicing my delegating skills, so I think Peach should organize it.

umm. not quite sure, but doesn't short hills mall open like at 11 am on sundays? will that interfere with your going-home schedule????

Short Hills Mall is out. It doesn't open until noon. So the new plan is to meet at a diner New Providence. This will get Nora and me pointed in the right direction for going home. (It is so much easier in Canada where the sled dogs already know the route!)

I will PM Leens (and Gracie), Jiff and Peachie with the exact directions and time (maybe 10?) and also give them Rosemarie's phone number.
