Happy chatting. Vickie 02-16-2009, 09:54 AM I posted on last week's thread before I remembered that we needed a new one for the week. Good Morning Chicks! No time for me to catch up now. I have weigh in and my counseling this morning and a hair appointment this afternoon. I'm still on plan and managed to get my exercise in yesterday. I only walked 4 times this week. I hope the weigh in is good since I walked 5 times last week. Oh well. Can't look back! Or shouldn't. I hope you are all well and on program. I'll be back later. Vickie 02-16-2009, 01:40 PM I'm down 1.8 for the week for a total of 10.8. WOO HOO! beach bum 02-16-2009, 03:10 PM Hi Ladies:) Had lots to do so I didn't have a chance to post until now. W-I was a disaster and I'm not telling you what it was. You'll see what happened just by seeing my 2 tickers. I gained again today, with my face/ neck area is swelling up. Going to the doctor tomorrow to see whats happening & wrong with me. I eat more veggies than grain carbs and have my 4 oz protein along with exercise & having the correct amount of water intake.Keep a food journal watching fats & sodium. What else can I do,I'm very disappointed,as I don't know what to to next. Nothing new, except my computer key board is sticking, and I'm losing some of what I posting.I think they call it sticky keys. VICKIE-Thanks for staying us up this morning for this new week. :carrot:BIG CONGRATS :carrot:on your 1.8 and total of 10.8 You're really dong great on the JC plan, maybe I should try something like that. Tejas 02-16-2009, 05:09 PM Congratulations, Vickie...I know that feels good. Sorry that you've had a setback Maryann and I hope the doctor has some idea about what is happening. I didn't lose anything this week, but I'm just glad I didn't gain since I was eating out most of the week. Rhonda Vickie 02-16-2009, 08:01 PM Thanks Mary Ann and Rhonda! Mary Ann, I hope you get some answers. There's nothing worse than trying as hard as you are and not having loses. Have you checked your thyroid? Welcome Home, Rhonda. Congratulations on holding your own while being out of town. That's quite an accomplishment. ontarget 02-17-2009, 12:44 AM Congratulations, Vickie. You're doing great. I backslid this weekend and am having problems getting back on the wagon. Rhonda, maintaining is good. I know I've gained but I haven't stepped onto the scales. Maryann, blessedwithsarah 02-17-2009, 09:35 AM Hi everyone. Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Saturday night for Valentines day DH and I went out on a date. My SIL babysat for us. I saved points for the night and ate all my points plus a few of my wpas. I made good choices and we had a great night out. Sunday we had church in the am then worked out in the yard picking up brush. Finally there is enough snow to start the clean up. DH will burn during the week, we just needed to get the piles cleaned up. Then yesterday we decided to take a day trip to Maine. Its about a 2 hour drive from here -- did some shopping, had lunch, went to one of our favorite antique shops and came home. MIL came with us, so dd and her had some quality time all day in the truck. It was a nice day and great to get away for the day. Today, just need to grocery shop and then go to a bakery to order cupcakes for dd's bday party. Its a week from Saturday at a local gym, she wants cupcakes and its actually a lot easier to hand those out then cut and serve cake. This after noon I may pull out dd's bike and take her for a ride/I walk. Then back to work tomorrow. Vickie - congrats on the loss!! Great job. Rhonda - gald you made it home OK. How is Jake? Maryann -Let us know what the DR says. Hopefully there will be a reason for whats going on. Hi to Pam, Coco, Sloan and anyone I missed. Going to get breakfast and start moving for the day. BBL beach bum 02-17-2009, 10:05 AM Good Morning Ladies:) Nothing new to report until I see the doctor this afternoon. The one thing I notice was one of the meds he gave me,has a sudden weight gain, bloating side effect on the leaflet,so I going to check with him on that.It was a beta blocker, and according to the Mayo Clinic web site this med has more side effects on it than the leaflet does. Bringing a copy what I found for my doctor to read. Thanks :thanks:Rhonda,Vickie,Sandra & Paula for being there when I needed you most. Hope that's the reason and nothing more serious. I also have to see why I got these migraines last week, hope its just a sinus condition. Have to go,will be back later Vickie 02-17-2009, 10:23 AM Good Morning Chicks! It's a beautiful day here...for now...in the Chicagoland area. It's supposed to snow later. The pup is getting a bath and grooming. I had mine yesterday! Jim is going to the grocery store for fresh stuff for us and then we'll snuggle in to enjoy our life. Good Luck today, Mary Ann. Which beta blocker is it? I think I'm on one too. Paula, your holiday and weekend sound wonderful. It's good to have family. Sandra, just let it go my friend. Don't get on the scale if you don't want to. Just get back on program. Nothing you can do about yesterday or its friends. I'm off to eat breakfast and then exercise. Enjoy your morning. I'll check in later. coco99 02-17-2009, 02:11 PM Hi Everyone Just a quick check in. Wanted to ask a question. Are you allowed to post a web site on here. Last night at our meeting. We were given coupon books. Well there is a web site for a rewards program. If I am allowed I will post the site. I gained 1/2 a pound last night. But I think it is fluid. I have been wanting salty things. So been eating some. So I have to really watch this week. And make sure I get my water in. Well I gotta go. But will be back later. And then I will catch up with everyone Hope everyone has a great day. Vickie 02-17-2009, 03:03 PM Coco, you can post websites as long as they are not competition for 3FC's. Post it. If it's not allowed one of the moderators will just remove it. Sorry about your gain. It's small though and you've been losing great for a couple of weeks in a row. Maybe your body just needed a rest. I did my treadmill. I'm up to 28 minutes at 2.0 mph. Almost a mile. beach bum 02-17-2009, 06:11 PM I just came home from the doctors and I have a bad sinus infection that causing the migraines, watery eyes, plugged ears & swelling in the lower face/throat area. He gave me a prescription to take care of it. I asked him why I'm gaining weight the last two months. If I keep a food journals with calories ranging from 1400-1600 cals.per day and I exercise 5 days a week for 30M on the bike or treadmill and I have 80 oz of water daily.I should be losing something. He agreed and told me to keep a food diary and he'll go over it with me in two weeks. If he can't find the problem he'll send me to a dietitian. VICKIE-He took me off the beta blocker {METOPROLOL}but I have to go off of it gradually, every other day for 5 days. COCO-I wanted to post a web site on 3fc and the moderator sent me an PM explaining why they couldn't post it. coco99 02-17-2009, 08:56 PM Hi Everyone Just getting back on. Here is the web site. www.wwincrediblerewards.com. VICKIE CONGRATS ON THE LOSS :carrot: That is great. You are doing really good. Good job on the exercise too. BEACHBUM Sorry you arent feeling good. But at least now you found out what is causing the migraines. That is good the Dr is going to go over your food dairy. BLESSEDWITHSARAH that is nice you got to go on a day trip. Those are always nice. And to have family time together. ONTARGET I know you will get back on the wagon. I have to get back on myself. TEJAS Glad you are back home. To everyone else "HI" Well I am going to get off here. Just thought I would check in for a few. Going to go watch Emergency with son. Night coco ontarget 02-17-2009, 11:39 PM Maryann, I'm glad you went to the doctor and are getting some help. Take care of that sinus infection. I have had one, too. In fact, I was dizzy all weekend because of mine. Coco, that was probably fluid. You'll get it off soon. Vickie, what grooming did you do yesterday? A new color? Sunday at the tournament some of the folks brought chipotle bowls in to eat. Sure smelled good. I thought of you and the chipotle restaurant you go to sometimes. We went to the club today. I did 56 minutes on the :ebike: I would have done more but Curtis was ready to leave. My eating needs to get better. Tonight we watched Biggest Loser, so I'm motivated. That's good. I hadn't been motivated for several days now. Tejas 02-18-2009, 01:51 AM Hi All: Jakie just died about 1/2 hour ago (12:15AM). He was lively until about 8 PM and his legs gave out from under him. At least he didn't suffer long tonight. We gave him a normal dose of his pain medication and debated whether to take him to the emergency clinic. We're glad we just kept him at home because his death was relatively quick and didn't seem to be painful. We're sad but glad his suffering is over. Poor DH has lost his buddy who kept him company while I was at work. Rhonda beach bum 02-18-2009, 10:53 AM Good Morning Ladies:) Happy that I have a great doctor, and he listens when I speak. Told him about my weight gaining woes, about not matter what I do it does work, well now I have a appointment on March 3rd to go over my journal together and see what I'm doing wrong. COCO-Thanks:thanks: for the web site. I noticed at my supermarket the other day,WW is bring more snacks and breads into the bread section.Love their rye bread and only 1 pts for 2 slices & pita breads for 1 pt. I'm lucky I have a very caring doctor, to do this for me. SANDRA-Thanks,I can't believe that the junk from he sinuses are going into my left eye. Doctor said that the meds should clear all. RHONDA-I'm so sorry to hear of Jake's passing. I so sad, and can imagine how your feel,as I remember when my midnite died 10 years ago. From feline leukemia and she was a indoor cat. with no other cats around.Still can figure that out. Sending out [[[[[[caring:hug: vibes]]]]]] that you will be comforted in this loss soon . Have to go,will come back later coco99 02-18-2009, 03:11 PM Hi Everyone Just a quick stop in. TEJAS I am so sorry about Jake. I know what you are going through. In Nov. we had to have our kitty put to sleep. She had a stroke. And wasnt doing very well. It is so hard. Here's some {{{{}}}} BEACHBUM Hope you are feeling better. ONTARGET Wow you did really good on the bike today. Wish I was that motivated. My bike makes my feet go numb. So I can ride it only about 15 to 20 minutes. So dont ride it much. Been thinking about cleaning off the treadmill. I do the gazelle some. But not enough. VICKIE how are you doing. Not much happening here. Well I need to get off here. Got to check on my soup. Made a big pot of veggie soup today. Be back later. coco ontarget 02-18-2009, 03:28 PM Rhonda, I'm sorry about your losing Jake, but I am glad he didn't suffer long. Give Doyle a hug for me and tell him to do the same. coco99 02-18-2009, 07:57 PM Hi there Just thought I would get back on here. It is starting to rain. Then guess it is suppose to turn to snow. Hope it isnt bad in the morning. Suppose to take the girls to the groomers in the morning. So I probably wont be on until later tomorrow. Not sure how long it will take. Hope not too long. Have some errends to run. So will do those. Soup didnt turn out to bad. But missing something. Maybe will be better after it sits overnight. I dont want to eat out tomorrow. So thought I would make the soup. Wont take long to warm up a bowl when we get home. I hope everyone has had a good day. I am thinking of each of you. Oh. I hear thunder. Better get off here. Night coco ontarget 02-18-2009, 08:26 PM Coco, I made soup today, too. Taco soup. You're right. It's good to have soup to warm up for quick meals. missjay 02-18-2009, 08:58 PM Sorry Rhonda for your loss. I just had to put my baby Jin to sleep a siamese only 5 years old and he had kidney failure. I never so hard in my life and the funny thing is I hated cats. Again I'm so sorry. Tejas 02-18-2009, 10:26 PM Thanks everyone for the thoughts about our loss of Jake. He was such a presence: always happy and enjoying life. He was big too, so the loss of his physical being is very notable. He used to bark everytime DH and I got near each other or kissed  The house is so quiet. It's a lesson about not sweating the small stuff! Rhonda Vickie 02-19-2009, 09:32 AM Good Morning Chicks! Sorry for my absence yesterday. It was just one of those blue days when I had a lot to do...that I didn't want to do.....and I just didn't feel like reading or talking. I had a huge NSV though despite my blueness. I walked on the treadmill as scheduled. It took me until 5 pm but I did it. I also made my homemade applesauce and finished the taxes. This morning I'm feeling happy about pushing myself. I'll be relaxing today while the cleaning lady is here. How decadent! Then out for the weekly special dinner after a few errands. Lordy.....I'd forgotten how much work Core was when I first started. Even for JC, it requires some planning and shopping. It seems like when we are not planning and shopping, we are doing dishes! Except, we haven't used a dinner plate in over a month. What does that tell you? Ok my friends. I'm off to read and catch up. Vickie 02-19-2009, 09:35 AM Oh Rhonda, I am so very sorry for the loss of Jake. You and Doyle have my COMPLETE understanding. I share your sadness and have been there myself. I remember when our kitty, Patti, passed away. She was Jim's cat when we got married and I didn't think that I'd developed a very warm relationship with her. When she was gone I cried for days. They have a way of getting under our skins and into our hearts. He will be with you both always in your hearts. Coco, good girl for making the soup. Getting right back on program is all we can do. Sandra, how are you doing chick? beach bum 02-19-2009, 09:49 AM Good Morning Ladies:) Feeling better every day except for my left eye. Its hurting when touch,& I don't see any sty appearing anywhere on the lids.I'm getting a crust forming when awakening. It might be the antibiotics that is drying out my eye. COCO-Thanks I really feeling a lot better since I taking the antibiotics .I should start making some veggie soup also, but being sick for the last 2 weeks I really don't feel like cooking it. RHONDA-We're always her e for you,not matter what the circumstances. Have a great morning beach bum 02-19-2009, 09:58 AM VICKIE-We posted at the same time. Sorry for yourBLUE DAY.Hopes it better today. You did great working out on your treadmill. I can't exercise until next wee being on antibiotics.Have to watch closely to the food I eat,as the doctor is going to check my food diary in two weeks. blessedwithsarah 02-19-2009, 12:32 PM Hi everyone. Its been a busy week. I did go to wi yesterday, stayed the same. Not too un expected considering the valentines candy I've been consuming. Today is a new day. Coco, the soup sounds yummy. I need to make some this weekend. Rhonda, I'm so sorry about Jake. It doesn't sound like he suffered much, which is a blessing. HUGS to you and Doyle. I can only imagine out house without our 95 pound lab present. HUGS Maryann, glad you are feeling better. Its good that your DR is working with you, hopefully you can figure out a plan that kicks your body into losing. Have you ever had your thyroid checked? I'm hypo-thyroid. When I first got diagnosed, it was after I was struggling to lose. May be worth asking the DR about. Vickie - hope today is brighter for you. But you're doing great - keep up the exercise. Its only going to make you feel better - physically and emotionally. Well, time to think about lunch. BBL beach bum 02-19-2009, 02:42 PM PAULA-I had my thyroid checked several times along with whole wheat allergy testing. Nothing wrong. Had my blood sugar test also..Thanks for the suggestion. ontarget 02-19-2009, 08:36 PM Hi there. Eleven Don Juan Climbing roses came today so I got them into the dirt. Other than that I did 60 min :ebike:. Eating has been a little better but not perfect. Rhonda, I lost my cat right before moving to Montana. She just disappeared. I never got closure. Vickie, congratulations on that great NSV. I am so glad JC is working for you. Maryann, I hope your eye is better. Paula, maintaining is a good thing when there's V candy around. coco99 02-19-2009, 08:38 PM Hi Everyone I am freezing. It is 22 degrees right now. But the wind is blowing. And I guess from running around today. I got chilled and cant get warm. Took the girls to the groomers today. They look really cute. When they brought them out to us. They each had a new "outfit" on. I kinda looked at them. Like whats going on. Here the receptionist. Said that was her treat to the girls. Told her I will pay for them. Said no. She wanted to do it. She likes the girls. The one sweater was a two tone green. And the other was a little scottish out fit. With matching bows. Well I did stick pretty well to the eating plan for today. I took us a slim fast bar. 3 points. And then I got us a mocha lite coffee. Then came home and had soup. And you know. I felt good that I kept to my plan. Usually I give into hubby and get something. But not today. BLESSEDWITHSARAH Staying the same is good. You will have a loss next week. ONTARGET Hope your soup was good. Mine is missing something. But dont know what. Oh well. It feels good in the belly. Guess that is all that matters. TEJAS hope you are doing ok. Thinking of you. BEACHBUM Glad you are feeling better. Hope your eye gets better. VICKIE Sorry about your blue day. But that is great you done your treadmill anyway. Didnt that make you feel great. Know that even though you didnt want to do it. You did. I agree with you about doing core. You really have to plan. Hope you had a better day today. Oh I got some new tea today. It is Pumpkin Spice. Dont taste to bad. Got it at KMart. Its by Bigelow. Well I am going to get off here. Hope everyone is doing ok. Thinking of each of you. Night coco Vickie 02-19-2009, 09:36 PM Hey Chicks! Just got home from my weekly dinner out and thought I'd check in on you all. Coco, I hate being chilled. I hope your tea warmed you up. I keep meaning to try some new flavored teas. I like Bigelow because I think those are the ones in individual packets. They make me feel like they stay fresh longer since I don't drink tea too often. What kind of pups do you have? That was nice of the groomer to give them sweaters! My Scottie would look cute in a scottish outfit but she would HATE it. Congratulations on planning for your lunch today. That's the kind of thing that makes us successful. I hope you get rewarded on the scale next week. Thanks for the encouragement. I was supremely proud of myself for finally getting on the treadmill. Mary Ann, good luck narrowing down what's going on with you. I'm glad the medicine is helping. Thanks, Paula. I know you're right about the exercise. Sandra, may we please see a picture of the Don Juan? I'll have to live vicariously through you since I have a black thumb. Rhonda, thinking of you. Off to eat my applesauce and my dessert. See you all in the morning. Jim is taking me to the show tomorrow. No popcorn but that's ok. Vickie 02-20-2009, 10:31 AM Good Morning Chicks! I win; last post first post. Jim and I are going to the show today. No popcorn. I'm going to bring peeled oranges in my purse. We're going to see Slumdog Millionaire. I hope it's good. Have a great day. I need to eat and exercise before we go. Talk to you later. beach bum 02-20-2009, 11:55 AM Good Morning Ladies:) Very windy up here on the Cape, along with the cold weather returning.:brr:BRRR!!!! I'm getting better each day ,but I'm upset that I can't exercise as the antibiotic leaflet said no exercising, rest !!, while taking these meds. SANDRA-Thanks,I wish I could do some biking, but I do follow rules, and abide with them COCO-I know for sure its not pink eye as the pain is subsiding now,do to using the meds. VICKIE-Now that the mes are working,I can now concentrate getting my weight down, happy that the doctors is working with me on that. Have to go get dresses Vickie 02-20-2009, 12:04 PM We're expecting 6-10 inches overnight. Jim is out getting us supplies to last us until Sunday morning. Done with Winter now. pam920 02-20-2009, 12:29 PM Hi ladies. I've been MIA and not been making good food choices. Been craving salt, for some reason. I lightly salt while cooking and that's it, so I don't know where this is coming from. I haven't been drinking my water either. Rhonda, I'm so sorry about your dog. Glad he didn't suffer too terribly at the end. Seems like he waited for you to come home. Maryann, you have a good dr. Glad he is working with you on this issue. Vickie, enjoy the movie. coco, that tea sounds good. I'll have to look for it. Paula, no gain is good. You'll do great next wi. Sandra, I love roses. It's hard to grow them here, as the japanese beetles feast on them. Hope I didn't miss anyone. Have a great day. coco99 02-20-2009, 12:45 PM Hi Everyone Still cool here. 22 degrees. But the wind is so cold. Wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt blowing. Had to go to the bank and post office this morn. So did that. Had a early lunch. Had veggie soup and a boco mushroom burger on arnolds sandwich thin. Going to fix round steak with carrots and green peppers with diced tomato's for supper. PAM920 I craved salt last week. And dont know why. I dont hardly use salt. And when I do. I use Salt Sense. Not as bad this week. And I am trying to drink more water. Have a good day. BEACHBUM Glad you are feeling better. Hope it warms up for you soon. VICKIE Have a great time at the movie. Good job planning. Maybe the snow will pass you by. Lets hope anyway. Well I am going to get off here. Think I will go ahead and get my carrots cleaned and peeled. And need to get a couple of other things done. Will be back later. coco Tejas 02-20-2009, 04:21 PM :brr: Freezing cold here too. The forecast was for warmer weather yesterday but it didn't happen. Instead we got the wind and snow and the plunging tempertures. This is a dangerous time for ice on the sidewalks. Oh well, it will soon be mostly over. Sandra, I would have really hated to have a pet disappear. That has happened to me only once and it wasn't a pet that I had for a long time. I was a child and a big, black Lab followed me home from school (honest!). He stayed a while, then moved on. My parents convinced me that he would be OK. Pam, it did feel like he waited for me to get back. The vet had said "a few weeks at best" on Feb. 6th. He was really close in that estimate. I haven't been too careful about food or exercise, but as of now, I'm back on track. Stay warm and dry everyone. Rhonda coco99 02-20-2009, 08:16 PM Hi Everyone Well the wind has died down. YEAH!! Supper didnt turn out too bad. I added some pineapple peach salsa to it. TEJAS be careful out on the sidewalks. Stay warm. Not sure what we will do tomorrow. Need to do some house cleaning. Need to get started on the spring cleaning. I just hate to think of that. But it has to be done. Well I am going to get off here for now. Hope everyone is ok. Thinking of everyone. Have a great weekend. coco blessedwithsarah 02-20-2009, 08:32 PM Hi all! Its windy and cold here as well. Just walked our dog and I had my hat on and hood up just to cut the wind. We still did our 1 1/2 mile walk. Doing well foodwise as well. TOM is here now, maybe thats why I was the same this week? Who knows, should be better next week. Maryann, gald your feeling better! Vickie, how was the movie? I need to take dd to one soon, its always fun. I always buy a few different teas, in the individual packs. I love earl grey, vanilla Chia and vanilla almond. All are Bigelow. I always look for ones on sale. YUM, might need to make a pot tonight! Rhonda, how are you and Doyle doing? I hope your not too down. Not much going on this weekend. No gymnastics tomorrow as its the end of school vacation. DD has a friend coming over at 11. I then need to run a couple of errands. Thats about it. Should be a quiet one. I need to go over some recipes and pick up stuff to make for lunches next week. Maybe a pot of turkey chili...Have a good night. Tejas 02-20-2009, 08:42 PM Paula, we're trying to laugh about Jake's antics and ability to get everyone to love him. I just visited this site, and I recommend it. http://www.lost300.com ontarget 02-20-2009, 09:00 PM Rhonda, I even consulted a psychic about my cat. I was devestated. That cat was my last pet. Because of Curtis' allergies, we don't have any furry critters. Vickie, I'm interested in your movie, too. hint hint Got to go. I didn't bring the electrical connection so I need to be sparing with my battery. I'll be back tomorrow. beach bum 02-21-2009, 11:16 AM Good Morning Ladies:) The suns :sunny:out ,but its nippy as the winds are still blowing the trees around. Have to go out for some stables.:brr: Going over my menu for the past week stayed in the range of[28-32pts] 1400 -1600 calories, that my doctor suggested, but still the stupid scale didn't move. Thinking about going down to [26-30pts]1300-1500 for next week. What do you think??? Should I stay on the 1400-1600 for another week????Than let my doctor can figure if I have to go down further. VICKIE-I'm so happy:) that the snow we were expecting didn't happen I just wintered out, need some Spring:flow1::flow1: PAM-I was craving salt and my doctor told me that if from low carbing.by eating protein & veggies not grains.I no where else to turn doing everything right and nothing to show for,so I decided I needed my doctors help, and now I have appointment with him in 2weeks. COCO-Thanks:thanks: I feeling great this morning and my eye is not REDany more. That's the reason I didn't go out yesterday. When its to cold I just wait until I can get out.or I let Leo go out instead for me. PAULA-Walking the dog in the wind is a great workout, especially if its against the wind.Leo thinks I nuts  but some times go down to the beach and walk against the wind, and he sits in the car laughing :lol3: his head off, seeing me blowing toward the ocean. Thanks,I feeling great this morning, hope the feeling lasts. RHONDA-Thinking about the things Jake did helps, as that we did when we had to put our MIDNITE to sleep. There as web site that will comfort you also its called RAINBOW BRIDGE. Thanks for the web site,I going to there and see what it all about. Have a great day.Going to watch the 3 rd day of the golf tournament. See you gals tomorrow Vickie 02-21-2009, 01:10 PM Good Morning Chicks! Wow it's an ugly day here. The snow is swirling and the trees are blowing. We probably won't get all that the forecast but it's going to be bad enough. We got some ice on the south side which is always scary to me. We're in for the weekend so all is good. Pam, I'm having a hard time with my water too. I bought some crystal light mixers to help. I needed some flavor. I was surprised at how many they have now. Coco, I'm proud of how good you're being especially since DH and Son don't always want to eat healthy with you. How are the Arnold's sandwich thins? Is there a certain kind that is better than another? Hope our snow doesn't come your way. Bless you for thinking about Spring cleaning. It makes me feel hopeful that Spring will be here some day. Rhonda,. I know your house must feel strange. I can't even stand it when Cassie goes for her bath. Good for you for getting back on program so quickly. Paula, we saw Slumdog Millionaire. It wasn't my first choice. I wanted to see New In Town but it was gone already. I think it got bad reviews so it moved on quickly. I would have also enjoyed The Reader or Milk but neither of them were here now either. Sandra, are you on the road? How are thing going. Mary Ann, if I were you I'd stick with what you Doctor gave you until you go back to see him. I think you need to give things a chance to work before changing them up so much. Just my humble opinion. Jim and I had a HUGE NSV yesterday at the show. No popcorn. We had a bottle of water that we shared. I smuggled in two peeled oranges and a string cheese for each of us. That's what we ate during the movie. I'm SO proud of us. Talk to you all later. Tejas 02-21-2009, 04:59 PM Way to go, Vickie on the "NSV"! Good for you! Vickie 02-21-2009, 05:04 PM Thanks! blessedwithsarah 02-21-2009, 05:08 PM Happy Saturday. Just got back from shopping - needed to pick up a perscription and a few things to make Salsa Chicken. I also found a recipe in the paper today for shrimp pizza - the crust is brown rice and egg whites. If I use regular cheese its 4 points for 1/4 of a 9 inch pie, ff cheese its 3. I'm going to make that as well. Tomorrow is supposed to be horrible - not the snow Vickie is getting, but I think the same system. We are on the rain side, thankfully! I'm done with winter. Vickie - congrats on th NSV! Thats awesome that you were both so disciplined. Rhonda - thanks for the link. Intersting story. Maryann - I would keep doing what you did this week and see what the Dr says. No sense in still playing with it when he is going to review it with you soon. One thing I did finally pick up today is "Better'n Peanut butter" Its 2 points for 2 TB and it actually taste pretty good. I'm thinking a toasted fiber one english muffin and 1 Tb would be 2 points, top that with 1/2 a banana. YUMMY 3 point breakfast or snack. I also got 2 packages of strawberries ( 2 for $5) - they are washed and drying on the counter. That will be a nice snack tonight. Well, I'm off to do laundry! Vickie 02-22-2009, 10:04 AM Good Morning Chicks! I'm up and ready to go today. I've nothing planned except for exercise and eating well. My scale shows a small gain. That stinks since weigh in is tomorrow. Oh well. I cannot control my body. Nothing to do but keep going. I didn't cheat at all. Hey Paula. I never heard of Better'n Peanut Butter. I'll be interested in your review since I cannot fit peanut butter on JC. I might be able to have 1 TB. Where did you buy it? Ok...off to breakfast and exercise. Tejas 02-22-2009, 11:22 AM Good morning all: Paula, your description of PB, muffin and banana has made me really hungry ;) But, I think I'll make an egg casserole for breakfast. I've got to go to a shower for my godson's wife today: they're expecting their second child in April. We had our movie and dinner (at home) with our friends last night. I made a coconut cream pie for dessert, and I ate only one piece. I want the whole darn pie, but I've exercised control :ziplip: Sammi and Tech/Donna: if you guys are lurking, stop in and say hi  Rhonda coco99 02-22-2009, 03:21 PM Hi Everyone I tried to get on here several times yesterday. But I couldnt get connected with our internet for some reason. So was able to get on today. So know I have to catch up on everyone. VICKIE Good job on taking your snack to the movies with you. That is awesome. Didnt it make you feel good you planned and stuck to it. The arnold thins come in whole wheat and multi grain. I like both. But will probably buy the whole wheat ones mostly. The multi grain to me taste a little like rye. Hubby now has to watch what he is eating. Because his triglycerides and cholesterol were up. They are down now. But still need to come down some more. And we need to get his LDL down. And HDL up. TEJAS Glad you had a nice time with your friends. That is great you ate only one piece of pie. And not the whole thing. Just think of how much exercise you would have to do. It you ate the whole thing. BLESSEDWITHSARAH I will have to see if I can find the PB you are talking about. Sounds like it would be good. I like reduce fat PB. But it is high in points. So dont eat it very often. Your english muffin sounds good. BEACHBUM Glad you are doing better. I think I would stay on what your DR told you until you go back. Then you and he can figure out what to do. We are having some snow showers off and on all day. Had about a 2 inches on the ground this morning. Hope it isnt bad in the morning. Hubby has a DR's appt. Stay warm. ONTARGET Hope you are doing ok. PAM920 Hope you are getting more water in. And the craving for salt is gone. Mine is better. Well I have to get off here. Need to find some stuff for the taxes and get stuff ready for those. And then need to get hold of the guy who does our taxes. It will take me a couple of days to get things ready. I kept putting it off. So now it has to be done. So I will be back later. Have a great day. coco Vickie 02-22-2009, 03:29 PM Rhonda, great job stopping at one piece of pie. Coco, good luck with your taxes. I think I'd like the whole wheat sandwich thins too. I'll have to look for them. I did my exercise and am off to shower so I can watch the Oscars tonight. beach bum 02-22-2009, 03:46 PM Hi Ladies:) Thanks for your input,I will take you advice and stay on the 1400-to 1600 calories for this week. Nothing new ,didn't sleep last night due to a upset stomach, so I woke up late and had to get to church and than Sunday Brunch.Did eat much, just sourdough toast with marmalade and decaf coffee with cream. VICKIE=Congrats on your NSV I love pop corn and don't think I would have given it up. PAULA-You made my day, sharing the pizza recipe.I love the stuff along with popcorn so any different way of making it I will appreciate. Thanks again. COCO-Good Luck with your taxes. We were lucky this year as we got some money back. Have a great afternoon going to watch the golf tournament at 3 PM pam920 02-22-2009, 05:02 PM Good afternoon ladies. We got a few inches of snow overnight. It's cold out there, so I'm staying in today. I did my treadmill and have been watching some tv. My scale was down this morning, so I'm happy. Tomorrow I'm going shopping with my daughter and granddaughter. The 3 of us are going to Vegas in 2 wks and my gd need shoes and pants. Rhonda, good control with the pie. That was my dads favorite. In fact, it was the last thing he ate before passing. He didn't eat much the last few days but he managed to eat the pie and I was so happy. coco, good luck with the tax stuff. I need to gather up our stuff too. I'm waiting until I get back from my trip though. Vickie, I'm sure you'll do fine with WI. You are doing so well. Maryann, good idea to stick with what you are doing now, until your dr. evaluates your journal. Hope you feel better soon. Paula, I'm curious about the PB too. Where did you find it? I usually only eat natural pb, but I'm willing to try something new, for less calories. I have a jar of Waldenfarm's which is 0 calories, but it's pretty nasty. Very sweet tasting. Hope you all are enjoying your Sunday. blessedwithsarah 02-22-2009, 05:18 PM Here is the link to the PB website. I saw an article about it and checked out the site. There is a store locator on the site, I actually found it at my local store. Its pricey, but I figure the jar will last a long, long time. http://www.betternpeanutbutter.com/index.html It was OK weather wise this morning, took DD to church, dh had to work. When he got home I was able to go out for a nice walk in the drizzle. After I got home it started to rain and its been raining steadily all afternoon. DD and I made cookies. I put 1/2 of them away for her to take to school on Friday as her birthday snack. She'll be 6 on Friday - I can't believe it. Time goes by so fast. But its due to her and how my eating and my body image would affect her eating habits and body image that made me finally lose weight and keep it off. Coco, good luck with your taxes. We have out done in March. DH has a lot to pull together as he is self employed. As usual, he'll wait until the weekend before we go. Oh well. Vickie - just keep on plan, and the scale will cooperate. Drink a lot of water today if you can. Rhonda - have fun at the shower. Good going with the pie. I did have one of the cookies. They were too sweet for me!! I'll keep away from them now. Well, going to get ready to go out for dinner. Have a good night. coco99 02-22-2009, 07:54 PM Hi There Well I needed to take a break. The numbers were running together. So thought I would get on here for a break. Boy it was really snowing there a little bit ago. Almost a white out. Hope it isnt bad in the morning. Hubby has a DR's appt. Well I better go. I am going to check out the PB site. Have a wonderful evening everyone. Not sure if I will get on here tomorrow or not. With hubby's appt. And then a couple of errends. Then come home let the girls out. then back to town for WW. Even though I wont be on here. I will be thinking of you. Have a great Monday. Night coco Tejas 02-22-2009, 08:21 PM Hi All: The shower was OK. I didn't overindulge. I also did some exercises on the floor and lifted some free weights. I'll do more later tonight before turning in for bed. Pam, your dad had good taste! I checked out the pb site, but couldn't find a store near here. I'll try a health food store. I tend to buy mine from an old acquaintence as she and her husband run a nut processing company and they use all organic products. I love it but try not to eat much of it. Rhonda Vickie 02-23-2009, 09:41 AM Good Morning Chicks! It's freezing here but sunny. The sun helps. Great job, Rhonda. I have weigh in this morning. I can't believe it but at the moment my scale shows a gain. I ate nothing salty yesterday. I'm too smart for that. Oh well. I just hate the part where I feel that the people at JC will not believe that I followed the program. Have a great day. Tejas 02-23-2009, 09:55 AM Give 'em heck, Vickie. They're there to help you, not to judge and undermine you! It's 14F here with a windchill that takes it down to zero! I might take the car to work :brr: Rhonda beach bum 02-23-2009, 10:35 AM Good Morning Ladies:) W-I this this morning and maintained at 168.5 Have one more week to go, before I go back to the doctor with my food diary,to see what I doing wrong and why I'm gaining instead of losing. Hopefully the mystery will be solved. PAM-That's great to see the scale move down, congrats:congrat: on that account. I 'm almost temped to lower my calorie count, seeing that I maintained ,but I will be patient, hopefully my doctor has the answers. PAULA-Thanks:thanks: for the PB web site. I use Teddies natural PB,but I look around the grocery store for this brand if the healthier. COCO-Have a nice day,and hope you DH has a great doctors appointment, and you have a successful W-I. RHONDA-I'm gong to start to exercise :ebike: again today, now that the antibiotics are almost gone.Have one day to go. VICKIE-Some times I believe that the scale has a little:devil: inside of it. It might be water weight that has to redistributed to bring a weight balance. Wait for 1/2 hr before you W-I again. They shouldn't treat you different if you gained or lost, you paying good money for their services Have to go get ready for today chores Vickie 02-23-2009, 02:37 PM That was close. I lost .4. I'm off to change my ticker now. blessedwithsarah 02-23-2009, 04:46 PM New pages are set up!! vBulletin® v3.6.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
