Good Grief! Where are all you slackers???? How can I be the first one here?

Oh well, coffee is brewing, can't you smell it? Get your mugs and come join me!

Today is scheduled to be a hectic day at work - on Wednesdays we start at 11 and they try to jam in 20 patients to be scanned before 3 :dizzy: it doesn't work! It takes a certain amount of time to do an ultrasound on a pregnant woman, after all, the baby doesn't stay still so you can take a pretty picture!!! Oh yes, I am doing my clinical internship (almost finished!!) in Ultrasound, and my site is a mobile one. Every day we are scheduled at a different public health clinic - needless to say, I am learning that there is a whole 'nother type of life out there other than the white-bread, middle class suburban one where I was raised!

Anyhow - it is a GORGEOUS day here, so rise and shine and come play!

I'm up. Finally get to log in in the AM. Been working the last few weekdays so logging in has been out. (Sorry for the pun.)

I have my little DS's Tiger Cub den coming here tonight for an end-of-the-year pizza and ice cream party. Got lots of cleaning and preparation to do as well as several errands and a promised lunch with some friends! At least the weather is cooperating! It's sunny and just warm enough to be comfortable (but not hot).

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning!

Been up since 5 and had my first fight of the day! an E mail fight with the contractor who wants money... all I want is an itemized bill.

Anyway, off to carpool and coffee with the girls this morning. 2 errands and then back home. I have a printing job to do today and then back to school for a doggie training session (and kid pickup) and then to the market.
DH and I are going to DC for a wedding and i need to lay in some food for the kidlets.

Have a good morning all!
be well,
-L

Thanks for starting us up, SamsGram. I WAS up before 5 but my morning routine depends on my doggies' bladders! This morning they wanted OUT RIGHT NOW. Once I am downstairs I start into my day and don't get on here until later.

I hope everyone gets a chance to post on the BIO thread. I had a really bad moment yesterday when I deleted the entire old thread :o but was able to recover it. Whew! I was going to have to bash myself with my chicken purse.

Yesterday was hectic but lots got done. Dropped Hershey off for her "fur stying" at 8:15, drove to town for my physio and went back to get Hershey at 10:30. She was not ready as the "stylist" wanted my input on the cutting. (She adores Hersh and wanted to be sure she was doing the right cut.) Anyhow we both clipped and cut and trimmed from 10:30 until 1 - I think I should have just taken her home and done her myself. Anyhow Hersh looks gorgeous and a lot slimmer. I am hoping we cut off 10 pounds of fur.

Dashed into town (another town) in the afternoon to get toilet and pedestal sink for my powder room. Kevin is going to install them some "rainy day" when he can't work outside. I love the country! So many folks here are jack of all trades - or should I say Jane? Now I just need to find a garden slave.

Today is a stay at home day. I'll be working outside most of the day and also doing laundry. The winter clothes are still out - still at freezing in the mornings. I will never get my garden in at this rate.

By the way, kiddies, I know I sound like I'm dashing around all the time BUT you must remember that I don't have as much time left as you youngsters so I have to cram lots in! I definitely do take ME time - in small batches.

Have a great HUMP day - notice I hit the right day this week?
:D

Scooby, that's hilarious--significant other of the moment? lemme guess, your brother sees himself as the playboy type? LOL

Ruth, I know what life is like in a small town, I live in one too ya know! And it's so true, everyone has a talent and are willing to trade it for something you can do for them. Hence, dh is known as the computer fix it guy and fileds calls from whoever gets his name from someone!

L--don't even get me started on contractors--if they can't give me a quote right from the start and agree to it and write it down, then I don't even do business with them. I can just imagine the **** you're going through right now!

Joanne--remember to avoid that pizza and ice cream!

hey samnrosiesgram, I wish you lived closer so you could sneak a peak at my tummy to see if I'm ovulating or not! Any little bit of help I can get ya know...hehehe

Still bitter over the daycare thing--I know, I'll get over it but I really loved working there and all the kids! I had such a good time and I know they did too. I guess that's what's making me bitter. I hope I find another supply job soon, just to be back in the groove again!

Today is going to be a fabulous day weather wise--for the first time this abyssmal spring. Going to be sunny and very warm and I can FINALLY get out into my beds and do some quality gardening! Time is running short on me for the growing season so with dh's blessing, we have decided to plant ALL the plants in the front beds, veggies and all. It's the bed that gets the most sun and the greater likelihood that something will come up! Now if only we can get rid of the infernal frost so I can actually plant!

Hope you all have a great day!

Good Wednesday Morning ladies!

Today we are married 10 years and here I sit in Michigan and dh is in Belgium :( He returns Thursday. When I got to work I had the sweetest phone message, it began, "I am sorry I am not with you now, but at least I was there ten years ago..." It just made me weep.

I have been busy with the boys and they have been great while dad has been gone. They sure are growing up fast. Although the promise of a visit to Chuck E Cheese, if they are good, has been a great motivator.

Samsgrandma what a special job.

jdoneil have fun with those Tiger Cubs, they can be a wild bunch!

L sounds like a busy day for you, the wedding getaway will be good for you.

Ruth hope that wounded wing is still on the mend, it does not sound like you are giving it much rest.

Scooby, I was at the dentist yesterday, enjoy!

Pooky, proud of your stand with your old job. They will be sorry for taking advantage of you. Still think you need an interior decorating job.

Hi liz!

Have a great op day!

Morning ladies, yes, I'm late...
DS preschool graduation was sooo very cute last night! Couldn't stop grinning! Not sure, but think that possibly DS was the cutest one there. No, not biased in any way!
Got hired at the preschool for next year! I'll be a permanant fulltime teacher! Just have to finish my Early Childhoold Develpment course this summer. I'm going to take an Excelled version in June (no, not excelled for smarter people, excelled as in fast!)
I finally got one of my good friends here in Houston to sign up for the breast cancer walk with me! Now I have someone to train with! My team that started out with just me is now up to 10!! Pretty exciting! I have made a web page for us (ok, just a basic Yahoo message board) but did it on my own! I'm now in the process of trying to get hotel reservations that suit everyone together. The entire team will be coming in from all different states and most haven't met each other yet! Will be great fun I'm sure! We will stay in a hotel in Santa Barbara on Weds. and Thurs, and then Friday and Saturday night we will be in tents along the walk route! Then Sunday we will collapse back at our hotel!! I'm also looking into group rates at a spa for Monday before we all fly home!!
Sure none of you wants to join the fun????
By the way, I did reach my minimum of $1,900 already!! Yeah!!
Great day all!
Stacey

Well well well don't I feel stupid - I finally found out what was wrong with my puter and more importantly why I could not get into the chatroom like before.....

I downloaded a Pop Up Stopper from Panicware.com that was suppose to keep those advertisement boxes from popping up whenever you are surfing the net. Well let me tell you it works great - so well in fact that it was not letting it pull up the pop up window when I would click on chat.

I had disabled the alert sound to let you know that a box was not popping up because I did not really want to hear it every time an advertisement would have been shown!

I had no idea that it would keep ALL pop up windows from opening up - I thought it was just the ones with advertisements!

Duh on me! Oh well at least the mystery is solved now! I thought my puter was really messed up - but as usual it was just operator troubles! haha

Hey guys!

Early morning-running to library story time with the kiddos. I think I'm going to have to face it. Dylan is getting to heavy to stay in the back pack much longer. I just can't hike it up those hills with 32 pounds of squirming 22 month old and 8 pounds of library books on my back.

Well, he's napping Maggie is looking through her new books and I'm enjoying a cappuchinno made with 1/4 cup of half and half. It is so yummy after these months of skim milk.

Sam'sgrandma- I saw a commercial for something called 4D ultrasound, it was so cool you can see the baby in full color like there's a little camera inside. I said "Oh great now we have to have ANOTHER baby so I can get one of those done!"
DH did not think this was a great reason.

Well, I've got lots to do and a large salad awaiting me.

have a great day everyone.

Cathy -- THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!:D You solved my major dilemma!! but boy oh boy - do I ever feel stupid! I thought imaybe t had to do with a spam-killer that I had installed, so I uninstalled, and THAT didn't work! duuuuuuuh! :?: Also, the list of smilies wouldn't pop up either!!!
Anyhow..... thanks again, from my 'puter-challenged self!!:o
Sundrop - he's right!! NOT a good reason..... I haven't seen the new machines yet (except on TV) - if I had been able to afford to go the seminar that is currently taking place (in Atlantic City!!) I would have been able to see it... but alas! I am a poor student who hasn't earned $$$ in almost 2 years! DH will soon tire of supporting me! tuff luk, hon!

Just a quick pop-in and  cause it's so late.

WARNING: THIS POST MAY START AN UNCONTROLLABLE CRAVING

I went to dinner with my best girl friend and guess where we went?

Needless to say, I had the chips! And the guac, and the cheese, and the tortilla wraps!

Also needless to say, it was divine, and if my clothes don't fit tomorrow I'll know why.

Ya'll please don't kill me! I'm starting induction AGAIN on Friday!

Have a wonderful evening, I'll talk to ya'll tomorrow!:)
