Default A gain i dont understand :(

I went on a martial arts camp this past weekend. On Friday we trained for 2 horus, we trained all day saturday, and until about 2:30pm on sunday. It wasnt hard hard exercise all the time because we had to last the whole weekend, but it was tiring, i was sore, and we were always moving. I just weighed myself though and i am up a kilo on last week not only that, but since i started weighing myself daily i can tell you that i gained about 800g of that kilo over the weekend. I just finished tracking my calories for it, and my intake for friday, sat and sun was 1454, 1883 and 2072 respectively, with an average intake of 1560 for the whole week. So how did i gain so much?? I know 2072 isnt particularly good, but surely thats only maintenance levels? Am i just retaining water? This is really disappointing for me

Oh hun, you must be exhausted! x3 But hey, don't let that scale get you down. Your probably retaining water. Is it near TOM for you? Or maybe a little after wards? I would wait a day or two to weigh again, which I know can be hard sometimes, and make sure you went to the bathroom before weighing. It can make a big difference. ;]

Don't be disappointed. Your work will help you out in the long run. This happens to me all the time after strenuous workouts. I always gain weight after a long workout, and seem to drop a pound after my day off. I think it's just water retention, and a nutritionist told me something about muscle fatigue. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what the real explanation is, but at least you're not alone!

yeah i am pretty tired, worse i have to supervise an exam today so i have to at least try to be on to it! Its not really near TOM for me, about 2 weeks away from it. I'm drinking gallons of water, hopefully that will help I feel so blobby and fat today though

It probably is just water. Sometimes I can gain up to 10lbs of water weight!

I would say it is just water too. Your muscles are probably holding on to some water after all that exercise!! Dont let it get you down!!
