Thought I would give you two a big hoorah for starting out tomorrow! Please let me know how you are doing and what you did on your first day.

I woke up today not very enthusiastic to start Phase 1 but I did it! I guess all the pizza and wine last night gave me the final push to start eating better!

I followed the first day pretty much like it's outlined: egg beaters, fruit, salad, etc. I had two snacks already and will probably have a third because the first day's food is so low. The hardest thing is to give up is candy (and I even bought discounted valentine's candy but didn't open it!)

I am excited about making it through the first day--I've got tomorrow's food outlined also. Yeah!

OK--day 2 is not over but it has gone well. It was a little harder because I hung out around the house all day and thought about what I couldn't eat. I go back to work tomorrow--I don't know if that will be better or worse. I get up by 5 am to work out so it ends up being a long day.

I've got my lunch and snacks packed already so I am set. We will see how day 3 goes!!!

Great job to the both of you!

Marathon - I also pack my food for work. You gotta be prepared!!

NewEnglander-- Now that I am in PI I have added some sweets-- chocolate to be exact. Instead of buying a candy bar I get semi-sweet chocolate morsels. The kind you bake with. I've been reading how chocolate is good for you and the darker the better. Anyway-- I snack on a handful of morsels after dinner for a treat. I can satisfy my sweet tooth without eating a full candy bar that way.
