Question question about 30 ds

Ok, so I started the 30 ds last night and tonight my muscles in my shoulders neck, and calves are tight and killing me, should I proceed to work through that tonight, or should I take a break for the rest of the night, so it can repair... I know my trainer at the gym used to have me wait it out, but I dunno...

Maybe you can take a break from 30 DS but do another "easier" workout..like pilates?

I know exactly what you mean! That thing kills your body the first like 7 days you do it. I did it every other day until my body got used to it. Definitely don't overdo it & hurt yourself. Just listen to your body. You might even be able to continue to do it but just really modify it so that you aren't in agony.

Hope that helps!

push through it. there's nothing wrong with exercising on sore muscles. listen to your body. if you are honestly injured, obviously its unwise to injure yourself further. but if you are sore, it means you got a good workout. cramped muscles and overproduction of lactic acid just means you exerted yourself physically. but that's what we want anyway right.

good luck!!

Generally with weight lifting you should have a rest day between workouts (unless you're working different muscles), they need time to repair and rebuild! One day rest should be enough though, but you might still be sore after two and that's okay! lol

If you are hurt, you will know it. Listen to your body and don't lie to yourself. I am doing the 30DS for the second time. Yes, it makes you sore. That's the point. That's how you get stronger. Do some extra stretching before and after your workout of you need it. Good luck doing the 30DS!
