It consisted of:

Two slices of sourdough bread
Four slices of tomato
Four ounces of lettuce
Five slices of smoked turkey deli meat
Half a tablespoon of low fat mayonnaise

Just for 350 calories!!! It was very filling, and tasted glorious!

Sandwiches are under-rated IMHO. There are so many fabulous breads ... lovely cheeses ... low fat meats ... alfalfa sprouts!

Oh sounds so yummy!!! I love turkey sandwiches! I have a very unfortunate mayo obsession though, eek! I found some really yummy all natural honey mustard and I definitely think I found a new favorite! Three cheers for healthy, yummy foods!

I LOVE sandwiches. If you use the 45 calorie bread and spicy brown mustard instead of light mayo, there is enough room to add a slice of (real) cheese all for under 225 calories (including loads of veggies...lettuce, tomato and onion). Yum, I wonder how many of those I've eaten in the last year...probably around 350. <wink>

You could always ask. lol My advice... if they don't know what kind of bread it is you might want to stop eating there because they might not know what else they are feeding you.. :P jk lol :dizzy::D

LOL! I actually did ask a mgr one time. He wasn't quite sure but thought I could get something very similar at Giant. Now that it matters for the moment as I am trying to stay away from bread for atleast another week.

I'm with ya! tomatos! ACKKK! :barf:

and 4 OUNCES of lettuce? thats a LOT of lettuce for me! LOL!

I found Weight Watchers bagels in the grocery store a while back and lately I love to make bagel sandwiches (150 cal /2pts). My favorite is a egg beaters (1/2 cup 60 cal.) and a 1/4 cup shredded Kraft Free Cheddar Cheese (45 cal) melted on top for a great breakfast sandwich (255 cal total) in the morning!

I'm going to have to find some sour dough bread it sounds mmmmmm! :D
