Calmly ... if there is any indication of infection (lumps, pus) you need to see a doctor. If it's just red, apply vaseline or even olive oil. No soap, no body wash, no powder, no perfume.

If it doesn't improve remarkable in a day or two ... go to the doctor anyway.

The worst pain of my life (SERIOUSLY) was from a pilonidal cyst. It was the kind of "makes you want to die" pain that is just no fun. I couldn't do ANYTHING without it hurting.

Doctor!

I'm not ashamed to admit that I have hemorrhoids, which can be very painful for some people. Perhaps it's something like this? They can be internal or external, so it could be a possibility.

Either way, I think it's time to call your doctor.

I totally agree on the hemmy's! I had them with both kiddo's and yeah, the hurt!! Get some witch hazel (probably near the rubbing achohol in the store) and use that, it cools and soothes. And just be sensitive to the area for awhile. They'll heal right up after birth.
