Ice cream ideas?
Hey guys!! I had a question on ice cream. Sunday nights were usually movie/ice cream night in my house, where I would have some guests over for a movie and ice cream. Either haagen-dazs or ben n jerry. Yeah, I know. I'm definately NOT on that plan anymore, lol, but was wondering if anyone has any good ice cream ideas. Any brand/flavor that is low cal or fat free. I don't usually ever have a sweet tooth, but a little serving every now and then is all. Thanks!

Regular cheap, non-premiun ice cream has only 120-130 calories per 1/2 cup. I have that when I want ice cream. Check the nutritional info on the cheaper brands and you might find something you like.

We have been going to TCBY and getting there frozen packs. They come in great flavors and my kids love them. Also to keep portions in control they must eat it on a cake cone, the cone only adds 15 calories.
My husband loves ice cream, he swears by the Edys light but it is not really that low in calories to me. He is ok with it because he burns things off much easier than I do.LOL He also like the Blue Bell frozen yougurt.
Hope this helps.

mmmmm Dreyer's.... it tastes JUST as good as full fat ice cream and usually has about 120 cals per serving. I LOVE me some peanut butter cup ice cream!!
OR just get Skinny Cow- that way it's in single servings already... there's cones (150cals) sandwiches (150cals) and new chocolate dipped ice cream on a stick (50cals) And all are AWESOME!

I like to get Weight Watchers ice cream bars, frozen fruit bars, or fudge bars. Then I can eat one bar and be done after 60-120 calories. I can't be trusted with a carton of ice cream....way too much seems to disapear!

i have the skinny cow dippers and they are really good.. they are actually 80 calories each. also healthy choice has really good ice cream bars for 80 cals each. They have an awesome fudge flavor and rasberry and cream and oranges and cream flavor.

I love the Stonyfield Farm Frozen Yogurts - 100cal per serving for Vanilla, Chocolate and Java, some more for the other varieties. Just bought the After Dark Chocolate yesterday for a little daily icy treat.
Before that I had a box of Trader Joe's Mango and Cream Bars, 60 cal per bar and very yummy, but more of a summer flavor.
When there's a sale on Wallaby yogurt, I sometimes buy a few and put them in the freezer - they turn out really nice.
Oh, and lovelypurple - I see your frozen bananas and raise you some frozen grapes! Both sooo good!
