Default Carbquik vs. Almond Flour

I'm just curious. I'm looking through recipes for when I'm finished with induction and ready to add in some different foods and came across some yummy looking recipes... some using Carbquik and some using Almond Flour.

Does anyone have a preference? Another form of 'flour'?

I'd appreciate anyone's input

I personally prefer almond flour. Carbquick is basically a low carb version of Bisquick and contains artificial ingredients. It also tends to be tricky in recipes as it can have an overpowering "baking powdery" taste...you also need to be careful with mixing & over-mixing causing stickiness or toughness.
Almond flour is costly if you purchase it in the store or online...but, you can buy raw almonds & put them in a food processor or a coffee grinder & make it yourself as needed, knowing exactly what's in it
