Ok so I wanna join in :] I'm 17 and i don't quite feel comfortable in some of those other forums. This'll be perfect.

I'm going for 1500 minutes.

Feb.2- 30 min. Elliptical, 20 min. Bike, 10 min. Treadmill

Glad you found us nelli, its wonderful to have new people come and join us! I did 30 minutes bike and a 30 minute weight video, my abs hurt!!! I having been trying to relieve some minor back pain at the top of my spine, but nothing seems to rid of it. :mad: Ah well, its not hurting my exercise routine and thats the positive side! :dizzy:

Hi everyone,

I just wanted you all to know that I am here, but having trouble setting a personal goal for the month. I am so afraid of failure - I suck! I have only exercised for 35 minutes so far (that was on Sunday) but I promise to get my butt in gear tomorrow! So, that brings our group total to 3911, but I'm not sure about my personal goals yet - hope that's okay!

I Did 15 min. treadmill for warmup, then a 60 minute bootcamp class. It kicked my butt but it feels skinnier! lol.

I want to do at least a 1000 minutes this month.

Yesterday I did:

20 min of sit-ups = 200 sit-ups
15 min of walking = almost a full mile
30 min of lifting to rearrange the house

Today I did:

10 min of sit-ups = 100 sit-ups

Equaling 75 total minutes so far...

I think I've lost another pound since yesterday! I worked out and ate the right things so I didn't have a lot of calories involved. I ate A LOT for around 1050 calories.

I had:

1 cup cheerios
.5 cup milk
1 nonfat yogurt
1 kiwi
1 turkey sandwich that included -
2 slices sourdough bread
3 ounces lettuce
.5 tablespoon low-calorie mayonnaise
2 tomato slices
4 slices turkey deli meat
(total of 350 calories just from sandwich!)
1 turkey hot dog
1 bun
.5 tablespoon catchup
1 cup grapes
1 pickle
1 hundred calorie chocolate ice cream bar

Just for 1050 calories!! :carrot: :hug: :high: :broc:

I've been doing sit-ups, but I may stop doing regular on the floor sit-ups for awhile because yesterday I could barely move. I'll try another type of ab work today though. I'll figure out some non-hurtful things to do. :dizzy:

today was my well deserved day off from the gym, but i raked my front lawn free of twigs for about 45 min. so that still counts. good ab workout!

i have some good ab workouts that are intense but non-hurtful for your back.

-get in position to do a crunch, but let your knees fall apart to the sides. (looks awkward, but just go with it lol)
-keep one hand behind your head, and do a crunch, reaching with the other hand towards your feet X20
-Without stopping, stay in the same position but reach with your free hand toward the ceiling for 20 reps.
-Still not stopping, move your free arm up by your head so it's touching your ear. Go for 20 more reps.
-Switch arms and do it again on the other side!

It sounds kind of complicate but it works amazingly!

Another of my faves:

-bring both knees bent 90 degrees up off the ground.
-keeping your knees together, let them fall to one side.
-do crunches in this position, as many as you want.
-switch sides.

this really works the obliques, and you can really feel your muscles working.

I was just looking back at posts and I do workout a lot! But it's all thanks to you guys! I know that I have to come back here everyday with my minutes, and you guys hold me accountable. So thanks everyone for getting my butt back into shape! :]

I really feel like i'm moving toward my goal! I thought i'd share it with you guys. My goal isn't only my weight, but I just registered to do a triathlon on June 26! I am committed and so I HAVE to do it. :] I'm really excited to do this for myself. It's something I never thought I would do!

But anyways, today I ran for 20 minutes, did 25 minutes on the elliptical, and a 60 minute power pump class that I almost died in. It was so hard! i definitely felt the burn!

So some people set a monthly goal of how many minutes you want to spend working out this month. Every time you work out you add your minutes to your personal goal, and then the group total.

K8-EEE has a good example right above your post.

Her Personal: 322 minutes + 45 (her workout) = 367 minutes

GROUP: 6235 minutes + 45 (her workout) = 6280 minutes

So feel free to set a goal and update your total every time you work out! :]
(Sorry my explination isn't so great, Rainlady could probably explain it better)

when she's saying 322, that's her monthly total so far, plus her workout today which is 45, giving her 367 for her monthly total so far out of whatever her goal was right?

And for the group total, I'm adding my workout minutes so far to whatever the group total is so far...and so right now the group total is 6000 but its been passed? like you guys beat your own goal already?

Pokio I got a tip from "Painted Lady" here at 3fc, she had a lot of success with the "Yoga Booty Ballet" videos. I ordered a couple of them from, used copies but they work great. I'm sort of still stumbling through it but starting to get it. The name is stupid but they do have a nice zen-like vibe to the vids.

i actually achieved a really big goal today! so i'm training for a triathlon, and i was terrified about the running section. but today i jogged the whole 2.5 miles! which is huge for me! i am NOT a runner! lol. so i just thought i'd share my little milestone with everyone. :D

redgirl09 and her crazy workouts made me feel lazy. so i went for a 60 minute walk to my moms work to say hi in this beautiful weather! :flow2:

I started a new video called Tae-Bo! Good golly did that hurt. It was a combination of yoga, cardio, and kickboxing. Insane! Picture this after 20 minutes I was sweating like a pig. I felt like I hopped out of the bath. I know gross! It gave me a really nice workout though!

Did 30 minutes cardio and 30 minutes elliptical. Had a busy day, my brother and sister competed in Academic Decathalon state competition, we had to travel far and we didn't get back until like 3 hrs ago.

I had a total Lost Weekend (Oscar festivities -- and drinks, and hors d'ouvres etc. took over Sat. AND Sun as we had a pre-Oscar bbq)

But!! I managed to drag myself out of bed early and get my bloodshot eyes over to the Y for a I can at least add 30 minutes today, def an hour tomorrow!

i am trying really hard to get back on track. i have some TOM emotional stuff that makes it really difficult for me to workout or eat right. i am not going to beat myself up over it, but i know that i felt good about the following workout. just getting it done took a lot of disappointment-stress off of my mind.
