For the past couple of weeks my weight loss has slowed dramatically -- down to 151, up to 154 (that one scared me, I was like: What did I DO?), then back to 151 for a while...
I decided to calm down and acknowledge that I've done a very good job with my exercise and eating habits, and it would be okay for me to hang out at 151 for a while. I am working out very hard, both cardio and weights, and I am monitoring what I'm doing. I have not slacked off. I can chill for a while until I decide how I want to mix things up, wait for the weather to warm up so I can get back to doing my usual running, etc.
This week: 3 pounds!
The best part about this is that I use a doctor's scale at home -- the kind that has the upper bar that measures in 1-pound increment and the lower bar that measures in 50-pound increments. This morning I got to move the lower bar weight from 150 to 100 (and of course the upper bar weight then went from the left all the way over to the right
). I went: Whoo hoo! Go team! Moving that weight from 150 to 100 felt GREAT.
(My body has been feeling different recently -- for example, I took off my jeans the other day...without unbuttoning them.)
