welcome! and congrats on the fact that you've already lost 10 lbs! that's a great start! if you don't think that is a big deal go hold 2 bags of sugar- you weigh that much less right now!
I suggest you look at the Before/After pictures on this site if you haven't already. A lot of people have lost mad weight on here, 100 pounds and more.
It can be done! The proof is in the pictures! You just have to work at it and stick with it and you can do it too!
I have been over weight my whole life and have never tried to lose weight before, EVER. If I can lose weight, I'm sure anybody can. The only thing that changed about me to make me successful, is that I really really wanted it. If you don't REALLY want it, it's going to be harder. Maybe make a list of all the reasons you want to lose the weight, big and small things like for health or for those cute pants that you can't fit into. My list includes things like going rock climbing, and fitting into the roller coasters at amusement parks again. The list reminds me of why I started this in the first place.
I'll stop rambling now.
Lots of folks do find it helpful to break up their "big picture" into smaller goals--the next 5 pounds, or the next 10 pounds. It's not so overwhelming that way.
This is a great place-lots of support and knowledge. I've never been able to lose weight before learning about 3fc and I've been trying for almost 35 years! So, it can be done-be patient, stick to your plan, and visit here as often as you need!
